Outstanding customer service by the entire team. Not a single issue whether with food, services, staff. BRILLIANT! Breakfast was beautiful!!

Food is quite small portions for the price, was cold, warm at best. Every time I've been its the same. Place was clean, staff were lovely. Quick service.

Overall a good experience. Kids had a great time at the soft play.

Really good pub,staying next door at the premier inn, it's convenient well priced and great value.The staff are excellent, even accomodating me for a carvery on mother's day when they were fully booked...highly recommend 😀

Food was great but air conditioning was too fierce, I was too cold! Maybe it's to make you eat up and leave!

We come here often and I never have any complaints, food always really nice and staff helpful and friendly, my son is forever in the soft play lol. I have to say that Sarah goes above and beyond! She helped me out the other day with my little boy and she also helped with my sons Birthday party a few weeks ago, she really is a star 🌟 Thank you!

Servers are no where to be found. Rude staff. People finding hair in their food, cold food and takes an hour to even get a starter. We waited for over an hour to get our starters cleaned and our main out. Meals were very small portions and cold. One staff member should be paid more as she did more work than anyone there, brunette girl ended up serving us as our server disappeared, and we had to ask our old server to clean our table as we were finished for the last hour. Overall wont be back again.

The food was ok but let down by a few dishes not being hot enough on the Sunday lunch the breakfast the following morning was not hot enough and poor selection

Children's paradise with integrated softplay, but extremely noisy for more than 10 children. Second choice food.

Just a pub with horrible food. Witnessed more than one person complaining about the food. Peas are fresh straight out of a can and must sit outside for a while before being put on the plate. 8oz steak is really half size 8oz. The picture is allegedly salt & pepper calamari. The didn’t say that the dog chews it before you get it and have to pay about £7 for the privilege.

A very budget friendly experience during the afternoon with a decent selection of good food.

Very sad ! We arrived on a Sunday evening at 21:30 to be told the Kitchen was closed , although official closing time was 22:30 ! Ok fine we accepted this . Went for breakfast on Monday Am at 09:15 and we were told " Sorry if you have not booked breakfast we can not offer you anything , we are running out of food . " Wow ...... poor management in my opinion . Prime location , yet loosing very very important business opportunities/ business growth ! All the best !

Ordered food with comes with about 10 chips and a small sized steak burger over priced for food provided should went the Chinese.....

Just stopped in for a drink. Staff friendly, atmosphere quaint. Didn't eat, so can't sat about food quality.

The food tastes great. I had one of the value meals twice (on different days). At £5 a portion you really can't complain. The restaurant looks very authentic inside. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is also located directly on the beach and has an outdoor area, which is certainly an inviting place to linger in the summer. You can park for free for up to 3 hours directly in front of the restaurant. The license plate number must be provided in the restaurant to use this service (but it is signposted everywhere).

The employees are super friendly. The food is inexpensive and delicious. The service is very accommodating. The atmosphere suits Edinburgh. Gladly again!

Having eaten at many Brewers Fayre establishments as we travel around in our motorhome,this is by far THE WORST. We both ordered a mixed grill,and what we were served was absolutely shocking. As always,the first thing I do is cut into the steak to see if it was cooked as requested,and it was medium rare … perfect. Unfortunately,that was the only good thing we could say about the meal. The sausage were obviously left over from breakfast,and the tiny pieces of gammon & chicken had been pre cooked. This was evident as all items were stone cold,they had forgotten to reheat them. If you are in the area and looking for food,do yourself a favour,DO NOT come here.

We love to go for the unlimited breakfast. Yesterday (3 December 2024) we went for breakfast for my husband’s birthday. We had to wait very long before anyone helped us at the door…then the cashier was extremely rude when helping us. We had to wait for ages for a new plate of eggs and beans to arrive. Only 2 staff members were working and there were NO communication with customers, although they could see we were all waiting for the food. This was the worst experience ever!! Will not be back….

We ate here with our son for the first time and used the soft play area. The lady working was lovely and kept the tables cleared and helped us sign in but the soft play has a lot to be desired. It could be great but it desperately needs a clean and some updated soft play items. Food was fine but a little overpriced.

A bit disappointing, had pie and mash. Not sure if the mash was powdered or not had strange taste and the helping was tiny!

I mean it's a brewers fayre you know what you're getting. The view is decent at sunset mind with the lighthouse and harbour n that.

Dinner was below average, terribly small portions. I appreciate that it's a family orinated pub,but the behaviour of the young children was shocking,The mothers were steaming and incapable of watching their children, yet bar staff served them alchohall. Won't be back.

The breakfasts here are great value, especially if you have kids as they eat free with a paying adult. The food is great quality and plentiful, all that would make it better would be cooked vegetarian alternatives and some gluten-free toast. The staff are really lovely and helpful despite being obviously incredibly busy and the place is always well-kept and clean. Overall excellent value and a great, welcoming atmosphere.

Came along late afternoon and was warmly greeted at the door by Michelle. I was only in for a quick coffee, hoped to sit outside in the good weather and ordered with Jasmine, who helped me with the coffee machine and finding the outdoor seating. Good coffee, nice clean location, and super friendly servers, easy to chat away with, especially Sonia. Makes you feel right at home :)

Been coming here for more than 10 years and never had too much of a service problem until this branch decided to employ lourdes(i believe shes filipino). Very unfriendly,rude,abrupt,doesn't understand English properly and needs you to repeat it at least 3 times. Doesn't smile and doesn't have any manners. Seriously get rid of her before this place closes down!

We didn't eat in the brewer fayre as we had reservation for the fish market. Amazing fish and chips. Receptionist was great she swapped our room for sea view with the fourth bridge in sight. Breakfast not great but edible.

Came for a lazy late Friday lunch. Place was not too busy and only had a handful of tables full (there was a kids party in the side room or something alike tho). We ordered from the full menu but the dishes that arrived looked like 2-4-1 sizing, I'm not completely sure as I couldn't compare. The sticky toffee pudding was served fridge cold (custard was warm) but got warmed up on request. Overall it was OK meal but not sure if I would come again

Decent food with that price. However, service is rubbish. Lourdes is rude and unfriendly, shouldn’t be customer facing with that kind of attitude.

Had Evening meal, steak was absolutely spot on!! Had Breakfast also very good, plenty to choose from with great ingredients.

We stayed at the soft play area and we were all very happy- my daughter loved the soft play, there was enough space to burn off all the extra energy ;) food was great, we didn't have to wait too long, all the dishes were nice and warm, and the salad was fresh 👌🏻 what was the most important for me was the fact that all the staff was so super friendly and helpful, even on a busy Sunday they were still happy to help with a smile on their faces 🌞

We sat outside in the sun but left after 1 drink. For a place that's main income is from families, the outside area was dirty and dangerous. Rusty nails sticking out of broken seats.

Had their fish and chips which was well cooked with crisp batter. Very good value. The coffee and tea was unlimited so again very good value.

Really good with excellent waiting and bar staff.

You need to put on the website etc that the kitchen stops cooking at 9pm.

Extremely expensive compared with the quality of the food. Driven 7h to finally get to eat some and that’s what i had. 3 dishes , almost 70£ dry steaks, dry onions rings, dry fryers. Weird taste and super fat steak, no seasonings on food or on the table. To small plates the food was keep falling out of the plate. Dry rice. The staff was friendly & some ware kind, I don’t think is their fault. But yeah very disappointed, and very expensive compared to the food recived. One thing i did like, didn’t ask for the id for the beer as I’m looking a bit young. I was supposed to walk like 10 minutes just to get the id so I could show it. That was a good thing that maybe they’ve read me that i was over 27. Doesn’t ever happen. I did like that.

Soft play is a sanitation hazzard. Kids are left to run free without supervision. Under 5 area loaded with a group of kids age 10 + Climbing in areas that are not for climbing and recording each other on phones. Cannot comment on the food. Soft play and toilets are enough to put you off.

Had buffet breakfast there. Sausages and bacon grossly undercooked and the rest of the full english breakfast, the beans, eggs and hash browns were lukewarm. Can never understand why it's so difficult to provide well cooked, hot food for diners.

We came here for the breakfast and you can choose between Continental or Full Breakfast. Plenty of choices and unlimited coffee with Full breakfast. It is a cosy place with all the amenities. There is a children's soft play area attached to the place too. Very family friendly place.

Never Again. 1 person taking orders and running the bar. Sharing Starters were overcooked. My mixed grill was inedible left midt of it. Waitress didn't even ask if anything was wrong when I asked for a box to take the meat away for a dog! 4 in the party and only 1 liked the main course (steak and ale pie)

Just had a cup of tea. The place was a mess dirty dishes and rubbish on all the tables. No atmosphere at all.

Seem to be out of stock for a lot of their meals, staff don't seem to know what meals they have, no apologies for not having the meal you required

When I arrived at 2.30p.m. I was told that food couldn't be served till 4p.m. No explanation was given but when I mentioned later about their advertised opening hours, I was told that there was some renovation work going on that only affected that day. I was allowed to wait and later guests received the same message as I had. It didn't seem clever on customer service. The upside was that I avoided being outside during some periods of very heavy rain but it extended the day which had started more than 8 hours before I reached the place.

Last orders called at 21:10 during the football, during the week the pub shuts at 22:00: last orders for food 20:30, manger was a surly, during breakfast service I asked if there were any eggs he replied they are cooking we don’t serve raw eggs here to which I replied you’re not serving any egg at the moment. Not impressed with the service or the staff. Stayed here a few times in the past but won’t becoming back, gone down hill in a big way

I read a lot of previous reviews, so didn't expect much. I was with my toddler, we were asked to choose any free table and were informed it could take some time to get our order ready. We came the day when the place was full and the staff was really busy. I waited about 10 minutes at the bar to make an order. But the food was brought quickly. It was not anything fancy, but my toddler loved the peas and pizza bites. But the food was taken away without notifying us, so my daughter didn't get her full portion. The place is huge, you can stay in the quiet zone or go to the play area. There is a self-catering corner where you can refill your water or soft drinks. I refilled my water with no charge. I liked the person who welcomed me at the entrance, but the waiter was really tired and busy, so not very friendly. The play area is great. It is very popular, but quite safe and fun. I checked all the corners and levels by myself, as I was climbing following my wee one. So it can be trusted. All the kids loved playing there. I will come back as the soft play is just what we need.

Went for Sunday roast lunch, some of my party had large portion but was no different to the normal size. The vegetables were shrivelled up, pretty disgusting really. I would definitely not go there for this again. We were a party of 10 so a lot spent with extra for drinks

Although it was a quiet night when we visited, the staff were very friendly and the food was amazing. I had the chicken burger, which was more than enough food. Cooked perfectly and metl in your mouth. Would recommend.

Baffled they're not open to hours stated on line doors locked at 10pm please be aware when booking at premier inn.

Terrible service! We arrived at the place for breakfast yet their sausages were way overcooked being all stuck to the bottom of the bowl. My wife had to feed the baby and they only allowed 30mins for so called buffet hence we could only tell them to count the rest 3 of us without my wife. When paying the bill at the end, the staff then insisted on charging for 4 adults even though my wife was feeding the baby the whole time. Quiet place with some view of the sea though.

Very good overall. Soft play good for kids, good value, breakfast was buffet style and usual good quality. Customer service was excellent and they honoured an advertised deal of feed a family for £18 as it said online from April hols but advertised outside for that amount.

Good bar meals,nice pint,peaceful setting. Breakfast could be better particularly the sausage.

TV looks like a replay of Brazilian Ronaldo (R9) highlights from 1998 terrible quality think the TV's are broken definitely needs an upgrade

Me and my daughter got unwell after visiting here two days ago which is extremely frustrating, I won’t be returning again. I noticed that the chef was coughing/sneezing when he came through to the bar area and this is why am led to believe that we have caught whatever illness the chef had. Don’t understand why people that work in hospitality can’t just TAKE THE DAY OFF. It’s a massive health and safety risk to customers and you’d think this would be taken seriously in a restaurant. disappointing.

Service was very slow and no care about the customer. The restaurant was busy but still only one staff working the bar /taking food orders and one serving the food. Food took an age to arrive and once it had, it was very small portions and over cooked. There was no atmosphere and nothing in the way of politeness from the staff. They seemed more interested in getting the restaurant ready for tomorrow's breakfast rather than serving the evening customers. The staff on this shift just did not appear to care and it looked like a smile would crack their faces.

I will never go here again. Food not cooked / returned twice and same happened for the table next to me. Activity packs for the kids advertised as shut me up bags. Please... have a little respect for kids.

Been here a few times when visiting friends. Good atmosphere. Great play area in the back for the kids but can get a little noisy. Never eaten so can't comment on that. Service has always been decent.

This is attached to next doors Premier Inn. The breakfast we had was of good quality snd lovely and hot. It was fresh too, the fried eggs were still runny in the middle.

Really great new manager which makes a big difference. Food and value good. But the soft play area is always dirty and needs a serious clean on a regular basis.
