After we arrived at the restaurant, there was no one at the reception, we looked at the menu by ourselves, and when we wanted to order their signature buns, they told me that they were no longer making them. We changed to fried noodles and some stir-fried vegetables, and then we waited for a full hour before seeing our food. During this period, some guests and deliverymen came, but no one greeted them. Many guests left after waiting for 4-5 minutes. I don’t know why a restaurant can have no signature food and receptionists, and it takes 1 hour to eat food, and the taste of the food really can’t calm our mood. It’s really a bad experience.

Chicken and prawn I loved it prawn somewhat oil however chicken ball very on the fried batter don't use more oil it's not gud for health. I squeeze in hands more oil SO Use Air fryer also it's gud for aged people some people have a diabetes problem.

Placed order with uber eats, it was then cancelled after over an hour. I called the restaurant and they said it was almost ready and they would deliver themselves. Half an hour later I called again, they said they were delivering now and that we would need to pay cash on arrival. We then had to walk to a cash point. We then waiting almost 40 minutes more and still didn't have the order. I called again and they said the driver had just left the shop, it had been well over 2 hours. I asked on the phone if we have a discount since we had waited so long and they agreed we would pay £30 instead of £47. The order arrived and the driver said he would only discount the order by £3, my partner then sent them away. The food would have been sat there for at least an hour before even getting to us. What's worse is its my partners birthday and this was a treat.

My order was delayed by 40 minutes, and this was my first time ordering from here. Never doing it again.

The food made me feel ill afterwards. It was very greasy and I will be making a complaint regarding their hygiene practices.

Authentic and good cheap Chinese. I had the Pork and Bean Curd with a spring roll pancake; good stuff and not the sort of thing you get in many places. 5 stars. If you are interested in ambience this is not for you. If you are interested in real Chinese food look no further.

All the loves goes to making the food, just like I had expected when I walked into this poorly decorated, owner operated, restaurant. It was my 1st time in Birmingham and I was on the hunt for quality and authentic Chinese food and No.1 Chinese Cafe delivered.

Didnt get order on 28 10 22 . Ordered at 20.09 rang and rang no answer constantly calling . No order delivered shocked always had delivery nothing at 23 .33 still Calling no answer.

Usually pretty good, but we ordered today and the food showed up over an hour late, with all of the mains and sauces missing, so we only had some bing, chicken balls and prawn toast delivered. Unfortunately I think this is more an issue with the delivery driver than the restaurant itself but it’s still not acceptable, as this isn’t the first time I’ve had issues with JustEat deliveries for this restaurant specifically

Very disappointed in the food I ordered last night Singapore chow mein only had chicken in and 1 small prawn where it should be mixed meats including king prawns 👎 bbq spare ribs, nice and meaty but sauce very bland no taste at all 👎 and curry sauce very salty so sorry to say I will not be ordering from there again as it was my first and definitely my last.

Do not eat here if you want good Chinese food. Spare some more money for quality food than feel weird in your stomach. Trust me, if you're looking for good Chinese food, look somewhere else. The guy charged me more than the prices on Menu until I pointed out and then he realised his mistake. A dubious practice. Not good.

It took 3 hrs to deliver an order..they are so busy they made their customers wait 3 hrs and uber eats allows it..think before you order from them

Excellent. Always clean, the staff are polite and the food is great. They do 'English' Chinese on a separate menu and if you want something more authentic they help you choose.

I shared the first photo with the restaurant, and no apology was issued so I felt it necessary to share my experience. I was unable to eat this dish for the amount of oil present. The other dish was edible other than the dried burnt chilli's

Delicious authentic homemade Chinese food. We had the bāozi 包子 and Bing. Also tried the soy milk which was freshly prepared. Having lived in Birmingham for almost 2 years I regret not coming here sooner. I highly recommend to give it a try and you won’t be disappointed. Many options for delivery and takeaway.

great food at a great price - friendly owners too

Best homemade steamed bun in Brummie, 1GBP for a big one. Many stir fried dish options less for around 7GBP. If you are a spicy food lover, try their Sichuan fried chicken!

Chicken chow mein was pretty average but the house special Szechuan was very good.

Great hospitality and very authentic chinese food. Everytime I visit brum I'll eat here. Highly recommend.

Quick efficient service and good value for money

I only purchased a chicken chow main which was reasonably priced, especially when I realised how big the portion was. Customer service was great, the only constructive criticism I have is that it's badly in need of a spruce up.

Not terrible, not great. Definitely needs some kind of renovation, I saw no one inside and I wouldn't eat in their myself either. Had a takeaway from Just Eat. Collected it 15 mins early and was ready for me! (Probably a bad thing if you were to collect it on time) and the food was okay. Nothing great but not too bad. In the meantime I've found a much better restaurant but if you're in the city centre and want to collect a Chinese takeaway this is the only one I could find other than the Chinese quarter

Ordered two food items and a drink, delivered late and then the order was wrong. I called them to tell them it was wrong and they told me I can have it next time I order because the driver didn’t want to drive back. The driver called me and was on the phone huffing and complaining to me that he has to drive back. Eventually he said he would bring my correct order after waiting for ages on the phone to him and then having to wait an additional half an hour for my correct order, the rest of my food was freezing.

I ordered food for delivery waited two hours for it to arrive! As you can imagine the food arrived cold. Food was absolutely vile I wouldn't even feed it to my dog!

Not from Birmingham went to the theatre and after needed food was recommended by someone in the street, service was brill and food was amazing the chips and beef/chicken chow meins were amazing, better then are Chinese in Stafford, Thankyou

food was cooked nice but would'nt deliver to my door in tower block. had to go down to fetch it myself downstairs
