Café No 65 is awful. I recently visited this café for morning coffee; it was a truly horrible experience. The fatty smell when I entered was disgusting and, had I not been with a friend, I would have exited immediately without ordering or even sitting down. The tables were dirty with rims of grease and they were sticky. The entire place was narrow and incredibly cluttered; no effort had been made to think about space between tables and customer comfort. The waiting staff had to squeeze past customers because it was so narrow and I felt as if I was sharing a table with other customers because of the layout which is focused on squeezing as many people as possible into a small space - talk about quantity over quality. The coffee was too expensive and average (nothing special). I struggled to drink it owing to the smell of the café. I had a glass of tap water and the glass smelt of egg. I would not return here.

Caters for regulars, but not for new visitors to the area, felt a bit like Pooh in a swimming pool. The larger lady in her early 40’s needs to have some customer services training, pig ignorant is an understatement. The only thing that saves this cafe is the food, it is outdated, cramped and not clean, the floor is slippy with grease.

Really friendly and efficient service with beautiful food. Food was brought out quickly despite how busy it was and was piping hot and cooked to perfection. The coffee was steaming hot with nice chocolate sprinkles. I had the English breakfast which was beautiful and the sausages were amazing, no wonder the place was so busy. I would definitely recommend it to anyone for either take away or eating in. 100 percent worth a visit.

Went in for lunch, as it came recommended. Front Staff welcoming, but the food was awful. Asked for a Panini, well unsure what i got. The worst food ever, totally burnt. I mean Charcoal burnt. How they had the cheek to even wrap it up and hand it over. If ordering take out, check your food before you leave.

Once of a day No 65’s was the place to be for a lovely cooked breakfast and welcoming staff. With the food still being a solid 10/10 I unfortunately couldn’t say the same for the front of house staff. Rude, unwelcoming and too busy serving themselves or chatting about their drunken weekends. No warm welcoming when entering and waiting at least 15 minutes to order a coffee or food. My partner and I visit this cafe at least once a month for a treat. 12 months back the original staff where welcoming, helpful, chatty and lovely to be around. Now you just get stared at as if you were invisible. With the cafe being quite small (yet homey decor) you can hear everything that the staff are chatting about for example answering personal phone calls behind the counter, swearing and shouting down the phone for all to hear. Not exactly what you’d expect when you’re going out for breakfast. I would say the beautiful food is the only thing that keeps us going back.

I’ve just walked passed this coffee shop on my own while visiting the area. I saw a sign outside that said A WARM WELCOME AWAITS. I thought this might be a nice place to go on my own. I went inside and went up to the counter, as I was unsure whether it was table service or counter service. A young chap and middle aged woman with purple hair were chatting behind the counter. A customer was trying to manoeuvre a pram in a very small space and we were all somewhat hemmed in. I was ignored for 5 minutes, then the chap eventually asked me what I wanted. I originally wanted a coffee and cake or toasted tea cake or something similar, but I was made to feel very unwelcome. Eventually I said I’d have my coffee to take away, as the situation was embarrassing. I turned to walk out and was knocked by woman with pram and spilled half my coffee. I was again ignored. No space at all. Unpleasant staff. Do not recommend.

Called in today for a light lunch. It is situated on the main shopping street and is quite small and narrow and can get a bit warm in the summer. It was fairly busy when we arrived so the table needed clearing and wiping. We had to ask for this. The service was not as good as our first visit and we found the waitress a little surly. We ordered sandwiches and cold drinks which were fine and reasonably priced.

This is a small queirky cafe on the high street, There are a number of cafes to choose from and while this one does not look that inviting with its small shop front it is well worth a visit. It is an old cottage so the inside is not large and I would recommend sitting In the front where there is more room, the back is quite narrow with lots of tables close together. There is plenty of choice on the menu and I would recommend the home made soup. The staff are friendly too and the food very reasonable.

Now then to the cakes , all homemade by the owner Chocolate fudge cake , Chocolate Eclaires , Lemon cake , Manchester tart , as authentic as you will ever Taste Deep and delicious topped with coconut , The deep filled Egg Custard tart is very popular with Customers in fact the best you will ever taste as unlike most Custard pies it is presented as a piece of a large custard tart , so you are not overfaced with thick soggy pastry , as is in most places with the added bonus of freshly ground nutmeg , There are also a selection of ice cream sundaes or just a plain ice cream , Anyone with food allergies are also catered for , you just have to mention this as this is a important part of the service , 65s is the nicest coffee shop anyone could wish to visit besides it being A Family run establishment , the Staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble to anyone .

Visited the restaurant in the morning for brunch, struggled to find a table that didnt have someones left over food on it, although the cafe was not particularly busy.Once seated, was able to place my order quickly and indeed served within a reasonable time. There is a good selection of dishes available for both breakfast and lunch etc. My simple selection of scrambled eggs and bacon on toast with mushrooms on the side was passable, the eggs being overcooked and dry.I lingered in the cafe and browsed the morning paper and was astonished that no one collected or cleaned the dirty tables for at least an hour! This was not only unsightly for other customers but actually deterred other people from staying on after entering the cafe. There was ample staff there to do so,but i guess they didnt think that it was a priority. The relatively new owner needs to address the situation with the staff or business will suffer for sure. In conclusion i cannot recommend this cafe especially as there are several options on the same road.

No 65 was always our first stop when visiting longridge a quirky little cafe that offers free top ups and produces beautiful food. Sadly on our last visit this was not the case Disappointed is the only way I can describe it . It appears to be under new management and as a result felt slightly chaotic the crashing sound from the kitchen didn't help and sadly its unique atmosphere appeared to have disappeared only to be replaced with that of an average everyday cafe .

Mad busy, being a saturday morning, but we had a nice breakfast. A few of the little finishing touches were missing, as in we were asked if we wanted beans or mushrooms and asked for beans but ended up with neither, we weren't asked if we'd like any sauces etc which leads to a slightly disappointing bacon butty. Other than that, a nice ambiance, if a little squashed when full and I reckon at a quieter time it would be really lovely. Fab kids hot chocolate too!

I visited the Pavillion cafe on Sunday for some lunch. I have a severe nut allergy (anaphylaxis) and therfore made the server aware when ordering our food. I asked for the fish and chips and she seemed very unsure so went to check with the kitchen which was good. After making me aware that nuts were used in the kitchen however were not used in any of the fryers I decided to go ahead with the order. However, before our food arrived she came back over to ask if I had my epipen on me which obviously made me feel very uncomfortable and unsafe eating there. Therefore, when the food arrived I didn’t feel safe to eat it and had to give it to my partner. As an allergy sufferer I was very disappointed in the handling of the situation as every restaurant/cafe I have visited in recent years have been very educated on allergies and have been very reassuring and taken it seriously: checking if anyone has any allergies on ordering, providing ingredient lists and making staff aware which meals need to be prepared with more care etc. I am only writing this review in the hope that staff here become better trained on how to handle customers with allergies as I feel they were not at the standard they should be. I do not want to but a negative view on the cafe as the food looked lovely and my partner did enjoy the food.
