No volveré a visitarnos.

Been eating in here since it opened, the pizza and pasta are incredibly well priced compared to most places, you always know what you will get there and the service has always been perfect every single time we have been, especially by the Italian manager who is always great. Leads me to be suspicious about some of the overly and absurdly critical comments below going mental about toppings (it's Pizza guys and you aren't from Napoli) especially also then recommending other local restaurants, hmmmm!Maybe I'm just easily pleased but can't fault the place, especially when they charge £6.99 for a margarita pizza! Been lucky enough to have lived in Italy and although the food here is purposely aimed more at the British taste, as most do, it is still perfectly fine and look forward to eating there again soon!

We went on a Friday evening. It was not crowded when we arrived, but it was when we left around 9. We had several of the small plate appetizers, several pizzas, a salad, and a fungi sandwich. All were quite good. The pizza dough was amazing and cooked perfectly. It had just the right crispness and the crust was chewy. The ingredients were fresh and wonderful. We ended with the Nutella pizza for desert. The service was excellent! We had a large party and the prices were great with the tip included. They had a nice selection of craft brews as well. We were in Naples this summer and had some highly rated pizza there and Nonno’s stacks up with that.

I went on Saturday and ordered Pizza, it was soggy in the middle and I almost choked on a lump of cheese that resembled chewing gum, It was overpriced and the chain Pizzas are far better. Suffice to say I never ate the pizza, my son had a chick sandwich and he said it was hard to chew, what a disgrace.

While the food was average, the waiter was awful! He sat there staring at three tables of couples and myself like we were about to run off without paying! He literally sat on a stool and stared at everyone while they ate. I even felt the need to put my business card on the table so he would realise I was not about to abscond! After 20 mins of this I left halfway through my meal and paid. When asked I explained the problem. This waiter and the staff here need some serious management and at least a course on customer engagement, my advice would be to try Marantos or the Turkish restaurant on the same road.

Had a really nice early tea. Pizza was really well cooked, if a little cheesy. The dough was lovely though. If you don't like too much cheese get the foccacia instead, really nice. Been here before and the other food is ok but not fantastic. Stick to the pizza and you'll have a decent meal served with attention and a smile. Not sure why it isn't more busy, the building seems to suffer with the previous restaurants failing not through the quality of food as well. Don't know many places you can feed three adults and two kids with tasty pizza and a few drinks for £35?? We'll be back anyway!

Previously Esteban, nonno’s menu is mainly pizzas but they also do some small and large plates. If the sun is shinning they have a nice outside area to eat in. Pizza was massive and best one I have tasted on lark lane. As you walk in you see the pizza oven and the pizzas being cooked, I like the open kitchen concept. Nice beer on draught, estrella. Service was fast and overall I really enjoyed my lunch here and will be back for drinks in the sunshine ☀️

They have a pizza oven with all bells and whistles which rotates as it cooked etc etc...service was ok and I was really looking forward to my pizza...so when it came with hardly no cheese and no word of a lie, 3 slices of chorizo sausage, I was disappointed to say the least! Not one to make a fuss I ate it and had a pleasant diner with family. They didn’t particularly enjoy their meals either...I won’t be back in a hurry for food!...place does look lovely though!!

being in lark lane last week on a lovely afternoon, popped in for a bite to eat and a beer. first time for all of us. quite impressed. it's a beautiful place and pretty spacious. as well as the main restaurant, it runs to a patio style section down one side that then opens up into the beer garden. great for such warm, sunny days. between us we ordered a rocket salad, a steak dish, a stuffed chicken dish, multiple orders of skinny fries and a meat feast pizza. all the meals were very good, the steak cooked as ordered, all very tasty and well presented. that said, and not to nit pick but I thought the pizza lacked a little on toppings. not something I'd usually order but I'd noticed their authentic pizza oven on entering. the base, thin and crispy. for me, the right amount of sauce and cheese, just too few meats. there was sausage, lots of chopped ham and some pepperoni, but I didn't see any of the salami that was supposed to come with it. also, a lack of prosciutto, a meat feast should have prosciutto on it. as I say, nit picky as what I did get was lovely but could have been even better. those skinny fries though, delicious. re drinks, they do a good range of bottled, some draught beers, wines and cocktails. we happily stuck to the draught lager, very nice. overall a very pleasant afternoon. my meat gripes aside, I would easily recommend. a lovely place and the service is pretty good too. I will be back.

Visited on late afternoon service.Overall a great dining experience.Cafe style setting and decor. Well spaced and good cleanliness. We were seen, seated and orders taken quickly.Looks like the pizza oven is copper, so (I think) this means the pizza bases are a little less crispy than from a stone oven, but I'll happily be corrected on this. The result is a really delicious and soft pizza base, well cooked, and well balanced toppings with good quality ingredients. The ice cream dessert was very smooth and subtle flavour. Great selection of beers and wines.Staff very friendly with a sense of urgency. Prices are spot on given the quality of food and service.

Visited Nonnos Pizza for the first time on 1st March 2019 as a group of 9. The occasion for the visit en-masse was as an after work thing. To begin with I wanted to pre book a table due to the numbers involved and because it would be a Friday visit but it was decided this was not necessary by our rabble. However at 5pm the first four of the party arrived to a somewhat quiet Nonnos and spoke to the Italian gentleman at front of house. When we requested a table for 9 people we where looked at in such a way that made me slightly uncomfortable by the gentleman. The way someone would look at you if you accidentally double-dipped some of your starter platter in the communal sweet chilli sauce at a Chinese meal. At this point I thought we were going to be turned away and my colleagues at that point seemed to agree but to our total surprise he said that he could accommodate us and we were seated towards the back of the restaurant on the elevated side with a table set out for 9 people. My anxiety at this point was cured as I always pre book on a dining out visit at the weekend. Until the rest of our party arrived in dribs and drabs we proceeded to the bar and ordered and paid for our own drinks as required. Our party was not fully gathered until an hour later (you know how these things go) and it was only then did we order our food. Pizza and Beer offer for £10.00 so that’s what the order was for most people while some of the group have a strong penchant for garlic bread so some people plumped for the garlic bread only. Food arrived and I have to say none of us where disappointed. Piping hot pizzas of all flavours and steaming potent garlic bread came to the table. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and accommodating towards our rabble. We turned up at Nonnos Pizza in the same manner as you would expect from a group of 6th form students turning up at a Beefeater while away on an A level field trip, unorganised, loud and hungry, dying for a beer. The establishment couldn’t have been any more accommodating and the service didn’t suffer. The restaurant was quiet and didn’t really pick up until we started to make moves to leave which was about two and a half hours later so I can imagine if we had arrived later would Nonnos have been able to accommodate us but we had a great time here and the food was good. Estrella on draft seemed to be the order of the day for most of us on the drink side (which was nice) but some of the females in the group went with cocktails and wine and also echoed that their drinks were good. Would I visit Nonnos again? Yes absolutely if I was going to spend a night in Lark Lane. I wouldn’t put Nonnos on the same pedestal as Amalia Pizza in the city centre but it’s definitely a contender. I don’t have anything bad to say about my experience here. I also have to add that I am glad that Nonnos have abandoned having Birra Moretti on draft. Assumedly because it’s no longer an imported beer and brewed under licence in the UK to its downfall.

The food was wonderful-pizzas were delicious and the sea bass dish was fantastic. We brought our own birthday cake which the on-duty manager (who was so nice) duly presented at the appropriate time! One of the great things about traveling the globe is the stories you learn about the people you meet long the way. My family and I ventured into Nonno's pizza and plates as my daughter and her husband, who live here in Liverpool, recommended it for its vegan pizza and other dietary options for meat eaters like my wife and me. Shortly after sitting down, I learned that the cook that night is from Minnesota and that the owner of this restaurant and Marantos across the street were owned by a Chicagoan. While I currently live in DC, Chicago will always be my home! It is good to see a local boy making it in another city in our great world. My son, daughter, and son-in-law all opted for the vegan friendly giardunio pizza. I was impressed by the smell and the isze of each of the pizzas. They absolutely devoured their food. My wife selected the sea bass, served over roasted potatoes and spinach. As she always shares with me, I can attest to its deliciousness. I chose the lamb rump, which was a bit of a let down as the lamb was a bit fatty and too rare for "medium-rare." Still, the lamb overall was very tasty and was served with potatoes and peas in a wonderful gravy. We topped off a great meal with a bottle of Grave del Friuli Sauvignon Blanc, which is advertised as having a delicate aroma of green pepper and apples. Clearly, I tasted the apples, but I did not experience anything with a hint of green pepper. Nonetheless, a very good wine. If we return, I will definitely try one of the pizzas!

This is my first ever complaint on trip advisor as it's not something I take lightly. This is a lovely restaurant, with lovely food, which is why I am a regular customer. However, on 11/07/18 this was sadly ruined by a certain member of staff resulting in me never wanting to return.Essay allert but bare with me. It was my mum's birthday so we thought we would treat her to a meal, both myself, my sister and my 2 year old daughter. Now I'm not sure if many parents have this problem, but god forbid she's placed in a highchair. We turn into THAT family with the screaming toddler. So I know if a restaurant have Bench's or a booth I always request them. Gives my daughter her freedom whilst still in my control. On each occasion I have visited Nonnos I've requested a table they have as it has an bench attached with an arm on it, which keeps my little one more safe and secure and we've never had any problems. However when we arrived we were sat on a table with 4 chairs, I very politely explained that I requested a certain table and named the reasons above. I couldn't believe his reaction towards me. He got right in my face waving his hands and said "that couple have been sat there since half 12, you can't expect me to ask them to leave or to move just because you want that table" ... It was half 6 at this point and given they had a baby in a pram I find that VERY doubtful. So I again, very politely explained I phoned up 4 days in advance for that table again explaining the reasons for it and i believed that's the point to a resivation. I felt very deflated, upset and never come across rudeness like it.He sat us outside but by the point none of us wanted to be there. So we got up and left. When we did the rudeness continued. He once again got in my face and had the nerve to say "you can't go, I've just given them their bill and they're leaving" so I said he had ruined this experience for us, not once did he say that in the first instanced that he'd ask them to move and not once did we ever receive an apology. Completely contradicting himself. My sister phoned up and complained to a manager who said he'll have words with the staff n it was simply left at that.Such a shame, but I do not deserve to be spoken to like that by anyone.

We have eaten here when it was Estaban but this was our first visit as Nonnos. I loved the setting, the outside space on a sunny day is fab. Couldn't fault the service, friendly and attentive without being over bearing. The food let's the place down. I had the fried goats cheese which was ok but looked processed in presentation, needed less cheese, more salad, dressing and a bit of bread. The Parmigiano came with fries which is a pet peeve as an authentic Italian restaurant wouldn't have them on the menu and the chicken was dry and had no taste. I will say I was annoyed I hadn't ordered the pizza as they looked amazing.

The food was good although if you don't like pizza there is not an awful lot of choice. Unfortunately smoking is allowed in the outside area where we were seated. The cigarettes weren't too bad but about 4 feet away from our table a couple were vaping and sending large clouds of smoke our way which was very unpleasant. We ate here soon after Nonno’s opened. We went on a Tuesday night and were offered 2 pizzas and two drinks for £20. Couldn’t refuse, really! Friends had been the week before and weren’t impressed but as always, we like to make our own opinion! Our pizza’s were perfectly crispy with perfect tasting dough. My choice was the quattro stagioni with no meat, so good! My boyfriend had the quattro formaggi which was lovely, but really rich. He wasn’t able to finish his as the four cheeses made it really heavy, especially as the pizza cooled down; he was able to finish mine though. Drinks wise, he had a beer and I had a red wine. All together this was excellent value. We’ve eaten in Nonno’s again since then. I didn’t fancy pizza and instead had the aubergine parmigiana. This wasn’t quite as warm as I’d have liked and it was quickly replaced by an entirely fresh plate with no fuss. Excellent service but the dish itself wasn’t quite as impressive as the pizza. Will definitely go back again. Even thinking about it makes me want their pizza. One thing which would make this place even better would be maybe a little selection of dips for pizza crust. I’ve been to a few pizza places recently and have had choices of wild garlic pesto, blue cheese among others. Might be nice for Nonno’s to try something like this.

The place is honestly great! I love a good stone baked pizza and this place did not disappoint! Great selection of craft beers also to work through if you’re feeling thirsty! Would also recommend on trying the garlic bread too!

We went for pizza and chips for our kids and we got tempted by the specials menu. Rib eye steak with a rocket salad and homemade chunky chips. We did wait a while for our food like. The waiter even came over after 30 mins and said “sorry for ur wait, it’s on it’s way”. Got it about 10 more minutes later. The pizza looked fab like but it wasn’t. I love a lovely authentic Italian thin baked pizza but this was silly! It was TOOOO thin, literally transparent! The crust was ok but the pizza fell off when u picked it up! Haha The steak also looked very appetising and we got them rare. They were decent sizes and they wer cooked very well but the herb butter that was on top was about an inch thick and the same size as the actual steak. It wouldn’t melt it was that thick. The rocket salad was tossed in so much oil it was inedible and the homemade chunky chips wer seeping with fat. The whole meal was just a plate of grease. Such a shame. Won’t return I’m afraid.

This was our first visit since Nonno's opened. We had previously visited the restaurant when it was Esteban and hoped that the ambience of the place had not been impaired. We need not have worried, any changes were subtle and totally acceptable. The choice food is unusual as one can select from tapas style small plates, salads, pizza, large plates. We decided to eat from the specials on offer, my wife had Duck Breast which was cooked superbly and exactly as requested. I decided on chicken wrapped in prosciutto, stuffed with spinach and served with a cream and mushroom sauce. Both meals were excellent and we then shared a fantastic Tiramisu. The wine list is a little restricted, we decided on a jug of Sicilian Sangria which was nice and refreshing. they do stock a good range of craft beers.Staff were attentive without being intrusive and they were polite and helpfulWe shall certainly return to this establishment in the near future

Decent service. Fun fact: In 1960; when my father was just 19, he had broken into 26 Slater Street a number of times and was reported in the local newspapers such as the Liverpool Echo. 26 Slater Street used to be called the Corinthian Coffee Club.

We ordered a giant cookie on the second of feb to be collected on the 17th feb giving plenty time for it to be made. The day before pick up I ran the branch and asked about the cookie to which the lady rudely replied she hadn’t got an order and that there was lots of staff so it had gone missing, she didn’t even think to ask what was my order and instead told me to ring back at 4:30pm as she was extremely busy. As this cookie was for an event I didn’t want to risk not getting it and with the employee not really listening and being rude on the phone I went down to speak to her to my Surprise (not) she was not busy instead on her phone with her headphones in I spoke about the issue with the missing order and showed her my receipt to which she replied (I believe you) well I’m glad she did as she took my order on the 2nd. She never apologised or even acknowledges her mistake instead was extremely rude. I’m sure this isn’t the time of person Millie’s wants as the front for there business because I will not be going back and I’m sure others will feel the same if they have to deal with the same rudeness and inconvenience.
