Delicious food very fresh and hot o. Arrival. Best Chinese in ng4 area

Can't fault the food - always good quality and plentiful, but the delivery time was was shocking this time. Order at 18:15pm and didn't get it until 20:40pm. Rang up and they didn't seem to know anything about our order despite confirming it when we made it. They were apologetic, but almost 2.5 hours to wait for food is ridiculous really.

Not delivered. Disappointed as food and delivery always previously good. Ordered 2 hours ago and not out for delivery, even after the latest estimated delivery time. have had to go pick it up. Shocking,

I can’t really comment on the atmosphere as I ordered take away! However this Chinese take away was delightful. Lovely fresh food and great value for money. I think £38 fed around 7 of us (4 adults and 3 children) which is much better than a lot of places. We collect as they do not deliver to us but it’s so worth it.

Food was delicious but delivery time was appalling ! Just eat said delivery time 30-40 minutes , 2 hours later had to phone to chase order up.

Very good, came quickly, nice and hot, all very tasty, thanks! Would be helpful to have the dishes labelled but we got there.

On ordering it said 55min wait……after an hour and 30 mins I called to be told 15mins. It’s not good enough to wait this amount of time it’s pure greed to keep taking orders over the expectation wait time!

Have been a regular customer in the area for years, and will only eat Chinese takeout from New World for their variety in vegetarian dishes. Food is usually tasty and fresh, as well as delivered in a timely manner. Tonight, however, we opted to cancel our order after it was suggested we will have to wait another hour on top of our 1 hour wait. Did not offer any reason as to why our food was taking so long, especially given we are local. No offer of compensation either. I have not rated any stars for atmosphere as it is a take-out restaurant. I would continue to use New World as this is only my second poor experience with them, but air on the side of caution.

Food is always of a high standard here. We wouldn’t order Chinese food from anywhere else. Thank you for another lovely meal.

Ordered my food at 7pm and its didn't come till after 9. Totally unexceptable. Won't order from here again.

I had egg fried rice, sweet and sour chicken balls, chips and prawn crackers - I prefer the sweet and sour sauce a bit more sweet than sour, and I generally prefer thin prawn crackers to thick, but overall it was really nice - and amazing delivery time.

Curry sauce had no flavour at all which is the main part of the meal that needs love.

Amazing food as always, really fresh veggies and noodles, not greasy or over salty.

I ordered the chicken balls roast pork and salt and pepper chicken, the chicken balls tasted off and the meat was falling apart but not in the way you want it too, the park was fine if not a bit cold but the portions for it were awful and the salt and pepper chicken was fine, bit more breading to meat ratio but was passable, seasoned nicely, also a bit cold though.

I have ordered from new world for years and the food has always been amazing. However tonight, when the food arrived I found a large thick black hair in my prawn crackers. After dishing up the food for my family, the food tasted stale as if it had been made 3 days prior and just been sat on the side. I appreciate these things can happen from time to time in busy periods etc, so I called up and explained that the food wasn’t up to the usual standard. The lady I spoke to agreed that they would come back to collect the order and refund my money as I had paid cash. The man turned up 3 hours later, banging on my kitchen window, so I went out with the bag of food. He then became aggressive, shouting in my face and telling me that I’m shameful and should be ashamed of my behaviour as the food was fresh and there was nothing wrong with it. I tried to explain that I order from there all the time and usually it is lovely but on this occasion it wasn’t and he then demanded that I get my partner out so he could tell him too (this was all caught on my ring doorbell!!). After giving me my money back he then told me that I am not welcome to order from the shop again and proceeded to stand at the end of driveway staring at me and trying to intimidate me! Extremely unprofessional! If you’re reading this review, do not order from this Chinese! The owner is a physco!

Most of the food was nice and tasty. Although I would recommend avoiding the duck and pancakes, it's all gristle and no meat, not good value for money for £10 (the quarter duck)

Chose New World on the reviews on Just Eat and I have to say I was very disappointed. Egg Fried Rice was dry with very little egg, crispy chilli beef was cooked within an inch of a chilli, no heat at all. Chicken balls were fatty, stale oil perhaps? I hope this was a bad night for them but I do not recommend.

Food was lovely & hot. They didn’t put the lid on the sweet & sour sauce so it leaked in the bag and over some of the food & my partner hates it !!

Ordered at 6.58pm and received at 9.00pm. 2 hours is a very long delivery time. Food was great as always. Was just the delivery time that let us down.

Can’t really complain about the food, But the delivery times are awful. It took over 2 hours for our food to arrive and this wasn’t the first time. We won’t be ordering from them again.

Been ordering here for years. Always consistently great food, well cooked and generous portions, the chicken balls are fantastic! Service is always pleasant and food is delivered in good time, all at a good price. It's easily our favourite Chinese takeaway.

Food was great. Had a big selection various dishes. Thai curry, Szechuan chicken, chicken curry, pork balls, rice, special chow mein, chips. All was polished off 😁. Will definitely return.

Wow. This place used to have a great reputation about 3 years ago. It depends on which chef is on and what day/time you order that determines how tasty or poor your meal is. Unfortunately the last 3-4 times we’ve ordered it’s been poor. This has been the theme for the past year. We’ve had great takeaways but they are rare now! Noodles that look and taste a couple of days old, ribs burnt, crispy and meatless with brown over fried chicken balls and pancake rolls - a total waste of money. Don’t bother ordering from here, we certainly won’t be any more.

I have never been disappointed, food is always fresh and tasty, sometimes we try a different take away restaurant but we always come back to New World regretting that we decided to try different place...

Food really good did arrive late but was hot. Will put this down as a busy Saturday night. When called the restaurant to chase they answered politely and said that it was out for delivery. Would I order again yes I would.

All good very dry. Very late so wasn’t hot enough. Duck in orange sauce!! No sauce just lettuce. Wouldn’t come again

everything was soooo good ... apart from the pork satay which was like dish water over microwaved and not nice.. will order again but wont order pork or the satay dishes... very good portions and oven hot.

The food was delivered that early it wasn’t cooked properly I always order from this Chinese delivery was between 50-65 minutes came within 15-20 the rice was just warm the chicken which should have been roasted came only half heated the inside was stone cold so definitely been microwaved before delivery the chow mein was warm but the only vegetables that seemed fresh were broccoli and onions

Always our go to place for Chinese! Food is piping hot, fresh and so delicious. Portion sizes are generous and quality of the food is consistently perfect each time.

The special chowmein was dry noodles with the sauce and meat just dumped in the container on 1 side, I thought the noodles would be cooked with the sauce and meat? Usually great but not this time :(
