Absolutely awful service. Took over an hour to get food and then the quality was poor for the price paid. Watched a family members food sit on the side for over 20 minutes before it got took to them, with the chefs wafting the flies to try keep them away. No apologies or anything just arsey staff. Definitely won’t be going again.

Great new refurb, bright and modern and lovely friendly staff! The food was delicious and they have some tasty new desserts!!

Amazing new refurb, the place looks amazing and the staff are just as helpful and friendly as always. The new menu is great too, definitely something for everyone.

Lovely new pub, service was excellent, the bar looks lovely and the extended dining. Wide range of food and the pasta dishes are fantastic!

Poor service, arrogant staff and pace of service slow. You are made to feel as if the staff in particular, the restaurant staff can’t be bothered. Service with a smile is a phrase not associated with the this place. Changing the facade of the building can’t improve staff CS skills. Training definitely required. Kitchen door swung open and a member of staff seen eating sausages at the work station. The food is for the customers, surely this is a hygiene issue. Nice makeover but same diabolical approach to paying customers.

Wednesday lunch service was incredible! Food was outstanding and was nice and hot. Loads of choice of veg. Can’t wait to come back!

Absolutely Lovely tasty carvery served by the main man Jender 👍 when he is in charge of the meals it 100% bang on Piping hot ( always when Jender is serving ) keeps the meals as they should be 👍 absolutely love it when we see his friendly face we know we are going to have a fantastic carvery and a lovely smile ☺️ ( we all love Jender ) we do miss the cheese pie to be fair … made it even tastier 😋 hint hint

Came for the Easter disco with my 4 kids and my grandchild all had a great time Sophie doing the facepainting was lovely very talented and the disco guy was great with the kids best part was the Easter bunny coming to visit we stayed for a meal afterwards and the food was lovely Kelly and eliza served our meals and they were very tasty thank you for a lovely day

BAD DECISIONS I made a mistake of coming here today. what happened to pleasing the customer, one simple request of a plate and they could not honour it … i ask for a takeaway box, no.. i won’t be coming back as the customer service is appalling, i used to love coming to newbridge very regularly.. no empathy was shown, when i asked another member of staff for plate, she kindly said she she would get me one, until she came back from speaking to her colleague and and then told me no, again with no customer service was shown or apology/empathy. but a “we told you can’t have a plate and that’s it “ attitude …..:, a simple small plate or a bowl was all i was asking for.

The food was amazing, service was excellent . Bar staff were friendly, and made the visit great. will return in the future! :)

We go in quite regular and always have the large carvery. Prices have gone up a menial amount last month but still good value. Last time went in we paid extra for the large to be greeted with one slice of beef and two slices of gammon. Hate to think what the Traditional or even the small is, may have been cutting back the place was packed had to sit in the bar with others. Glad to see the vegetables that are steam cooked, cooked for longer, though the gravy is really thick the only downside. They dont serve ales here just pumped stuff, even in 2018 they only had Boom Dar on. We will be back for more.

This used to be great and had a great reputation. Went a few months ago and it was dreadful, no service, carvery dried up and stale. Went back yesterday thought we'd give it another go but it is still pretty poor. The carvery was okay, the potatoes were not great, they were stale and dry as if they had been microwaved. I appreciate it is hard to keep a carvery fresh so maybe something needs to change that will help reduce costs and use resources more efficiently. Hoe about something like having two table sittings for dinner, 6pm and 7pm and that's it. So everyone gets guaranteed a fresh carvery at those times. And go to booking only, in the long run people will appreciate a fresh quality offering and will start to see the benefit in booking. It sounds radical but it makes sense. If something is good consistently then the customers will continue to come. the other extremely annoying thing was the quiz that started at 7pm. This was broadcast over the speakers and was so loud we had to keep stopping our conversation. In the end we couldn't wait to get out of here. Are you a pub or are you a carvery. In the restaurant section I don't want to be deafened whilst eating a meal.

waited 40 minutes for our food, no apology from staff when FINALLY served. The pub was not busy at all therefore no reasonable explanation for the wait.My burger tasted like slabs of cardboard, wouldn’t feed it my dog. No check back after our meal either....

First of all I get served a coke that looks like water, no fizz at all and wasn't even brown. The carvery was terrible, roasts like leather, veg dried up. Staff miserable as sin, the management weren’t much better. No atmosphere what so ever.

Well that’s a bit of false advertisement consider supposed be open at 8 am. The door is closed and locked so is the place really open at 8 am all the time to start cooking food. Not a great start.
