1st time ordering from here and it was excellent, will definitely be ordering again don't change the curry sauce

Really enjoyed our vegan dishes. Roast alternative duck, vegan prawns, Singapore noodles and vegan sweet and sour chicken balls were really tasty. Even our children tried and enjoyed the dishes. Will definitely try again next time in Folkestone.

Food was not good chowmain was flavourless and had no colour tasted like it had been run ender a tap duck was not crispy just soggy and fatty and smelled like wet dog not really happy at all but you win some and loose some and I guess I will avoid next time

Vegan Food is very greasy oily Vegan chicken needs to be changed imo Could be so much better and enjoyable, use to get Chinese 2 times a month but I don't bother anymore Perhaps you guys need a new vegan menu :)

Terrible food will not be returning , “crispy” aromatic duck was soggy and tasted like it had just been seasoned with Asda Chinese 5 spice ! Batter was horrible on the prawn balls , and chicken and noodle soup tasted like dirty cabbage water ! If it had 0 stars it would’ve got that

Avoid, I ordered vegetable vermicelli noodles and was ill immediately after eating this. I've been ill for almost a week now.

Best Chinese takeaway in Folkestone, cheeper going and get it, rather than Justeat, pleasant chat with serving lady while you wait. Great food, good value, especially the special offer meals for one where you get XL portions of various Chinese staples with rice or noodles for about £7.

Card machine was playing up. No food but money taken. Went into see them after bank statement showed amount taken. They had all the details ready to show us mistake. Apologies offered although probably not their mistake No quibbles, we were offered money back. Great customer service.

Arguably one of the BEST Chinese take aways in Folkestone by far! I've been going to this establishment for years to satisfy my Chinese food craving and they always deliver punctually with great phone service and of course delicious food. One time I did have an issue with my order (due to the platform I ordered from rather than the restaurant itself) however as soon as I contacted them the issue was dealt with swiftly and made me feel very valued as a customer. Times are tougher than ever right now and the fact this company can continue to go above and beyond for customer satisfaction and great tasting dishes says a lot about their staff and their passion for cooking. Delivery is always prompt and the drivers are so friendly with food always piping hot and handled with care, it puts the bigger companies delivery drivers to shame. I will always be a loyal customer to 9 Dragons, I'm just upset I have no pictures of my meal tonight but to say I was hungry was an understatement. Keep up the good work guys! 176 x

Cannot fault this place. The menu is huge with incredible selection, more than what I see in other places so I'm never going to get bored. Even just the chips are prepared amazingly and are crisped and crunched to perfection. The spiced chips? God if you have the money, get them, absolute perfection. Tons of tofu options which are common in east asia and yet are always missing on takeaway menus here. All are super tasty, vegan alternatives are great too, do try even if you eat meat. Service is lovely, god bless them for dealing with everyone so well just down the road from some rowdy places. Prompt and great service.

Food arrived over an hour late, was lukewarm at best. This isn't the first time the food has been late but it will be the last. Terrible customer service too.

Food delivered 2 and half hours after ordering rang endless times no answer at all. Food arrived cold and completely tasteless worst money I've ever spent will not be using again.

Ordered the new salt and pepper box, fed 2 of us and it was lovely. Will definitely order again!!

I last ate from nine Dragons in 2021 and it was really good so I was very disappointed with this less than good take away and service. Firstly, I would say that the chips were good and the curry sauce was good. Among other things we ordered duck in plum sauce and chicken in yellow bean sauce and crispy pork balls. The duck had large bits of fat and soggy skin on and the light brown thin sauce was very greasy, tasting of very little with lots of pieces of pineapple. No hint of plum sauce at all. The chicken in yellow bean was chicken smeared with a purple coloured substance that could have passed as a plum sauce. We thought that the two dishes had been mixed up so we called the shop. She said that's how we cook the duck so I suggest you don't order that again. She agreed to change it but not the "yellow" bean dish. The new duck dish came with less flavour than the first so it went in the bin. £13 wasted out of £66! The pork balls contained a reddish meat which ive never seen in this dish ever, but we guessed it was barbecued pork but a lot of them were more fat than meat. We couldn't be bothered to argue about this one. Had we been offered a better solution we may have used this place again but the poor customer service has put us off going back in the future.

We always order from 9 Dragons on Just Eat, it is very tasty and fresh. On time and delivered straight to our front porch. No problems. The Vegetarian and Vegan options are great. We shall be ordering more over the year.

Really enjoyed the food . Lots of fresh veg in the veg fried rice ..ginger and spring onion chicken was gentley gingery...and matt ..who introduced himself...the delivery driver got it here quickly and hot .yum

Ordered Special fried rice, chicken chow mien and chicken curry £17.50 ….. Got home had the Generic special fried and Generic chicken chow mien but the chicken curry was not chicken curry it was pork and it was the worst pieces of pork I’ve ever been served anywhere , just fatty strips of rubbery tough meat !!!!! Will not be using ever again .

Seems to get worse and worse each time we order. Either forgotten dishes, cold food or wrong dish. My main dish was missing tonight, still waiting for it to arrive over 30mins after our meal turned up. Curry was cold. They don't seem that bothered.

This takeaway seems to have been taken over by new management, because we used to order from here all the time. We won't be doing that anymore. To start, the lady on the phone was very rude to my mum. The lady didn't understand what she was saying, even when clearly saying the food items. Part of our order was a Chicken Chow Mein with no peas. This took several attempts to get across to her. We were told that it would be a 45-60 minute wait, which for a Saturday we were expecting. After 75 minutes the food still had not arrived, and after two phone calls with the lady (first one telling us it was on its way, and then another one 10 minutes later saying bluntly "I know, it's on it's way"), we decided to cancel. The takeaway location is 5 minutes from us. After telling them we cancelled, the food showed up. The Chow Mein was, quite frankly, the worst one I've ever had. There was no sauce, and it was only dry noodles and pieces of chicken - no veggies, beansprouts of any kind. Don't waste your time on this takeaway place, go somewhere else.

Avoid this place and do not waste your money. I ordered from ‘Nine Dragons’ a couple months ago and as a food technologist I do not recommend it to others. I ordered chicken balls and rice with chicken. Sauce for prawns crackers was awful and uneatable, as it tasted like a fermented wine. Rice was dry, chewy and had no flavour at all. Food quality was very poor. I will not come back.

First time use. Tofu in black bean sauce was ok, not bad flavour, bit sweet, but was very oily. Other dishes were OK. Rice noodles had a bit of a burnt taste. Salt and pepper chicken was a bit under spiced. This certainly was not the best chinese takeaway but it is also not the worst that I have had. Would probably use again.

Love this food, brilliant choice of vegan and vegetarian options. Curry sauce here isn’t my favourite, needs to be more spicy. They should start a loyalty scheme 😊

I have ordered from 9 dragons for many years and always enjoyed it and recommended to others, I brought this tonight as I've not had a Chinese for a while on my order was chicken balls chips spring rolls and other things everything that battered and the chips were all burnt and un eatable had to throw the lot in bin I will never order from here again total waste of £30. Had to rate a star above but truth be told I would put no stars.

Best Chinese food in Kent - we travel from Canterbury as it's so good. Fantastic veggie options. Sweet + sour vegan "chicken" balls, salt + chill tofu, vegan satay chicken - all amazing. Lovely people too.

Very disappointed as my food took 3 hours to be delivered. I chased after the first 1.5 hours and they said only another 20min wait. Sadly 45mins later I had to chase again. The food was nice (if a little cold) when it arrived 3 hours after the order was made. If you are too busy to fulfill all your orders in the time promised then you must stop accepting orders. Disappointing end to the week!

The best takeaway in Folkestone. Always consistent. We do tend to order the same dishes but thats because they.are so good every time..salt&chilli ribs are the best. The chicken vermicelli is great..full of tasty breast slices..delicious !

Avoid this place at all costs. Ordered through Just Eat, delivery times pushed back time and time again then when I phoned they told me I had cancelled the order, when I hadn't, the app continued to tell me the order would be with me soon. There's definitely some dishonesty here as the girl on the phone told me the food hadn't even started to be prepared, bearing in mind I ordered at 7:23pm and I made the chaser call at 10:05pm, which was the point I was told I'd cancelled the order, which is untrue. Any reputable business would turn customers away if it couldn't handle the demand - clearly they were not coping but still happy to accept customer's money. I have requested a refund through Just Eat and will be persuing this if it doesn't materialise.

My neighbour and I ordered from here last night. She did via the just eat app at 6.50 (to get delivered to her house) said they didnt open till 7.50 and delivery was 8.50. She phoned and they said would be 20 mins, she then phoned again after waiting abit and then said it was with the driver. It eventually turned up at 9.50 and warm so mine ended up in the bin. I understand that all takeaways are very busy, mayb we wasnt a priority as we wasnt a regular customer but I think they need to be honest with customers and give them a realistic time for delivery so then customers can make there mind up if their happy to wait that long. Sadly wont be using them again.

Haven't had my food delivered yet but happy with the customer services on the phone. Unfortunate everyone had to leave him negative reviews after only just re opening. Support your local chinese.. Cant wait for my food🤞 Claire.M

So pleased to see vegan options advertised on a takeaway like this so had to give it a try. Very happy with the result, I had "chicken" in black bean sauce and szechuan "chicken" and both were great. Also so helpful to talk through all the options on the menu, which dish contains which ingredients etc. Will definitely be back again.

Lovely food as always and lovely service. After using this place on many occasions this was the first time our food was late, when I phoned to ask how long the gentleman on the phone was very apologetic and lovely and handled my query wonderfully. The delivery driver is always so happy and smiley too! I dont use any other Chinese takeaway now!!

The BEST chinese I've ever had and literally the best Customer service in the world . I was in the Doghouse staying in the burstin for the night so he brought me dishes and cutlery etc genuinely the nicest guy !

Good food that comes in very generous portion sizes. Service is top drawer. We order regularly and once there was a mistake which was rectified and compensated quicker than lightning! Owner and delivery drivers are friendly, helpful and professional. Very much recommend.

Was so hungry but ended up so disappointed, the chicken was that awful white soft unmeat like texture and no taste pineapple, and carrots that I couldn’t even bite into ? Avoid

Finally a good Chinese takeaway in Folkestone! Decent veggie options and I like the slightly unusual twist on 'vegetarian chicken'. Food was really tasty and not swimming in oil and overcooked like so many Chinese takeaways are. Lovely fresh veg in all the dishes (including the non-vegetarian ones) and nothing frozen from a packet. Friendly guy delivered the food. Reasonable price. It took an hour but they told us in advance and it was a Saturday night so we haven't taken a star off the rating. Our new fave home delivery place :)
