I've been going here regularly for about 3 years now, and there's a reason why. The staff are friendly, their taste in background music is good, and their milkshakes are the best I've ever had

Sat outside, Saturday lunchtime, had a toastie on sourdough, lovely. Really good friendly staff, now stocking Australian ingredients and food. Bought some chicken salt which we find hard to get so a great asset, love this place

Very lovely little place, I got a mocha and the pancakes which were homemade with ricotta and they were GORGEOUS. Staff were lovely and it was a quiet atmosphere so I could read my book. Loved it and will be going back if I'm ever in the area

We are visiting from Australia, my wife is picky about her coffee & so far this is the best she has had whilst in England. Also had a few items for sale we recognised from back home (bbq shapes, caramello koalas, chokito bars & chicken salt plus others!). Friendly staff, would recommend!

If you’re looking for a coffee shop with fabulous pastries and staff this is it !? The team were very friendly and explained all the different pastries - I simply wouldn’t have been able to make up my mind otherwise!! We sat inside but they also have a little tent addition that looked great and we are going to have to come back!! Some cute dogs inside too which is a bonus

The coffee is excellent, and I am very fussy! Lovely warm atmosphere and friendly staff. Enclosed outdoor patio with heaters and blankets, fully outside area and indoor area. Very child and family friendly.

Disappointing visit, heard great reviews so wanted to visit. Parking was an issue, very busy. Parked half a mile away and walked in. Lovely set up, friendly welcome. Placed our order and waited. Two coffees arrived, but then waited over half an hour for food. Ordered two more coffees while we waited and asked how much longer, said they would check. Watched as others arriving after us were served food. Waited several more minutes, no food or the additional coffees. Had an appointment so couldn't wait any longer. Went to pay for the coffees, noticed all items were on our bill, but the chef had no orders for us. To be fair we were let off the two coffees we had but no explanation for not receiving our food or further coffees. Starving hungry and no time to eat !!!! 😫

Great coffee but really enjoy their dark hot chocolate (milk chocolate a bit too sweet for me). BLTs are very tasty and not over mayo'd. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Visited this cafe on a very hot day in June 2023,and wasn't impressed.A piece of tray bake costs just under five pounds! Total extortion! The latte was served luke warm,we had a frappe but that was mostly ice and there's three choices of sitting area,s.(inside with strange chip board interior)or outside under a sweaty canopy with no fans! Or down a dangerous step to be fully outside at front of cafe.I can't see what all the fuss is about with this cafe? I will never return to be ripped off again.

Super find a few steps from the Stray and in a quiet residential area where you’d only expect to find a hairdresser and corner shop (both of which are next door). Nice menu, great coffee, great presentation with friendly and quick service. Hoping for more of the same from the second Brew Bar opening on Royal Parade, Harrogate in June.

I contacted Brew Bar looking for a small venue for a baby shower. From the first message they couldn't have been more helpful, the team were incredible in tailoring the event, the space was perfect and we had an amazing time. Cannot recommend the place enough for a small event or just a coffee and delicious cake....just perfect!

Limited menu. Overpriced. Overcooked. Cold both in temperature and ambience. Certainly didn't hit the spot we expected. Very disappointing experience.

Bold title maybe, but this is a fantastic place to have coffee and a light lunch. Excellent service, quality food and drinks. Quality independent places like this are worth supporting over the chains. Example: my 6 year old received a reply from Santa here when he posted his Xmas letter there a few weeks back - he was so pleased with it, made his day. And that’s exactly why I personally rate Brew Bar as best coffee shop in Harrogate.

It worth going to.just for the coffee it beats likes of Costa coffee,cafe Nero and Betty's hands down for an independent coffee shop.the coffee is excellent

Service is friendly & efficient. The menu is varied with fresh ingredients - baked goods and bread used are excellent quality. No tasteless supermarket bread sandwiches here. The atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly. All of this keeps us coming back at least once if not more times a week. If we lived round the corner we’d be there every day. Continuing success to all the team.

A great independent coffee shop which cares for its customers and the coffee is great too! My only comment would be to have some Gluten Free options available as would love to have lunch here but happy to just stop off for a coffee. Also love it’s dog friendly.

Lovely immaculate, trendy local cafe full of artisan delights. Very quirky and dog friendly, however the undercover seated area is more suited to dogs with water available. Not the cheapest by a long shot, but high quality and well presented food. Friendly and welcoming, my only irk would be the difficulty to deviate from the menu. I asked for onion adding and was told it couldn't be done. After a lengthy discussion and me feeling a bit of a nuisance they eventually said they had found a brown onion, by which time I had chosen something else. Wasn't life or death and didn't spoil my meal, I just felt awkward. However... I highly recommend.

Sean was a delight, he certainly knows the customer is right. Lovely spot for breakfasts. Good quality and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff are cheerful and accommodating. Can't recommend it enough. Will definitely be back

Knew this coffee shop was here and finally managed to call in today whilst out with the dog in the sunshine. A big thumbs up from me for being dog friendly and a big paws up from the mutt for the nice biscuit treat he received! Great hot chocolate (it was hot and not lukewarm like a lot of coffee house chains) and cake to go with it. It’s open till 4pm too for those afternoons when you don’t quite get out as early as you would like to.

We visited today for the first time, myself, husband, daughter and our little dog after enjoying a walk on The Stray. The owner was lovely and accommodated us all straight away. We ordered drinks and cake and my daughter said the Creme Egg milkshake was amazing as was everything. The owner was lovely and even gave our dog some treats too and a free Schnauzer biscuit to give my mum who has 2 miniature Schnauzer dogs. Really nice and friendly place and will definitely recommend to others.

Ordered food and coffee a while ago and felt ill afterwards but didn't think much of it. My friend went in today and ordered both of us a mocha but it tasted a bit off and we both felt really ill afterwards again. However, the food was great.

Me, my partner and our French bulldog regularly visit brew bar. We have used brew bar for both eat in and take away and both are always fantastic. I always get a chai latte and my partner gets a cappuccino and we both agree that they're by far the best hot drinks in Harrogate. The food is amazing, the sour dough bread used for the BLT is soft and warm and so fresh. Everything here is so nice from the food and drinks to the decor and staff. We are always greeted with a smile and made to feel welcome. Our dog is always given a treat too. So good I felt the need to leave a review. Thanks, Kelly. Xx

Needed a location on outskirts of Harrogate town centre for a lunchtime business meeting , needed to avoid centre due to car parking costs . Parked outside no problem , and had an enjoyable 2 hour meeting sat outside under the heaters and cover , staff were brilliant attentive happy and nothing too much trouble , coffees were excellent having had several cups , menu not extensive but interesting and varied served hot and tasty Really ticked all the boxes , could not manage a cake but will certainly be back as looked homemade and not the normal run of the mill , with some interesting cakes Great to see a little independent coffee shop flourishing , and service with a smile

Friendly staff. Busy place. Had run out of food on the menu 😪 coffee served in small cup and pricey for what we got. It was after 1pm. I ordered a cappucino and the only mains available - fish in a bun. The fish was nicely cooked but it was food to forget.

This is a great local coffee bar and rather than but a treat from the co-op opposite I decided to support this local business, i was shocked at the £4.25 price for a single portion of 'cake' but the oversized cardboard box might push the price up..... but i thought no problem... its a treat... but its not really a treat and was a difficult eat due to the chocolate paste in the middle. sorry for the bad review.

I only popped in to get a takeaway coffee (Americano). The coffee was great. It was nice and smooth and had a slight sweetness to the taste while not being overly bitter like you might get at some of the big chains. Although I didn't try them this time, the cakes looked great so I'd definitely be tempted by them next time I'm on the area!

Love this gem. This is our Saturday go to place for a run and then chat and breakfast with a cup of tea. Great coffee, great food, great service! Its the place to meet!

Lovely breakfast and coffee place. Decor inside was rustic and welcoming. Staff were very attentive and the food was wonderful. Plenty of option to choose from and overall a lovely experience. Although we didn’t venture out it had a lovely outside space as well!

Brew Bar is the jewel in the crown of coffee shops. Immaculate, stylish, relaxed setting to catch up with friends or even do a bit of work. The coffee and hot chocolate are always hot and delish and the food is presented beautifully and tastes incredible. Simon the owner runs a slick operation meaning you never have to wait, and he ALWAYS has the biggest of smiles for his customers. Utterly fabulous!

Lovely cafe space with an outdoor area. Food and drink was exceptionally good as well. Ordered the gingerbread latte, which was great and very different. Has enough space to fit a push chair if you are out and about with a child.

We came here for breakfast as we were staying in accommodation nearby. The place looked great on the Google photos and reviews, with a reasonably priced menu and a good range. Staff were super friendly when we arrived and got us seated inside as we wished. We ordered pastries and a soya latte each. The croissant wasn't great when it arrived, clearly not fresh as it was very chewy, although when I raised this with staff they were so accommodating and warmed it up for me, which made it a bit better and was able to enjoy it. Coffee was lovely, I've worked as a barista and this was clearly professionally made, good quality beans and barista standard soya milk, so 10/10. The biggest downfall was the price. When we came to pay the total was £12 something. The croissant and pain au chocolat alone had cost us £3.20 each! Honestly ridiculous prices which we haven't even seen in London. We'd paid half the price for the same items, and better quality, the previous morning at another local coffee shop. A real shame as otherwise would have no problem recommending this place.

Brew Bar is a lovely coffee shop. I think it is perhaps in a slightly unexpected location in that it's quite a residential area however it's well worth seeking out even just for a take away.

A favourite place for a coffee -either with or without my two dogs. The staff are always friendly and welcoming , it feels very Covid safe but more importantly , the coffee is truly excellent! They have a great choice of drinks and some delicious goodies - I love the granola bar topped with chocolate -yum! So glad that you've managed to thrive during these uncertain times .

Lovely coffee and great selection of cakes and snacks. The vegan options seem to sell out too quickly but can’t fault them for making the effort to have a vegan selection! Friendly staff too. Great place!

The food is average the setting is nice and homely. Sam personally I guess is quite rude. He never have conversed with me if anything made me feel out of place.

Nice location by the park. Staff are lovely people. Had some nice food to take away. Whilst waiting they made sure my dog had a biscuit too. So it's a winner.

I have used Brew Bar on many occasions and I am so impressed with how they are managing the current restrictions on seating, spacing and serving in this current climate. These times are just so difficult for small independent businesses trying to survive let alone thrive. Its true that it may not be what you were use to if you visited them before now, they have had to implement so many changes just to reopen and trade, but all businesses as well as their customers have been affected by C-19. We are all in this together. The staff are doing an amazing job at dealing with the changes as well as the customers stresses. Well done Brew Bar.

My husband, daughter, grandchildren & I visited this coffee shop for lunch today. The owner came outside where we were waiting & said he had no tables to fit our party size inside & there was only one table that could accommodate us outside & it was occupied. We were slightly taken aback by his attitude as it did not appear as if we were being encouraged to wait, but we decided to wait to see if the one table that suited our size would become available. After about 15 mins he came out again with an option inside, but we realised that the outside table would soon be free & we got it. We ordered soup & paninis - the soup was lukewarm & the paninis were hard but passable. We ordered coffees & tray bakes & they were good. The staff (female) were very pleasant & made up for the owner’s attitude. I am sorry to say that as frequent visitors to Harrogate, we will not be frequenting this establishment again. There are too many good places in Harrogate where our custom is appreciated.
