NO8 KEBAB in Daventry - Phone Number, Reservations, Reviews

The guy that served me was very friendly and we had a good bit of banter. I ordered a mixed meat and chips and paid an extra pound for a little bit more Donner, so £10 for a regular is pretty steep tbh compared with other places I visit on my journeys around the UK. Both Donner and the chicken were very nice and also the chips! The guy put some seasoned Turkish bread in for me as well and gave me a box of Turkish baklava. My only complaint is that there wasn't enough meat but overall very nice and I'll definitely try it again.

The kebab was banging. Some of the best I've ever had. The pita...amazingly moist and soft. Onion rings, outta this world. Would definitely recommend.

Ordered lamb donor kebab with 8 nuggets. My man hooked me up with 10. Food was delicious, well cooked. Donor wasnt oily, vegetables were fresh, packed separately. Pita bread was soft on the inside crispy on the outside. Tastes great, great quality. The guy there was a legend. 10/10 all round

2024 returned and the no.8 kebab, definitely not as good any more, dry food, smaller portions, prices increased, hence downgraded my rating. Very good lamb donner and chicken donner kebabs, salads were fresh and green chillies in abundance. Only downside was the fries were crammed into too small a container so very soggy on arrival. Definitely will reorder from No 8 again, great quality and value.

Not only the worst take away in Daventry but probably the worst I've ever seen. Cold chips, lamb donner was dry and cold and the chicken donner was cold and burnt. Also the bill came to more than the menu said (driver skimming off the top?) The only saving grace was that the portion size was so stingy I didn't feel so bad throwing it in the bin.

Hands down, some of the best food I’ve had recently! They use the freshest ingredients and make sure each dish is done the right way.Thanks No8 Kebab(Number 1 for me 😊)

Used this place alot and unfortunately it's definitely going down hill .. past 3 times I have used it meat was very dry . Almost like the day before meat very disappointing . And now this just use the normal pitta bread not the Turkish bread that made then unique in Daventry. Won't be using No 8 again .

Ordered food part was missing I rang up to say. He just put the phone down then wouldn't answer my calls. Rice was hard and chicken was over done no flavour. It's gone down since the last time I ordered

First time ordering tonight. We had chicken shish which was really nice. It would be better if there was less rice and more salad. The chicken bites are also tasty. We really enjoyed it all and look forward to trying our baklava for pudding. 😁

A hell of a lot of meat. As a non doner fan who has started to like Greek gyros, i tried this. The meat seems good quality. I personally prefer the chicken. You get a lot of meat in the large mixed doner. Tzaziki is always a great option. The salad is very fresh and tastes great. The staff are very polite and fast to help. Second time after a long while. Cheesy garlic bread is really good. Which makes me want to try the pizzas. I put in comments for mixed kebab as the website wouldn't offer it and they did it. Fantastic considering they could ignore it. The donor is better than the chicken kebab

Ordered kebab and 6 hot wings. Hotwings only came in 5 pieces (very mid) and kebab was mediocre at best and spotted a hair in it, it's pure grim.

Had a large doner kebab. Lots of meat,garlic and chilli sauce was nice,bread was very tasty. Meat was seasoned well but the cuts were a bit too thick for me hence why the 4 stars.

Ordered from here, 2 pieces of halloumi in a halloumi wrap??? Ordered wedges and they sent curly fries that were more or less cremated so completely wrong, poor quality and no where near enough. Probably won’t be back.

Had to change my 5 star review from last year. Best kebab shop in town has fallen off. I ordered a Large doner and chips, and a kids doner meat and chips (check the pictures, that's what we got) Burnt, cold, hardly any meat, had to throw it out Orders were not only wrong, but the quality I wouldn't give to my dog. Called up and the guy said kebab machine wasn't working or something? Why would you send that out then? They sent us a free kofte kebab that was also of the same quality.

Ordered wrap and it was absolutely delicious and costumer services was superb. Ordering now first time there and each time very happy with food

I ordered a falafel wrap with salad and garlic sauce with chips. Despite my meal being vegetarian friendly there was a piece of meat amongst my chips. I am not vegetarian myself however this counts as cross contamination and it shouldn’t be happening. Food took an hour and wasn’t great however I can excuse the wait as I ordered on a Saturday evening. Was only 10 minutes after latest arrival time estimation. The food has been better previously and from my orders before I can say I do recommend the Turkish bread and chicken shish wrap, both are lovely.

Discusting food. Rude staff. 1 hour late, all hungry but whole takeaway is still sat on kitchen table large pizzas and burgers with a bite out of them as its unedible.

Rough food for drunks - soggy bap for burger chips soggy and stone cold - 2 burgers chucked in a bap for £8+ DISGUSTING….go anywhere but here

We have never used these before and done a delivery on line. We were then called to be told no meat only chicken! We waited over an hour for delivery and had to call to chase it up! Probably wouldn’t use again due to this experience.

Had one on Friday 2nd june I ordered a large lamb doner and chips. I thought the meat was lovely, lots of flavour, juicy and tender. Very pleased and thought I found my new take out. Would of given this 4/5 as the pita was rock solid so one point dropped. Then I had one last night. Well what a complete difference. The meat was tough , bland, no flavour. I couldn’t eat it and left over 3/4 . So now I will have to give this place a miss.

We had no 8 boss special it was 10/10.

Lovely 😍 👌 That Adana kofta was one of the best one I had for years , it came with rice salad and a Turkish bread. Also had some chicken doner and a garlic bread with cheese everything was cooked nice hot and delivered even before the time see you again guys

We order three mixed kebab. When we went to pickup they told us they don't have donner kebab only chicken kebab. They charged us for large kebab but kebab wasn't even regular kebab. I am really missed the previous owner who was very good nice man. When he was incharged we have no problem. I think I will not order again. We really need a good Kebab house in Daventry not like this one.

Unfortunately when you make cheesy chips you do not put them in a foil container and put a air tight lid on them they stick together and look a mess this is why you lay them nicely on a burger box ruined what could have been a perfectly good cheesy chips. 1 adana skewer and a handful full of chicken shish super oily sat in a pool of oil isn't £12.50. And when you cut doner meat don't cut it thick for goodness sake then it just looks like dog meat. Thin cuts are always pleasant and easy to eat. Unfortunately you failed to please us however the pizza was acceptable and good to eat. The lamachun with doner had salad in it and brick thick done meat which was cold as I explained don't put salad with hot food and wrap it up nobody wants warm salad and Cold brick done meat. Anyway gona avoid ordering here in future bad experience.

Absolutely amazing! Food is delicious and great value for money, we couldn't finish it all (yay we have lunch tomorrow) and that is saying something because my partner and I really like food 😂. Really friendly bunch too which makes it pleasant to order and wait for it. Everything is fresh. We will be back, 100%!!!

Great kebab shop 1st visit and i will be back. Salad was really fresh and generous portions, everything was spot on. One of the best take aways I have visited top marks.

Ordered twice from these, first time the food took two hours and was cold. The second time they called twice saying they were in their way. An hour and 10 later they called to say they wasn’t coming. Don’t waste your time.

I placed an order on their website last night using the last money i had until today. The bank took the money out of my account then No 8 rejected my order. I called them to ask why and they said they had jo lamb doner so had to cancel my order. They didn't offer me an alternative. I asked when the money would be back in my account and he said he didn't know, 'maybe a few days'. I asked to speak to a manager and he said he was co owner of the shop and was so rude and said there was nothing they could do, his exact words were 'what do you expect me to do about it'! I will never order from this company again!

Absolutely excellent chicken and lamb shish. Lovely salads and rice. Delicious warm breads. This has to become a weekly special. Delivery driver are so friendly and smiley. Find them on Google.

We have ordered from here several times and had no isssues, the food was delicious and delivered quickly. However we have ordered this evening and I can only assume they are having supply issues or are trying to save costs as the chicken on my pizza was some rubbery square chopped inedible rubbish, completely ruined the pizza, had to pick it all off..... really disappointing especially as the prices have also just gone up!! Won't be ordering again.

I tried this place for the first time and had a lamb donor with chilli sauce with salad it was delicious, even the onion rings were lovely, would definitely recommend and really friendly people too, also I had a pizza last night no8 special and it was hands down better than pizza hot pizza in Daventry and the pizza was absolutely delicious with two sauce's inside, garlic and herb and tomato Pizza itself had a lot of ingredients and fresh ingredients and was well worth paying for

Edit: the restaurant added a delivery charge and the quality of food went down, the pizza is disappointing and the garlic yoghurt sauce they use is not to my liking one bit. The first kebab i had was the best, every other one since has been worse on a declining scale. Wont be using no8 kebab again sadly.

Ordered their pizza meal 4 deal, chicken strips, a burger, Turkish bread and some extra chips. They called up saying they didn't have chicken strips and said they could replace it with pizza, so they gave us 2 small pizzas to replace it. When the delivery arrived I noticed there wasn't the drink that came with the deal, after asking the driver about it she gave me £1.50 back and offered to instead go back and get it - I turned it down as I didn't want to make her drive back and forth just for that. The pizzas were all delicious, we ended up with the no8 special, margharita and what one of the meat ones (not sure which one). I liked the margharita so much that I might just have that again even though the other ones were pretty tasty too. Their stuffed crust was also pretty good. The kebab was huge! It was nice to share out and have a bit each, the chilli sauce that came on it was very good. And all the meats felt fresh and tasty. The burger was pretty good too, would happily have that as a burger meal! Chips felt fresh, hot and tasty. They had a nice crisp to them. The Turkish bread was pretty tasty, worked well with the kebab. I would definitely go here again! I would have loved to put this up as 5 stars but missing the drink and not being able to have the chicken strips has caused me to leave 4 stars. I will change it next time I order though if everything goes right :) will definitely be going back!

I've been visiting No.8 for the past couple of months, ordering on average twice a week. I have therefore been quite a few times yet the standard has been so consistently high. Food so fresh every time. We love Turkish cuisine and have tried everything in the area and no 8 is not only the nicest but also best value Attention to detail on all dishes, salad is lovely not just an afterthought. Really well run place by nice people, would strongly recommend

Have heard many good things about this place - when we first went we really enjoyed it. We had a special made as when we got there we was absolutely starving but they looked after us. Massive portion size and absolute quality taste - chicken melted in my mouth. Always be going here next time I’m in the area again.

Ordered a couple of pizza's here the other day, probably the best pizza I've had in Daventry so far, my only gripe is they say buy one get one free on their pizza but it's not, a 16"pizza is around £11.80 on it's own but goes up to £18.90 on buy one get one free so it's more like buy one get one half price ish. Having said that it was absolutely delicious and will definitely be ordering from here in the future.
