What a great venue, staff always friendly, fabulous selection of wine and great cocktails. Particularly love it in the cellar!

Great place, we called in and had a beer and cheese and meat plate. All ingedients were quality, the wine list was impressive. The food was excellent as was the service. Will definitely return.

Without doubt the best cheese toastie I have ever had ,proper quality cheeses ,truly indulgent , and lovely coffee too , friendly staff and reasonable prices ...what's not to like ....

Weve been meaning to come here for a while after hearing of wine and cheese toasties, we werent dissapointed! Busy for 6pm on a friday but were seated immediately downstairs. Really nice vibe and server was attentive. We had a carafe of Bulgarian wine (amazing), gildas and the paprika dusted crips with aoli (also amazing) whilst waiting for the best cheese toastie weve had in a while- oozing with 3 diffeerent cheeses in and toasted to perfection (sounds simple I know but when its done properly its unbeatable!). Table water was topped up throughout and all staff look like they enjoy working there! Really glad we can help small businesses as Cardiff is being taken over by big chains! Cant wait to go back!

Following a recommendation, we discovered this great little bar. The atmosphere was friendly and inviting and whilst busy we were able to sit and chat without the need to shout. The table service was also a welcome plus. The drinks menu offered a great choice and opportunity to try out some new drinks..namely wine slushies! Absolutely delicious! We also tried the espresso martini, French 75 and the incredible bloody Mary with beer chaser! Hands down the best bloody Mary I have ever tried. Will definitely be back next time I'm in Cardiff.. looking forward to try one of the delicious looking toasties.

I visited with 2 friends late last Saturday. We'd already eaten dinner but fancied a nice glass of wine. The staff were so knowledgeable and friendly. We had a great time there and will definitely be back. Despite being full we sampled some cheese which was yummy! Bring on the cheese toasties next time! :o)

Absolutely fabulous (and inclusive) spot in Central Cardiff. Wonderful and knowledgeable friendly staff, a fun wine list, and the best toastie I've ever had. Any suggestion that this place is non inclusive is absolutely ridiculous.

Homophobia is alive and well here - will never return. Have been here one before and wished to return as always nice to support independent businesses. After a superb meal and service in the newly opened Gaucho we want to have a night cap before catching train home. Its only a small place and it was busy though there were 2 empty stools. One had the bag on it of the lady sitting on next stool. The waitress said we couldn't sit there and instead ushered us into the arcade to the very last table further up. Now when the arcade is open these tables are nice but at night when the arcade is closed off no atmosphere at all. We went back in and asked the lady if you could sit at the 2 free stools. She replied of course and furthermore said she was just leaving anyway. Whilst then waiting to be served the owner came over to us and accused us of making the customer feel uncomfortable and that we had no right to ask to sit there. As you can imagine we were gobsmacked. The waitress had clearly lied as none of that was true. The owner was having none of it and asked us to step outside to continue the conversation. He was so rude to us. No customer service skills at all. It was clear that he didn't want us in his winebar but was happy that we go in a quiet corner of the arcade. It was very apparent his only reason for this behaviour was Homophobia. I have never experienced this before and when we pointed this out he walked off. We were really upset and shaken up afterwards

Very cosy wine bar that also serves beer and other drinks. Staff is very friendly and service is quick. We've been here twice now.

What a great little find! We called in for coffee in the morning and were so impressed with the service we returned for a late lunch and drinks a few hours later. Beautiful selection of wines and food, knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff and great surroundings to soak in - what more can you ask for? The barman/manager/owner(?) gave us plenty of tips for other places to go whilst we were in Cardiff and was really generous with his time and attention which we really appreciated. Would highly recommend giving this place a try - you won't be disappointed, and the frosé (frozen rosé) was amazing!

We were looking for a quick bite to eat for lunch and stumbled upon this lovely little place. While we weren’t looking for wine, the food was absolutely delicious!!! Very friendly service and couldn’t recommend it more highly. My husband and I had a cheese toastie and the charcuterie (selection of meat and cheese with toast). Both served with gorgeous chutney. “The was superb” no further words are necessary!!

Had some drinks here and an amazing cheese toastie. This contained the house blend of cheese and some fennel salami. WOW… This is the perfect place for a light bite and a quiet chat. I love it, and so will you! Highly recommended!!

Visited Cardiff for a few days and came across this gem opposite the castle. Warm welcome by a knowledgeable team who were happy to spend time talking about their unusual and delicious wines. They sell delicious cheese toasties too! Will definitely visit again.

Loved this place! Enjoyed a carafe of beautiful Italian red. Delicious. Staff friendly and welcoming , nice atmosphere. Seating available outside in the arcade if it gets busy. Blankets and lanterns so cosy and atmospheric. Great location (used to be The Welsh Cauldron years ago)....

Really lovely place this - been here a few times and would highly recommend. The team will go over and above with service and nothing is too much. Really relaxed and definitely one we’ll keep coming back to
