Our waiter, Will, was absolutely amazing! The service was superb and was the definition of above and beyond! The food was delicious, the filet mignon with au poivre was my husband and I’s favorite. If possible I’d give it 100/10! We will definitely be back!

My friend & I came here for lunch and had the best time! She said it was her second time, this was my first. We loved how no one was here and even though it was overcast, the view was still beautiful! Our server was great and so was our food! We started with the calamari and got the squid in pasta and steak, so good! Their cocktails are so cute, must try!!!

worst customer service. I went last year for my brothers birthday and at the end we tipped really good and got up and left. They chased us out and made us tip $100 dollars extra, mind you we were only a table of 5 and didn’t order much. I have never been chased down for tipping and always tip 20%. But they made us tip more than what was needed. I honestly feel like I got scammed.

Hadn't been to this place in years before last night for a retirement dinner. Updates to the decor and menu were nice. For the appetizers, really enjoyed the Brussel sprouts, crab cake and calamari. I had the short rib for dinner which was tasty. Other people in the group had ribeyes and filets which admittedly got mixed reviews for the temperature accuracy. Couple of drink orders from the bar also took a bit to get there. That said, food was miles better than I remembered and the view remains one of the best in the city. While I miss the option of self parking ($11 mandatory valet with about a .36 cent surcharge if you use a credit card) the valet was efficient.

Unfortunately on my most recent visit, which included taking some clients, the food was not up to par. My steak was overcooked, I could tell by the look on my clients faces. Their steaks were also not cooked properly. The sides were amazing, mashed potatoes, and Cauliflower. Our lava cakes had no lava and were extremely dry. The waitress was amazing. So gracious. So professional. When you’re with clients it’s hard to complain so there was really nothing. I could do about it except look at the disappointment on their faces. Knowing they had asked for me to take them somewhere else.

First time here and it is a beautiful place .

The wedding turned out absolutely beautiful! Melissa Bettencourt was amazing—she really helped us choose the right package and made some outstanding recommendations along the way. The venue looked gorgeous, the food was delicious, and the service couldn’t have been better. She made everything super easy and totally stress-free. We were blown away by all the little details, and that million-dollar view from the ballroom and terrace was just breathtaking.

Jonah was so nice and gave great recommendations for drinks and food pairings. He knew the menu very well and gave good insight to what food we would enjoy most based on our preferences. Very good experience!

Had dinner at the Castaway last night. The music was so loud and pounding, one would've thought it was a dance club. It was impossible to have a conversation. We complained. The manager should have his or her head examined. I won’t be suggesting this place to anyone. We couldn't wait to leave.

I came here for my birthday and Greyson and Soto took GREAT care of us! They answered all our questions, informed us about fun and unique drinks, and built a rapport that made us feel like old friends. I will say that I had called and emailed the front desk a few times before my trip, and I was hoping to sit around the fire pits for sunset but couldn’t quite get a clear answer on if/how to reserve seats. That said, any frustration disappeared the instant we sat down and Greyson started taking care of us. He even watched our seats for a few minutes as we went to took sunset pictures for my birthday, which was really all I wanted! Felt like a VIP at this bar and would gladly come back to dine and celebrate again and again.

Grayson and Soto gave excellent service all night! Very kind and great at recommending drinks and food. They were both very personable and I will definitely be returning!

Great atmosphere as far as scenery; however, was too much of a “club” type of environment for a pricey dinner with loud music. Suggest loud club music stay out of the dining area.. more appropriate for bar or actual club. Not for dining! Steak was also served cold and had to be returned.

The Castaway Burbank has been my grandma’s favorite restaurant for as long as I can remember, and it holds such a special place in my heart because of that. I recently went for brunch with my mom and grandma, and once again, the experience was nothing short of amazing. The food is absolutely delicious — everything from the appetizers to the main dishes was flavorful and perfectly prepared. The view is incredible, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a meal and take in the scenery. On top of that, the service was fast and attentive, which made our visit even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a beautiful place with fantastic food and exceptional service, I highly recommend The Castaway!

Lovely spot, food was better than average not off the charts. My belgium waffle was most def not belgian. The music was bad and too loud. Service was kind but just not good. sorry, I wanted to love it. Maybe, don't go for brunch as the menu is too limited and def try for a table outside on a beautiful day. The mimosas were weird, not totally bubbly. Not sure how that happens. I've always wanted to come here and left well , underwhelmed. ITS VALET ONLY

I’ve been trying to make my way to Castaway for years. And it did not disappoint. The views are amazing. Much better in person vs social media. Naturally it’s not guaranteed you’ll get the outside experience with a view if you request. But they do their best to accommodate your request. The music is fun and the vibe is upbeat. Our server was Vanessa and she was such a sweetheart. We ordered the Caviar Frites, Brussels Sprouts, and Crab cake for appetizers and they all were fantastic. We decided to share the Tomahawk steak and added Truffle Butter and Grilled Shrimp and it did not disappoint. We were too full for dessert but they had great options. I will definitely dine here again. My friends and I will need to try out brunch.

My friends and I arrived to celebrate our birthdays. We were impressed by the exceptional service we received for both food and drinks. The overall quality of the food was quite satisfying. Although my friend's ribeye was a letdown with its tough texture, the meat sampler we ordered was a highlight thanks to the amazing view, great company, and impeccable service(john). I must admit that the view, company, and service were the true stars of the evening. Of course, the food was delicious as well, definitely worth a return visit.

We went on a Friday night and we're seated like Rock Stars on the railing. Omg Shrimp Spicy Cocktail was perfect and the Caesar was cold and crisp. Wagu to die for and the best mocktails I have ever had. Jalapeno bread out of this world. Thanks for everything perfect dining experience

Had family in town visiting and celebrating a birthday. All props go to our server, Ahmad (hopefully I'm spelling it right), who was incredible! He really made everyone feel special and have a great evening. Beautiful scenery.

She has a deep knowledge of the menu, she always provides white glove service, anticipates all of our needs and she does it all with a smile. I normally stray away from fancy restaurants because while the atmosphere is great, the food is usually not that great. However, this restaurant hits the park when it comes to both the food and the atmosphere. I took my wife and mother in law here for an impromptu lunch since we were in the area and feel we were turned away from valet based on our car type and not looking the part/like regular clientele. I’ve taken clients here before with reservations but also have never had a problem with walkins and sitting at the bar. When we pulled up to valet they asked us if we had reservations, I said no we were just going to see and down to be at the bar. The valet guy said very matter of fact “ no tables without a reservation. You can’t go to the bar no full service at the bar only drinks.” I asked him “are you sure? No walks ins at all and no food service at the bar”. He confirmed and pulled the valet ticket from our windshield. I thought this was very odd, even Michelin star restaurants have a certain allowance for walk-ins and this was Sunday at 1:30pm, busy- sure, but not packed and it’s not a small intimate location. We could at least get a wait time and leave it to us to decided if we wanted to wait. I felt suspicious, parked and went inside to ask the hostess who told me the bar was in fact full service and we could be seated immediately at a table. We ordered and the food was great, mother in law and wife were happy with the views and the food. I feel that we were being purposefully turned away because we were in our older JEEP and because I didn’t look the part being that this was impromptu and I wasn’t in a full suit, but still had black pants boots and a nice shirt on. Very disappointing the treatment that me and my family received during this visit in contrast with when I show up with a different car and clothes. I will not be taking my clients here moving forward.

Become cast away from city life. Perched off a hill with the best view of all LA, from downtown and the valley, castaway is as magical as its name. Just the cocktail presentation alone is dressed to impress. The Belle is an enchanting drink straight out of Beauty and the Beast. The permanent vacation whisks you away to a beachside pineapple paradise. 11/10, this place is incredible.
