The food was much to be desired. We went on 12th October 2024 for some fish and chips however the battered fish and battered fish tasted very burnt / very greasy. The sausage was nice and so was the fish cake. The chips were average. The service was okay but credit card machine was broken and had to do bank transfers which linked to a personal account rather than a business account which is questionable. Probably won’t use this place again.

Fantastic chips. Crispy and fluffy. Great service and the large portion of chips are very large and ideal for 2 people.

Unable to rate as was Closed, not updated on the Internet. Wanted to try maybe another time when visiting.

Only average fish and chips. Batter was a bit soggy and the fish was a bit dry. Chips were OK.

Beefburger was terrible: cold, dry bun, overcooked beef, no salad or dressing in burger. Chips cold with cold cheese on top was dreadful. Fish was tasteless. They really have no idea how to cook.

Had fish and chips here, seating area was really messy with rubbish around. Paper and food bits on floor

The food is lovely and so are the staff!! Proper chip shop chips which are the best!

Generous portion of freshly cooked and delicious fish and chips.

I would advise you to avoid this place. Waited 20 mins for disappointment. Chips are grim, fish is bland and doesn't look healthy and to top it off they missed 2 things off my order (chips and curry sauce). I can't really bring myself to eat the fish so think I'll pop somewhere else to fill the void that this place left.

Popped in last weekend 21st July as it was our local chippy. No complaints at all, very nice indeed and highly recommend this place

Ordered sausage (only jumbo size available) and chips. Had to wait while being cooked, but I would rather that than food that's been kept warm for hours.

Until last year this was the best chippy but on return today we won't be going back. As we parked our motorbikes an old guy walked over and said to go to the fish and chip shop in town, they are far superior than here, wish we had listened! 35 minutes wait for 2 cod and large chips, no card machine only bank transfer.... The chips were anaemic, the cod tasted like water! Completely flavourless and grease....both pieces of cod were swimming in it. Not sure what happened but sadly we won't be returning.

A lovely family run chippy. The food is great and the service is good, the price isn't too bad either.

Fish was extremely oily and fatty. Extremely. Chips meh. Virtually no salt and vinegar and poor payment options. Staff were friendly enough though but food isn't great.

Lovely fish & chip shop, went for some chips after a walk on the beach, walked out the shop & my chips flew out my hand, they were lovely enough to cook me some fresh ones! Many people wouldn’t have bothered, nice to see good people are still out there! Definitely recommend 🥰

This is the first time I used this fish and chip shop and myself & daughter had Cod Bites and chips and they were delicious 😋. The chips & Cod Bites were lovely including the batter on the Cod Bites and I can say I will be coming back again soon. Definitely Recommend to anyone 👌.

So disappointed with our fish and chips. Only good point was that the chips are actually made from fresh potatoes. Otherwise both fish and chips were overcooked and were pretty tasteless. It all tasted re- fried with thick brown oil coating the chips and soaked into the batter.

Even though I was the only person to be served. I was shocked once home to find grease all over my hands from the sealed fish and chip boxes. The liguid grease was all over the cod and chips, that over powered the meals The batter on the base was uncooked.." So disappointed," Weve had an amazing holiday in Heasham and the thought of taking the food back would have spoilt the ambiance of the holiday. All food were placed in the bin. We travel all over the UK and this is my first complaint

Unfortunately the worst sausage and chips I have had in a long while.Chips were soggy with black marks on them ,sausage tasted dry and old.Had a long wait so thought it was going to be cooked fresh ,but they were awfull, they even forgot to put the salt and vinegar on them like I asked. over priced too.

Amazing Chippy, quite possibly the best in Heacham! Great value for money, I actually got 2 spam fritters, though I'm amazed they didn't do 1! Whole meal was not greasy, which was nice, and the spam was coated in a nice crispy batter, and the whole meal seemed like it came straight out of the fryer! All in all, 5 stars. You deserve it! (Also, we had a friendly pigeon wandering around waiting for us to drop scraps haha)

Stopped off here after a family day out at Heacham and Hunstanton, service and food was absolutely fantastic, very friendly atmosphere and the whole family agreed that it was the best chippy we have ever had. Totally recommend to anyone visiting Heacham beach.

Very nice, large portions and good service

I visited today and had plaice and chips. My husband was eating later so said he didn’t want any but when mine came out and he saw it he decided to be kind and help me out! I can honestly say it was one of the best pieces of plaice I have ever had and the chips were lovely too. The staff were friendly and there was a large bowl of water for the dogs by the outside seating too. I can’t fault it and definitely intend to visit again.

Food was fine, expensive however for what it is.

Stopped for fish and chip brunch on the way back from Hunstanton. £11.70 for large chips and standard Cod - they have just one size of fish. Sadly the fish was just too greasy and quite tastless, the chips were fairly average but the grease from the fish transferred to the chips affecting them negatively also. Service was okay. The business had no card machine but there is the option of bank transfer which is a bit more hassle from a customer perspective but easier than nipping to an atm I guess!!

Truly the worst takeaway fish and chips I have ever had. Fishcake like breaded carpet underlay, completely tasteless, chips all small end pieces, some burnt brown. Only eatable item was the battered cod, light batter and a decent size. Won't be returning.

Went there for the Mildenhall v Heacham game today..Nice walk along the beach pre game then popped in for fish n chips with some other fans Lovely ....bit of a wait but it meant the food was cooked fresh fantastic fish good chips good portions!! Curry sauce n mushy peas looked good A solid 8.5 from all of us Will go back again if up there And we won 5 0!!!

Greasier than my Grandpas brylcreem hair do. Paying that price and having to be charged extra for Tomato Sauce sachets. 😂 Rip

Me and my friend got fish and chips. Fish was okay but unfortunately most of the chips were just old. They tasted loke from previous day. I only had one fresh chip... that is very disgusting. I would never thought I will get served old chips, it's just unacceptable. I will never go back and no, I don't recommend.

Best chips we’ve had for a long time and lots of them. They tasted fabulous! The food was delicious and the price was really good.

Today on 4th Aug 2023 got my fish and chips and curry sauce and it was amazing I just can't fault it! The two ladies serving today we're so good and the food was utterly faultless!! Highly recommend it and if I could award higher points I would give it 100% on top of the points you can! Well done guys it's delicious!!!! Ps curry sauce isn't on list of food bought can it be included as its excellent xx

A great fish a d chip shop with all your favourites and options. The chips are always good here, and the fish I have had, has always been good quality and a good size. Normal wait times for a family order, all fresh cooked and prepared.

Batter overcooked on outside raw on inside, fish grey and not pleasant, chips very poor.

The most expensive and worst fish and chips I have ever had in my 67 years of living on this planet. The fish had absolutely no taste and was very chewy.

Very enjoyable meal of fish,chips and mushy peas. My wife had fish,chips and gravy. The gravy was the best tasting gravy we've had from a chippy in a very long time. We'll worth a visit. Only down side is for portion size, it may be a little expensive.

Best fish and chips EVER !!! Fresh, juicy fish that just melts in your mouth !!! The dough is crispy, you don't feel that it's made in deep fat !!!! Chips that smell and taste like fresh potato. Not rubbery, no detectable oil. In the taste you can feel the baking in fresh oil . I've eaten at many places but you beat them all!!! with its taste and quality !!!! I have a 2-hour drive to you, but I will definitely come back more than once, because it's worth it!!!!

Ordered cod and chips they had just reopened after lunch time was four o'clock server friendly only two customers waited ten plus mins walked home Opened fish and chips fish burnt and as dry as a witches t**t chips same colour as fish very dark brown threw them out batter was like old lino If I was cynical I would say it was the previous sitting left overs re heated if the fryer spent more time looking at his cooking and oiltemp instead of talking this review wouldn't have been given Portion size good just inedible In 67 years the worst I have eaten Price reasonable

No veggie mains options at tea time. Smallest chip portion I’ve ever seen, chips I did get were manky. Took 40 minutes, longer than a restaurant. Didn’t give salt & vinegar even though we asked, so basically a grim, bland, rubbish dinner, still hungry. Wouldn’t recommend, go to Flames of the West Norfolk instead.

Just spent £18.10p on two cod,carton of peas and chips. Threw most away. Batter greasy and floury and slimey. Don't know what fish was but didn't taste or look like cod. Rip off.

The most awful fish and chips we've had for a long time . Fish was brown and the batter looked like it had sat on the fish all day and then been redipped . It was very very greasy and tasted awful . Chips had black bits and eyes and were soggy . I couldn't take it back as they were closed . Never again .

Had to wait so presumed would be freshly cooked. Fish dry, greasy and overcooked. Chips burnt and certainly not fresh. Would have taken back but had gone home and too far to return. Much better around so wouldn’t bother going here again.

Very poor. Chips were limp and oily (old and cold) Battered sausage tasted burnt. Cooked to order so was hot. However, Batter was hard, not crispy just hard. Think oil could do with a change. The shop itself it poorly laid out, looks run down. Sadly can't recommend this place, the short drive to Hunstanton would be best.

Our fish & chip meal tonight was great! My husband & I were really pleased with our dinner. The chips were freshly cooked, not dry reheated ones, the fish was hot & again freshly cooked. Highly recommend this establishment!

Absolutely rank awful grey chips, which tasted as disgusting as they looked!

My young 2 year old daughter kept spewing up because the fish finger was brown meaning the fish was a brown colour and youknow how long after she ate the brown piece of fish finger she threw up!??! 1 hour which is if you think about it not that long after. Avoid everyone avoid avoid , avoid at all costs
