ordered from here previously and the food was great.. unfortunately this time it was awful it was almost cold the mixed appetiser..prawn toast was rock hard and chewy couldn't eat it.. spring rolls had hardly any filling and satay chicken was like rubber.. prawn crackers were stale and the chips looked and tasted like they'd been cooked and reheated they were dry and hard..non of it got eaten.. chow mein, rice, and omelette however were fine.. won't be ordering again.

Really very good!!! The thai curry had lots of coconut milk in sooooo good. Chicken balls perfect so crispy. The best prawn crackers too x two. Light and crispy!!! will definitely order again. 10/10 yum yum!!!

The prawn crackers are really nice - thin not thick. Had egg fried rice, sweet and sour chicken balls and chips, all great.

one of the dishes wasn't sealed so more sweet and sour sauce was in the carrier bag than the dish. it also coated the other containers, and dripped all over my kitchen. please take the time to care for your customers

The chow mien was very poor quality. Was made of cheap noodles. The curry was watery and the chicken was really wet. I’m really disappointed as this was the first time we tried it and it was more expensive

Starters were promising although I’ve never had salt n pepper ribs in a sort of batter or coating. Portions were on the small side. Spent over £30 and no complimentary prawn crackers. The special chow mien is where it all went wrong….. noodles resembled super noodles and were pretty bland, meat was ok and the sauce mediocre, sorry won’t be back.

NEW FAVOURITE CHINESE! Food was absolutely delicious! I got the chilli shredded beef, chicken chow mein, prawn toast, salt & pepper chicken wings & rice, chips with curry sauce. All of it super delicious. I would recommend that with the rice chips & sauce to package the sauce separately to let people put on at home as it did make the chips very mushy. Delivery was on time and driver was very polite. Food was piping hot.

This restaurant is usually very good but surprisingly disappointing tonight. Prawn crackers were soft and in general the food was just not as good as usual.

Chemical smelling lemon chicken was disgusting and inedible. S&S battered prawns were tough, overcooked and tasted like they had been made days ago and just reheated. Unlikely that anything was cooked fresh, simply reheated. NEVER AGAIN!

Have been ordering from here for well over 20 years this is by far the best in Nottingham by a mile. Everytime we order its always fast and piping hot and the consistency is the same everytime, you would be mad not to try these guys can't highly recommend enough . Give them 10 stars if I could

Had a takeaway for my friends birthday. Food was horrendous. Duck was hard weird smell to it. Beef was so spicy you couldn’t eat it. Everything is drenched in oil. It wasn’t nice at all. Beef smelled old. Chips old. Sorry but no we will never order there again

Absolutely disgusted! Food came like slop and as if we we're on rations, tubs half full, all waterey, spent £20 odd on rubbish, no prawn crackers, never ordering from here again!

Where to begin, first the service is just amazing and the food is produced very quick, around 10 mins. Chicken chow mein, special fried rice (dry), sweet and sour chicken balls, chilli chips, prawn toast and salt and pepper chicken wings, this will last me 2 days day 1 is the meal at home the second I take to work and make everyone envying the amazing smell as its reheated. Great for the takeaway treat for the whole family

The best, freshest, takeaway Chinese food in the area. We have used New Summer many , many times , and have not had one bad meal. We always eat fairly early, 6pm, and the food is excellent. Delivery is always prompt and courteous .

After being a regular eating in the restaurant, I had high expectations for delivery. I was wrong. The food was terrible, nowhere near the quality of the restaurant. I won’t be ordering again.

Food was cold when delivered and some of the items ordered were not delivered.

Food nice could do with a bit of a facelift don't really go there a lot now since I seen the young chef drop something on the floor and pick it back up again and put it on the chopping board without washing his hands

Very disappointed!!!! We have use this Chinese for years but today we were over charged and didn't get everything we ordered. When I rang back I was told I was looking at a old menu but the menu was in the bag with our food which was rude enough but then to be told but we have you free wings is just not good enough. Needless to say we will never use New Summer Palace again but I do highly recommend the Saigon in Sneinton fantastic food amazing customer service just what you want from your local chinses takeaway.

The meal was nice and hot, they had lovely service (really polite staff too) and the delivery was quite fast too
