It was a Monday, so was initially quiet but began to fill up as time went on. We were very impressed with the friendly and attentive service, were well-looked after, and enjoyed the food with delicious flavours. The waiter made it even more special for us personally, by adding an extra special touch as it was our anniversary. I would definitely go back there if in the area again.

Fantastic meal full of flavour. Only down side, 1 waiter for all tables, so service was quite slow. But saying that, was worth the wait. Would definitely recommend 100%.

We found the food very good and the entertainment excellent. The Lakeside Coastal Village show was like being in the West End of London. We give it 10 out of 10 and maybe 11!

Oh my word. We didn't expect to experience such a wonder hidden gem on Hayling Island. The service was amazing, courteous and friendly, the food was visually exquisite, the taste was amazing., "amazing" can be over stated but this was literally amazing. Altogether a wonder memorable dinner, I hope the photo's show how good it was. The gentlemen who service us was charming and we wish him the very best in his "commercial" career although we will be pleased to see him when we visit again.

My favourite place to eat on Hayling Island. Always come here with my mum for dinner when I am visiting . Great little restaurant - lovely food. Super friendly vibe . Thanks to Noah and Josh for lovely service the last few times we been in. Definitely one of the best places to eat on the island

Food is cooked from fresh, very flavoursome. Service is very slow. We weren’t offered water when we arrived, neither was a drink order taken. When we were ready to order food that’s when our drinks order was taken. Drink orders are usually taken before the meal, not at the same time.

I wouldn't necessarily review, but I've just read the 1-star reviews. I came with colleagues for dinner. It was very quiet - Tuesday night and quite late. In fact we were the only ones here after a while. I quite like that - for me that's better than a noisy busy place, We had a nice meal. The staff were friendly. The food was pretty good - no problem at all. It was quite prompt - although of course it's not fast-food either. All things considered, I'd be happy to come here again. A small piece of advice for the owner - yes people give bad reviews, and sometimes - often even - people are unfair and complain about things that are in fact reasonable. I think most people these days are sophisticated enough to understand that bad experiences occasionally happen everywhere, and some people will complain about anything. So a bad review isn't the end of the world. If you're going to reply to a bad review - keep it short! Apologize (even if it wasn't your fault), and don't go beyond 1-2 lines. Life's short - make sure your replies are too.

Been coming here on and off for years. We came for a meal the other week. We are vegan and flagged when we ordered non meat / fish items that we didn’t want any containing fish sauce. Instead of the deep fried vegetables in batter that we ordered, we were bought deep fried prawns in batter. My partner took a bite. He was horrified as has not eaten any meat or fish for many years. We were given a verbal apology and a replacement starter but I don’t thing the staff grasped just how terrible a thing this is to happen. It put us off the whole meal. Also I can’t help but think of people with allergies also. After asking for the bill, we were left with it for ages due to a large party arriving and we had to flag someone down so we could pay and leave. I would have liked to have seen a gesture of goodwill with regards to the bill, such as that item being removed. But it wasn’t. I am not one to ask or demand discounts, and prefer to see what’s forthcoming. I sent the restaurant a message via their website the following day as I don’t believe in writing reviews like this until you’ve properly communicated how you feel direct with the owner but I received no reply. So decided I will do a Trip Advisor review.

We visit here every time we come to Hayling. Which is a lot. Love it. Fresh food, great service if sometimes rather comical - it always feel like they’re glad we are there. We really rate the food here.

Wonderful Thai food. We have visited this lovely place before. This time it was just as good and plenty of customers so it was nice to see people enjoying the food. I heard others say how much they enjoyed it. We had some fab starters then shared the beef salad that was delicious, quite spicy but reminded us of a dish we had in Bangkok. For mains we had a Thai curry and rice then shared banana fritters. So beautifully served. It is almost worth driving to Hayling Island just to eat here.

Lovely small Thai place, personal service, and yummy food, a little gem found on our recent stay on the island. Service with a smile, not rushed, and some amazing dishes. Sticky rice and Green curry were amazing, we also had a steak salad and stir fried veg. Main courses were better than the starters. Would definitely go back if in the area,

My boyfriend had the pad kraprao chicken and coconut rice, he said it was the best Thai food he’s ever had in his life. I however had the tofu satay with stir fried broccoli and egg fried rice. The broccoli and rice were fine,nothing special but the tofu came 15 mins after the rest of the food (after enquiring about it) and arrived stone cold. The cheapest rose on the menu was very nice and Michaels service was brilliant. Vegetable spring rolls and prawn crackers (complimentary) good too.

Please disregard the two bad reviews...they are false! This restaurant is without doubt the best Thai restaurant I've ever been to in the UK Service is excellent and the food AMAZING! Please visit and you'll be in for a real treat

Amazing food and staff. Great selection on menu and was helped to choose what I would like by our waiter William. Nothing was to much trouble at all and must say I’m puzzled by the two 1 star reviews as this isn’t what we found. Great prices and food was served hot and quickly. Would definitely recommend and return. Thankyou for making are weekend.

Wouldn’t recommend to anyone. 5 of us went for dinner, 3 of the main dishes that were brought out were completely incorrect. Once the correct dishes were brought out we we’re all eating at different times. I asked if we could have some discount for all the mistakes. They took off 5%. When I said that didn’t reflect the amount of mistakes and asked to speak to the manager he responded by arguing with me.

I very rarely write a bad review but have to say it was a disappointment tonight. Our son’s birthday & nothing went well & when his fiancée spoke to the owner they were not helpful. Will never go here again.

Booked after reading tripadvisor reviews and can honestly say we were very happy. The service and food were first class. Will definitely be returning on our next visit to the island.

Having eaten in a number of Thai restaurants and in Thailand itself, I can safely say that our takeaway from this restaurant was average at best. The chicken in the curry was dry, the potatoes over cooked and obviously had been cooked and had been sat around for a while. The pad Thai was pretty flavourless- I expected more given the glowing reviews and the cost.

We went to this restaurant whilst on holiday in Hayling Island. The flavours immediately took us back to amazing holidays in Thailand. The food is so fresh and flavoursome - everything made with only the best ingredients. The owner and his brother are wonderful too. Thank you very much for giving us a ride home in the rain!

We arrived shortly after opening for a take away. We were greeted by very friendly staff and ordered our choices. It was ready in fifteen minutes, and again, the staff were very friendly. The food itself was superb - we love Thai food, and have eaten in many Thai restaurants and take aways throughout the UK. This must rate as one of the best. Best for quality of food, service and value for money. All in all, a great experience. We highly recommend this restaurant if you enjoy Thai food.

We were on holiday in the area so tried this Thai place out and it didn’t disappoint. We had starters and mains and the food was delicious and piping hot. The waiters were also very attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend 😀

I ordered our usual takeaway green curry and sticky rice but added the deep fried vegetable starter and I wasn’t disappoint the chef came out and handed it to me personally and said he’d given me a special portion and we weren’t disappointed it was huge and we ate every bit!! I can’t recommend this place enough they are amazing and so are their staff. We will always be a repeat customers

Had a lovely meal last night. Presentation was super, relaxed atmosphere and service (by Blake) was attentive, without being overly intrusive.I don't imagine that many people look to come to the Island for their restaurants, but their loss is our gain. This restaurant serves up a quality product and deserves plaudits. Well done everyone.

I was concerned after reading a recent bad review but I need not have worried as the food was delicious, reasonably priced and arrived promptly. The staff were also very polite. We chose this restaurant after a quick Google search we would happily visit again I recommend it.

Been to Hayling Island many times but this was our first visit to this Thai restaurant. We have been to Thailand many times and this food was as good as any food we have eaten in Thailand. Very friendly and helpful Thai staff. All the tables were nicely spaced and wiped down before new guests. I had read a previous review about a crispy noodle starter so we had that to start. It was amazing, Pat (?) kindly told me how to make the dressing for it so I hope to try it at home. All the food we had was served beautifully and delicious. We will definitely be going back when we go to Hayling Island again for another mini break. Thank you for the lovely evening and chatting to you about Thai food.

The most amazing restaurant. The food is so delicious and presented beautifully. The staff are so attentive, professional and polite. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The first 5 star review I have given.Well organised with regard to current restrictions and our waiter, Pat(?) and the lovely lady working with him, did a fantastic job.The food was absolutely spot on - fresh, great flavours and wonderful presentation. Well worth a visit.

rice was dry, needed a sauce, dont give you enough sauce with your starter or main, steak couldve done with more flavour and sauce, the smell of the rice makes you feel sick and makes it hard to eat, it stinks out the whole resteraunt

Great food. Will is a great asset, he looked after us really well. Only complaint food is so good and big portions that we didn't get to try the desserts. We will be back as really lovely experience.

Served by a really lovely lad called Will - he made the evening even better!! Food was really tasty and spicy which we like. Will definitely return. Had the Thai red chicken curry and it was one of the nicest we’d ever had. Freshly cooked and beautifully presented. Thank you!!

We started off by ordering a takeaway but given there was a wait and their restaurant only had a few clients (it was 2130hrs Sat night) the young man who served us invited in for a drink while we waited.In the end we decided to eat in as the Covid regs were quite good temperature checks gels etc.We ordered veggie spring rolls for a starter and two veggie main course.When the food came it had chicken in it, clearly the young man server had written it down wrongly. He was very apologetic took the plates back and to be fair they cooked a fresh meal which was very good indeed.I am not going to mark them down too much for a simple error although I am glad we didn't have the takeaway. When things go wrong in any establishment as they sometimes do , it is how things are put right that counts. The guys that run this place are very nice, the food is good would definitely go again.

Just had a fantastic Covid 19 meal here. Full of flavour and spice. We had the set menu a. It was more than enough for two hungry people. Great food and great service.

I was visiting the place a week ago after lockdown lifted and it was amazing, the food s great with such a big potion for the price and very well decorated makes you even more hungrier! All cleaning equipment was provided by the entrance. Will definitely going back again my recommend menu would be Tom Kha-Gai, Chuchee and pineapple fried rice!

I went there with my husband for dinner, food was all fantastic and plenty of it. The waitress was attentive and professional. She heard it was my birthday and brought out a hot chocolate brownie with ice cream with a candle on it - so kind. Lovely place to eat.

Smart and attentive staff. Immaculate restaurant area. High attention to detail in the service and presentation and the food was deliciously fresh and full of flavour. The team there know what they are doing, and there was a nice atmosphere (especially for a Wednesday evening) with the takeout service not detracting from the dining experience. Great value too.

The food was-very tasty but was served cold, we had to wait over one hour before the first course was served the main meal was delivered in several times so added to the coldness. There were obviously not enough staff to serve the existing customers and several complaints about service were observed. Need to improve service before we go again or reccomend to others.

Some birthday treat, since new ownership the quality has fallen dramatically. Rey overpriced for very poor food, the beef dish was inedible and the mixed veg dish was raw and cold. This I explained quietly to two members of staff and got a shrug of the shoulders and no explanation or apology. They didn’t seem to care less. Usually u have to book a table on a Saturday which we did we got there and the place had 8 people inside should have realised then. Won’t be going again. Should have gone to the delightful Chinese next door. Always good food.

We ate here early one evening and the service and food was very good. We ordered a set meal for the three adults and a noodle dish for the 8 yr old. Food was very good. The only criticism is that for the set meal, the starter size was increased i.e. 3 of everything, but the green curry, beef dish and vegetable dish were the same size as if it had been for 2 people. Nevertheless, exquisite meal and shall be back.Please note: the restaurant is undergoing a name change from Niyom Thai to Agaligo

If you fancy an early meal you can usually get a table without booking. The food is delicious. Extremely well presented and the staff are very helpful

We ordered from here back in March - duck spring rolls were undercooked (pastry was raw!). We decided to give them another chance today. The squid was delicious but everything else was tasteless. The steamed dumplings are not the same as what they were - they looked grey and tasted of nothing! The pad Thai noodles were all clumped together and the amount of oil in the beef with mushroom dish was so high, that there was just a sheen of oil on the top. The tamarind duck was tough and no longer comes with crispy noodles. This is so sad to be writing this review, as before the new owners, food always used to be so good!

We were on the hayling holiday park and got a take away from Niyom Thai as we were back late from our trip to peppa pig land. The food was good, not too greasy, and just a short wait. We liked the crispy noodle starter, Panang chicken, pad Thai, broccoli and the stir fried beef.

Under new management. Still good. Staff were excellent and food good. Portion sizes seem to have increased a bit - came away stuffed.

The food was really tasty. But the portions were absolutely tiny! Make sure if you order sticky rice that you order one per person. It came in a boil a bag style bag and like I said was a very small portion. We used to order from here and struggle to finish our meal but we were left hungry this time. Perhaps dining in you get a larger portion?

Three of us visited on the evening of 2nd March. We were made welcome, and given sufficient time to peruse the menu. This was just as well, because there was so much to choose from. For starters, my husband ordered the scallops, and we were impressed to see four large, succulent, beautifully cooked scallops arrive. My daughter chose the calamari, and declared it was very good. We also had the aromatic crispy duck, which came with six pancakes. My husband’s main was beef in oyster sauce with mushrooms. My daughter had beef pad Thai, which I tried and it was delicious. My main was lamb mad sa man (massaman) curry. The chunks of lamb were huge and very tender. There was so much that I couldn’t finish it. The wine was excellent, at under £15 a bottle. The whole meal cost £75 for thee starters, three mains and a bottle of wine. Excellent value. I can thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

New management so we were curious. Great fresh ingrediants. We went 'plant based' (!) for curry and stirfry and it was really good.

We have been here several times previously but think under new owners. Service seemed very slow and we were the only diners most of the time. Started with two diet cokes. Odd taste and flat. Changed. Still odd taste so thinking maybe a different brand. Ordered prawn crackers. £2.50. Six crackers and two crumbs. Ridiculous for the price. Can't understand the logic of scrimping on them when they are so cheap to them to buy. Starters very small for price. Mine was cashews, celery and raw onion for over £7. Huge mark up. Shared rice for main course as usually too much but for almost £3 it's only the size of a cup. Main meal very small. The food was nice but just way too small and far too expensive for portion size. Not sure I'd return due to portion size.

Had a takeaway from here this evening, 2 dishes missing when we got home, portions looked like they’d been cut in half, 3 different rices - all tasteless, curry’s with twice as much chilli as before to cover their flavourlessness.

6 of us visited last night. Food was good but due to a long gap in getting all the dishes (& rice was 10 minutes after main meal had been served) we all had cold dinners. It looked like they were under staffed. Very disappointing.

I think we all understand that your average Thai restaurant will be slightly more expensive than your average Chinese or Indian, and this is no exception, but the quality of the service and delicious food is well worth it.

Visited tonight while we were returning from Funland. I have been here before and always liked the service and food. I was not disappointed on this occasion either.

Came here for my little brothers stag do last week. The service here was amazing, staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was amazing and everyone raved about it after we had left.

Lovely food and almost no wait ! Traditional food. Very well cooked and well worth the money. The portions were very large for the money too.

We visited on 25th of August having pre-booked over the phone, which was easy and our preferred time was available.

We visited here last night (25th aug) booked online in advance and called to confirm but the clearly cannot understand English very well. We just hoped and prayed and turned up. They didn’t have a clue what was going on but eventually were seated. We waited close to 15 mins for a menu. We ordered the sharing starter; chicken satay, dumpling, prawn toast etc. I had the lamb massaman, my other half had the chicken Penang and we shared a coconut rice.

Came with my mother one evening, on her recommendation. The service was beautiful and discreet - just right. The food was heavenly - fresh, full of flavour and zest. Would recommend it wholeheartedly.

We were welcomed warmly by staff member. Ambiance and place was clean and well maintained. Food was fresh and authentic with reasonable price. I will recommend though that you have a good two hours for a two course meal as food is prepared upon order.

The welcome was very warm and total hospitality all the way through, down to us taking away a doggy bag. Spare ribs, fish cakes, duck prawn roll and a very lightly battered tempura, made for a perfect meal, washed down with some Chang beer.

Prompt but not too fast and deliciously fresh. Having been to Thailand I reckon this is the best in Hampshire. Been twice, 5 years apart and still good - wish it was closer to home.

Just off the beaten track, this little gem can be found in west town Hayling. Friendly attentive staff offer a food experience that is hard to beat. Highly recommend!

Just had dinner there with a friend and we both liked it a lot. Food was excellent and real authentic Thai. And the service simply outstanding. You really feel like being in Thailand. Definitely worth a visit.

We had an excellent meal here with friends. We chose the Sukhotai banquet option and really enjoyed it. Terrific green curry and a beef with hot basil. Very authentic flavours and excellent service. Well worth a visit

Very pleasant evening meal here while staying locally. We decided on the set menu A and it was excellent, particularly the mixed starters. Even if you choose a la carte, be sure to go for the mixed starters to share. Excellent service and good value.

We enjoyed a table for two on Wednesday evening. The restaurant was clean and welcoming. The food was fantastic and the warm service was too! We have had Thai food in many Thai restaurants and this was outstanding.

We had an excellent meal here on Saturday Bank Holiday in May. Service 5 star and the meal superb. Wonderful presentation and generous portions. Can not recommend it more highly. We will definitely visit again atmosphere really nice Such tasty and beautifully cooked meal

Went for a special meal to celebrate my wifes birthday and it was the first time we had used this restaurant. We were not disappointed. The choice of food was excellent and the quality was first class. Proper authentic thai food served lovely and hot.

Six of us went here as visitors after the challenges of nearby golf. It's a small but smart establishment. We had a very warm welcome and the service throughout was excellent. Our starters and main courses were well received all round with emphasis on the seafood choices, although the sea bass turned out to be a bit drier and less imaginative despite the enticing description.

We visit some friends and they booked table there for Dinner ! The food was really good, the staff is very polite and friendly! The place is really clean and the food looks Amazing !!! Definitely recommending if you love Thai food!!!

Stopped in hayling island hotel and used this restaurant for our evening meal. Food was excellent served on time by very polite friendly staff. The bill with a bottle of Chablis was £76 for the 2 of us 3 courses. Would recommend this edtablishment but get there early as gets busy and as normal when that happens the food is slower to arrive. The restaurant was full just as we left so a sign that locals consider it a good place to est.

Ordered a take away from here on Saturday evening. We live in Emsworth and normally go to either Chichester where there are two very good restaurants or Hayling a Island. We did not realise that this restaurant had changed hands but gave it a chance. The previous owners were absolutely great and the food fantastic. I am afraid that I have to agree with some other reviews. The food was absolutely shocking. Nothing we ordered tasted good. Even egg fried rice was tasteless.

This restaurant has been a favourite for some time so we were concerned to find on tonight's visit that it had changed management. We arrived early evening, it wasn't busy but took 20 minutes for our order to be taken including a request for water. We then asked a further 3 times before water was provided. The food was still very good though portions perhaps a little smaller. Unfortunately the new owners did not seem to be able to manage a busy Saturday evening. Our bill was presented without being requested and with no mention of desert. When I queried this I was advised to visit in the week ehen less busy! So in summary still good food but they need to sort the service out, perhaps less focus on the takeaway trade?

Authentic as it gets in the UK. Superb flavours, generous portions, friendly service and fairly priced! Every dish was well presented and tasted mouth wateringly good! A must eat place if you like Thai.

Absolutely delicious! We had a set menu, between two, the green curry was amazing. Service was great, you can request how spicy you want your food, and it’s good value for money.

We ate from the set menu B, which was delicious and a generous portion for 2. We also had the Chilean merlot, which went very well with the meal. The service was attentive and overall an excellent experience. We’ll certainly go back.

this used to be a lovelh place to visit. new owners in the last few weeks and they've destroyed a great business. we went this eveninv fof a meal witb friends; service was arthritically sliw, drinks orders were incorrect and only partly fulfilled, meat was poor quality ( beef a cheap cut, full of fat and gristle) the staff struggled to understand English and we asked 5 ( yes, FIVE) times before we received some water to drink.

I booked this restaurant having read the reviews and on recommendation from a friend who lives on the island. Booked and arrived for 7.30, to see that the place was full, apart from 2 x 4 tables which were empty. We were asked to wait in the corridor, where all the takeaways were being taken from. By 8.10 we were about to go when our table for 2 became available. It took another 5 minutes to get a menu. We ordered drinks and food at the same time, as it was now 8.40. A party of 3 then came in and the process started again. We received our drinks and then our starters, nothing fancy just deep fried prawns. Ok, nothing special.a party of 5 then appeared, having booked, but again, no table was available. They were put on one of the empty 4 tables with an extra chair. After 10 minutes of waiting, not even a menu they had had enough and left. 5 people just put and left and not one of the staff tried to placate them. Back to us, our main meal arrived; me a green curry and my wife a beef stir fry, noodles etc.

Booked a table at this restaurant for last Friday at 7.45pm. At 9.15pm we were still sitting waiting for our food. So, we left, and bought Pot Noodles from Tesco instead. They still tried to charge us for our drinks but I pointed out that they had given us no warning that food would take so long and we had seen plenty of takeaways come and go while we were waiting. Perhaps the new management should just focus on that side of the business, as it seems table service is not a priority for them. Really disappointing, as I have enjoyed this restaurant many times before, and very annoying as we did waste a rare evening off trying to get a meal here.

Having recently moved near by we were pleased to find we had a Thai restaurant near by. We first tried it out ourselves and had a take out.we certainly weren’t disappointed the freshness of it was wonderful and the Veg’s Fantastic .Crisp and fresh.The flavours of the whole meal were superb and we still had beautiful flavours left in our mouth for some time after the meal was finished.So needless to say we have been back a few times since.

My wife had a meal in here and thought it was pretty good, unfortunately when we went back together for the evening, it was anything but...

Had a lovely Thai meal at Niyom restaurant. Great atmosphere and your not sat right on top of each other either. I would recommend that you book a table as it’s quite small. 2 pubs in walking distance too.

We save this restaurant for special occasions, otherwise we worry we would overuse it and not enjoy so much. Easily the best restaurant by far on Hayling and one of the best Thai restaurants i have been to. Usually go for the pre-set meals as they have such a wonderful combination of dishes.
