A total of 5 of us booked for Sunday lunch and were accommodated in a private dining room, which itself was very pleasant. However, of the 3 scotch eggs ordered, only 2 were available. The roast chicken was not available at all. That apart, the most frustrating element concerned the pannacotta desserts. Two were ordered and both were deemed to be of strange taste and texture, and were left largely uneaten. The waitress was told this and she went to confer. When she came back she said that she had tasted them and thought they were fine, and indeed the chef had reportedly told her that that was how they were. 'As an gesture of goodwill' she deducted the cost of 1 from the bill. The bill came to over £250, additionally 2 of our party were staying at the hotel and furthermore an absent family member had bought a bottle of champagne separately for us to enjoy with the meal. All that, and they could only reduce the bill by £9.50! To my mind a more appropriate thing to do would be to have offered an alternative dessert or deducted the cost of both, rather than the waitress just telling us her opinion.

An excellent meal served by friendly and motivated staff. Our second visit and we were pleased we went back as we are not local. I have to say I was surprised to see a recent complaint about the cancellation policy. Why do people think restaurants are unlike airlines or theatres? Try missing a flight or a performance and getting a refund!

Three of us arrived for dinner on Sunday a tad worse for wear but were greeted warmly by the friendly and attentive staff. Love the decor and the good vibe. The staff couldn't do enough for us, we are truly grateful. The filet steak was immense, not sure what we drank but it must have been good. Will definitely visit again.

I had to cancel my reservation due becoming ill and luckily realised in time, that there is a 48 hr cancellation policy which would have charged me £200. I let them know the fee was high to which they emailed me saying “they’re glad I wasn’t coming” Their professionalism exceeds their extortion! I congratulate every other hospitality business in North Norfolk for trusting people to do the right thing. The two stars I gave the review is for the pleasant drinks I’ve had many times as a regular customer in the bar area but I won’t be going back again

Having read a previous review, and subsequent response, my husband friend and I approached this experience with some trepidation. Talk of a " death trap well" and "gaping hole" , (possibly infested with alligators), in the courtyard meant we had to be on our guard. We even considered dressing in a "Raiders of the lost ark" style just in case one of us needed to step in and save the unwary. There was even a whisper that Tom Cruise might be lurking in the vicinity just in case he needed to attempt another "Mission Impossible" . Imagine our surprise when all we encountered was truly excellent food served by an excellent team in gorgeous surroundings. Reader, you need fear nothing! (As an aside the well and gaping hole were so small, highly guarded, and beautifully decorated that we struggled to find it! You will love this place.

The quality of this Bar and Restaurant with Rooms is consistently outstanding, exceeding our expectations with every visit we make. I could continue my review along the same path using all the cliche and expected things we should say like professionalism and customer service second to none, highly recommended, ,ambience inviting, staff highly skilled etc etc. Whilst all of that is true there is so so much more to this gem of a place. I’ve frequented many bars , hotels and restaurants in my 47 years but there are a mere few that I can’t wait to return to as soon as I leave. I’ll start really by applauding and high-fiving every member of the 29 team, from housekeeping to kitchen hand, servers to bar staff. Combined, they all play a huge role in the success of this place and the experience. The attention to detail cannot go unnoticed, immaculate interiors, stylishly selected furnishings, perfect glassware and dinnerware. It’s all executed with thought and consideration. From ornate to quirky, every corner of the building starts conversation or perhaps an excuse for a shameful outfit pic in the toilets banging selfie mirror…. Guilty as charged The bedrooms ooze class mixed with fun and comfort, complimentary cocktail and truffles while you soak in your roll top bath filled with noble isle rhubarb and rhubarb bubbles?…..don’t mind if I do !! The Restaurant is simply Amazing every time. To watch the team create dish after dish with so much flare and passion is a privilege and that’s why we continue to sing your praises and keep returning. ALTHOUGH, Jay asks if he can have the epic looking crispy chicken tenders he saw the team eating for lunch please? 😂 No29 just has that vibe…the one you can sit comfortably in, the one where time doesn’t matter, the place that ticks all the boxes. Lastly… their amazing wine list and drinks menu puts many to shame and I’m almost positive on several occasions has put me to shame too. But with that considered, in 2020 my husband and I entered as strangers and I think I can say, with confidence, that we leave as friends. To Tim, Kat, Dan, Lydia, Julian, Ellie, Logan, Charlie and so many more of you….we thank you all for all that you do. Cheryl & Jay

We have been coming to No.Twenty9 for many years now and think is is incredible every time we come. The staff are amazing and cannot do enough for us. We were at No.Twenty9 for Zebb Roots & FYA over the bank holiday weekend and once again it was organised amazingly well. The music was fantastic and so was the atmosphere on the Friday. We then returned to No.Twenty9 on Sunday for food and drinks, once again it was amazing! My partner and I always say how much we love the place and we are already excited for our next visit in October! It is a pleasure to be able to visit and call Tim, Liam & the rest of the family good friends of ours. Thank you again, we look forward to seeing you soon! James & Michaela.

Food good but don’t go near the well in the garden as it’s a ridiculous death trap for anything valuable or little fingers!! I lost my glasses which were blown off my table and slid down the gap. We spoke to the staff who barely acknowledged the massive void in their garden right next to customers! They should cover this up properly it’s a huge hazard!!

Had a meal here Friday night who I booked with Tim the owner who was so courteous and professional over the phone. We’ve had to be one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten, Dan looked after us from start to finish in the orangery such knowledge on the cheese board.......and was a great restaurant manager. The food was sublime and everyone who greeted us was friendly and professional. This restaurant is one of a kind with an amazing array of Hollywood actors and actresses on the pictures. “Great table talkers” ........from the moment you walk in you’re greeted like royalty. Everyone is so eager to help you and welcome you with open arms. For me service and food are number 1 and this restaurant with all ite detail and professionalism makes it the best restaurant in Burnham Market. I recommend to book as this place is very busy m.

We managed to get a table at this very busy restaurant last Friday evening, the courtyard is just fantastic, large olive trees, vintage signs, umbrellas & live fire patio heaters dotted around, the service was exceptional, to be honest it was just like sitting in a very good restaurant just outside, everything was done as it should be, we were taken to & seated at our table, drinks menu presented, etc. The menu wes great! A kind of relaxed outdoor dining style & all cooked on fire outside with big green eggs, a pizza oven & a huge steel fire pit. Our meal consisted of sticky, apple & Bourbon ribs, some lovely charred asparagus with smoked salmon, the most flavoursome steak I have eaten for years & a selection of garlicky-lemon butter seafood followed by desserts consisting of chocolate mouse sphere & a lovely pistachio & raspberry tart. We had a bottle of wine which was still served correctly even though so many places in the area are using takeaway containers & plastic glasses! I would highly recommend anyone to try number 29 for it has absolutely got the ‘outside dining only’ rule 100% spot on, I can only imagine how good it will be once they are open fully inside again. The staff were clearly happy to be working and giving the customers lots of attention, Even the chefs seemed happy to chat & interact with customers! Well done number 29

Twenty9 is a fantastic asset to the village. Visiting regularly since it opened the food and service just keep on improving. It is now a slick operation, the service and staff are excellent as is the food, although the porn-star martinis should have a health warning attached . The bakery next door is a great addition, incredible jam doughnuts.

I live on the coast in North Norfolk and there is stiff competition when it comes to dining options, over the years I have experienced good and bad meals from different establishments . When it comes to Roast Im quite particular, I can now say after experiencing the roast at No. Twenty9 that its the best roast dinner I have had in a North Norfolk Restaurant.

I have dined at all of the best restaurants in the world, and Burnham Market is my second home - I've been coming to Burnham since I was in nappies. Since the late great Paul Whittome lost his life to cancer, the Hoste Arms has become pretentious and stuck-up, and it has plummeted in just about every way, so Burnham was in need of a new restaurant. I love burgers.... I have to say, the Burger at 29 is very good... I especially enjoyed the rich, sticky chutney at the bottom of the burger.

Excellent dog friendly cafe. Friendly staff, good selection of reasonably priced food, including vegetarian and vegan options. Our dog loved the home baked dog biscuits.

Great spot for some vegan ice cream/sorbet. My little boy is anaphylactic to dairy and was very cautious about eating any when he was looking at the different flavours (there were 4 for him to choose from). The lady quickly realised he was upset and got some fresh utensils out to reassure him and he gladly accepted it! It's finally nice to know we can take him somewhere and he can join in! We'll definitely be back. Thank you for making an allergy child feel included x

It’s lovely inside, so much to look at and things for sale too. I ordered a sausage egg and bacon roll. It was quite big! It came on a warm plate and the meat was from priors butchers. The teapots and crockery were vintage, loved them. I saw they catered well for gluten free and vegetarian options too. The cafe is dog friendly so as a dog lover, sitting by the door was fun to greet them as they came in. Can’t fault the food, parking, and all the lovely things to look at. I think it could be made more cosy by maybe putting up small partitions/ trellis in some areas maybe. They had a large selection of amazing cakes too!
