Pizza was really good but the curry and rice in one was alot of salty rice 90% with a small amount of chicken korma curry

This was our first time ordering delivery from No 1, and wow! It did not disappoint at all. The food was so delicious, fresh, just perfect. We ordered the cheese and garlic Naan, the No1 special with chicken, and the King Prawn Palak, definitely recommend 👌🏻 will be ordering from here again.

The curries were incredibly greasy, although they did taste nice and the chicken was good. The pakora were stale and hard. Chips were great as was salad. Juice was missing.

I never write reviews but this restaurant blew me away. The munchy box and pizza came really hot and it’s worth it for what you are paying. Most places which do a munchy box do not do enough or the chips are soggy and everything is too greasy but this place is 10/10 ⭐️⭐️

Was staying in a hotel nearby for a couple nights and decided to try this takeaway which did not disappoint, got the korma, mixed meat hoagie and chicken pakora which was all lovely and fresh with the dips included, staff were really friendly. If I'm even in the area again I'll be back

real rogahn josh not a bogstandered sauce use in every dish like some and a nice smilly dilvery man and when I mucked up mu order they where quick to correct it over the phone with no quiames and the price was great too

I never have a problem with this place the food is always nice and hot / fresh. pizza is always nice. if I had to pick something to be negative it would be for the fries it would be better to have normal chips.

Have ordered many times from No.1 Takeaway and the food has always been standard and as expected. However, this time around when ordering the pizza was better than it has been for the last couple times! Also, the delivery was super quick and the guy greeted me with a smile. Would recommend if you need some good fatty food to fill you up. :)

No. 1 takeaway is the G O A T . They were the first takeaway we got when we moved here, and they’ve been incredible every time. That first order will forever live on in mine and my flatmates’ memories ❤️ The staff are the kindest, loveliest people with great conversation and they have always treated us incredibly well. I ordered from Just Eat and forgot to change my address, and my number was incorrect on the app. When I called to check up on the order, they told me the in-house delivery person had been waiting outside for 20 minutes, and tried to call me five times. After apologising, the delivery person drove up to the incorrect address again until I realised why I couldn’t see anyone outside. When I called up No.1 again to inform them of the situation, the person on the line was, somehow, still empathetic! We got the order changed to the accurate address and I tried to tip the driver well for all his trouble and for the rest of the staff. After all this, the driver asked us if we were students and refused the money! He said he knew that every penny counts, and didn’t want to take our tip. I’ll still find a way to get it to them because they really deserve it for having to put up with customers like us 😩 To conclude, number 1 is incredible and their onion bhajis are banging 😤😤😤 I look forward to seeing them after my next late shift and I hope that the owner is able to make the renovations he wants to ❤️❤️❤️ big up no 1!!!!

The partner of the delivery driver threw a tub of sauce from their car window into the street where I live. They literally littered the street where I live, this kind of behaviour is ridiculous.

I had told the restaurant I only had a £50 note after placing my order (I called them) which they said was fine I then had to wait for someone to come with change before being allowed to eat my food which buy the time they arrived with change my food was cold

We had a good experience at the store. The man who took our orders was nice and pizza was ready within 15 minutes. I am not really a fan of No 1 Pizza, but the customer service was great, hence the 5 stars

I recently ordered takeout from No.1 Takeaway and was blown away by the quality of the food and the service. The food was absolutely delicious! I ordered the chicken curry and it was cooked to perfection with just the right balance of seasoning and spices. The garlic naan was perfectly cooked and had just the right amount of garlic flavor. The texture was soft and fluffy on the inside with a crispy exterior, making it the perfect accompaniment the curry.

Do yourself a favor and taste their food. The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your taste. The food is absolutely amazing – Absolutely the best meal we had while in Edinburgh. Highly recommend! Best take away 🌟

The taste of food here is the best I can say as the quality and cleanliness is at its best in No.1 take away. Especially naan with chicken bhuna curry is the one everyone must try here. The staff is also so polite in there. I definitely recommend this takeaway for anyone.

Ordered chicken burger meal with fries and can. Food was hot and delivered quickly, but didn't receive the can and the chicken burger was a beef burger.

I normally want to darins, never ! Again, they messed me up big time , & time is money & they're not getting mine again!... Best munchy box I’ve had. The kebab meat was fresh and tasty, none of that hard stuff. The chicken pakoras, veggie pakoras and bhaji’s were awesome. The fries cooked good too. Only complaint was the two sauces I received were a tad small but other than that, brilliant!

Had the garlic chicken for a change and it was beautiful thank you will definitely order again

Food was absolutely poor, fries tasted horrible and very dry, salad was absolutely shocking wouldn’t even give a child that portion of salad It states on the kababs comes with salad sauce and a can of juice and this didn’t come with juice! Food would be absolutely lovely if your portion sizes were better 😞 can’t believe I waisted money on this

Amazing food and well worth a visit!

I got the munchy box and was really disappointed. The fries and doner meat were cold and unsalted. The onion bhaji was a bit too spicy for my taste, which I don't blame the restaurant for, but it was practically the only other thing in the box. No pakora at all. The tastiest part was the chicken wing, singular, because unfortunately I only received one chicken wing! The naan was bland also, as if there weren't any salt in the dough at all. Very disappointing since I never crave Indian food, and I don't think I'll be craving it again any time soon.
