Nirala in Manchester

I went in to get samosa chaat fifteen minutes after they opened. I was asked to come back in an hour as it would be ready then. So I went back after an hour, and he then told me that I would have to wait two more hours. Poor service.

Brought some koya and it was poor quality. Tried to return and they reluctantly exchanged and even then it was short. The service was beyond poor and the staff were rude careless

Best service ever by shahid bhai. Such a friendly fella from sialkot and a professional cake writer. Will definitely come again. 👍👍

Me and my friend went there to buy some Samose and Pakore. We asked them if they are fresh. Guy with beared asked another worker to go upstairs and get fresh ones. We paid and went in office to open Roza, when we we heated pakore they were like stones and on eating them they felt like a week old. Because of hunger of Roza we had couple each and one samosa each. Whole niht i could not sleep kept visiting toilet and did not eat anything for sahri. These people are not honest at all . Bad customer service. Sell old and expire stuff. I reccomend, if you love your health, do not go and buy anything from there. As there are plenty of other choices around.

We just came out of this shop bacially I was there for a cake and sweets for my sister in laws birthday while I choosing the cake one of the guy just asking to quick choose the cake and I order a cake and then I was asking for sweets they just say it’s going to cold room now. I don’t know what’s wrong with him they close at 11:00 and I was there at 9:45 they just didn’t show any apology for not surving just in broken English it’s going cold room..very unprofessional and disappointing.i will never be back to this shop.

Your employee asked my daughter what was wrong with her face , she was in tears when she returned to the car you should be ashamed of yourself. And before you say this did not happen we have a receipt proof of purchase. And having a rash,spots or a medical skin condition is non of your business, how dare you is that what your the male employees do because we dnt want our daughters being leered at how would you feel if we customers did that to your women. I had paid £10 extra ignorantly buying some mithai on 13th october around 8 evening,on moral ground the sales assistant had the chance to make me realise that I was paying extra and gave it back to me,but he kept that money with him,though to lose 10 pounds as a student is a lesson to learn to be careful in future but it also shows that honesty doesn't exist anymore especially in asians....those 10 pounds aren't going to make me suffer but doesn't make him rich either.the point is please be vigilant on nirala shop in manchester,they aren't the genuine ones,,,,,,[I just took my bank card out of my pocket to pay along with the cash of 26 pounds he hurriedly said you have money paid it and i was zone out I didn't give a second check ,and he keep that extra money .....and I realised when i was half way Towards my home.though the morality is a question now but still be careful the sales assistants are ready to dodge.

The only place where you get mithai same taste as Pakistan, always fresh and mouth watering. Clean place and staff is very friendly too. Always get sweet from this place on our special occasions and never disappointed.

El helado en la inundación tenía mal sabor y era maloliente. Creo que debe haber expirado. El personal era muy grosero y arrogante. Se arruinaron nuestra inundación y no dieron dinero de vuelta tampoco. Estamos teniendo dolores de estómago desde que comimos un poco hasta que descubrimos que está apagado. Fuimos el 21 de agosto alrededor de las 10 y tuvimos la peor experiencia de nuestra vida. No recomiendo este lugar. Creo que las autoridades alimentarias deben tener en cuenta porque Nirala está poniendo en riesgo la salud de las personas. No recomendar a nadie

Had the worst experience with falooda . Ice cream was off and out dated . When we handed over the expired falooda , one of the staff was horrible and didn’t apologise and looked like he didn’t like it when we returned it . They didn’t refund us either . We are regular customers , worst customer service ever at Nirala . So disappointed

This place is a must visit for the flooda lovers. The flooda in this place hits a different level. The sweets are also really nice, the sohan halwa is a favourite of mine.

Excellent. Staff take hygiene seriously here, they wear hair nets and use gloves where needed. Spacious and bright. Professional, pleasant. Generous portions.

I took mix mithai and When i went back home found some pale Smell from the box when i checked it found pista barfi was off and fungus underneath. Being a customer for a long time it dispointed me.

Got a sohan halwa yesterday with active mold on it. The date of production is 3 years back and the labels to expire are stuck by them. Extremely concerned as it is a health and safety issue for public. Charging people for expired and moldy people how it is even alllowed!

Nothing was fresh there cake slices were hard and had a bad taste there ready made packed fridge dessert were not nice you would expect the food would be good would not recommend and will not be going back agin

Sweets shop available all Pakistan and Indian sweets

Bought a cake on eid day, took it to a friends house following morning, when they opened fruits on top were moulded. Just disgusting. I have pictures of it will be uploading on Google to show everyone not to use this place ever again

Just such a shame. Went there on Eid. Bought the sohan halwa. Opened it to find mold. The expiry date is in 2 weeks. Might as well rob people.

Best Mithai in the Manchester but needs more effort in the display area of dairy products because of their expiry date.

I have been a regular customer of your sweets, but I'm deeply concerned about the recurring issue of expired products, particularly Ras Malai and Badam Milk. It appears that expiry dates are being manipulated with stickers, compromising food safety. Recently, my pregnant wife consumed spoiled Badam Milk from your store, which could have had serious health implications. Despite your policy of replacing or refunding for spoiled items, this practice of selling substandard products is unacceptable and poses a health risk to consumers. I urge the management to prioritise food safety and cease the sale of such compromised items. Failure to address this issue will compel me to report this matter to the food safety authorities. In fact I’ve stopped purchasing food from your store to make sure my family’s safety.

Shop was quiet when I went there but their staff is great. They have large variety of cakes with fancy cakes as well. For wedding cakes I would recommend this place because I have seen 4 layer cake with nearly 2.5 feet height cake that surprised me.

Originally came to get luddoos for diwali from another sweet shop but it was closed and Nirala was open. The sweets were absolutely gorgeous. I got coconut gulab jams and motichoor luddoos and namak para savouries too. All sublime.

Bought chocolate cake from Nirala on the eve of my spouse birthday and the cake tasted really delicious and the good part is that the cake is eggless and it really tasted good. Thanks a lot for patiently answering my questions and recommending this cake.

This was the first time I visited Nirala on Wilmslow Road. I asked for a small box with half Barfi and half Laddu. And the guy behind the counter reacted funny and wanted the quantity in grams or Kg. He literally told me off. He just did not wished to serve me. So my husband had to step in and do it. Not nice at all. My experience at Nirala Tooting is always pleasant not so at Wilmslow Road.

Best shop for Asian sweets, cakes and many more items. I live in Rochdale, but when ever I have to buy sweets for my family or to present it to someone I always go to Nirala sweets. The falooda is amazing. They add a sweet brown sauce which makes all the difference. I recommend ordering the falooda without the rooh afza as it is already very sweet. Their samosas are pretty good aswell.

The Faloda was awesome. The Samosa chat and Chana chat offered a zestful spice burst. An unforgettable trip.

Got a Dhai-bale chaat for my mother on her birthday, we were only given a single Dhabi-bale, and the Dhai-bale was cut in half. The chaat filled with yogurt and had no other sauce, absolutely a let down from the usual. Went back and asked for the red-chaatni sauce (can’t remember the name) and was given the sauce but it looked off and orange-y colour, and tasted horrendous, (tasted specifically of Iron)🤢

We always get Falooda from here. Hygiene standards seems upto the mark. Staff is always hospitable. Their Patisa Candy is my kids favorite.

Yesterday which was eid first day I came all the way from Liverpool to Manchester to get Gajjar Ka Halwa, when I check it at home it was stale and mouldy and u can smell sourness, I'm so much angry and stressed while writing this, please avoid this place I won't recommend it in million years

Over priced! Parking is a pain there as well, very lucky if you get one or don’t get ticket… 1KG mix sweets costs 15£ same you can get from somewhere else for 12£..

I don’t understand this place may look pretty but it’s not as good as Sanam. Nirala is for those who like their stuff extra sweet and firm. You know like the cheap fudge that’s really really hard, I prefer the softer almost chewier fudge. Does that make sense? Does my fudge talking make sense? My dad prefers this place and my mum prefers Sanam. Which is funny because my mum has the sweet tooth which contradicts my fudge theory. P

Love nirala the quality of all their products is amazing

Visited Nirala in Rusholme recently. Disgusting he was touching his private parts and then using plastic bag in one hand to handle the food. Will not be visiting again. The drains on curry mile smell like hell and seem to be blocked. A major clean up operation needs to take place. Will not be visiting the curry mile again. Will go to Longsight instead.

Was actually heading to Deli Sweet Centre but spotted Nirala and decided to try it. So glad we did! The samosa chaat was unreal. I've tried a few places before and it's just 1 samosa with a bit of salad chickpeas and 1 chutney. This one from Nirala was made with effort and love. The layers and amount of everything was the perfect proportions. I ended up going in for another to take to work tomorrow. The staff are super friendly and he suggested I take the samosa and the chaat/chutneys separately and put together myself. That's exactly what I wanted. I'll DEFINITELY be going again. A++++

Paid £8 for 3 underrated cakes, when we got home we opened the box to find the sponge and cream for the ferro rocher cake was off and had mould on it, it was absolutely stinking. The 2 chocolate ones were okay but 100% not worth the money we paid. Would not recommend to my worst enemy and will 100% not be back. Disgusting.

I came across this shop whilst on Winslow Road, Manchester. The store was very clean, had a large variety of Mithai, pakistani biscuits, cakes, and different other asian sweet delicacies. I purchased 2 portions of 1/2 kg pakistani Bakharhaniya, which came to £17.00. I do think that's a bit much. I was expecting around £12, £13 as that the price similar store sell their 1kg biscuits for.

First time visiting this evening at the Manchester branch and first time visiting a Uk branch of Nirala, having previously only visited branches in Lahore and Faisalabad. Very clean shop , attentive staff and a huge variety or Mithai, biscuits, cakes and other asian sweet delicacies. Definitely will visit again, yummy 😋

Best samosas in town. Love their dahi bhallay too. They have a great variety of Pakistani sweets, purely authentic.

Hi Nirala Management, This is not to criticize you guys. Just a feedback for the improvement. Yesterday (25-July-2022) I have purchased a cake worth 24 GBP, but it was so hard and the whole family members (especially the birthday Girl) were disappointed with the quality of its making. We suspect it may be of few days old. However I will be more happy if my feedback is helpful to you.

Great variety, very friendly staff.

Nirala is a great place for everyone with a sweet tooth, looking for lovely fresh birthday (or other event) cakes. They also have a great variety of Indian sweets (mithai). They are dearer than others BUT well worth the extra you pay for peace of mind within their product freshness, quality, looks, packaging etc, which is vital when you are celebrating a dear ones birthday or other event. We have probably bought three or four Nirala cakes plus their Indian sweets, and each time they have proved astounding! Enjoy your trip to Nirala's beautiful outlet at Rusholme's Curry Mile and enjoy their cakes plus Indian sweets to MAX!

I've been a few times and had no problems. I placed a large order on Friday for Gajrela and by Saturday it all had mold on it. Completely ruined our plans and wasted out money. Need I say more.

(granted i do not have much experience with Indian or Pakistani sweets prior coming to Manchester, i was on a crazy hunt for the best badam burfi, jalebi and gulab jamun once). while this sweet shop has a bit of a price premium compared to the other sweet shops on the same road, it’s definitely justified by the more premium quality of the sweets! they have the best gulab jamun and badam burfi for sure. the gulab jamun here somehow has a more complex flavour profile and i can’t pinpoint the subtle additional flavour - slightly citrusy? caramelly? not sure. but it’s amazing. the badam burfi is fragrant here, not just plain milky sugary taste. slightly inconsistent sometimes, but always so good. totally recommend going here! minimum £5 for card

Great people, I went late closing time I explained the situation and they served me. I always go back for a nice Chocolate cake, really delicious. Great prices for the different sizes and good portions.

Selling Expired sweets. Purchased 7 Box of 1 KG total 7KG. Sweets were at least couple of weeks old and hard. Complaint on the shop and in London Head office. Looks they don't bother about customers. Complaint Council and Trading standards. Hopefully will be checked by them. **Avoid them**
