Expensive but worth for the food and experience they provide

very good food, also very good for its prise even if its expensive. The waiter wss realky nice and took very good care of us.

Our experience was as pleasant as ever. As we travel it becomes very important for us to have dinner at every Nobu possible. One of our favorite dishes is the miso cod that we happily put two orders away of. On to the Wagyu which was absolutely delicious. We are so pleased and grateful as always to join for dinner."

Excellent restaurant. A menu that offers Japanese cuisine with spicy Peruvian touches and a good offer of cocktails for appetizers or to end the meal. The space is large, and when it is full there is too much noise to have a conversation. They have recommended us exceptionally and we have eaten great dishes, but the portions are very fair to share with a group of 4-6.

I arrived at 8:15 and we all decided to have the tasting menu..our final plate of the 5 courses came out close to midnight. it was rediculous. Ive been to obu before and never had such bad service. Also found a hair in my dish, which was replaced. At a fast food joint I would not have been so annoyed,..but the prices you pay to have a hair even mistakenly fallen into dish! We did remove the service charge becuase the staff were very unattentive.

Nobu has managed to keep the highest standards for years. Still our favourite venue for sushi and other wonderful dishes. The prices are very fair for the quality. Great work and please keep it up!

We went to Nobu for the first time and everything was amazing! The staff was very professional and explained all the dishes very well and recommended dishes according to our taste. Staff welcomes us with an anniversary card and a dessert at the end for us! I was unsure about the miso cod until i had the first bite, it’s absolutely worth it, the portion was perfect too Absolutely happy with my experience at Nobu

This is probably the most overpriced and overrated restaurant in London. The staff are shocking, the food is bang average and the decor looks like a primary school dinner hall. The prices are beyond ridiculous for wine and the overall experience is poor. Staff did as little as they could and the manageress was incredibly rude. Will never return to this restaurant, they basically robbed me

The food was okay, very overpriced because of the name of the restaurant. I don’t understand why put avocado in a Japanese food ( in Japan they don’t put avocado at the roll). The service was great, but the chairs are very uncomfortable to sit. I didn’t want to spend more time at the restaurant because of the chairs.

Such a shame they missed our birthday request even though the table next to us got it making us feel left out and brought the wrong plate to the table 3 times ! Also bear in mind the spicy tuna is not spicy actually the plainest and looks like mayonnaise holding it together and the shrimp and lobster with spicy lemon sauce has no lemon sauce let alone spice!

The food was good, and the staff were friendly for the most part. However for the price you pay I think you can get a better and more plentiful meal now in London.

I have to admit that I was and still am hugely disappointed by the quality of the food served up on my visit here. After all the hype there has been over Nobu I expected that the flavours would transport me back to Japan and my wonderful and amazing days living there experiencing food heaven across from across all the different regions and prefectures of Japan. Instead I left Nobu with much left to desire. The green tea at the end was probably the poor finishing touch to the end of my palate’s journey to Nobu. Ceremonial Matcha? I asked the staff and the response was an enthusiastic “YES!” It was too much water and not well brushed / stirred and really speechless poor. On the food spread, ordered a variety of dishes and sushi including the spicy edamame. Total spent was close to 500 pounds for four of us. Aside from the service that was excellent the food was a total letdown. Only the salads, fried rice on the stick and the spicy edamame were of good taste. The rest absolutely forgettable. The rice of the sushi was so hard, almost like it was frozen sticky rice wrapped over the tuna and salmon rolls. The black cod miso didn’t come out to resonate the miso seasoning well; and the miso soup was probably the worst I have had in any Japanese restaurant I have visited anywhere in the world. I am unsure if the experience here(which was consistent across all four of us), is because we were the last lunch booking slot at 2.30 and so the food was not prepared fresh and from the shelf or that the preparation was actually poor. The last course of desserts - ice cream mochi again a massive disappointment. It was terrible. The ice cream was really poor quality and the mochi was hard like just out of the freezer. (FYI - we didn’t eat it after the first bite). In summary I am really disappointed and will not be rushing back to Nobu anytime soon. It is a pity that they do not offer real authentic Japanese fare here and that the quality is really wanting. Perhaps the taste is adjusted to the palates of the busy traffic of visitors from the Middle East. Hard to know but if you are looking for authenticity and quality Japanese fare, definitely better options available in London for much lesser.

Food is great. High quality. Atmosphere and service felt like we were at a Dennys in the US. Service was non-personable and felt like a factory. Spoke with main server twice. Once to take order and other for desert. Seems like their strategy is to get people in and out as quick as they can.

Overall a great experience, had a wonderful special occasion here. The signature menu was fantastic. Wine pairing was great, although it is a bit too pricey in my opinion.

Our overall experience at Nobu London, Old Park Lane, was a solid 4. The Black Cod with Butter Lettuce and Tacos were outstanding, showcasing the culinary brilliance of Nobu. However, the ambiance, while nostalgic, felt a bit outdated as the design remains unchanged over the years. The restaurant's popularity made it bustling and somewhat loud.

Really great food and good waiter. Some of the waiters were a bit unfriendly. Really sad that the restaurant itself looks really bad and not like the other nobus I‘m used to (for example the nobu in barcelona.) overall food is good but you should really work on the ambiente and the interior design also on the toilets.

Classy dining experience. Me and my wife enjoyed the food and service heavily. Our waiter was always on hand to assist us with any dietary requirements / enquiries we had and ensure that we had a smooth and seamless evening. The food was lovely. Food was cooked to perfection with no complaints whatsoever. Definitely a top spot to eat if you feel like splashing a little.

All elements that are required of a fantastic dining experience were met, the food has continued to remained exceptional on every visit. Fresh floral flavours with zesty tones and interesting textures. Nobu is at the very top tier of Japanese fusion dining. We thoroughly enjoy the warm and helpful service every single time.

Overall great restaurant. Just a bit disappointed that the atmosphere was lacking. Very little decoration especially as it was Christmas time. All I'm favour of minalism but they have gone to the extreme in this site. Food as usual very good, but I do still question some of the prices.

Nobu is a staple and the Old Park Lane Nobu is as good as they get in terms of food which is superb. However, nothing much has changed in the restaurant in the last 20 years I frequent it, the interior shows it's age and looks a bit tired.

Nobu's upscale vibe and atmosphere set the stage for a great experience, but the food, while not bad, didn't quite live up to the hype. overrated, but still a chic dining spot. 🍣🌟

Our first time at a Nobu, and safe to say this is one of my favourite dining experiences in my lifetime, excellent service, exemplary staff members, exquisite food, would give 6/5 if it were possible. We decided to go for the Omakase menu, and it was unlike anything I have done in my life, fun and engaging and absolutely delicious, we will be back!

This is an extremely rare review I’m writing: every single aspect of this restaurant - the food, the service, the atmosphere and the overall rating - gets 5 stars. Which, in other words, means full marks. No drawbacks. No downsides. Just amazingness. First, let’s start with the quality of the food. Nobu is known to have the most premium sushi-grade fish out of all of the Japanese restaurants in the world, plus an impeccable mix of creativity, innovation and Japanese culture in every dish they offer. The flavors mix well together: a pungent blend of fresh fishes, rices and much more. The presentation is also stunning - literally picture-perfect. Any photo of their food can look professional, due to the sheer quality of craftsmanship in their presentation. A personal favorite of mine would definitely be their lobster tacos - whilst they might be bite-sized, you can expect that your tongue will be bombed with the most delicious flavors you’ve ever tasted. Moving onto the service, it’s equally phenomenal. It’s quick, precise, helpful - waiters at Nobu sometimes give recommendations, friendly greetings and always get your correct order. The atmosphere is also charming - Nobu is furnished with traditional minimalist Japanese tables and chairs, adding a cultural element to the ambiance. If you’re looking for the next perfect meal, Nobu is the stop you just have to take.

I just spend 500£ here and was still hungry after paying for sushi,sashimi, tempura rock shrimps, Chilean seabass , to the point I had to go to a fish & chips for dinner. The next time I would just give them 500£ and walk away instead of wasting my time in this place.

We were there at dinner with two friends last Saturday... the restaurant was very busy and the level of noise quite annoying. They should consider reducing the number of tables and adding sound-absorbing layers to the walls, windows and ceiling. Apart from this, food was great. They have an excellent list of wines and the level of service is quite hight. Again, a pity the high level of noise...

Went here recently for my birthday lunch. I am a huge sushi fan but have been to quite a few sushi restaurants all over the world and I know nobu is considered quite pricey so I'll be honest I was half expecting it to be a bit of a disappointment. Maybe one of those places you go once to try and don't go back because as nice as it is, there's others that are just as nice but cheaper. I have to say, I was wrong. The food was out of this world. We got a nice selection to try as many things as we could and absolutely everything we had was divine. I had the lychee crush alcohol free cocktail which was absolutely gorgeous. Food wise we had nigiri salmon, Crispy nori sushi cup with spicy tuna & salmon and avocado (these were my faves) Shrimp tempura maki & soft shell crab maki + Chicken skewers. Honestly if I could afford to I would eat there every day! The staff were very welcoming, helpful and attentive. They even brought out a little birthday treat for me at the end. We had a lovely table overlooking the park and it was a really hot sunny day so overall was a beautiful day out in London. Will definitely be back soon and highly recommend. We went theatre straight after and was loads of cabs outside (it's next to the Hilton so have a constant flow of mini cabs).

Fresh Japanese food good for lovers of high end Japanese experiences. Not for the budget minded diner but a vibrant and healthy eating experience in a great section of London.

Sadly this place is surviving by name alone. The food was terribly bland and lacking in flavour. We ordered three starters and left after trying two. The lobster tacos tasted like onion water and we couldn’t taste the lobster at all. The tempura mushroom was again so watery it completely lacked in taste. The seafood ceviche was OK and not too bad but you don’t want to be eating “not too bad” in a place like this. For the price you pay this was probably pound for pound one of the worst restaurants I’ve been to.

Im going to start coming here everyweek. Enjoyed it very much. Will be going there again.

Sit at the sushi bar and order what the sushi bar recommends + some hot dishes and you won’t leave disappointed.

Beware outrageously bad experience! The first impression walking into the foyer was nice and pleasant, however coming upstairs the atmosphere felt like a cafeteria with ridiculously overpriced food. Firstly the water was served in dusty/dirty glasses. Asked for new ones and got only one new glass since the waiter already poured some of the water into the other dusty glass. We weren't offered the summer lunch menu and had to ask for it ourselves. Then it took over 35 minutes waiting for the food. The waiter came to the table and said the chicken main is being made and it takes time and asked if we wanted some edamame in the meantime, which we said ok to. Bento box was then served separately and the other party had to wait further for their food. The waiter then came to the table and said "chicken was being made and plated now and will be served in a minute". It took another 10 minutes after that until the chicken main was finally served. The food was very average for the pricing of the restaurant and chicken was completely overcooked, edamame excessively oversalted, skin on the cod was soggy and gluey, vegetables with rice had no sauce and were completely dry. Meal itself was completely underwhelming. When we were going to pay we noticed the charge (of 8£) for the edamame. When we enquired about it, meaning that it was offered as an apology for delays in the kitchen, the waiter denied offering it for free, disagreed and made us pay for it anyway. The service was horrible on multiple levels. We further on did not want to pay the service charge as it stated on the receipt that it was optional, but we were denied the possibility to omit paying it. There are hundreds, if not thousands other much better places to eat in London. Would absolutely not recommended this place.

The usual welcome shouted by the sushi chefs was not as loud and vibrant as before. They let 2 young lads coming in and take a table to have a mocktail. They were loud and ridiculous. Luckily gone quickly. Our Lithuanien server was impeccable.

Nobu is my favourite restaurant for special occasions, managed to be able to visit on 2 occasions so far, both being my Birthday and both times I was extremely happy. I absolutely love the food and when visiting for dinner there is a lovely view to enjoy alongside the food. Service is prompt and professional. Food is delicious and ambience relaxed. I have been blessed enough to try multiple dishes and I have not had one dish which left me disappointed. Overall great restaurant! Highly recommended!

This place isn't easy to book as it's usially fully booked but once we were there we could understand why. We didn't go for many years and weren't disappointed. Attentive and no intrusive service, fresh and delicious food, a beautiful view of hyde Park to complete the whole experience. We can't wait to come back.

Unfortunately this place is overrated, the food is average and prices extortionate for what was offered. We expected high prices and exceptional food, this was not the case and the restaurant itself needs a renovation. Felt like 80's cafeteria at best, sorry Nobu not impressed.

We had an amazing evening with the best service and delicious food. We orderd the 6 course tasting menu and everything was super. The only thing negative about our experience was that it was abit loud in the restaurant. And the weather outside 😂

We (family of four adults) visited the Nobu London on a Sunday. It was quiet busy there and the atmosphere was loud but not uncomfortable. The service was absolutely on point and our waiter explained the dishes in detail before ordering. A very courteous and still funny/ relaxed handling of the service impressed all of us. 3 of us had the London Omakase Menu and 1 ordered á la carte. The omakase was absolutely amazing! A huge variety of dishes and finesse in cooking was offered. To criticize on a high level: The first course ( Nori shell with avocado and caviar) was not as good as the following ones. That’s because the avocado was taste-wise in the foreground and the caviar couldn’t develop its whole repertoire. All the other courses of the omakase were unique and delicious. Overall, it has been a pleasure eating at Nobu London and we would definitely come back soon!

Restaurant doesn't care about couriers, they don't tell you how long it will take for the food to be ready.

At the end of the day, everything considered it was an ok meal. Nothing special.. have had better Japanese food around the world and have most definitely been in places that look a little bit better than a worn out canteen of sorts. A day later we had breakfast tlat the Nobu restaurant in Barcelona and it was leagues above the London venue in both decor and venue. The lack of generosity was well apparent in both portion sizes and the small things here and there that make meals memorable. My opinion - it's ok for an expensive business lunch not for a celebratory or special meal.

Oh, and great Nobu experience at Old Park Lane. The Nobu experience is slightly different than other Nobu experiences because the restaurant doesn’t have that polished feel that you find in a New York or city Nobu location. The atmosphere has a more cafe, lunch vibe. I would try other Nobu locations maybe at the Portman Square and compare the difference. Food has some slight variations from what you find in US locations such as the Salmon Karashi Su Miso which has ginger on top. Service is overall excellent. Flavio and Gabrielle were amazing.

The food was good, portions were soooo small. The price of food was way to much. The service was amazing.

We had a booking and were 5 minutes late yet our table was not ready therefore we had to wait for 10 minutes. As we were waiting we were pushed to pick our food and drinks straight away and felt rushed to order our food. When we ordered we were asked if all the food can come down at once in the middle of the table, which we had no problem with as were going to be sharing anyway. However, the dishes all came separately with the last dish being a main that came over and hour after we ordered our food. While we were sat no one came and asked us if we needed anything or checked on our food. On top of that we had to remind the staff after attempting to gain their attention for 15 minutes about the main we ordered which was clearly forgotten about hence we felt we were being a nuisance. Its really a shame as the food was very nice but it was overshadowed by the service. Since this was our second time at this restaurant we hoped the experience would improve and we gave it a second chance. However both times have clearly demonstrated the staff do not prioritise customers which is absurd since 15% service charge is added to the bill. The table next to us had also spoken to one of the managers and complained about the service. It is unfortunate as i have been to various Nobu restaurants around the world and this restaurant does not uphold the Nobu name. Overall, really disappointed, if you are thinking of going to eat here go for the food and do not expect a good service.

Situado junto al Hilton de Park Line, es el típico restaurante en el que se paga por el sitio, la comida está muy bien presentada, pero sinceramente la veo un poco cara, además en la puerta había un señor que como íbamos con ropa informal, parecía que le molestaba que subieramos, porque no hizo muchas preguntas para entrar, se ve que es de esos que juzga a la gente por su apariencia y no por el dinero que lleven en el bolsillo.

One of the first Nobu opened out of Japan some 20 years ago, same location for many years. Famous Japanese restaurant opened by Chef Nobu and Hollywood celebrity. Modern Japanese cusine. When it first opened 20years ago, it was a big hit but the restaurant is showing its age. Many newcomers are better these days. Nobu became too commercial and lost its niche. Nevertheless, the food is not bad. Can try

So I went to Nobu London for an anniversary where I believe at the time they were doing a 7 or 8 course meal. I have to say the food was very good and surprisingly filling for how small the courses were - I guess they add up! 😅 They also had good alcoholic and non-alcoholic selection of cocktails and drinks for those that like to drink 🍹 The place looks beautiful, and it really sets a romantic and chilled vibe, I loved it. However, be prepared to pay for the experience - if I’m not mistaken everything together including drinks was about £400, but it was definitely worth the experience and the service was some of the best I’ve seen in London asian cuisine restaurants.

We booked this as a special occasion, and although the service and food was great, I honestly couldn’t believe how dull and uninspiring the restaurant is considering the price and reputation. Hundreds of other reviews say the same. It’s like being in a basic buffet canteen. Toilets are like leisure centre ones, I thought I’d gone through the wrong door. There are multiple high end restaurants that feel more special, very disappointing considering the premium prices, and for that reason I wouldn’t recommend or go back unfortunately. Get a refurb!

High quality food with a price to match. Only complaint is it’s a very noisy place, lots of loud business types meeting clients. Bring headphones !

Fresh fish, fresh food. Delicious. Favorite spot is by the bar, so you can see the magic happen.

Celebrated a birthday here and they put a handwritten birthday letter on the table for our reservation! Service was attentive, food was outstanding. You can never go wrong with a Nobu location!

Amazing service with some delicious food. I would definitely recommend Lobster/King Crab Tacos, Spicy Edamame, Chilean Sea Bass, Baby Spinach Salad, Wagyu Toban-yaki, Soft Shell Crab roll, Nasu Miso, Satandagi... Well, I would recommend everything we had :) Delicious! We will be back.
