Terrible experience. The food is not even close to being authentic Mexican, it is very expensive and the service is very poor. The people who served us are rude and not helpful at all. I do not recommend anyone, Mexican or any other nationality, to go to this place.

Tourist trap keep away, extortionate prices for low quality food, most likely zapped to hell in a microwave.

I am Mexican and I was interested in coming here because I saw that they were cooking mole and I wanted to celebrate my birthday. I don't recommend them, I had a bad experience, I don't know what mole was anything but mole, an insult to true Mexican cuisine, the prices are exaggerated, and my stomach hurt a lot. The cooks are Turkish so nothing to see, really don't come, it's not worth it.

I was there yesterday, the food was great, the atmosphere is magnificent, very peaceful, comfortable environment, the employees are very friendly, we were very pleased with the attention, it is a restaurant we always go to, thank you very much for the smiling faces and delicious food, a beautiful day

It is an authentic Mexican restaurant. We ordered a variety of dishes from Enchiladas to Quesadillas and Tacos. The service was quick and the food was great as well. Overall a great experience!

Great place for a quick meal. However, the servers definitely wanted to get us out quickly even though the restaurant was empty. The food was also average and definitely some good mexican places can be found nearby. The frozen margarita was a good try.

Very friendly hosts, cool atmosphere and very good food.

Guys who ran the place were very creepy, kept talking dirty about customers in their own language (Turkish), food tasted really bad as if it was expired. The owners of the restaurant are Turkish, and they are the ones who run the place all the time, cursing the customers in their language, thinking that no one understands the Arabs in particular, far from their racism. The food was the most disgusting and smelled like garbage that honors grace.

La comida era muy buena, pero nos cobraron casi 20 libras más de lo que deberían haber. Sólo nos dimos cuenta después porque el camarero tenía prisa y no vimos la cuenta o nos ofrecieron un recibo. Envié un correo electrónico para preguntar sobre esto, nunca contestaron.

Disappointed with our visit. Did not like entering the restaurant walking passed staff who were smoking at the door. Meals were lovely and very well presented but expensive. Service wasn't that great, felt rushed to get the plates taken away then left to sit chatting with never never near again. We weren't offered the menu of deserts. We wanted deserts and more drinks and was told there was only beer so asked for bill. Felt like the staff gave us the bill and stood over us to pay then had us right out door. Very unusual and unwelcoming behaviour from staff. Not encouraged to return

It is a must to go place if you are visiting Edinburgh and want to enjoy every bite of your food. They make the best mojitos👌🏻 we tried nachos, taco and Enchilada. All were super delicious.

Miros Cantina Mexicana truly exceeded my expectations. The food was outstanding, offering the best Mexican cuisine I have ever tasted in the UK. The waiter was incredibly efficient, reminiscent of Flash from Marvel Comics, as he effortlessly served the entire restaurant single-handedly. The atmosphere was vibrant and inviting, making for a memorable dining experience. I highly recommend Miros Cantina Mexicana for anyone craving authentic and delicious Mexican fare served with exceptional service.

Small cozy restaurant with a great atmosphere. Loved sitting outside with my children and enjoyed a great margarita 🍹 with traditional Mexican tapas. Staff are so welcoming and very funny 😁 This is a place where you can return anytime and they will recognise you 💯✨️🙏

Got a piled plate of nachos which was larger than my head, with all toppings and some extra. The food was plentiful and fantastic. Good service and attentive staff. Would definitely come again.

Looks appealing but the prices are indefensible profiteering, and the owner sat in silence and watched us eat. Our waiter was good, and no problem when we asked to remove the service charge they'd added on top.

Food is pretty basic, not particularly flavourful and very overpriced. Overall quite disappointed by the experience. From what I've heard it used to be a decent restaurant but now just feels like a tacky tourist trap.

No puedo comentar sobre la comida pero fue una de las margaritas de peor sabor que he probado, y muy cara. Pedimos la factura, que también tenía un cargo por servicio de 12. El 5% también lo fue más de £ 25 por 2 bebidas. Fuimos por el camino y tuvimos unas margaritas preciosas por £ 8. 95 , creo que necesitan re-pensar su receta de margarita y precio.

A wonderful place, great service and staff. Feels like a real family affair, with care taken for people and food. Food was lovely, would highly recommend, we certainly will visit again.

I was recommended this by two separate friends. Absolutely loved the food! It was so flavourful and the spice was balanced perfectly. Staff were kind but also let us eat in peace. Definitely recommend if you're looking for somewhere to eat in Edinburgh.

I dined there last night with a friend. The food was fantastic, the frozen margaritas were delicious. All the staff were so friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend and would go back.

Really disappointing. Service was really lacklustre. It felt as though our custom was not welcome. Absolutely no pleasantries from Waiter. Food was adequate but overpriced. We won’t be back.

The food was good although I'm not sure it's authentic Mexican. I gave it three stars because we thought it was very expensive in relation to quality and price. They charged us £6 for a bottle of water when in Scotland they always give you free tap water. We ordered two plates of tacos, two beers and water: 70 pounds! The service was fast and correct.

Arrival at 7:30 p.m. and few customers so apparently no stress for the staff. Installed inside by an unfriendly and unsmiling man. Ordered 2 cocktails served quickly. We should have ordered the dishes straight away but we still took the time to think about it, although he obviously didn't like it. At the time of the bill (£68) there were no more smiles than when we arrived. Expedited and really unfriendly service. We will never return to this establishment again. As for the waiter who took care of our service, if receiving customers annoys him, he should change jobs.

Staff were extremely rude, not a pleasant atmosphere and felt very rushed to finish our food, order steak fajitas and they definitely weren’t authentic Mexican fajitas and steak wasn’t the best of quality and it was extremely chewy, cocktails were warm and them was charged a service charge. Would avoid this place at all costs if your wanting a decent authentic Mexican food go to Mariachi as there food is is proper Mexican food and you won’t get robbed and the staff are lovely and pleasant.

The food is legendary, it's a clean Mexican restaurant where you can eat halal meat. Thank you very much for Şeyhmus Abi's interest and concern. It is also for us to benefit from their experiences. It was a nice experience. For those who go, I recommend Nachos, tacos and chicken and meat dishes.

Iam a regular customer at Miros Cantana for multiple reasons: the food is absolutely fantastic, it is rich in flavour and incredibly delicious. My go to order is the steak fajitas and it is always served sizzling giving that extra flare. The staff are absolutely lovely and very helpful, always ready to lend a helping hand. Overall Miros is my all time favourite restaurant and highly recommend for anyone looking for a delicious dine out!!!

We popped in for lunch and had 3 courses and it was all brilliant! Really tasty food, plenty of it and great service. We had a baby with us and the guy working was brilliant with him. The margarita was really good too!

Rude waiter was throwing the drinks down at one end of our table, there was a rubber band in my nachos and when we asked for desserts, the waiter told us there was no desserts left which was a lie as they just wanted rid of us so they could give our table to another group. We had only been there for 1 hour and 20 minutes!!! Shocking service, disgusting attitude from servers, rubber bands in food and extremely overpriced!!! AVOID.

Nice and helpful people. Nice interiors. But poor quality of food. Ordered veg tacos. It was soggy and lacked freshness. Would have liked some cilantro and freshness with more guacamole. Rice and salad tasted nothing great. Needs to work harder on the quality of food and ingredients.

It’s a small place but they were able to serve our group of 15, food arrived fast, hot and delicious. We had a few children so wanted to modify some of the orders and they could accommodate us very well. Staff is lovely and the vibe is great.

Don’t come here if you want to break the bank. I got tacos (2) and I spend $31 USD, 😭. The tacos will fill you up but man it is not worth the price. The margaritas are not cold enough either.

I recently visited Miros and had an amazing experience! The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, with colorful decor that really set the mood. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The food was absolutely delicious. We started with the loaded nacho chips, so delicious. For the main course, I tried the steak tacos with a side of spicy rice , and they were fantastic – the perfect blend of spices , i can’t rave enough about the tender, juicy meat in my steak tacos. Overall, Miros offers an authentic and enjoyable Mexican dining experience. Highly recommend!

Such a great restaurant and delicious fresh food at a very central location. We had trio nachos with beef diablo. Food came very quickly and service was to a high standard. I would also recommend the frozen margaritas.

Really glad we heard about this restaurant as we wouldn't have seen it otherwise. The staff were very kind and attentive. Drinks were served straight away and there was no delay in the food or the bill. The food tasted amazing and was a good portion size. You can tell this is the kind of business where the owners really care. I'll definitely be coming back next time I'm near.

Nothing that you get here can’t be found in Taco Bell or put together in 30 mins after sourcing ingredients from Sainsbury’s. So unimaginative.

Food was very good but the waiter was very rude. He was always in a rush and lacked of manners in every aspect of his work. Ignoring when being called, almost throwing the dishes in the table ,food fell from the dish once and had to be replaced, no patience with card machine, generally we didn't feel welcomed even though we paid 35+ pounds each

We came in at 7pm today with a birthday booking and paid deposit. The food was good. The waiter was EXTREMELY rude. They charged 25 pounds for service? We asked to take the service off because it was so expensive and we are students. The waiter started giving condescending comments and lied about what time they close so we can leave. We were nothing but nice and respectful to him. Additionally, the waiter started explaining to me like a 5 year old how the deposit works into the bill? Completely unprofessional. Great food but i can’t come back with service that rude.

Such a shame that Miro's of old no longer exists. What was an excellent Mexican restaurant in its hey day has changed into a generic and bland place since it changed hands after the pandemic.

Horrendous service, horrible food, and an eye watering bill of nearly £60 for 2 main dishes. My boyfriend and I were hoping for a nice romantic meal but instead we were left feeling like an inconvenience from the waiter who wouldn’t even look at us when taking our order. Then ignored us the rest of the time until he bought the bill with a laughable mandatory service change. We also realised the staff are Turkish not Mexican which for some reason makes the restaurant feel a little fake and maybe explains why the food doesn’t taste authentic. I would avoid. There are far better quality Mexican restaurants in Edinburgh. Needless to say we won’t be returning.

Astronomical prices for really bad tacos. Old el Paso fajita kits are better. The menu said the chicken in the taco was "crispy", its not. For a £20 main course, you can find something far far better close by. Save your money and go elsewhere. The staff weren't even nice. Worst meal out I've had in a really long time. So disappointed to have wasted my money here.

First visit back here in a while and the food and service is poor. I asked for dessert and got told I couldn't have any as they wanted my table back so they could get another quick turnover, I wasn't even in an hour. Prices are astronomical and food quality is poor. Skip.

My husband and I visited Edinburgh from Belfast in December and enjoyed a fantastic meal. We were treated very well by staff and enjoyed the food a lot - fabulous flavour. Great buzzing atmosphere too. Thanks guys.

Been a while since I’ve had Mexican and was excited to revisit some authentic tastes … That was not the experience. The table was booked and we arrived at various times traveling from different places.. none of us were late. The staff were incredibly rude and blunt from the get go and that continued throughout the meal. They made us feel like an inconvenience. Our meals ordered they were not quite as described. My tortillas were chewy like rubber bands ( like they had been microwaved). It was tasty enough although saying ‘Mexican’ .. maybe not. The price being charged .. definitely not worth that. The service was the real let down. By the time the mains finished we were not offered anything else and we realised why .. so they could get another group in. They accepted bookings and passers by and they were clearly being greedy. Eventually a dessert and other drinks .. and the grumpy one came with the card machine .. whilst we were still eating… On complaint we were told ‘ table is for 1hr’ .. (it does not say this on booking) and they said ‘we waited 20mins for u to arrive. They were reminded of the booking time and we had not been late . in any event , soggy churros , horrible service and food that now left us with a different taste . The bill ! ? Omg ! And charging £3.50 for a soda water .. sums it up . After all that .. sorry sorry and gave us some shot …. So swig yer drinks , eat up quick and bog off .. but have this wee drink .. If the food was incredible you’d maybe say ok, they busy and popular and that’s a good thing .. but no .. grumpy and greedy means no going back

We stumbled upon this quaint little restaurant after a hike up Arthur’s Seat. We only wanted a light lunch as we were dining out again in the evening. Other people were being served their food and it looked great. The food we had was delicious, hot and tasty. I had the spicy chicken Quesadilla and it was perfect. Every seat was taken so there was a great atmosphere and the staff were friendly and polite The only disappointment was that we weren’t staying for more and had to save room for later! We will return to this little gem!

Popped in for some authentic Mexican fare, waiter was fine and got us seated quickly. I chose spicy chicken enchiladas, my wife chose lamb tacos with 2 Coronas. My enchiladas were a good sized but the filling was very bland and watery, could not detect the cheese sauce and had little to no spice or seasoning, a bit disappointing. My wife fared better the lamb was lovely and tender and had nice flavour compared to my dish. Portion are a good size but are over priced, a main and a beer for two just 57 pounds including service charge we imagine as not explained. Service was prompt and fine as the place turned busy. Would go back for the lamb if prices were brought down.

We had the slow cooked lamb tacos. Probably the best tacos I've had (outside of Mexico) and the service was great. Well worth a trip.

Worst Mexican I’ve ever had. The nachos were awful, the tacos were tasteless and not even corn tortillas. The staff were rude, asked us and the guests on surrounding tables to leave for other booking before our time was up. The churros tasted like cardboard. Additionally every main cost £20. Ridiculous. Do not recommend.

I’ve not been to Miros in a while and I wish I had kept it this way. Firstly the prices - astronomical. I’m a local, I know value and I know tourist prices then there’s this. It’s just profiteering from people. £6 for bottle of Corona, £22 for nachos? Jeez. Secondly the food - mid. If you ate these dishes in a Wetherspoons you’d pay less than half and you’d not really notice anything different. The food quality is low. Watery sauces, gloopy guacamole. It was very mid. Salad on side was browning and tonight my stomach feels incredibly iffy. Service - there was none. We were the second table in as some German guys were just finishing up. They knew they were being scammed when the guy at the desk said the WiFi had went out so needed cash. Staff didn’t speak English or Spanish. I asked to pay card and was told “we also accept cash” - cool story. This once great Mexican is a shell and I advise readers to head to Mariachis Mexican 10 mins away, which has actual awesome Mexican food at a better price. Disappointed. And wasn’t given a bill so only realised after reading these reviews that I’ve paid 10% service for absolutely nothing.

First visit back here in a while and while the decor hasn’t changed the food and service is poor. I’m local so I know the tourist price in places and this place is just robbing people. £15.99 for nachos, £5.50 to add chilli. If the food was incredible you’d maybe say ok, but for average food, no. Sides of salad with browning lettuce, watery sauces and awful guacamole .. this is trading on a name that meant something. None of the staff spoke much English, or Spanish. Wish I’d checked reviews out prior to going. I can’t recommend this place. Prices are astronomical and food quality is mid. Skip.

Found this Mexican just near our hotel and we’re made up as it’s our favourite food. Although the menu outside looked a little expensive we decided to give it a go. The venue was small and felt very authentic. We ordered the chicken fajitas and large chilli nachos with a pint and single Malibu and coke.All arrived with in 10 minutes Chicken fajitas- 5/6 mini chicken fillets on a bed of fried onions an peppers and 4 mini wraps plus sauces- £21 Large nachos- massive plate mounted with tortilla chips , a little bit of cheese ( couldn’t taste it) then piled with sauces ( probably half a bottle of each) and a small dollop of tasteless chilli £15 large nachos £5 for the chilli Plus the 2 drinks our bill was £58 we were also placed on a tiny 2 seater table that we could hardly fit our food plates on even though the restaurant was empty. Would I go back ? No….Was the food nice? It was ok.

Ate here on Saturday what a good night we had reviews that say the waiters are grumpy we found it was all part of his act ,he wouldn't let us 2 bloke's in just the wives as we were to ugly asked for a drink and he said no and walked off soon came back with what we were drinking had a brilliant night we will be back

I put a star because there is no less, nothing Mexican, as a Mexican I felt cheated, bad treatment the first thing they told us was that we could quickly because they close at 10 and it was more than an hour later more people arrived and they were attended to as if nothing had happened I would never return

Visited this restaurant after a long mother daughter day in Edinburgh. After reading reviews online we acknowledged there were mixed opinions from others but thought we’d give it a go as we really fancied Mexican. The decor in the restaurant was nice, and very authentic. When we arrived we were one of two tables, and both me and my mum mentioned it would be nice to have some music playing as it lacked personality. I ordered spicy meat tacos , and my mum ordered a chilli con carne enchilada. Although good, the spice in my tacos came from the two singles pieces of chilli thrown on each one, which for £19.50, seems ridiculous. The enchilada was burnt to the bottom of the dish and lacked flavour. Unfortunately we weren’t given a chance to raise these concerns as no one checked on us during our meal to ask how the food was, or even if we wanted more drinks. As we came to pay the server asked us if it was possible for us to pay in cash, which seemed a very strange request and a rude look when we said we would not be doing so. It was during this conversation we mentioned the problems we had . in which the male server brushed off without apologising. Undoubtedly not a great meal or experience for us, we won’t be returning and won’t be recommended it to friends or family visiting Edinburgh.

My family went here a bit ago and over the past week 4 out of the 7 of us have gotten food poisoning. The food tasted fine but having to deal with food poisoning afterwards is a shame since the guy working there was nice enough.

Although this place is small, the food is really tasty and the staff are very friendly so we made the most of our experience there, we will always love this restaurant.
