Good evening, beer reasonably priced.

No food served here now. Large range of beer at decent prices, DJ on weekends, dance area and in daytime live sports on many screens.

This is a really good place especially on weekends the atmosphere is ace staff very good and a decent beer

Too much violence on weekends, same culprits been allowed back in. What a shame, it used to be my local. Now joined a members only club which actually cares about keeping the riff raff out.

Can't remember I was blind drunk

Called in Saturday evening to 2 young men on the floor knocking lumps out of each other, the door men/women struggling to pull them apart,

The bar wasn’t overly busy and 3 people who came to the bar after us got served before us. The man behind the bar clearly knew we were there but didn’t serve us. I’m not sure why, anyway decided to go back home as it’s quicker to get a drink at home than wait around and be ignored.

Don't one of the staff call Danny give for calling nonse and Kelly Rowley and Lisa hogman

Used to be a really nice family friendly pub but sadly the new owners have run it into the ground. Always fighting in there now. Stay clear if your wanting a nice night out.

It's OK for the odd drink on an afternoon. Go in on an evening and you're caught up in a chav rave! Won't make a habit out of going in here often.

Been going in this pub since late 80's & it still seems to have its troubles and an uneasy feeling but still go in to see old faces.

Great atmosphere, music and fantastic staff. Has to be the best local pub in the area. Updated 08/10/22 First night of new management and I'm disappointed, long wait at the bar, lights on too bright and even though it was busy the atmosphere was nowhere near as good as under last management. Hope it gets back to previous high standards.

4 doorman 1 barman make that make sense ridiculous

Spacious pub with a couple screens to show sport. Average beer selection, no real ales which was disappointing. But had a good vibe

Came in the other day for a drink I was impressed it was very friendly service, very chatty which I personally enjoy with the bar staff and the glasses was clean it wasn't too over priced it was roudy like most pubs are we could just sit and have a quiet drink

Thankyou travellers rest. My daughters 40th birthday party was great. (29th december)The food was superb. The staff fantastic. Would highly recommend it to anyone who will listen. A good time was had by all. The curry was especially great. We'll worth the money. Thanks again.

Had an excellent Saturday night.

This pub has in the past been the best pub in Crossgates. It has now started to get back to that great pub bar and restaurant. Live music good food and brilliant days at the weekend. The whole pub can often be seen to get up on the dance floor to dance. The staff are brilliant. As are the landlord and lady. If you want quieter then spoons is the one.

The food here is amazing. I've lived in Crossgates all my life and never been to the travs for food and omg everyone needs to try it out. I'm going to come every week and work through the menu. 10/10!

Best pub in Leeds. The management and staff are second to none.

Went for a wake, sandwiches were same as warbertons breadcakes, with Aldi's ham, the queche was inedible, didn't look cooked looked sloppy and tasted awful so I'm told. Sausage rolls were ok. No real ale just John Smith's.

Table service only...no app...4 employees walked straight past can see we haven't been served yet..took a lovely gentleman to point out we've not had any service..dying of thirst here! No coors light either booooo! Go to wetherspoons no messing about there!

Table service only and you have no way of ordering ( no app) so you just have to sit and wait. No alcohol free drink available so opted for fizzy orange and they had non. They kindly exchanged it for fresh orange and lemonade.

Great pub, good crowd, can be busy one of the few pubs around here in Crossgates and east Leeds that let you bring the Dog with you after a walk, the beer is kept well, their John Smiths is excellent, I think the Covid 19 crisis is keeping a lot of people away, I know a lot of faces over the years and don't see them now,which is a shame, it will always be there for me, but slowly people are coming out again, the landlord is a gem, it will always have my support.

Basic pub with friendly staff and the landlord makes an effort which is rare these days . Always tries to put something on to make the place upbeat. Landlords like them need supporting to keep the local pub and the community going.

It was a fantastic experience the staff were amazing the food was to die for would very highly recommend everyone to go and experience the wonderful new travellers rest

Had a great night in here, with a tribute band on. The place was full, unfortunately some people spoil it for others. A few people outside with drugs, the were trying though by searching certain people. I will come again and hopefully it will be better.

Sunday lunch. Choice of beef, lamb or pork £6.95. We had between us the lamb and beef. My partners roast beef was like shoe leather unable to to cut it or chew it (yuck) My roast lamb was undercooked and fatty. Two roast potatoes, some mash potato, cabbage and pieces of carrot. Served separately were some Yorkshire puddings and gravy. The gravy was warm and the Yorkshire puddings were clap cold and burnt. I was disappointed to put it mildly. The lady who cleared my plate asked us if we enjoyed our meal, i didn't speak. I just wanted to leave. Serving food in a pub can be a good earner if it is served correctly, sadly they missed the (gravy) boat. As a pub (we were there the night before) it has a great atmosphere. Two giant big tv screens showing football are a great pull to bring in the punters and reasonable prices for drinks. Could do with at least one hand pulled beer, not everyone likes John Smiths. I'll drink here again, but not to eat.

I won a free Sunday Dinner for two with Desserts and decided to frequent the pub on my birthday having not been for a long time. I went in the pub and was greeted by the waiting staff and explained why i was here, I was seated and given a choice of dinners and desserts and patiently ordered and even the drinks were free (bonus) The food arrived by the wonderful waitress and was greeted by two platefuls of beautiful Sunday Dinner which was the best ive ever eaten at a pub everything homemade x gravy included fantastic service i will be visiting often Definately reccomend this to all friends and family the landlady and all staff and chef 5 star keep up the good work thank you xxx

Asked a person to leave just because he walked with a limp wont be going again he wasnt drunk he had only been out an hour so dont use that as an excuse

I used to hate this place many moons ago it's a lot busier nicer place to go they do food now. They have entertainment on a lot more now dj weekends definitely worth going in

Excellent lunch 2 for £9 really good value and plenty of it, l had beef stew my husband had gammon egg and chip, would highly recommend it.
