Can't recommend No.8 Cafe enough. Friendly staff. Nice inside and out. Off the East Street so nice and secluded. I had the Little Breakfast - which was enough and very tasty. Every element well made and sourced. I especially like the mushroom with thyme, cooked for a perfect amount of time and not swimming in butter like usual. Bang on! Had a really nice coffee too. Go!

Popped in here for lunch on my work break, owner and fellow customers made me feel very welcome. Had what I can only describe as one of the best toasties I have ever had on fresh sour dough bread, and a home made slice of cake which was to die for! Would highly recommend to anyone in the area, you won’t get better service anywhere else!

On New Years Eve we found this little gem of a cafe tucked away and one of the few that day that was open for lunch. The owner was very friendly and welcoming given we were probably the last customers of the year! This is a great place - small and perfectly formed, it has everything you need from a cafe. All the other diners seemed to know each other and the owner so presume they were regulars which is a good sign. We enjoyed the coffee and the sandwich, soup and jacket potato. Will definitely be returning visitors. Highly recommend.

Ok so you know that old pair of shoes that just won’t throw away, or that armchair because you love the comfort, familiarity and security they provide. Well that’s this place. If you want to meet people from all walks of life what ever class. And if you want kind considerate service from local people and also learn about the area then you have to go here! This place is a hidden GEM and close guarded secret of the local people but as it’s only me and you reading it I’ll let you in on it lol! Honestly though Lucy’s (the young women who runs it) Toasties are famous in Blandford town. Everything here is either homemade or locally sauced and nothing’s to much trouble for these lovely people. If your visiting Blandford from out of town then head here for real authentic Dorset experience. The only downside is that it’s tucked up a little alley towards the bottom of the town so if you don’t know it’s there you’ll miss it. But when you fund it and taste the great food you wont, want to share it anyway it’s really that delicious. Try the Brie and bacon toasty on sourdough with chilli jam I’m a real fan.

I love this cafe. Lucy is welcoming, friendly and has great ideas for good combos. Her bacon and cheese sticks are seriously more-ish but nothing hits the spot like her cheese and chorizo toasties. Thank you!!

Went for a coffee and some brunch in number 8 after walking round blandford struggling to find somewhere that took my fancy. When I browsed across their menu I saw that they had an extensive brunch menu with lots of variety. When I walked into the cafe it was very clean and tidy and really welcoming especially from Dave the manger of the cafe who welcomed me in quickly and sat me down. We were quickly served by a member of staff named Lucy who took our drinks order whilst we made our decisions about what to have to eat. Once we decided we quickly called Lucy over to put in our order and just like that we were all done, I decided to go for a mozzarella and bacon toastie served with chilli jam which was made by Jayne the amazing baker and in house chef. The toastie was full of flavour and nicely toasted which was nice to see especially with the size of the toastie and the amount of filling inside. Overall I would rate the cafe 10/10 and would recommend a visit and might say it’s the best cafe in Dorset

We walked through town looking for a cafe when we came across a board for No 8 cafe. We could have missed it as we were about to turn around to walk back. I am very pleased we didn't. A small cafe but very clean, friendly staff and lovely food.

Very good friendly, efficient service in an easy atmosphere where you can chat to the local customers and proprietors and enjoy tasty, well prepared and presented food and drinks. The business is truly a family one and customers benefit from the thought, care and hard work that the proprietor and her family put into the business. The premises, cutlery and crockery are spotless.

We had flat whites and shared a piece of cake, which was a lemon and blueberry sponge. The coffee and cake were top notch and beautifully presented by Lucy, who also made the cake! It’s a small cafe, but well organised AND dog friendly; we plan to go back soon and sample the breakfast menu.

I've visited No.8 Cafe a few times and it is now one of my regular places to go for coffee. Toasted sandwiches are delicious and there's a good choice of homemade cake. The service is good, nice to be greeted by a friendly smiling face. Toilet is spotlessly clean. Definitely worth a visit.

No.8 may be one of Blandford's smaller cafes but it's big on quality, with delicious home made food and great service. Lucy always makes sure there's a warm welcome and has put a lot of thought into making sure there's something for everyone, including gluten free, veggie or vegan customers. This family-run cafe is one of our favourite places to go and is well-worth a visit.

I stopped at this rather hidden little cafe for lunch whilst visiting Blandford on a scorching hot day in May, the first time I have had a browse around this lovely town since the bypass was built. The menu is not vast but there should be something for everyone. I ordered brie, bacon and sweet chilli toastie with a cappuccino which came to a reasonable £6.70. The food was excellent and the service good.

Was passing by this quirky café and decided to give it a go one day last week. I received a lovely reception from the young lady behind the till and another lady working in there (after having a conversation I learnt they were mother and daughter). I ordered a latte which was bought to my table and I can honestly say this is the best coffee I have ever had! I was so impressed I visited again later in the week with my mother, we both decided to try one of the toasties and were amazed at how they tasted, they also came with a healthy lump of crisps-which is rather unusual in most cafes. I finished the toastie with a milkshake and absolutely adored the chocolatey taste!! What a lovely, friendly, family run café with great homemade food and service with a smile! would recommend to all ages as there is something on the menu for anyone! the only problem I now have is trying to decide what to have off the menu whenever I go there...

No. 8, is hands down the best café in Blandford, its beautifully decorated with great coffee. The toasties are amazing, and the homemade cakes really are divine. I wouldn't consider going to a different café after discovering No. 8. Lucy is incredibly friendly, and doing an amazing job. There are toys to distract the children which is a great benefit. Cannot wait to visit again!

A new little Cafe that has a lovely friendly atmosphere. The food is all freshly prepared and can highly recommend the home made cappacino cake and the chocolate brownies. The lattes are my favourite and the hot chocolate my children's favourite. Best latte I've had in a long while. Extremely clean.

A great cafe, busy in the morning with breakfast and coffees etc. Clearly well liked by the locals and visitors alike. We travelled almost 20 miles to have a lovely fresh breakfast here. The decor is fun especially the cruet - you need to visit to see! The staff were helpful and the service good. I recommend it and we will go again.

I love this Cafe. I usually have a coffee, and it's so enjoyable, but my love is cakes - and theirs are fabulous. A great price too. The owners are really friendly, and helpful. Plus, if you have a dog, they're allowed too. It's a lovely atmosphere.

I arrived in Shaftesbury Friday afternoon and this was the first cafe I saw. Excellent choice of snacks, lunches, cakes etc. The peanut butter and banana milkshake is a must have!! I visited this cafe for lunch (& milkshake) each day during my short stay. Hope to visit this area again next year.

Eye wateringly expensive if you need to buy something to take home for lunch. 3 slices of quiche £22.50. Only 50p each less than having it heated on a plate with salad. Arrrgh.
