Nothing that you get here can’t be found in Taco Bell or put together in 30 mins after sourcing ingredients from Sainsbury’s. So unimaginative.

Staff were very friendly and provided an excellent service. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious! The decor is wonderful and helps to create a great atmosphere. Would highly recommend the mojito and the vegetable tacos!

Amazing fresh food! Sayhmus was so hospitable. Enchilatas where delicious and margaritas where boozy ❤️ will definitly be coming back.

Food was very good but the waiter was very rude. He was always in a rush and lacked of manners in every aspect of his work. Ignoring when being called, almost throwing the dishes in the table ,food fell from the dish once and had to be replaced, no patience with card machine, generally we didn't feel welcomed even though we paid 35+ pounds each

We came in at 7pm today with a birthday booking and paid deposit. The food was good. The waiter was EXTREMELY rude. They charged 25 pounds for service? We asked to take the service off because it was so expensive and we are students. The waiter started giving condescending comments and lied about what time they close so we can leave. We were nothing but nice and respectful to him. Additionally, the waiter started explaining to me like a 5 year old how the deposit works into the bill? Completely unprofessional. Great food but i can’t come back with service that rude.

Such a shame that Miro's of old no longer exists. What was an excellent Mexican restaurant in its hey day has changed into a generic and bland place since it changed hands after the pandemic.

Horrendous service, horrible food, and an eye watering bill of nearly £60 for 2 main dishes. My boyfriend and I were hoping for a nice romantic meal but instead we were left feeling like an inconvenience from the waiter who wouldn’t even look at us when taking our order. Then ignored us the rest of the time until he bought the bill with a laughable mandatory service change. We also realised the staff are Turkish not Mexican which for some reason makes the restaurant feel a little fake and maybe explains why the food doesn’t taste authentic. I would avoid. There are far better quality Mexican restaurants in Edinburgh. Needless to say we won’t be returning.

Overpriced, not real mexican food. Food was not bad at all, but it tasted more like turkish-middle east than mexican.

Astronomical prices for really bad tacos. Old el Paso fajita kits are better. The menu said the chicken in the taco was "crispy", its not. For a £20 main course, you can find something far far better close by. Save your money and go elsewhere. The staff weren't even nice. Worst meal out I've had in a really long time. So disappointed to have wasted my money here.

First visit back here in a while and the food and service is poor. I asked for dessert and got told I couldn't have any as they wanted my table back so they could get another quick turnover, I wasn't even in an hour. Prices are astronomical and food quality is poor. Skip.

My husband and I visited Edinburgh from Belfast in December and enjoyed a fantastic meal. We were treated very well by staff and enjoyed the food a lot - fabulous flavour. Great buzzing atmosphere too. Thanks guys.

Been a while since I’ve had Mexican and was excited to revisit some authentic tastes … That was not the experience. The table was booked and we arrived at various times traveling from different places.. none of us were late. The staff were incredibly rude and blunt from the get go and that continued throughout the meal. They made us feel like an inconvenience. Our meals ordered they were not quite as described. My tortillas were chewy like rubber bands ( like they had been microwaved). It was tasty enough although saying ‘Mexican’ .. maybe not. The price being charged .. definitely not worth that. The service was the real let down. By the time the mains finished we were not offered anything else and we realised why .. so they could get another group in. They accepted bookings and passers by and they were clearly being greedy. Eventually a dessert and other drinks .. and the grumpy one came with the card machine .. whilst we were still eating… On complaint we were told ‘ table is for 1hr’ .. (it does not say this on booking) and they said ‘we waited 20mins for u to arrive. They were reminded of the booking time and we had not been late . in any event , soggy churros , horrible service and food that now left us with a different taste . The bill ! ? Omg ! And charging £3.50 for a soda water .. sums it up . After all that .. sorry sorry and gave us some shot …. So swig yer drinks , eat up quick and bog off .. but have this wee drink .. If the food was incredible you’d maybe say ok, they busy and popular and that’s a good thing .. but no .. grumpy and greedy means no going back

Super nice restaurant. Food is on the table quickly. Pollo and Mole Poblano is divine

We stumbled upon this quaint little restaurant after a hike up Arthur’s Seat. We only wanted a light lunch as we were dining out again in the evening. Other people were being served their food and it looked great. The food we had was delicious, hot and tasty. I had the spicy chicken Quesadilla and it was perfect. Every seat was taken so there was a great atmosphere and the staff were friendly and polite The only disappointment was that we weren’t staying for more and had to save room for later! We will return to this little gem!

Popped in for some authentic Mexican fare, waiter was fine and got us seated quickly. I chose spicy chicken enchiladas, my wife chose lamb tacos with 2 Coronas. My enchiladas were a good sized but the filling was very bland and watery, could not detect the cheese sauce and had little to no spice or seasoning, a bit disappointing. My wife fared better the lamb was lovely and tender and had nice flavour compared to my dish. Portion are a good size but are over priced, a main and a beer for two just 57 pounds including service charge we imagine as not explained. Service was prompt and fine as the place turned busy. Would go back for the lamb if prices were brought down.

We had the slow cooked lamb tacos. Probably the best tacos I've had (outside of Mexico) and the service was great. Well worth a trip.

Worst Mexican I’ve ever had. The nachos were awful, the tacos were tasteless and not even corn tortillas. The staff were rude, asked us and the guests on surrounding tables to leave for other booking before our time was up. The churros tasted like cardboard. Additionally every main cost £20. Ridiculous. Do not recommend.

I’ve not been to Miros in a while and I wish I had kept it this way. Firstly the prices - astronomical. I’m a local, I know value and I know tourist prices then there’s this. It’s just profiteering from people. £6 for bottle of Corona, £22 for nachos? Jeez. Secondly the food - mid. If you ate these dishes in a Wetherspoons you’d pay less than half and you’d not really notice anything different. The food quality is low. Watery sauces, gloopy guacamole. It was very mid. Salad on side was browning and tonight my stomach feels incredibly iffy. Service - there was none. We were the second table in as some German guys were just finishing up. They knew they were being scammed when the guy at the desk said the WiFi had went out so needed cash. Staff didn’t speak English or Spanish. I asked to pay card and was told “we also accept cash” - cool story. This once great Mexican is a shell and I advise readers to head to Mariachis Mexican 10 mins away, which has actual awesome Mexican food at a better price. Disappointed. And wasn’t given a bill so only realised after reading these reviews that I’ve paid 10% service for absolutely nothing.

We had just been to Mariachis Mexican the day before and spent £99 on 2 of us and the food was just unreal. First visit back here in a while and while the decor hasn’t changed the food and service is poor. I’m local so I know the tourist price in places and this place is just robbing people. £15.99 for nachos, £5.50 to add chilli. If the food was incredible you’d maybe say ok, but for average food, no. Sides of salad with browning lettuce, watery sauces and awful guacamole .. this is trading on a name that meant something. None of the staff spoke much English, or Spanish. Wish I’d checked reviews out prior to going. I can’t recommend this place. Prices are astronomical and food quality is mid. Skip.

Found this Mexican just near our hotel and we’re made up as it’s our favourite food. Although the menu outside looked a little expensive we decided to give it a go. The venue was small and felt very authentic. We ordered the chicken fajitas and large chilli nachos with a pint and single Malibu and coke.All arrived with in 10 minutes Chicken fajitas- 5/6 mini chicken fillets on a bed of fried onions an peppers and 4 mini wraps plus sauces- £21 Large nachos- massive plate mounted with tortilla chips , a little bit of cheese ( couldn’t taste it) then piled with sauces ( probably half a bottle of each) and a small dollop of tasteless chilli £15 large nachos £5 for the chilli Plus the 2 drinks our bill was £58 we were also placed on a tiny 2 seater table that we could hardly fit our food plates on even though the restaurant was empty. Would I go back ? No….Was the food nice? It was ok.

Ate here on Saturday what a good night we had reviews that say the waiters are grumpy we found it was all part of his act ,he wouldn't let us 2 bloke's in just the wives as we were to ugly asked for a drink and he said no and walked off soon came back with what we were drinking had a brilliant night we will be back

I put a star because there is no less, nothing Mexican, as a Mexican I felt cheated, bad treatment the first thing they told us was that we could quickly because they close at 10 and it was more than an hour later more people arrived and they were attended to as if nothing had happened I would never return

Visited this restaurant after a long mother daughter day in Edinburgh. After reading reviews online we acknowledged there were mixed opinions from others but thought we’d give it a go as we really fancied Mexican. The decor in the restaurant was nice, and very authentic. When we arrived we were one of two tables, and both me and my mum mentioned it would be nice to have some music playing as it lacked personality. I ordered spicy meat tacos , and my mum ordered a chilli con carne enchilada. Although good, the spice in my tacos came from the two singles pieces of chilli thrown on each one, which for £19.50, seems ridiculous. The enchilada was burnt to the bottom of the dish and lacked flavour. Unfortunately we weren’t given a chance to raise these concerns as no one checked on us during our meal to ask how the food was, or even if we wanted more drinks. As we came to pay the server asked us if it was possible for us to pay in cash, which seemed a very strange request and a rude look when we said we would not be doing so. It was during this conversation we mentioned the problems we had . in which the male server brushed off without apologising. Undoubtedly not a great meal or experience for us, we won’t be returning and won’t be recommended it to friends or family visiting Edinburgh.

My family went here a bit ago and over the past week 4 out of the 7 of us have gotten food poisoning. The food tasted fine but having to deal with food poisoning afterwards is a shame since the guy working there was nice enough.

Although this place is small, the food is really tasty and the staff are very friendly so we made the most of our experience there, we will always love this restaurant.

More authentic Mexican food I had in Edinburgh, good value for money and very friendly service and atmosphere.

Just realised that after an average meal we’ve also been ripped off by the service charge. We’ve paid the bill and also added a further 10% on top of the service , you would have thought if there was already a service charge and then you tell the waiter to add another 10% they’d say “no” it’s already included. Partly our fault for not checking the bill but that’s sharp practice.

An overall bad experience. Extremely overpriced. The place looks quite nice but the food and especially service leaves a lot to be desired. We got the Chile con queso as our starter. It was awful. The portion was laughable for ~£6, cheese sauce was grainy with a bad emulsion and the Tortilla chips it came with were extremely stale. The other 2 dishes we got were much more pleasant (Diablo and Carne tacos). Not good mind you - just more edible. Unfortunately, that is where fun stopped. Once we finished our meal and our plates were cleared we were left waiting and were ignored by the waiter. Eventually I just went up to the bar. Once at the bar I still had to just stand there for a couple minutes until they were kind enough to even acknowledge my presence. After this I was rewarded with a £50 bill for 1 starter and 2 mains. Please stay away.

I Know everyone says the food was lovely but omg it really was, my husband joked about it taste like your in a Mexican home but it really is a family run business and the mama cooks the food, she even said hello. . We are just back from cozumel and the food there had nothing on here. I honestly can't recommend here enough, incredible food incredible service we will all definitely be back soon. Really sad to see how much this place has declined. They’ve changed management and it has become one of the worst places for Mexican food. The people running it aren’t Mexican, they did not speak Spanish and hardly spoke English. The food prices have increased and quality is barely comparable to what it was from previous owners. Their tortillas are no longer made in house, they do not have refried beans and their signature fajitas left a disgusting after taste which made me want to vomit. This place is daylight robbery, I urge you not to go. I’m appalled and heartbroken that one of the authentic ones have sold out to new owners that do not care or know anything about Mexican food.

Hemos ido a cenar dos personas. El lugar es pequeño, muy agradable y bonita decoración mexicana, me gustó mucho con sus flores frescas en todas las mesas. La comida ha estado muy bien, los tacos de carne y chili... La carne de las mejores que he probado en mucho tiempo. El pollo con mole, el mole muy bueno, eso sí, pica bastante aunque a mí me encanta. Las enchiladas de carne bastante buenas. Con bien de queso y acompañadas de una ensaladita muy rica y arroz. Las margaritas un 10. Nos ha gustado mucho, lo recomiendo. Pagamos 85£ pero los platos son muy grandes.

Fantastic service and the food and drink was top notch

Horrible service. Today I was told that I couldn’t have a table because I was alone, but the place was only 50% busy and there were lots of places available, including 2-seats tables!!! The waiter told me that there could be couples or bigger groups arriving. To be turned down for no good reason just pissed me off, I was just going to eat and drink and leave. I think this is a clear sign that this place doesn’t care about its customers. Very disappointing.

I booked Miros for our work Christmas lunch. The Miros team were very helpful and responsive on the lead up to the lunch. They let us decorate the tables and accommodated our request for a drink on arrival and frozen margaritas. The food was tasty and service was good (though a little curt sometimes!). Great atmosphere and everyone had a good time. Thanks Miros!

Booked for a large group Christmas lunch (25 people). The Miros team were great - very helpful and accommodating with all the pre-planning and on the day. We almost had the whole place to ourselves. Best Mexican food I have ever had in the UK.

Came upon this restaurant by chance the owner was urging people to go in when they were reading menu outside. Made you feel obliged. Service was ok but indifferent its very small , cramped and basic inside We ordered fajitas didn't enjoy them tasteless .... i make much tastier and more authentic ones myself. The microwave seemed to be getting used a lot. Expensive . Wouldn't return

I love Mexican food and this experience was not it. The staff here were incredibly rude and blunt, no please, no thank you, just huffs and grunts. That was the red flag. Then the food arrives, I got the sizzling fajitas which were okay but nothing to write home about, and definitely not worth the price I paid for them: in fact, everything on the menu was way too overpriced. But the service was the real let down. I would avoid this place if you’re thinking about it.

Nacho’s waren goed en dat was ook het enige. 2 sterren omdat het binnen warm was en omdat de nachos goed waren. Helaas was dat enige wat beviel. De enchilladas met kip en monterey met sirloin steak vielen beiden erg tegen. Kip was erg droog, teveel kaas, saus en er zat alsnog geen smaak aan. De monterey was heel erg zoutig en bevatte 4 kleine steak strips. Totaal niets authentics aan. We hebben nog niet eerder zo slecht Mexicaans gegeten. Daarnaast waren de gerechten te duur voor wat je krijgt. We hadden alle gerechten binnen 20 minuten op tafel en schrokken van de rekening. De bediening was ok maar totaal geen interesse in jouw als klant. Gewoon erg jammer.

Incredibly disappointed. From the moment we came in we felt uncomfortable and the staff were unwelcoming. Very brief with no interest in creating a good experience at all. This might be passable if the prices weren't so outrageous. £20 for tacos. £20 plus for most of the mains. This by far exceeds any other prices which I have come across in the city and I have tried quite a few very similar establishments. Again, the service was dreadful with food basically being chucked on our table. One of the waiters seemed marginally more friendly but the main waiter was far from a delight. As a previous review mentioned, the waiter comes over with the bill and swiftly demands payment giving you no time to realise you're paying a steep service charge where it is definitely not deserved. I would recommend they get someone else dealing with customers and allow customers time before paying especially since prices are so high. I would not return.

One of the better establishments outside the America's. Chips and rice were okay, but everything else was great Btw, we overbought. This 0lqce is generous. We could have been happy with half as much. The top shelf Marguerite is quite nice.

Entre por las reseñas positivas y está claro que no siempre son garantía de éxito. No lo entiendo. Fui aquí porque donde quería ir estaba lleno y era muy tarde para buscar otra cosa. Dicen ser comida mexicana pero está regentada por turcos. No sería mala señal si tras pedir la comida te das cuenta de que es una fusión de sabores turcos rarisima. Los nachos tienen addons raros que no se suelen ver en un mexicano de verdad. Las fajitas secas no, lo siguiente. No pude terminarlas. Las quesadillas igual de raras de sabor. Y lo peor, el precio ELEVADISIMO para lo que es. La parte buena fue el buen servicio. Pero no recomendaría ir. Es como el típico sitio de paellas en plena rambla o slgo así. Un atrapa turistas.

A lovely restaurant, the food was amazing, I don't like it if it's too spicy, I had chicken quesadillas to start 🤤 and lamb for my main meal, I was stuffed. The tequila was massive and gorgeous.

The food from here is absolutely delicious and I have been a few times but it really is ruined by the rude waiter that has made each visit feel uncomfortable. Its a nice restaurant with good decor but I have decided not to return despite loving the food, because it feels like the waiter who is always there finds our presence to be an inconvenience even though we're there literally buying a meal as one generally does in a restaurant. This used to be my favourite restaurant in Edinburgh and by miles favourite Mexican restaurant ever. It's very different now. I think maybe new owners? The recipes are the same but the quality is nothing like it was. Chicken was very dry, sauce looked microwaved, the nachos came with a couple of drops of part dried up refried beans, almost looked like it was a leftover plate with new nachos. The nachos were partially burnt too. Really such a shame, especially with the prices being at least 50% more than what they were. Service was not rude but very indifferent. 10% service fee included on the bill. Wouldn't recommend at all sadly.

Do yourself a favour and head over to taco libre down the street, triple the quality for a third of the price. Sure it's not fancy as this restaurant pretends to be, but it sure is tasty. This is the worst mexican food I've ever had, and seriously 20 quid per main? Absurd prices, fancy restaurant level for terrible food. You can cook better mexican food at home following a simple recipe (disclaimer: I am not mexican). The mole sauce was too thin, too chocolatey and even bland! (and yes, I've tried mole before and it's delicious - not here though). It's not even that it wasn't tasty - it was just bad. I only finished it because I had to eat something and I paid for it. Honestly do not bother going to this place unless you like being ripped off. And there's a 10% service charge by the way. Not sure why as the service wasn't even good.

We had two meals, very steep prices and not great. I'm pretty sure the rice was uncle ben's microwave rice. The enchiladas were cooked from frozen, tough and tasteless. £3 for a tiny pot of sour cream which just seems ridiculous. Nice area though.

Bonne cuisine mexicaine à l'exception de la salade plutôt quelconque en accompagnement de tous les plats. Déco plutôt sympa. Par contre, le service est déplorable. D'entrée, on nous annonce, dans un anglais approximatif sans aucune nuance, qu'il faut faire très vite pour manger. Le clou est pour la fin où l'on vous demande de payer en cash (ce que nous refusons) et on vous ajoute des charges de service de 10% en vous pressant de taper votre code pour bien éviter de décoder la note. Simplement du vol !!! La plus grande attention est donc de mise au moment de payer.
