New Village in Kettering

Food was tasteless, slimy seemed to be reheated. Didn't agree with me either only ate some couldn't stomach the remaining. Ordered food on Saturday 26 Aug.

Food is always in point, the A3 meal is my favourite, chicken curry and rice,chicken balls and spring rolls for £11 is perfect and food is always delivered hot. Our go to Chinese

We’ve ordered here a lot in the past several months and the food is always piping hot, the chicken balls are the best compared to others, the portion sizes are amazing and the staff friendly. The only thing we ordered which we didn’t like is the fried chicken in soy sauce which is very salty but Im hoping it’s just a one off.

Food was cold and omelette was unappealing and the peas were processed the sweet and sour sauce absolutely vile taste and worst of all the chicken balls gave my sister food poisoning as they were clearly not cooked properly absolutely will not be ordering from here ever again disgusting And before that the delivery driver brought the wrong order and made my sister feel very uncomfortable and when he did bring the right order proceeded to argue with us about the money disgraceful behaviour

Very poor for price. Chips obviously previous nights reheated. Food cold so had to microwave. Won't use again

wish they would check there messages. been messaging them for weeks to order a meal but they don't answer, tried talking to them on phone but they could not understand English or they were just being ignorant,

I feel like most of the reviews here are either really negative or really positive, which isn’t really fair. Personally I’ve been coming here for years and it’s been great, food is banging and cheaper than a lot of other takeaways in Kettering. Big up boss man

When the meal arrived the food was cold and one important part of one of the meals was missing. When we phoned up we were told that they would get it to us straight away but they didn't, it was 35 minutes later. By which time the meal was not edible. When we phoned up to complain again about the time it took. They finally relinquished and said we could have a fresh full meal but that would take a further hour which is ridiculous. They then wanted us to scoop out the meal we had thrown in our black bin to return it which was also ridiculous and quite pathetic. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL. AVOID AT ALL COST. This is not the first time we've had missing items from our order.

Had the meal deal for £25 for 5 items and not a bad thing to say. Absolutely delicious. The quality has improved massively since a couple of years ago.

Staff on the phone very rude to start with food over an hour late cold looks like it had been cooked last week strongly advised not to use the chinese unless you like sitting to the loo for a good couple of hours

Bbq rib sauce was bland. And the house special rice. The rice was old dry and hard. Like trying to eat little bullets. Sorry not as good as I remember from the 80' and 90's. Sorry guys won't be coming back any time soon. Sweet and sour mix meats and prawns and the pancake rolls were better.

Hardly any steak or gravy the whole meal filled a quarter of the container also chips were so well done everytime put fork in chip it flew across the room.always loved new village but changed in the last week don't recommend

I've had takeaway from here about 5 times, and every time it is fresh, hot and tasty. Their £20 deal is also great value, and I can highly recommend the chicken skewers in satay sauce as some of the best satay I've had.

Very good reliable service. Have changed my mind. I just feel bad for the drivers who delivers. Just checking the price of my order and perhaps it's me but i think that i was well overcharged. Tried to call to explain and suddenly they started to speak another language which is strange because they spoke fluently when taking my order. Once bitten twice shy. No more custom from me.

Best Chinese in town, good portion sizes, great taste and probably the cheapest around.

I have not been in a while, but the best Chinese in town. Would be nice if you keep a bit more meat on the ribs, but all delicious. Chicken balls are the dogs. I live the other side of town centre, and this place puts Kings to shame. Worth the walk.

Tasty and fast and better than normal fast food

Been having food here I was a child. I am now 34. Food turned up tonight, and was less in quantity than should be (4 chicken balls not 6). Rang them up and it took 10 mins to get sense from anyone. Refused to send out new food until old one was collected and returned despite admitting their mistake. In in the end we drove to take it back. They were at fault but didn't seem one bit fussed. May seem trivial but customer service goes a long way. Will be going elsewhere now.

It is what it is, but taste great

Food came really really quickly but as soon as we tasted it we realised why, sauce had way to much vinegar in, the prawn toast was burnt and couldn't taste any prawn, it was so solid I struggled to bite into it, seaweed was actually really nice but that's not hard to get wrong, chicken balls was soggy. Never again.

The food is great, I always come to collect and it’s usually ready in 15 minutes when it’s not busy. Love the lady on the phone or the guy taking in the order and giving me the food. The max amount of time I had to wait was little over 30 minutes but it’s fine since there were 3 customers before me.

Went in and ordered food to get home and find part of the order missing, after phoning them up it took over 30 minutes to bring the rest of the order. Will never use this place again and will certainly never recomend it to anyone. Poo service. And giving a 1 star is probably too much.

Been using these guys for years, not bad for cheap takeaway. But this evening found a METAL STAPLE in one of the rice dishes! Called to complain and was offered a another rice dish. How about if that staple was swalled and caused internal injury???? Trading Standards will be informed ASAP.

This person sacked me after two and half years of loyalty he is terrible person to work for and apparently after two and half years I wasnt suited to the job. That was despite covering for a driver that let him down . He pays below the minimum wage and i will be getting on to hmrc and the minimum wage commission. Id add the owner sent his drivers to Northampton road broughton despite one of the drivers having the meal nicked and his safety put in danger. The owner has little regard for the health and safety of his drivers.

Love the food from here, always arrives within good time, and it's always hot. Food isn't really greasy either which is best, as some Chinese takeaways in Kettering seem to arrive swimming in grease, but the food here is fresh and lovely

Great food, realy enjoyed it and will buy again. The veg tasted fresh, unlike other takeaway's who bung in any mishaped, huge ugly bits of unfresh cabbage etc and think the customer either dont notice or care. Rices and spices were spot on, compliments to the chef.

The meal deal for 19 pounds is a very good deal. It saves me 7 pounds buying 5 meals than the original price, so it worths it! I totally recommend it to my friends, family and for who is reading this.

Ripping people off with a so called meal deal. Everyone do the math before going to this restaurant. When confronted about stealing my money they told me they do it to everyone. They also agreed that of you bought 5 low cost foods and they appear on their meal deal range you will still pay £18.50 regardless how much less it is.

Good food, good people, good prices and they have never let us down.
