We were going to go for dinner with family this saturday but as weve a disabled child with a wheelchair we cant go no lift to the level where we can sit for a meal so had to rearrange our venue

Very first “sit-in” meal last night since easing of restrictions and where better than our favourite restaurant, the TT Bistro in North Down House.Nicky and his team have clearly worked hard over the past couple of weeks to give the place a very tasteful makeover ready for re-opening and they’ve done an excellent job. Oh, and of course the food and drink were top notch as always!!Back soon Nicky!!

Used this takeaway menu last Sunday. The meal for 4 was ready at the agreed collection time. The choice was extensive and the food was excellent.especally the Sunday Roast, with superb and very tender beef.Looking forward to visiting when the re-opening takes place , hopefully in a few weeks.

The TT has been consistently serving great food from their take out menu during these trying times, can’t wait to get back under normal times to enjoy the food with a few small libations added in. Well done TT!!

I lady I work with told me I had to try this place especially the Oriental Chicken (can be a starter or meal meal) I wish i had taken a photo as i had it as a main meal and I am so glad I did because it was delicious and I will definitely be back.Even though it was very busy the staff were very friendly and we did not wait to long for the food. My sister had the beef and bird which was nice also but the Oriental Chicken is a must.J

We have visited the TT in many occasions and loved it, and my recent visit didn’t disappoint. They provide a good choice of menu, with competitive prices, and the food is always full of flavour. Portion sizes are amazing. Highly recommended.

Just been to have lunch at the TT Bistro it was lovely certainly won't hesitate to go back. Food was gorgeous and the staff were really friendly which was a bonus. Can't wait to go back.

A few friends and I ate in the distillery lounge last night, we had the basket food which included oriental chicken and fish and chips. It was late on but the restaurant staff upstairs happily catered for us even though they were busy. Food was really fresh and hot, very reasonably priced for £6/head. Portions very generous also. I’m looking forward to going back and trying the upstairs restaurant.

We love the TT and that's why we go back time and time again. Freshly prepared, locally sourced food & a great gin collection. Our boys love it too. Highly recommend.

Met up with ex-nursing friends for lunch. Very good choices and good value. We booked for the senior citizens lunch even though we still call ourselves the girls. Service was excellent and Christine looked after us very well in her usual jovial manner. Nicky was helping in the kitchen yesterday but took the time to come out and speak to the diners that were there. A very professional thing to do that made us feel very welcome and special. Many thanks to Nicky and the team for another great meal.

Went for Sunday lunch here. First time there. We both had three courses. Service was good. Food was definitely in my opinion far too simple and lacking flavour for the money we paid. Our starter was cold and the main was lukewarm. Place also seemed like heating wasn't on as was very cold. Table beside us also commented on this. Bill came to near £50. For the food we received I don't think it was worth it. Decor also seems tired and needs updating. Won't be back to the TT.

Would visit the T T quite often for tea and have always found the food to be excellent and good value. The staff have always been helpful and pleasant. A restaurant with great atmosphere, cosy and friendly.

Love the TT, just down the road from us.Went for the early bird menu downstairs to the Distellery Lounge, have been in for lunch there also with friends.Lovely atmosphere , great food and very helpful staff.

I had dinner here on Saturday evening - the venue was busy but this served to provide a good atmosphere and buss - it not interfere in the standard of the food and service - cant wait to visit again

Im guilty of having the TT only a short walk away but have not reviewed it and because it has been there as long as I can remember I take it a little bit for granted. Ten of us decided to head out for a meal and going here made it a short trip or walk for everyone. On looking through the menu it seemed nobody was making it past the first page and the steak deal. A mixture of sirloins and rump steaks were ordered along with evey concievable cooking preference and side orders. It would be easy to forgive a few mistakes when the order came out but every single item was served as ordered. Again cooking ten steaks would be a challenge for any chef but again every single one was top quality and cooked perfectly. Sitting to my side was a friend who is a butcher and he agreed that we had served a great bit of steak. Well done to the chef and table staff who made it a great night out.

This place never fails to deliver excellent food freshly made. I am very picky about where I eat as so many eateries use frozen foods and bought in desserts but it's all fresh here and their desserts made in house are to die for. Hard to work out how they deliver such amazing food at very competitive prices but I'm definitely not complaining. Friendly staff and fab food consistently. Thank you Nicky and team.

Family group of 11 midweek. Delicious food. The scampi is a must. All food cooked to order so allow a little time. Early bird menu is good value and reasonable wine list. Service coped with the group size very well and was very pleasant. Pleasant environment. Well recommended.

Recommended by a local as we were staying locally. Really great menu, friendly service, not rushed but not slow either. Great choice of gin available !! Overall good freshly cooked food at a very reasonable price. Will definitely visit again when in the area.

Following my review last week I want to say this week was a disaster. My husband and myself arrived at 2pm and ordered very lightly battered haddock one with rice and one with garlic potato. At 3.10pm the meal arrived. It was not our order at all. Sorry won't be back. I would say the young man behind the bar was most apologetic and agreed that it was not what we ordered or about the length of time. If you are advertising the distillery lounge it needs to be better serviced.

My husband and I went for Sunday lunch as a special treat. Everything from the starter to the main course and the dessert was very tasty and beautifully cooked. We will definitely be back.

Thoroughly deserved #1 rating In Comber.......what more need be said? Top staff, top food, top service!! Would never think of going anywhere else. If you haven been, give it a try. You won’t regret it!!

Another lovely evening in the TT a favourite of mine to meet up with friends have great food great service in a great atmosphere. the monkfish curry is awesome.

Visited one evening and had the best meal we have had for ages. My starter of camembert cheese was followed by pork belly and both courses were excellent. The seating, staff, value and service were all of the highest quality.

Called here one evening and had the best meal we have enjoyed for a long while. My only gripe is the size of the starters as my delicious mozzarella cheese barely left room for the so good pork belly. The atmosphere, seating, value and staff were all excellent and we look forward to returning.

Called in her recently for dinner. We had heard through friends of the very well priced earlybird menu. 2 courses £13.95.

We had decided to try this restaurant after checking the menus, as my OH doesn’t eat any vegetables what so ever and and it can be hard to find somewhere that he has a choice other than fish & chips, chicken goujons or burger, he settle for the fish cake starter but had to yet again choose a burger as everything else had veg somewhere in it, both our starters were nice, I had the chicken spring roll, he did find the burger turned out dry by the time he got half way through it, but it was very tasty, I choose the chicken & beef in peppercorn sauce with a side of salad instead of the potatoes, although the food was, as I say nice it was the service that let this place down, there was three members of staff on the evening we were there and although pleasant, none of them went out of their way to see if we were happy with everything, the bill was asked for and left on the table, we put the debit card on the saucer but nobody made any move to come and take our payment, two members of staff walked past a few times, so we headed to the bar area to pay, maybe this is what you are suppose to do but if they had said when they brought the bill we would have known what to do, we were not asked if we enjoyed our meal or if everything was ok, so sorry guys but we will not be back.

Having been in the past and given a poor review we have been twice recently and I have to say the food and service was excellent.We will be back.thank you.

Visited here on a whim with 3 kids in tow. Very accommodating staff and the food was great. Homemade burgers were delicious as was my seafood pasta.

I've been dining in the TT since I was a child, brought here by my parents who, in turn, came here since the 1960s. We have seen changes in layout, decor and ownership but the quality has never changed.

It’s turning out to be an annual visit for a family member birthday meal. Was not disappointed with the great food and service. Everyone really enjoyed their menu choice. Would definitely recommend a visit when considering where to dine in Comber. It’s only a short drive from Belfast, Ballygowan or Newtownards.

Called in at tea time and had the early bird menu. The food was really good, the beer exceptional, the decor fascinating, the staff excellent. Will go again

Having had Sunday lunch here in November (it was quite a few years since we'd been) we thought the food was good, so we booked again for a meal in December with 3 daughters, one of whom is coeliac. Staff were helpful and careful to advise and check for her meal as it's stressful for her to trust a restaurant! Everything was great. Next time, in January we took visitors there for an 'early bird'...again it was all lovely...good food, good choices, good service, good price.

I visited for a Sunday evening meal with my husband. There is some on street parking at the venue and a small car park close by. The restaurant is upstairs with a bar below.

We attended the New Year’s Eve function upstairs in the restaurant, lovely menu and selection, beautiful food and wonderful service. As it was a special night it started with bucksfizz then later on we had good entertainment. Very enjoyable night

Haven’t been to this restaurant for a long time and when I dined there recently was very impressed.

This bistro is crying out to be modernised. Not a place for a special night out. The food is ‘just ok’. Service was OK. Won’t rush back.

Well as usual service was exemplary, staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for us. There were 15 of us and the meal was all delivered on time and was delicious. Many thanks to all at the TT Bistro for another great night out with lovely memories made.

My husband took me and my Mum to the TT for Sunday lunch. We all took the salmon in a creamy sauce and were not disappointed with our choice. The selection of veg that were brought in a separate dish were all lovely too. My husband then had an espresso coffee and mum and I shared the raspberry and lemon curd roulade . The flavours together were really lovely. Thanks Nicky, all chefs and all waiting staff.

The food is outstanding, reasonable and all staff are friendly & helpful. Since moving to comber road a few years ago we have visited the TT bistro on a regular basis, I can say the food had been delicious in all occasions. We have tried nearly everything on their menu. Looking forward to returning again soon.

As a family this is one of our favourite restaurants. From the food to the staff this place is excellent. The food is awesome and the staff are first class, professional, warm and so attentive. It's our first choice for celebrating any family occasion. Sincere thank you to Jordan and the team, well done, you all work so hard. We really enjoyed our visit last night as we always do. The cousins all met up and had another fantastic meal at the TT. Two of us had the seafood pasta which was really scrummy. All the others really enjoyed their choice of meal ranging from ham shank to baked salmon. All good and the staff friendly and attentive as always. Thanks Nicky, Jordan and all the team. I have never been to this restaurant but I plan to go very soon. I had the pleasure today to meet the owner Nicky, and what a complete gentleman he is. I was stranded in Belfast with a puncture. Nicky went out of his way to help with a buzz gun to try and remove the nuts and when this didn’t work he phoned his mechanic friend Gareth (who also works at the TT). Between the two of them they got me back in the road - nearly 2 hours later. Two absolute gentlemen and nothing was too much bother to them. I can’t thank you enough.. Will be out to visit soon! Food excellent with a wide and varied menu staff very friendly and welcoming .They are more than happy to oblige with slight changes to meals or even if something isn't on the current menu which changes in a regular basis to add new dishes

I have not been to The TT for years , but last week my Wife and I decided to pop in. Well I will not wait so long again. Friendly and attentive staff nice atmosphere and great food at a great price!

The food here is great and the staff very attentive without being obtrusive. Good menu choices for me as a vegetarian. You can have a leisurely meal and take your time to chat afterwards without feeling rushed out.

Met some close friends for lunch at 1:30. It was quiet. Very tastefully laid out table seating with lots of space. The server was very efficient and attentive. Drinks came quickly. The menu was varied and looked like it would meet most peoples needs what ever they were. Our 3 meals were delicious. The price was excellent for what we got. A great spot for a meetup. Highly recommend. Stairs are steep to get there which might concern some elderly but I am sure thay have a lift for handicap access. Give them a try.

Had an excellent lunch here last week with friends from London. Menu is varied and suits all tastes. Staff are friendly and know what extras there are to offer. We will return to this restaurant soon.

We have eaten here many times in recent years and have finally got round to posting a review. There is always a warm welcome from Nicky, Jordan and their colleagues. We have never been disappointed with the food, which is always superbly cooked and delicious, with a good balance between traditional pub grub and more adventurous dishes. The ‘early bird’ menu (5.00 – 6.30 pm) is particularly good value. Consistently excellent!

Was treated to a meal here by friends for husbands 50th birthday. Food was tasty and served promptly. Service was excellent and friendly. The restaurant is upstairs so don’t know if it was disable friendly

What a little gem this place is. Really nice, modern restaurant, with a few nods to Belfast history, with the Titanic themed pictures etc.

I returned here with a friend after having a very good meal last year after our annual golf outing at Mahee Island. It was around 8.30pm and not particularly busy but pleasant atmosphere. Prompt and pleasant service and drinks orders taken almost immediately. We both went for the Crispy Oriental Chicken which was excellent. Will definitely return a bit sooner n3xt time and try their early bird two courses for £13.50.

We were in the area and wanted lunch and the menu appealed. We hadnt booked, but were made welcome and offered the choice of any table. We had one course only, mains, both of which were very tasty and substantial. The food is not cheap, but we felt the meal worth it and would return. The chairs are comfortable and there is a nice ambience in the bistro. The service was good.

As you see my headline was good but no organisation this is because when I got there it was quiet but when it got busy the waitresses where not allocated areas so I had difficulty in understanding who was looking after our table that is a minor point but little things like that make it excellent rather than good but in a super positive note the food was really nice but giving a menu of a set price then charging for sides is wrong the manager or supervisor did not even leave the bar area as the tv was on and we had to ask 2 times for the desert menu which was a shock as it was gorgeous when it arrived but I would go again as the decor was modern but not overstated well done

Great atmosphere and even though the restaurant was packed the food was served promptly. 17 people at our table and a real mix of food and everyone said the food was excellent and there was not one complaint all night. The staff were first class, very friendly and very very helpful. Would highly recommend it from a small family party to a large party like ours.

Came here for a Christmas night out with extended family and friends. I had vegetable soup for starter which was nice but a wee bit cold. I then had veggie lasagna for main which was unreal!! The nicest veggie meal I think I’ve ever had. It’s just a shame about the starter as the dessert was lovely too. Would definitely recommend and would definitely be back, perhaps with a different starter choice.

Had lunch here yesterday with some girlfriends. We were particularly impressed by the service. The fishcake starter was tasty and ample. I don't go there enough. Will visit more in future.

Nicky Caughey and his staff put on another fabulous night. It was for the 50th anniversary of the TT and North Down house. It started off with a champagne reception followed by a 5 course meal which was of 5* quality. There was a magician, Alex Kazaan, who came round each table - amazing. None of us could work out how he did his incredible tricks (illusions). totally mystifying - brilliant. That was followed by John Lynas singing, playing guitar with backing tracks. He was fantastic too with his lovely velvety voice. Played a brilliant range of music. Great to dance to. Congratulations TT.

My friend had suggested here for a catch up and dinner, wouldn't have been somewhere I would have thought of going, but really glad I did!! nice atmosphere, busy and good service, had a steak sandwich which was delicious and mint aero cheesecake, average prices, early bird mon- thurs 5pm -6.30pm which is great value look forward to my next visit and will recommend.

Lip smacking good could have licked the plate clean! Had the baked salmon with chilli butter, I chose to share dessert was panna cotta and shortbread divine, I will not be sharing the next time I want it all. Cosy atmosphere, super staff and service to match.

Another fantastic afternoon sampling more of the wide variety of gins available at the TT Bistro. A group of 14 totally engaged in tasting, listening, learning and having the best craic with each other and with Nicky - our gin leader!!! Just brilliant! The banter continued upstairs where we thoroughly enjoyed the Early Bird menu! Again great food, great service and great fun!There is no better way to spend a Saturday!!

Had a fantastic afternoon gin tasting, great info on the gin and mixers to give us the perfect serve! And the Amuse Bouche menu went down a treat!This is a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon with friends, it would be great for hen nights. Would definitely do this again.

Been several times as the food is so tasty.They don't scrap on portion size and every meal we've had has been great.Staff are friendly and efficient. The early bird menu from 5-6.30 pm is value for money.

The goats cheese and butternut squash risotto was lovely but I wouldn't have again as a starter as too filling. Hubble had oriental chicken which he enjoyed. For mains I had chicken goujons - batter lovely and light and crispy. Peppercorn sauce was lovely, looked like I didn't receive a lot of chips but I did struggle to eat everything and ended up leaving a goujon. The other main was beef and bird which he enjoyed. Would definitely recommend and return. Early bird menu is Very good value.

Been here a few times now and whilst I would not give it a 5/5 it certainly scores a repeated 4/5. Good quality food for ok prices depending on your budget. Loved that the lass was being uber helpful in helping me convince my cousin that Rekorderlig is nicer than Kopparberg and she actually put real strawberries and lime into our drinks lol

We booked at the last minute and were happy to be found a table for five. The burgers were excellent and the portions too generous to allow for the space for pudding. The slow cooked pork belly was reported to be fabulous. Alas, the request for duck breast cooked rare, was not met. However there was no quibble about taking this off the bill and the manager was very helpful and did his best to compensate for the issues.

Great as usual. Can't fault food or the service. Nothing was any bother and we all had a great meal.

Very pleasantly surprised by our visit here. Everything was perfect. Very nicely decorated, spotless toilets and attentive service. Excellent value Early Bird menu. The server really listened to us when we asked for one of the dishes to be very well done and checked that it was to our satisfaction. It was spot on! Definitely be back!

The food was delicious and the staff excellent. I had a Roast Dinner and it just melted in my mouth.

My son, Ryan, had just achieved a 2/1 degree in computer studies so we booked the TT for a celebratory meal. It was excellent. Staff were very accommodating but I found it strange that a restaurant based in Comber did not serve new season Comber potatoes. Perhaps this could be rectified next year, even if it means paying a little more. Will definitely go back though, even without the Comber spuds!

Called in on Friday night with friends for my wife's birthday and as always the craic was great! And noticed that there are a few new items on the menu so decided to be brave and had the 'TT cordon bleu' stack. And have say it was lovely. A nice new addition to the menu. Well done and it great to see them trying new things rather than stick to the old favourites like some places!! Well worth a visit

We regularly eat in this fantastic restaurant! The food is second to none, the menu is varied, something to suit everyone. The service is excellent all the staff are very attentive. Nicky and Jordan are brilliant always friendly, welcoming and very professional. We love coming here as a family and are never disappointed!!

Its happened again. Food/staff/surroundings all spot on.If you make a visit try the Parfait......main reason I went back.Yes it was top notch.Plus the early bird deal leaves you with cash to spare for the wine!

08 June 17 went to the TT for the early bird menu with my wife and as usual we were not disappointed, the food was first class and thanks to Jordan and staff we had the best of service as they were very attentive as usual. Well done Nicky for selecting such a great staff.

My husband, brother and sister-in-law and myself called in to the TT Bistro for a meal after a very long day in Belfast. I must say that we were pleasantly surprised. Nicky and his staff were excellent. Amazing scampi, and coming from a village where prawns are readily available, I would say that this meal was one of the tastiest I have had in a long time .We all agreed and left clean plates. We were fortunate to be early enough for the early bird menu, which was excellent value. Will most certainly recommend this to our friends and family. Thank you Nicky and Co a great establishment.

Visited the Tourist Trophy Bistro last night in a party of seven and we can't say enough about both the food and the service. Jordan and his associates looked after us attentively throughout the entire evening, glasses always kept filled, and as for the food......simply perfect! I had the sea bass (which I tend to look for on any menu) and I've honestly never had better. The fish was cooked to perfection and it's accompaniments were just superb. Our compliments to the hard working kitchen staff!Keep up the great work guys, we'll be back........!!
