Amazing food 10/10 Must try Chicken sarma beyti, Chicken Shish and don't forget Baklava it is very delicious

Nice restaurant, very helpful staff and amazing food.

This is one of the best Turkish restaurants I've eaten at. We were visiting for the weekend and will return to Clacton to eat here. The food is flavourful, ripe, zesty and fresh. The meat is delicate, charred and delicious with layers of luscious taste. Our waiter Lucas was an absolute gentleman. Another point to mention is that this is a fantastically old-school restaurant which prides itself on first class service and excellent pricing. I wish more places were still like this. If you have one night in town then this is the place to go. I would travel from London just for this.

Great food, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and reasonable prices. Great place to eat out with friends, didn't feel rushed to eat and leave.

Saturday night was busy. Therefore the wait for our meal was almost an hour. Staff were apologetic. Salad and bread first - nice touch. But would prefer it came together with the meal which arrived 50 mins after. By then we were ravenous and the plate of food looked pretty empty. Left hungry and a bit disappointed

Beautiful freshly cooked food, great service

This place is spacious and clean, with friendly staff. Unfortunately, the food doesn't live up to the rest of the experience. We ordered a platter for four to five people and waited a long 40 minutes for it to arrive. When it finally did, the lamb chops were overcooked and tough, and the rice was bland. While the location is convenient, the quality of the food is disappointing.

Busy restaurant, clean, starter, and main course very nice sea bream little on thin side

First time visiting the place . So glad to taste traditional Turkish cuisine. Yummy 😋 😋. The service was quick and the staff were very friendly.

Please do not order the creamy kitchen if you come here. It’s the worst thing I have ever tried. However, the grill section was alright, flavours were good but the portion sizes were disappointing considering the pricing. Service was decent and the two of the waitresses in particular were very friendly and welcoming.

If you have time and money to waste than this is the best place! Service is terrible with deadly faces, can not even serve a glass of water or pmserve a lemonade properly. Waitresses dont know what food or drinks are available, so you have to point out from the menu what you want. Compared to other Turkish restaurants, you have to ask for hot bread and wait for half an hour, then ask for sauces - and wait, and even ask for small things like paper napkins. Nothing special about the food, meagre portions which is too expensive for the quantity and taste. Drinks and food are left in the middle of the table, so you have to decide what is what and for whom! Overall, one is all it takes to avoid this place in the future.

Came here for lunch today with my family. The food was absolutely delicious. Ordered the Newroz special platter and a mixed grill with a few starters. The children and I enjoyed every bite. Would definitely come back again if we were local.

It’s absolutely delicious but I’ve had to wait 90 minutes for my food to be delivered. But was told 60 mins. So order early and put a time required on there.

Wonderful service, great Head of House, beautiful waitresses , friendly and courteous, food amazing, went for the mixed chicken and lamb shish/kofta so we could share, got salad, rice, bread and dips, all for £50 inc 2 wines and a coke , I think value for money and a nice experience, only grumble ……. Parking, partner is disabled so had 2 park 2 streets away and table was booked for 6.30 and was packed with families which I haven’t got a problem with but the screaming and running around by the small children was a bit much, by 7.30 they had left and calm was restored and people could enjoy their meals , would highly recommend

Absolutely fantastic food! The best ribs I've had at any restaurant. Both meals was really fresh, well seasoned and tasty! We could not stop talking about how much we enjoyed the food. Totally recommend if you're in the area. The waitress was also very lovely!! Deserve the 5 stars

Wow! Amazing experience. I have visited Clacton for my holiday in the van and this is my new local!! Very nice food the chicken is nice and fresh just like the rest of the food. Rodi was our waiter and he helped with everything to make our experience 10/10. The cocktails are a lovely touch. I tried a different restaurant this one is much better and next to the pier too even better. Well done guys x

This is from my experience in late 2023. I left a review with their follow-up email, but it was never published. So, They put a menu through my letterbox in 2023 so I decided to order a takeaway that came to around £35 inc delivery charge. I was told it would an hour - fine with me and pretty good time for a Saturday evening. I’m less than 2 miles from the restaurant. An hour and 15 minutes later and no delivery so I ring up to inquire. “It will be with you in 15 minutes”. 15 minutes later, no delivery, so I ring again. “We are really busy, can you come and collect your order?” Err, I paid an extra charge for delivery, will you re-imburse me? And I thought it was on its way to me? “It will be with you in 15 minutes” ????? Delivery arrives 20 minutes later, near to damn cold. Delivery driver hesitates on my doorstep expecting a tip(?). Jog on buddy! I heat it up and salvage what i can and it still tastes surprisingly good. Would I order again? Nope. Sorry.

Welcoming & friendly staff. The grill was well seasoned, fresh and tasty. Starter and mains came out just in time. bread was soft and fluffy, drinks very flavorful. Overall a fantastic visit, reasonably priced & will visit again.

Went to Clacton to the theatre and had time to eat, not having been to Clacton for years came across the Newroz completely by chance, brilliant food and excellent service recommend the Newroz friendly staff if we go to Clacton again we will definitely visit.

Lovely food WHEN you can get it delivered, the last 2 times we've ordered the service has been terrible the first time we had an issue wasn't really their fault as just eat didn't assign a driver but at no time did anyone try to contact us to inform us of any issues but the last time which was tonight 29/03 the order was cancelled when the app said the driver was at the restaurant waiting to collect and then without reason Order CANCELLED and as this is looking to be the norm for new Roz"s service they will not be having my custom again. 10 minutes after posting this review had an interesting development where new Roz called our number and said that the driver took the food out to us and claimed that we cancelled the order and returned it which something neither of us expected to happen from them, if the restaurant is to busy to fulfil their delivery orders they should closed their just eat ordering system rather then lie and try to blame us and as you can see from the attached photo we did NOT cancel the order.

Great restaurant, with a varied menu and sharing dishes. Veggie options. Food is alway great here, never been let down. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good atmosphere. They take cash as well as card Parking outside and along road.

What a fabulous place in every way. Food was totally delicious and plenty of it. Great portions. Service and staff second to none. So friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was great. Birthday party groups. Family parties. Just wonderful. Highly recomend this restaurant. We shall definitely be back.

The reason I am giving 4* for atmosphere is because I hadn't visited in years and I visited recently for a staff evening since it was taken over again, but as it has special events on I would have to visit on another night to give a clear marking of the extra star. As soon as I walked through the doors I was warmly welcomed with a smile as I approached the bar and ordered a Cocktail of choice which was very enjoyable and caught sight of the fresh food being cooked through the open kitchen area, I went to this evening with my daughter where we took our seat, we were given a starter of the fresh food and this was topped up when run low, the waiter and waitress were very polite. This later was cleared away for the main dish to arrive at the table. Taking a look at the menu firstly to check out another Cocktail of choice as it was a long time since having an evening out did notice that the prices were quite high for my normal purse but from the food that was delivered to the table I think could reflect the price listed what you would pay out. The staff were lovely and accommodating and I would certainly visit again for another meal in the future. My only gripe would be that the table should have been one long table rather than top table with 2 long tables either side, missed time talking to my other work family members on that evening.

Food was not bad, we order mix kebab, portion was small and rice was cold.

Honestly the best food clacton has to offer, great vaule for money. Celebrated my daughter's 16th. The staff were so lovely and suprised us all with ending the night with the disco ball being turned on and a traditional happy birthday being sang!! Will definitely be returning. Everything was amazing. The chef is fantastic.

A hidden gem that we didn't even know existed until we went there, we shared a platter for 2 and could not finish it so portion sizes are good, the food was well cooked, delicious and well presented. The staff and owners are very polite and friendly as well as a clean well presented building, as a place to eat this place deserves a full 5 stars because the atmosphere was great too. Went here on 21st December for my sister's birthday meal. Lovely food again as we have been about four times now. The staff are all lovely and attentive. Very friendly and nice restaurant to eat at any time.

The food was very delicious, also great service. A highly recommended Halal place. But the prices are bit too high. We ordered 1 King Prawn, 1 LambChop, 1 Lamb Shish Iskander and 1 Cadburry Flakes Ice-cream. It costed us £57.

Visited at lunch time and it was a bit quiet bit I understand the evenings are a lot more busy. Great set lunch menu and amazing value. Staff are friendly and not overbearing

Wowww First time here this evening and all I can say is wowww. From the minute we walked in to the minute we left, the experience was amazing. The staff were fantastic and so friendly, the service was proper old school, chairs being pulled out for us and doors opened and on top of this the food was superb. Actually didn’t want to leave. Will definitely 1000% be back and if you haven’t yet been here, I strongly recommend that you do. Best restaurant in Clacton, well done Newroz

Family of 12 enjoyed a wonderful pre-Christmas meal. The food was absolutely outstanding. Presented beautifully....we had 3 platters, amazing selection of meats and rice etc. Lucas our waiter was very attentive. Excellent value for money, you really do get what you pay for. Please do not be put off by negative reviews, we could not fault our experience and give 5 stars for food, service and value for money. We all left very full and very happy....thank you

We came here 3 years ago when they opened and we’re back in Clacton again so came back for another fantastic meal and weren’t disappointed! Great food and service!

Clean Pleasant and well run establishment, whereby you are greeted with a warm welcome. Plenty of space for large parties. Traditional menu however, a wow factor is missing in terms of flavour including the drinks.

Had to go get my son in law a kebab when we left four pieces of chicken a few slices of bread for the four of us and one bowl of salad to share for 14.95 lunch menu and a very small plate of humus I took photos also when I said to the waiter about the extra small portions he said everything has gone up stood staring at us and giggling with a girl waitress was charged extra for a bit more salad tiny bowl of chillie sauce one tiny spoon full each I live in clacton my daughter was down for the day will not be returning and also telling all my friends to avoid this place

Been here a few times and usually really satisfied. Visited today, opted in for the lunch menu what we usually order. Extremely small portions 4 cubes of chicken, one small bowl of salad between 3 people, we ordered x3 hummus and it was absolutely tiny just thinly spread on the plate with 1 piece of bread each. I’m really sad to write this as I’ve been going here for ages and usually rave about it but cutting the portions down this small is so disappointing. The waiter was extremely rude today and stared at us the entire time while we was eating. What a shame you’ve let the restaurant go down hill like this… paid £65 for 4 cubes of chicken each, walked out of there still really hungry. Hopefully writing this review the manager will take into consideration as the waiter clearly didn’t care for our feedback and made us feel uncomfortable with his sly remarks eg, the portions have been cut back smaller as everything has gone up, which I understand however the price is cheap to start with.

2nd time we have eaten in this restaurant and the service and food are exceptional. This time we took our 2 grandchildren. Starters great especially the spicy sausage, good portions. Can’t fault anything will definitely be back again. Sorry I did not take any photos but will definitely do this next time.

Visited restaurant on 1st impressions restaurant looking great welcome by staff friendly ordered starters king prawns and halloumi really nice my husband had the liver large portions my husband said it was cold in places 🤢 Restaurant gave free bread dips and salad was delicious 😌 Was really looking forward to the mains🙏 well it went down hill very quickly we both order klefiko PLEASE AVIOD AT ALL COSTS house specials was more like house disaster, it was RANK,COLD FATTY and INSTANT MASH POTATOE. was not SERVED in a clay pot it was like slop in a bowl absolutely DISGUSTING it was microwave lamb and instant mash looked like a lamb stew done by an amture. a chef can only cook with ingredients he is given so don't blame chef intirley, Other dishes coming out like the kebabs looked nice.

Once again,Newroz has surpassed it's quality of food,service,and ambience. It never fails to disappoint 👍😊 Love this place

I don’t leave many reviews unless it’s REALLY good or bad. Newroz was phenomenal. From Lahmacun, Adana, and Lamb Ribs to the humus, tabule, and cacik…it was all perfect. Highly recommend to anyone and everyone! My wife, daughter, and I shared the platter for two and easily have a full lunch covered tomorrow.

We have eaten at Newroz a few times (and had takeaway a few times) but never written a review. Food has always been fantastic, and for the quality very reasonable. This time we were 9 people, and we hit the sharing platters, everything was great, but a special mention for the lamb chops, so juicy and tender. Our son (and family) live in Clacton and this is definitely our favourite restaurant in Clacton.

I was staying overnight in Claiton recently and rather than dine in the hotel I found this place on trip advisor and I was soon seated by the helpful staff and ordering my food. The food is outstanding, tasty, authentic and very reasonably priced. I enjoyed a mixed grill which was one of the best meals I’ve eaten this year. Along with complimentary breads/salads and a bottle of Efes the bill was just over £20. Absolute bargain for the quality. Give this place a try if your in the area.

Husband took me here for a suprise for my birthday!!! Lots on the menu to choose from!! We had the cold meze wil high all was freshly done!! For mains we had mixed grill which all come hot!! Staff were all friendly and helpful!! Well recommended

We have been going here for lunch quite a number of times now and enjoyed the food and service every time. Today was no exception, it did not disappoint. Freshly cooked , lovely bread salads,dips arrived with starters. There’s a special lunch menu of two courses for £14.95 which we generally have. Excellent value generous portions. Always a friendly welcome. Effies beer is nice too.
