Freebridge Farm Brewers Fayre in King's Lynn and West Norfolk

2 stars was for staff,booked in for mother's day, the carvery was awful,roast potatoes were all mashed up looked like mash,beef red,Yorkshire pudding not cooked at bottom all doughie sweed and carrot watery,perhaps do to being busy but won't be going back sorry.

Went for mother's day, Rude service throughout they struggled to show any sort of hospitality just miserable and ignorant, No thanks yous enjoy your food or anything, Food wasn't great either all cold, forgot desserts had to remind them, Dreadful.

Enjoyed the food on the evening and breakfast, but the tables were sticky.

Very friendly and efficient staff. Well set up spacious restaurant. Great value for money food and drink with our Premier Inn Meal Deal.

Staff are always very polite and helpful. The food is always spot on, warm, fresh and on our table very quickly. Very pleasant atmosphere to be in with the Manager always going the extra mile to make sure everything was as it should. Would recommend a visit.

Food very average but service was shocking. Staff were not happy campers.

Met up with some friends for a meal and a natter. Food was good - basic pub grub but burgers were nice. Disappointing there's just one British beer in the whole pub: they put ale in a pie but not on the bar, which I think is a little weird. Otherwise pretty much like their competitors (Wetherspoons, Hungry Horse, etc) minus the beer...

Started well, walked in and got seated after booking a table. Got to the table, first thing we noticed was that the table was cramped in-between and very close to the other tables. The second thing we noticed is that the table was dirty and very sticky. Not great. Another thing was the table only has forks on the table. We then went to the bar to order the food which wasn't too bad. However had to carry 5 drinks with just one person. Didn't offer help. The food then came however only one plate came and then had to wait 7-10 minutes for the rest to come. The server had a sour face on and when we asked for knifes he stated "I don't believe we have any but give me a second." How do you not know if you have knifes or not. When the rest of the food came, most of it was cold. Again not great. After finishing our food we waited 20 minutes and the plates were still in front of us. Disgraceful. This is when we decided to just leave because the service was so bad. We spoke to the manager at the bar to cancel the desserts for the table and get a refund. She was rude and said "you can see we are fully booked". This was also said in an annoyed voice and clearly she didn't care. For a manager this was not good. Didn't even get an apology for the wait.

I’ve stayed in countless premier inns and eaten at the adjoining restaurants each time, I’ve had many bad meals, but this one wins the trophy of the worst of them all. First evening - fish and chips - horrendous, fish not cooked enough, batter resembling a soggy mess, wasn’t even served with proper chips, just skin on fries… what? No slice of lemon… I also had to ask for vinegar twice as some tables have it and some don’t? Same with salt and pepper? Great. It boggles my mind that you seat people, then tell them they have to order food at the bar… doesn’t make a great deal of sense to me but if the food and service was half decent I wouldn’t moan! When food is delivered to you they never ask if you want any sauce or condiments. They also never check on how your meal is, I realise this is because they know it’s TERRIBLE, no need to ask. Let’s move on to breakfast… everything is lack lustre and cold, many items missing… it’s astonishing how you can both undercook AND overcook an egg? How? The bacon seems to have been cooked on a radiator. Finding a clean plate and cutlery is a task in and of itself…. No water being served at breakfast, that’s a first for me, every other one I’ve been to has ice and water. Moving onto my last meal, a mixed grill, hopes were not high, how could they be? I’m 99% sure they use leftover breakfast sausages for dinner service… excellent! The steak I was given was inedible, almost broke the plate trying to cut through it, then my jaw trying to eat it. The under & overcooked eggs made another appearance! Chicken was dry and bland. The onion rings were hard inside?! How?! How do you mess up frozen onion rings?! The gammon was the only nice thing I ate here. I wouldn’t feed half of this crap to my dog. Once again not asked if I want any sauce by any member of staff. Plus a long wait for food this time. The fact this place is actually busy boggles my mind!! WHO COMES HERE BY CHOICE?! If this food wasn’t paid for by my employer, and if I’d of actually parted with my own money for this mess I would’ve got a refund and gone to the adjacent McDonald’s. The hotels okay though!! Just don’t eat here!

Myself and my 2 daughters were staying at the premier inn and decided to go to brewers fayre for dinner . My girls were excited to try the mock tails but they were nothing short of a cheap fizzy drink and were filled half way . My youngest daughter decided to have a burger which was dry flavourless and burnt . My eldest daughter had lasagne but the garlic bread was burnt to a crips and it appeared that the chef had tried to cover it up . I had bland flavourless slimy haddock which was very boring and unappetising. The only good part about the food was the breakfast . We ended up going to McDonald’s for our dessert seeing as our food was so bad. Overall I DO NOT recommend eating dinner here. Don’t waste your money and time!!!!!

A great eatery next to the dual carriageway and local Premier Inn. Stayed for a few nights and always excellent service. Special commendations to the Breakfast server Sharon who ran an exemplary service even when she was working multiple stations at once as other staff were unable to be in work. She also was able to recommend local walks when a nearby traffic accident on the dual carriageway had caused traffic on surrounding roads which added to our holiday. Always helpful and kind even when understaffed. Thank you

My friend jenny and I have been attending freebridge Farm every Sunday for the last 6 months for our Sunday roast together Jenny is blind and has limited mobility so it is difficult to find restaurants that cater for people with these types of disabilities On our first initial visit we were both welcomed by Chloe and David, who are part of the management team They were both very accommodating to Jennys needs and went above and beyond to ensure that Jenny was safe and comfortable in her environment 😉 We have now become regulars and address each other by first names like friends and look forward to our home from home trip out every Sunday We would highly recommend the Brewers to all our family and friends as the place to go if you enjoy an amazing meal at a reasonable price and an amazing atmosphere 😀 We would like to give 5 stars for everything Keep up the good work guys and Thank you for your service x

Food is ok. Menu very uninspiring....limited choice if you don't want chips with everything. Crockery needs updating. Tables sticky. A table full of cleaning products left in middle of people eating. Disappointing choice of beers...no cast ale available as it had run out.

We were a party of 6 celebrating a birthday at freebridge farm kings Lynn (21.2.2025) The service and friendliness of the staff, particularly one young lady whose name we don't know (but we were on table 19) who went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. She also took our photo for us, and brought out the birthday cake. What a charming member of staff. Our food arrived more or less as we sat down from ordering, although the restaurant was really busy, you can't get better than that. All in all thank you for a great evening.

Absolutely disgusting attitude by staff especially Tom, visited before and never had a problem but I will not be returning. The food was cold staff were no where to be seen so couldn’t complain, waited ages for a drink. If you think it’s appropriate to employ people who have such a rude behaviour and the way they approach the guests then so be it you will not have customers for much longer if it carries on.

10 deep at the bar, food cold when it arrived never again

We went on the 14th February, the restaurant was almost empty, time was 01:30pm, there is a lack of staff, when our food came out, it was a very small portion, on cold plates and the food was just warm, we did complain at the time and was told he would mention it to the chief, that was all, we have been to this restaurant several times before, unfortunately it will be our last visit.

Nightmare, waited more than 10 minutes to be sat down in a restaurant which was a fifth full. When we ordered our food we were given food which was cold, cooked not to order, medium rare steak was made rare, calamari was crumbs of batter, burnt and tastless and one of our drinks was in a cracked glass. It didn't end there the dessert was wrong. Clearly no quality control, lack of leadership and the kitchen was blasting high volume music and had to wait excessive times between meals as we were forgotten about. Worst experience on Valentines night, perhaps the duty manager will know, understand and accept that people are different and we're all paying customers who deserve the same treatment.

On arriving was met by Sharon, a very helpful and friendly member of staff. Very happy with service. Will be going again.

Always have a good experience here. The food is excellently priced and the service is always top quality. The carvery is a favourite and we've been on multiple occasions now. Would recommend for a good meal out and even on a budget too.

It says on the website it closes at 11pm, I was there Fri/Sat night and it closed around 10pm both nights as they said there wasnt enough customers to stay open, very strange, nice pub though, food was okay too.

Went to celebrate my Grandma birthday, food was great, service was timely and had an overall good time.

Food was up to scratch, Very fast service. Staff are nice and friendly, polite. Clean and tidy. If you go in evening it is advisable to book, that way I won't be disappointed. Going in day time you don't really need to book, but there's a chance you may have to wait. Pudding always go down nicely at end of your meal.

I attended a 60th birthday meal pn Friday 31st January, I cannot fault the staff,who were so friendly and professional. We were assigned a member of staff who took our orders.(there were 28 of us) With only a reasonable wait all meals came in quick sussession, hot,tasty and with a smile.nothing was to much trouble.

On entering we were told there was no Lasagne, no garlic bread, no curries and no pies. Good job we wanted something else. We used to visit often but something has changed of late.

Never going back here again. Went in last night and the food was terrible the coleslaw was rank and the lettuce in the burger was past its best. And as for the pizza it was like cardboard well over cooked and crunchy. Who ever was cooking last night deserves the sack. Absolutely shocking

We went on New years Day. We thought they might be doing roast dinners at best or the normal menu. When we arrived, we were treated with a less than enthusiastic college. We were told over half the menu were out of stock. Everyone did find something to eat but no one really enjoyed it.

This is our favourite family place to go, food is delicious, service is amazing.

I have been here a few times for food including breakfast, lunch and dinner. I would recommend this as a great price great food place

This genuinely might have been the most traumatic experience of my life.

That evening the Brewers Fayre were working on a restricted menu as their food delivery hadn’t arrived, which was not a problem for us. We ordered our food & 2 cups of tea. The gentleman taking the order was helpful. Once at our table a young waitress came & ‘plonked’ 2 mugs in our table & walked away, not saying a word. We waited for a pot of tea to be brought to us but nothing. Once our food was served I asked the waiter if we had to get our own tea & he said yes. The hot drink machine ran out of milk, 3 serving staff stood talking to each other behind the bar & I had to get their attention. The gentleman that took our order had to tell them I was waiting. By the time I got back to our table my partner had nearly eaten his food, otherwise it would’ve got cold & mine was just warm. Really bad service from the women waiting staff, which created a very bad atmosphere. We would never go again.

Considering the problem with supplies the emergency menu and food was very good.

Overnight stay at the premier inn went over for breakfast waited 5mins just to be seated, was told there was very little continental breakfast, okay don’t want that anyway, had to wait for hot food to be refilled, no bread no mugs, who on earth thought 2 staff members would be enough they were run ragged, the breakfast was free with a deal from premier inn

Had 3 course meal xmas day after 15 minutes no sign of a service yet people coming in 15 minutes after us were approach by the server's and offered there starters pulled a member of staff over this SORRY I'll get yours. finished them off. and then on to the carvery to great lads serving chatty and polite food was good finished them off placed the plates at the end of table 20 minutes later no sign of a server at which time my 88 year old disabled father said enough I'm not waiting any longer for service/dessert and we left the table next to us had the same problem as well but said they'll stick it out total waste of a time and money

Worst Christmas food ever. Christmas dinner was basic and looked like frozen food. £54 pp you get what you pay for. Service is terrible and I couldn’t wait for it to be over.

Waited ages for food, two of our party waited so long for their desert they had to ask for it . Really when you know a party of 12 is coming you should have enough staff or don't take the booking.

First time visiting this Brewers, unfortunately due to a situation out of their control they had a limited menu. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly especially David. He explained the situation about the limited menu (This was posted on December 2024). If you visit at a later date, this should hopefully been resolved! The food tasted great, quick and delicious and decently sized portions and pretty decent price. Overall, I would recommend it.

Went yesterday..13.12.24. Booked for 4 festive meals. Due to circumstances out of their control the festive menu was not on. No email or message to tell us. Pate starter was one dry slice of toast and a slice of pate. No relish. Asked for it but didnt have any. I told them it should not be on the menu then. Nothing festive at all about the table. No crackers or festive napkins. Nothing. One bar staff on. Very very disappointed.

If you are thinking of eating here, don't! Without doubt the worst vegetarian option on a carvery I have ever had! Cheap nasty piece of Quorn that was made all the worse by being overcooked to the point of being hard and inedible. How any self respecting chef would serve this is beyond me; putting this on the menu is lazy and unimaginative. We ate the vegetables from the carvery and I returned the Quorn, commenting to the staff that they should be embarrassed to serve it; the only response was 'would you like another!? To finish this disaster my mother's beef was pretty tough. There were clearly issues in the restaurant on this day, the ordinary menu was using a heavily reduced menu, but that in no way excuses the diabolical veggie option and it's terrible presentation!

Festive failure booked pre Christmas dinner for 4 adults, service shocking prawn cocktail starters 3 with bread 1 without, Christmas diner arrived 2 with peas 2 without, asked for more gravy told that is payable as an extra the whole meal service was very poor & waitresses attitude was rude when all the issues were pointed out at the time of service, won’t be rushing back here go to hunger horse up the road so much better.

Very bad experience never again

The food and service was absolutely diabolical. Staff just couldn't give a damn.

Food very good, However, nowhere near enough gravy, so I had to actually buy more, to replace what should have been on my plate in the first place, very stingy attitude bearing in mind we were a group who spent around £230, then when the chocolate profiteroles came, they should have had an oat crumble, when I asked where it was, the waitress just said, sorry we've run out. As we left we passed a very long queue at the bar waiting for the one bartender to serve them. The place is grossly understaffed. Such a pity a place that could produce very good food is being managed so poorly. Won't be returning!

Nice they pointed out that 2 for 11.99 and only had salad missing which would have been double the price. Few little bits could do with update but overall was good.

Great lunch today at Kings Lynn Brewers. Mix of Christmas menu and main menu. Great food, great service from Tom. Group of 11., 3 X GF- good selection of food and good allergen knowledge. Will return, good value for money!

Went for lunch we had the chilli chips between us and a burger each and I must admit it was lovely and we will definitely be going back. The carvery is absolutely lovely it was just a shame when we went for lunch that the spuds were a bit of a mess lol 😆

Could do better! Tasteless breakfast.

We chose Brewers Fayre on a whim for our wedding reception. Chloe and her team were amazing from the get go and nothing was too much for them. Not only was the price great for the reception food but the staff did everything they could to ensure we had a great time and we really did. The team decorated the event space for us right down to the finest detail and even made some suggestions to make it even better such as having a balloon arch which a member of staff offered to put together for us. We are so grateful for the team, we had the best time and have been praising them to everyone. Everything was so seamless, the food was always topped up, the staff were so friendly and accommodating and we can’t thank them enough for being a part of our special day. 🖤

Breakfast first day not as expected. Last visit was a ten. No butter. Dinner my husband likes a jack Daniels not available. No bourbon available. Have to score a 3 for lack of choice. However overall would recommend x

01-11-2024 | Where do I even start, if I could give a minus 5 stars I would, I've had some poor experiences in my life but this tops it. Family of four & was sat on a single square table in the corner with numerous tables sat empty with dirty plates. Order starters that turned up pretty sharp but my god, I'm sure they have better food in a labour camp, sticky BBQ chicken wings were still clucking when they came out. Asked for cutlery & told it was over in the corner. Haven't even made it to mains yet.... hold that thought, mains just turned up with starter plates still hanging around & wait, no more cutlery. Atleast they're not short on the beer front to mask the disorganised & diabolical experience. P.S Don't get the Mixed Chard'Grill... 'it's not burnt its chargrilled" Cheers to character building.

Staff were lovely, but the food left a lot to be desired! Small portions and salad had been prepped far too early. I also got the wrong meal, and 3 out of 4 of us had items missing. It was busy when we visited so maybe short staffed in the kitchen. Wouldn't return in a hurry.

The food was inedible, and I sent it back, uneaten. They did refund what I'd paid.

On this occasion there was an issue with the carvery but the manager sorted it swiftly without fuss.

Disappointing, had a code for the offer of free kids 3 course meal. 1 free kids meal per adult full price main meal. We would normally have the 2 for 1 offer, so expected the full price meal to be much better than it actually was. Not very big portions, chicken tikka was more like a soup with a few bits of chicken in it. Beef pie was overcooked, potatoes were awful and the peas were hard. Then to cap it all, the kids ate very little of their meals. So definitely not a worthwhile offer. Kids starter of tortilla chips was oddly served with a yoghurt mint dip with a piece of cucumber in it. Hot drinks machine ran out of milk and there were no clean spoons. Hardly any customers.

Whenever we come to Norfolk we always stay at Premier inn and eat and drink in freebridge farm all staff are very nice helpfully and accommodating couldn't get better service

Tom was super helpful with vouchers that we had to use. Kelly was great at her job & made us feel really welcome. Would definitely return

Very busy. Pleased had booked for Sunday lunch. Pity no table service snd have to order drinks and food at bar and then carry glasses to get first drink and then double back to get carverey. Vege selection great..Evan daphonious Potatoes. Meat well cooked and very tasty. However meat served onto plates markedly varied..in size/ presentation And slices to chunks and bits. Noises with lots of children but good value for full Sunday roast.

I cannot praise this place enough, the staff are helpful, friendly and professional, nothing is too much for them. They will try to ensure you have a table that suites your requirements, they put your order through very quickly, I love the refill service, the food was amazing, the carvery we all had, 5 people and it was lovely. The meat cooked beautiful. All the staff were working hard, cleaning tables, allocating people, etc. I love the voucher offers, I ordered 5 carvery’s and it only cost me £40! Superb value! Very grateful for the help I got to my card too as I was struggling. I have to say you guys go above and beyond to help your customers. I will be back.

Went with our children grandchildren and great drandaughter for carvery service and food was brilliant.

Tom behind the bar was absolutely brilliant and made the charity raffle great fun for my kids. Even let her pick which teddy she wanted – fun afternoon out and topped off by Tom’s excellent service!

So I don’t even know where to start Yesterday 27/09/2024 we travel from London to visit my brother and mum with my Husbad to celebrate he’s birthday so we decide to came to have same food and drinks We did order our food the waiter bring same pepper corn sauce and spill all over my dress we did ask to call the manager she only show up after 15 minutes not offering any help or asking if we are ok hot sauce ????? No first aids But as is my Husbad birthday I did not want to make big fas about me Then the food arrived cold , undercook , food came on different time I work as a chef and let me tell you I had bad food in the past but this was just the worst experience I ever had in my life . Manager did not care about our needs Talking bag to as customer service the worst I ever seen Bad bad bad bad never again would spend any money on this place

Clean and family friendly pub/restaurant. Loved the Sunday Carvery

We called on the way home from holiday last month and were seated in the family concervatory . It was busy and noisy and my grandson didn't like the lould noises. We were quickly found a table in a quieter area of the restaurant. Food was cooked well and the childrens meals were brought out with the adult meals.as requested Staff were excellent but I have to say that Libby and Cain were absolutely brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble. They spoke to the children and listened when they asked for their deserts to be slightly different from the menu. Little things like bringing extra napkins and no ice in the drinks. What an asset to the restaurant they are. Thank you Libby and Cain for your thoughtfulness.

I recently visited Brewers Fayre and had a great experience overall. The sausage and mash was absolutely delicious – real comfort food! Every member of staff was polite and friendly, which made the visit even more enjoyable. However, I did notice an unusual amount of flies in the restaurant, which was a bit off-putting. That said, the staff's friendliness and the quality of the food still made it a pleasant visit, and I’ll definitely consider returning.

Turned up without booking on a Wednesday teatime. Asked if availability, and told couldn't accommodate a large group as they had another group booked in ten mins. Very disappointing, went another ten mins drive to diner who had absolutely no issues with number and they had open kitchen with 2 chef.
