As wonderful as ever - please open in Glasgow! In fact it was even better as there is now an option for a meal for one which was amazing. Staff are very friendly, atmosphere is great, and I felt fine eating on my own - not always easy!

Came with my grandma twice and it was lovely Both times it’s my favourite restraunt in Edinburgh, tastes very fresh and high quality. Staff are pleasant and good at explaining and very quick service. Great place will be back

Great service - friendly and attentive - but the food wasn't very nice - burnt cauliflower and taste combinations and textures which were not pleasant. And really overpriced. I should have pushed for a full refund but the service made up for food experience. The patas bravas were nice.

Excellent Mexican cuisine, wonderful environment, great music. They don't bring the food to the table all at once, but as it is finished in the kitchen. So everyone can eat differently, but it is suitable for sharing plates. Everything we tasted (a party of five) was excellent. Reasonable price for me considering the location and absolutely luxurious margaritas.

The food was incredible, so flavoursome and lots of options especially for vegetarians - the sweet potato taquito was lush. Matteo was very attentive and took the time to explain the menu to us as well as give us some recommendations for bars and restaurants 😊

Amazing service very polite staff, good food and atmosphere

Matteo made some tasty suggestions for me which were all delicious. “Wahaca for 1” The “Sir Veza” was cleverly presented and hit the spot. Finally, for the churros, YES, treat yourself!

I am not one to post reviews, but was impressed by this restaurant, particularly the food. The mini marg trio was just right for a light drinker such as myself. I had the chicken club quesadilla and my dinner mate had the black bean burrito. Both were excellent. Guacamole and chips were good, too. Also enjoyed the music.

We had a fantastic evening! The waiters were excellent—very attentive and friendly. We really liked the concept of small plates: smaller portions where you order two or three, making it easy to try different dishes. And the churros at the end were absolutely delicious—definitely the best dessert ever! Highly recommended!

The waiters here are really helpful! They suggest great food and make sure you have a good experience. They’re also patient and don’t mind answering any questions you have. Overall, the service is excellent!

It is a nice, modern restaurant with good food and service. The service was good, the food came quickly and well, as well as the drinks. One thing that could be improved would be the music, which should be more Mexican in style and with a better atmosphere, but the decor is still good. I recommend the restaurant for a delicious meal with friends or family.

Great food, good price, friendly staff

Food was amazing and staff (specially Matteo) very friendly ;-). Personally I think it was a bit cold were we sat and music a bit too loud, but overall great experience. I will definitely go back whenever I am in town again.

I’m surprised by the rating—it deserves to be higher! I came in for the meats but was blown away by the vegan options—so flavorful and satisfying. The food was fresh, vibrant, and delicious. Best Mexican restaurant in Edinburgh

Staff were friendly and took time to explain the menu. There is a nice selection on the menu, we chose the small plates - choose 2 or 3 and they're sharable. If you have room for more then, you can order another cheeky small plate! A great place for lunch lively atmosphere.

I was visiting from Phoenix, AZ, known for its Mexican food and this place did not disappoint! The staff was wonderful, the food was delicious with high quality products at a reasonable price. A fun spot to grab dinner with friends, great atmosphere.

Sorry, I am a complete wuss when it comes to spice and the food was too spicy for me. Mum and niece enjoyed it though. Staff are very friendly and helpful

We had no idea that in the total amount payed we would have to pay an extra 20% Tax and Service was included in price. And I would pass that if the food was good. Guess what? It wasn’t! Taco Bell is a 5 star restaurant compared to that! Don’t waste your money!

I hadn’t been to a Wahaca in years. It was good. Plenty of vegetarian options. I had the plantain taco, which was good, with a smoky sauce. The guacamole was lacking chilli for my personal taste, but I understand. I was surprised that only Tabasco was offered as the spicy sauce. The staff were kind. The ambiance was nice, with high ceilings and yellow lights.

Lovely wee spot. My Husband enjoyed the food more than I did, but only because I like spice. Despite the mild offerings, the food was tasty. Would have gotten 5stars if my spicy margarita had been spicy.

I think I've had the worse @wahaca EVER the server tried to explain it's Mexican so spicy !!! That doesn't account for chilli, vinegar burn & soggy falling apart taco. Then tried to clear my unfinished drink, I think this has possibly cured me of my 12 year addiction 😳 oh and if I want a dessert I have to move as they need my table for a party!

We hebben hier op oudjaarsavond gegeten. Het is een restaurant met verschillende soorten. Wij hadden gekozen voor soort tapas gerechten. Mijn vriendin is vegetarisch en voor haar waren er meer dan voldoende keuzes. Het eten was echt super lekker en de prijs/kwaliteit is goed.

Hello, enjoyed the food, and the whole experience, server Tomas was very nice and helpful. However, can't be serving sprite cans for £3.95- that's daylight robbery.

I wasn't impressed with wahaca at all. I felt like the portion size to price ratio wasn't great. The tacos themselves had a texture as if the whole thing had been cooked in the microwave. Garnish was overpowering to the point where you couldn't taste the meat. I left hungry and unsatisfied. As a footnote, I will say that all the people I was with seemed to enjoy their meal. Maybe it's just not to my taste, but I definitely won't be back.

Wonderful spot for a bite near St. Andrews square! I got coffee and a burrito. My wife got tacos and hot chocolate. The food and drinks were fantastic! Even the chips had an excellent mix of sauces that really popped. The coffee and my wife's hot chocolate really surprised. Both were fantastic. Would visit again!

Relaxed, friendly atmosphere, tasteful themed decor, lighting and background music - we sat upstairs. Great staff - helpful, attentive, and knowledgable. Divine Picante Margaritas and wonderful dishes packed with exquisite flavours - traditional guacamole with tortilla chips, Frijoles Chorizo, Plantain Tacos, Ancho Mushroom Tacos and Beet Tartare Tostadas. Perfect for two - our taste buds were singing. Rounded the meal off with excellent coffee.

My fav Mexican restaurant of all time. Maybe favourite restaurant. Great food, great cocktails, vegetarians are spoiled for choice too. Staff are always friendly too! Love it!

Always a pleasure going to Wahaca. Located just off Princes St close to Waverly St. Good atmosphere with lovely Xmas decorations. Good service but sum of the choices were out early in the evening which is disappointing. Good Veg choices available but some of it was not available.

You can’t go wrong with Wahaca and on a cold Sunday night in Edinburgh this was just the right spot to visit. We had not booked a table in advance but the team were very accommodating and food was quick to roll out. It’s a nice venue and a great atmosphere and they did have a few new dishes as part of their Xmas menu. Always worth a visit!
