Freebridge Farm Brewers Fayre in King's Lynn and West Norfolk

The food was inedible, and I sent it back, uneaten. They did refund what I'd paid.

On this occasion there was an issue with the carvery but the manager sorted it swiftly without fuss.

Disappointing, had a code for the offer of free kids 3 course meal. 1 free kids meal per adult full price main meal. We would normally have the 2 for 1 offer, so expected the full price meal to be much better than it actually was. Not very big portions, chicken tikka was more like a soup with a few bits of chicken in it. Beef pie was overcooked, potatoes were awful and the peas were hard. Then to cap it all, the kids ate very little of their meals. So definitely not a worthwhile offer. Kids starter of tortilla chips was oddly served with a yoghurt mint dip with a piece of cucumber in it. Hot drinks machine ran out of milk and there were no clean spoons. Hardly any customers.

Tom was super helpful with vouchers that we had to use. Kelly was great at her job & made us feel really welcome. Would definitely return

Whenever we come to Norfolk we always stay at Premier inn and eat and drink in freebridge farm all staff are very nice helpfully and accommodating couldn't get better service

Very busy. Pleased had booked for Sunday lunch. Pity no table service snd have to order drinks and food at bar and then carry glasses to get first drink and then double back to get carverey. Vege selection great..Evan daphonious Potatoes. Meat well cooked and very tasty. However meat served onto plates markedly varied..in size/ presentation And slices to chunks and bits. Noises with lots of children but good value for full Sunday roast.

Called in mid-day . Service very quick and obliging. Good value.

I cannot praise this place enough, the staff are helpful, friendly and professional, nothing is too much for them. They will try to ensure you have a table that suites your requirements, they put your order through very quickly, I love the refill service, the food was amazing, the carvery we all had, 5 people and it was lovely. The meat cooked beautiful. All the staff were working hard, cleaning tables, allocating people, etc. I love the voucher offers, I ordered 5 carvery’s and it only cost me £40! Superb value! Very grateful for the help I got to my card too as I was struggling. I have to say you guys go above and beyond to help your customers. I will be back.

Tom behind the bar was absolutely brilliant and made the charity raffle great fun for my kids. Even let her pick which teddy she wanted – fun afternoon out and topped off by Tom’s excellent service!

Went with our children grandchildren and great drandaughter for carvery service and food was brilliant.

So I don’t even know where to start Yesterday 27/09/2024 we travel from London to visit my brother and mum with my Husbad to celebrate he’s birthday so we decide to came to have same food and drinks We did order our food the waiter bring same pepper corn sauce and spill all over my dress we did ask to call the manager she only show up after 15 minutes not offering any help or asking if we are ok hot sauce ????? No first aids But as is my Husbad birthday I did not want to make big fas about me Then the food arrived cold , undercook , food came on different time I work as a chef and let me tell you I had bad food in the past but this was just the worst experience I ever had in my life . Manager did not care about our needs Talking bag to as customer service the worst I ever seen Bad bad bad bad never again would spend any money on this place

I recently visited Brewers Fayre and had a great experience overall. The sausage and mash was absolutely delicious – real comfort food! Every member of staff was polite and friendly, which made the visit even more enjoyable. However, I did notice an unusual amount of flies in the restaurant, which was a bit off-putting. That said, the staff's friendliness and the quality of the food still made it a pleasant visit, and I’ll definitely consider returning.

We called on the way home from holiday last month and were seated in the family concervatory . It was busy and noisy and my grandson didn't like the lould noises. We were quickly found a table in a quieter area of the restaurant. Food was cooked well and the childrens meals were brought out with the adult meals.as requested Staff were excellent but I have to say that Libby and Cain were absolutely brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble. They spoke to the children and listened when they asked for their deserts to be slightly different from the menu. Little things like bringing extra napkins and no ice in the drinks. What an asset to the restaurant they are. Thank you Libby and Cain for your thoughtfulness.

Turned up without booking on a Wednesday teatime. Asked if availability, and told couldn't accommodate a large group as they had another group booked in ten mins. Very disappointing, went another ten mins drive to diner who had absolutely no issues with number and they had open kitchen with 2 chef.

We arrived just before 5pm, had 2 tiny pieces of beef from carvery, the rest of the veg was burnt, so hard when I tried to cut my yourshire pud shot off my plate, could not get my knife in the stuffing ball's. Not good value for money

Busy place, lots of variety on the menu but quick and cheap food..... not great quality. However - you get what you pay for, the prices are cheap and it is convenient for families, with a large play area on site.

As soon as me and my family walked in we was welcome and felt they was happy we was there Sarah who was in the soft play bit at the time was amazing ,she make us feel so welcome and got everything we needed! The service we received from her make our dinner a really good one Even through they was short stuffed on the day we visited When sarah left or was on a break Kane( Cain) took over service He was also amazing and make us feel so welcomed Both Sarah and kane make us have the best experience eating out with two young children Now the food omg the chef make it perfect We been to other brewers fayre and my children wouldn't eat the food as it was burnt but this place food wasn't burnt and was great and both my children had all their food Now me and my partner I had the steak burger and he had the steak both cook the way we liked it and we enjoyed it so much If we ever put down this way for hoilday we will be back

Gammon was burnt, not a lot of food for the price. Apple and blackberry crumble was cold.

Top service and great atmosphere but the all you can eat breakfast not as good as we are used to having tried quite a few Brewers Fayres. Everything was overly greasy and laid out in a slightly less flattering manner such as bacon on a casserole pot rather than laid out meaning unless you get the top one it will be covered in grease. Eggs were also swimming in oil, a little more care would have seen less. The continental selection and drinks were fine. Family friendly place and always worth booking in advance to guarantee a table when you want it as these are very popular especially on weekends.

Ordered our dinners.. In not even 5 minutes it was at our table. Chips were cold peas where like stones, lasagna was microwaved to the heat of the sun and steak like an old boot. Crap food from Iceland is better. Food pieces all over the floor and under tables. Staff just sitting around. Overall quite a disgusting experience and won't be going again.

Food was up to scratch, Very fast service. Staff are nice and friendly, polite. Clean and tidy. If you go in evening it is advisable to book, that way I won't be disappointed. Going in day time you don't really need to book, but there's a chance you may have to wait. Pudding always go down nicely at end of your meal.

I had excellent experience before, until I treated poorly rudely and refused to move table by a member of staff with no uniform or ID very sensitive to criticism. General staff very kind and polite but you just need one individual to make your experience dreadful.

Clean, well staffed and organised. Food is decent and good value for money. The staff are accommodating and this restaurant seems to be well managed which makes for a reliable stay.

Curry just everywhere around the bowl / plate 2 orders sent back, Second attempt one curry was like water the other like rock at this point we just ate them, Deserts then came out completely wrong again just ate them as dared take the risk of what would come next Gone downhill massively, Wouldn’t go again

Over cooked food eggs must have been fried by Stevie Wonder and service was terrible, it will be a very long time before we return to this place for breakfast. It is getting worse Not Happy at all. Waste of money for four people. This was Sunday 11th August at 10am.

Stopped on the way to our holiday. Immediately the toilets were disgusting. Food was bland and not very hot when served. Table sticky and grubby. Flies around table. Very expensive stop for a quick lunch. I wanted to leave when the food was served but my other half just wanted to feed the kids so we could get back in the car.

Lack of outside space for children.

I eat here often for breakfast, I have to eat gluten free and the food is cooked to order for me, it's excellent, well done Brewers Fayre. It's a great place to take your children for breakfast, they are free.

Pleasantly surprised with the food here last night, steak was good, service was also good, everyone really enjoyed their food, it was really busy but the wait wasn’t too long.

We ordered of a deal menu that meant we had to order my 6pm we started our order at about 5.55pm and by 6:12pm the lady was still taking the order as her till apparently didn’t have the Thai green curry on it. They then tried to tell us we couldn’t have the order as it passed 6pm, after arguing it and the lady getting a manager he agreed to do it and override the till. The waitresses just kept moaning how she had been there since 5am and then started to eat crisps whilst serving customers, then she went and sat at a table chatting and having a drink with her friend, then getting up to serve when she eventually realised customers were waiting. The kids pasta came burnt, so burnt that the food was in one clump it was stuck together as one big piece (as in the whole bowl of pasta was together hanging off the fork) Starters came out after the mains! Not just for us but the table next to us had the same issue. Staff were rude, we arrived at 6pm and paid to use the soft play area and got asked to leave this area at 7pm as apparently this section closes despite the fact we hadn’t finished eating. We had to move to a table outside. The lady told us the open hours are on the door… they aren’t they are on a tiny poster and the bottom of the window which is next to the door and basically hidden by kids toy machines. We queued at one till for puddings to be told we need to join another queue around the other side of the bar only to be called back to the original till to place our order. The bar lady quite literally screamed at us from across the bar, I was so embarrassed as everyone turned and looked. This was one of the worst experiences I have ever had in a restaurant.

Our server lisa was cheerful, helpful and was very efficient. We will be back.

Food was served fast and my steak was cooked exactly how I asked for it. My chips were a little over cooked but overall a pleasant experience.

Meals are very good value. Staff are excellent and go that extra mile to help you. I am disabled and my husband has Alzheimer's so both unsteady on our feet. Very friendly staff especially Chloe. Well done to them all.

I like this place, but it can be hit and miss. Been 4 times within the last 6 months. Mostly good food but sometimes it not up to scratch. I had a club Sandwich and it was cold as was my wife's chicken thingy. Will keep percifering tho as its fairly cheep..... also book a table online b4 you get there for reasonable discounts.

With a lack of family friendly pubs that are open on a Sunday day evening on our route home we opted for the Freebridge Farm Brewers Fayre. We had a good idea of the sort of food to expect (thus knowing we would be OK for the fussy kids!) and it was a very short detour off the main road to get to (although initially turning in to the McDonald area before realising there is another road!) We got a table fairly easily and whilst there were people there, it wasn't overly busy. We ordered reasonably quickly (take your table number and order at bar), I opted for the smothered platter (photo attached - but only after I had already started eating it!!) Food was OK, and kids didn't seem to have any problems munching through it all. We did have some bbq chicken wings as extras, but they were simply chicken wings presented with some bbq sauce... Service was reasonable, did have to chase up some sauce that we had ordered extra, but we got there eventually. Kids asked for their ice creams as they started to get a bit tired and one of the ladies kindly went and got them for them straight away. We thought it was OK for what we wanted / needed - wouldn't hesitate to pop back again if we were looking for somewhere near here.

Wouldn’t waste time visiting - online booking said tables were free for any time and that soft play was open until 7. When we arrived people were being told that there weren’t any tables free (despite the restaurant being empty bar about five tables), and no more children were allowed into soft play despite it only being 5pm.

Usual fayre. Decent place. Food is OK. Can get very busy though so make sure to book. Breakfast is OK as well.

A good pit stop on journeys along the A47 or A17. Typical pub food but perfectly acceptable.

Really varied menu and food and staff friendly and helpful

They offer a two mains deal so two lots of fish and chips it is and for £11.99 The portions were generous, and the fish was crispy and could have been cooked a tiny bit longer but still cooked well. While the taste was fairly standard, the value for money is unbeatable. For a quick, satisfying meal, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better option at this price and there is a few choices other than fish and chips !

Serve yourself breakfast, not bad at all

There was gum under the table, we left because we waited around 10 minutes just for pancakes and a brownie. Plus, the brownies and pancakes were as small as a ball pit ball as we saw from somebody who ordered them and waited for 18 minutes l.

Well we made the mistake of using the premier inn £26 offer for dinner and breakfast at brewers fayre King's Lynn. We try brewers fayre every couple of years thinking it must have improved and then we get proved wrong again. From the moment we were ignored waiting for table along with other couple to the fact on a Friday night only 2 tills working on the whole bar. To my nachos arriving with what looks like cottage cheese on top rather than sour cream to be told that's normal for here. My steak had cold chips along with my son's chicken popper's arrived cold too. They took them back brought my steak back with fresh chips but cold steak that had gone to well done from medium. Staff did change my dinner to different but really not good experience at all. Sorry but won't be rushing back and will just pay for breakfast only if premier inn attached to brewers fayre. Whole place needs refurbishment too tables sticky. Everywhere needs painting too.

Very busy, one hour wait for food.

Came for a Sunday carvery at 15:45 (website states they are serving til 6) but no food left for a carvery should be made aware before and didn’t want the main menu. Tables were dirty as were the menus. Table in the middle of surrounding tables where people are eating had boxes of sauces and cutlery someone was wrapping them it looked like. Ended up leaving which is really disappointing as normally the carvery is really nice which is why we booked there. Heads up if you are looking to book for one, book in early so you avoid being disappointed

Had the haddock and chips from the main menu and it was really nice. The batter was crispy and the haddock was as good as a fish and chip shop. Above all it was HOT and had not been left standing.

Although we booked a table we were left standing at the entrance. After a few minutes a lady at the bar shouted over to go through and pick an empty table. We waited 35 minutes for our meal, after querying a waitress it arrived minutes after. I had smothered chicken, this was just warm, with no bbq sauce. My wife’s was also very disappointed, hers was cold, the chicken goujons were so overcooked she had difficulty cutting them, it just seemed everything had sat there waiting in the kitchen. I noticed two separate customs having issues. One gentleman was waiting for his meal whilst his companion had finished hers. The other couple had their dessert brought out before their main. This restaurant has gone ‘downhill’ over the past few years!

We went for the Sunday Carvery today it was lovely We had booked a table for 12.30 but got there early and they sit showed us to our table and got a lovely meal

Went here for my partners birthday and our waitress Lisa was very helpful and amazing, she even brought out the cake and lit the sparklers! Thank you so much Lisa and the food was really nice and my partners stake was cooked to perfection

The lady who seat's you was very lovely we had not booked a table called in on the off chance and she found us a table so we could have the carvery. The carvery was very nice little bit mine on the meat veg could have been a little bit warmer but still very tasty. Will be going back again.

The worst breakfast I've ever had. Edge of the plate as shown in the photo was already greasy like that before adding to the plate, noticed immediately that it wasn't clean but didn't see until back to the table what it looked like. Knives and forks on the tables had greasy marks on them as did the clean coffee cups. The coffee machines were both a pain too with one spraying over the edge of the cup however it was positioned, the other machine kept serving half cups, took 3 attempts to have a full cup of coffee. The worst points were the egg shown that wasn't even cooked properly, still had uncooked egg white on it which lead to my fiance barely eating her breakfast and the milk out for customers was still in date but had already gone off. First time in years of visiting the Brewers Fayre and very disappointed indeed considering the choice there is around King's Lynn. Unlikely we'll ever return. The first all you can eat I've ever had where I didn't wish to go back for more. I don't like to leave bad reviews but this certainly warrants it.

This is an amended review from 2 yrars ago, last time i gave it 1 star. Having now been back here twice in a month (for work) I can honestly say..... what a turn around! The step up manager needs all the credit in the world. Foods 100% better service is great. It's back to what a brewers fayre should / used to be! Yes there is refurbished work going on to the hotel next door but don't let this put you off, ample parking. A good solid 4 stars and someone who was orignally dreading returning here is now able to say, I wouldn't hesitate to come back! Well done and thankyou!

Good food and brilliant service however beverages well overpriced (appreciate they are 'never ending' but how much tea or coffee can you drink).

This is our Friday evening regular haunt.....Always great service & food. Tonight I had the house salad with rump steak & grated cheese & my partner had beef & ale pie with chips peas & gravy which he thouroughly enjoyed. Look forward to seeing Chloe & the gang again next week.

Excellent as always. Lovely lady on today. Helped us by bringing drinks to table as I broken my foot. 10/10.

Children burger dry and Bland awful tasting

Went for breakfast, I have to say, it was very nice 👌 fresh and tasty, not sure about the scrambled egg, It seemed a bit under cooked and anaemic. I've had lunch here before and it's not as nice, nore is it value for money. I wouldn't say it was cheap, but it was all you could eat, so 🤷.

The young man who showed us to our table didnt seem to be in a hurry to show people to there tables as there were quite a few people waiting to be sitted. My husband overheard one of the other members of staff tell him that people were waiting to be seated and which he turned around and said they can wait. I wasnt sure if he was the manager, but this is very unprofessional. Apart from that, place is lovely and clean and the lady who served us was very nice. Food is ok.

Well on route to our holiday , we stopped off for some lunch. Now having been to many brewers fayre we know what the food and service should be like. We arrived at 12 and it was quite, we order 2 starters that came out all ok , but then waited for 40mins till my husband asked if we can get our mains as no one checked on us . When it came my chicken club sandwich was rock hard and runny snotty egg when I asked for it to be flipped. My daughters pasta was cold . No one came to check on us again and we had to get back on the road . So all in all not a great review for this place , staff just deemed not botherd and no customer service skills. Wasted 32.00 quid macy ds would have been better this time around .

Chloe was fantastic and couldn’t do enough to assist us. Lovely meal. Will go again
