New Wai Ho Chinese Takeaway in Northumberland

Ordered twice in 2 months. First order was really disappointing, it was VERY very salty, I was so disappointed. So anyway give them another chance. Again, different order again though way too salty. Are you putting in half tub of salt. You are destroying the taste of the food. Won't be ordering again.

Got the order wrong. Refused to replace or refund the missing elements in any timely fashion. When we went to collect the replacement, it was ridiculously spicy, even though they knew the portion was for a kid. Shame because we order regularly and now we wont be returning. Shocking behaviour.

Normally have great takeaways from here - but this time was awful - overcooked and dry meat - other meal was burnt meat - cold chips - only the rice was nice - will not be ordering from here again

We ordered a meal from here and my God when we opened it it had LIVE WORMS INSIDE the noodles.... ( Photos & Videos to follow) The women who we spoke to was the most vile rude patronising women you would ever meet. We offered to bring the food back and show them but they tried to deny it. She was called.....BAI WEI YA ... We got her name from trading standards. I am going to take you to court.

I love this place. It's literally the only good Chinese in the Cramlington, Blyth, Delaval area. Was really looking forward to ordering tonight but ended up cancelling minutes after placing my order. Usually nice person who knows your address answers and is lovely to speak to. Tonight, I was talking to someone very rude and it was an inconvenience to take my order. So much so, I rang and cancelled and was met by even more resistance. Regular customer, lost.

Had a Take Away between Xmas and New Year, not the best. Chicken spring rolls very disappointing, well cooked on the outside, cold and soggy on the inside. Chips tasted like they were re-fried leftovers and the special curry had ONE prawn in it. NOT IMPRESSED

I ordered a take away at 1755 I asked how long delivery would be I was informed 45 mins to an hour to which we accepted as we had said we would collect. I called at 1920 the. Again at 1940 which I asked them to cancel I really enjoy the food from here but for delivery you take on too much which means it’s too long or cold!! Sorry to the driver not your fault!!

Love the food but like most places prices are spiralling up and limits how much food we buy. Best in Cramlington for us and we will remain loyal.

Used this takeaway for many years and always happy with food / service. Today something went wrong with the order. After a quick phone call replacement meals were provided very quickly. Great customer service. Very happy.

I use this Chinese most week ordered my usual meal in advance for Christmas eve, no mention of it may cost more but £20 for egg fu Yung, fried rice, crispy seaweed and curry sauce is absolutely ridiculous 🤬

Always used this takeaway. Unfortunately they’re now not using king prawns but rather shop sized king prawns. Crispy salt and chilli chicken was over cooked and inedible. Prices have gone up approximately 10% but the quality has dropped dramatically. All in all I will not be returning.

Ordered crispy shredded beef in honey chili sauce, a vegetable chow mein, and spring rolls. Was very tasty.

I ordered deep fried crispy beef in Cantonese sauce £11.20 couldn’t eat went in the bin it was really soggy very dissapointed

I used to love this take away. Paid 37.80 for poor food. Sub standard ribs were shocking no meat mains were sloppy and substandard we will not go back poor food from a one time great take away. Farewell wai ho never again.

Ordered chow mein in kubo sauce received chow mein in black bean sauce! Not good!!!

Having ordered a meal from a menu I had picked up the night before, I was told that the meal did not include chips, although Cleary stated in the menu that it did! When I arrived to collect the said meals, I challenged this, to be told that the printed menus, that they had in the take away and give out were both wrong, and that the price had increased along with the fact that the meal no longer included rice or chips.. and this was now a supplement. To top it off, once home the meal was so bland and over cooked most of it went in the bin. Much better options out there! Should be called Wai NO

Last two orders paid for prawn crackers did not come both times they said next time we will take money off hasn’t happened sorry but I worked for Jimmy at this take away not good enough and I’m sure he would say the same

Oh dear...what has happened to this place? We'll be ordering elsewhere in future. That's the last two meals that have been more than disappointing. Tonight's delivery was supposed to be within 45 minutes...arrived over 30 minutes late and quite frankly, cold. Noticeably smaller portions too. Certainly not worth the money any more.

Very disappointed. When last ordering had 3 meals all to be without onions,but arrived with extra onions! As we had waited a while for delivery we declined offer of replacement and accepted, reluctantly a derisory offer of £5 off next order. Rang to order yesterday and was told no record of discount and offered £1.40 off. Politely declined and never use again. ps not first time order was wrong

Ordered a good mixture of dishes and accompaniments for a small family celebration. Food was delivered very promptly and was piping hot and totally delicious. The best Chinese takeaway we have had for a long time. Many thanks will highly recommend

I have ordered from here for three-year but tonight the meal tasted like a bag of sugar. I rang to complain about this but they hung up on me twice. Chips very cold and food tasteless unless you love sugar

Tonight we ordered chicken curry with chips along with crispy beef and fried rice for delivery. The meal arrived quickly and was lovely and hot. Food was absolutely lovely with big chunks of chicken and very well wrapped to keep it hot! Good sized portions too. Will definately order from here again 👍

Lovely Chinese food the best in the area.

I ordered my family tea and they said 45 minutes to an hour they brought it within 20 minutes so I sent it back I tried phoning them back and they put the phone down on me am sorry but am not getting food poisoning so we wont getting anything from these again

House curry was gorgeous as was the chow mein. Im not a personal fan of crispy seaweed, but it was done lovely. Will deffinately use the takeaway next time im in town.

Had a wonderful kon siu yesterday. Absolutely delicious and delivered on time. Have never been let down with the quality.

Chicken satay skewers were raw. Called up to be told that they couldn't refund and will offer discount when we next order. Safe to say we won't be ordering again and have taken photos to send to food standards agency. Disgusting.

We have always ordered food from this restaurant we have never ever had a ad meal yet I have just been currently diagnosed with a terminal brain cancer and my god this place due to medication is my absolute lifeline and they have continued to constantly send all my orders perfectly thank you wai honchefs and girls at the front 👌😊

1 star is only for the curry sauce. The rice dry, the chicken balls was full of grease and I mean full. But the worst was the salt and pepper chips. I don't know if anyone has had a takeaway and tried to reheat the chips the next day and they taste horrible, that's what they tasted like. I called to complain and his response was that he's not had any other complaints tonight, really... how unprofessional!!

Its got to be the best chicken chowmein for miles around.

Absolutely gorgeous food, very succulent and tasty. We had chicken fried rice, the chicken was fried chicken mixed with fried rice and peas. Lovley! We also had sweet and sour chicken, again very big portions of chicken breast in an amazing coating of batter. Keep up amazing work we loved it!

Delivered the wrong food instead of sweet and sour king prawns they added chicken for half & prawns for the other half when we rang up to tell them this they told us that was ok but its not we ordered girl on the phone was very unhelpful will never go again plus what we had wasn't very nice.

Always helpful and not too expensive

Very poor food, save your money and go to the Indians next door!
