It was our first visit as we were visiting llanelli from Cardiff. It wasn't very busy on the day we went and waited almost 45 mins for our food to come out. Saying that, Everything was lovely and the staff and atmosphere of the place was good. A bit disappointed they've gotten rid of the 'jalcrazy' Hot curry and no longer do the big plate special on the wendsday. So you now have to buy the extra sides separately but that's a franchise problem.

Do not waste you money terrible food hadn't been for many year but friend new to area wanted to try was even worse than I remember taste less and burnt after a 40 minute wait didn't experience any customer service when told waitress my toast is burnt with no butter on toast she just walked off so we walked out

The New Stepney is a marvellous, place. The new menu has some truly delectable options. The staff are always helpful, especially Ethan, Courtney, Mel, Jerome, Ebony, Kristina, Leanne, and Dani

Came here from the 80s festival in Llanelli as we were walking passed and it looked inviting, clean and busy. We came through the door and could see how manic it was the staff were rushed off their feet, but throughout the entrance chaos, a young blonde staff member popped her head through and managed to get us a table by the window. Menu is huge and there is so much choice, maybe too much. Only fancied something small so i ordered a Chicken and bacon baguette and a Sauv, My husband made the daring decision to order a "quadzilla burger" he quickly regretted it when it came. The thing was bigger than his head! Nevertheless the food was delicious and for how busy it was, it wasn't a long wait. Overall the staff were very helpful and i could see how busy they are, they could not put in more effort if they tried. The menu is a bit too much choice but for the prices on some of the dishes its just cheap eats. I would definitely go again

Staff very friendly but food mediocre and not very warm.

No separate bar for drinks and only two people serving. We queued around 15-20 mins to order food, we could done through the app but prefer not to put bank card details out there. We use our local hungry horse regularly and it gets glowing reviews but this one had grubby chairs etc. Despite the long wait to order, food came quickly which was unexpected being a party of ten, and was very nice.

Had a lovely time tonight, we went to celebrate our daughters guide dog partnership. Staff could not be more helpful and made my daughter s first outing with her guide dog a really positive one Food was lovely, hot and more than enough for us all. Looking forward to going back. Thanks

Came for breakfast this morning, had a problem paying for the car park but Leanne was very helpful. Breakfast was superb, cooked to perfection and the service from Leanne was excellent. And the coffee was top notch as well!! We'll be back.

Went for breakfast here this morning with the Easter bunny! And the kids were so excited and happy, the Easter bunny went above an beyond even had a photograph with them, and brought out a little colouring activity! So nice to see a place go above and beyond for our children! The food was lovely aswell! And the staff were really attentive! Can’t wait to come back, thanks all🫶🏻

The Hungry Horse is a bustling place, however the staff give you that personal touch. Always polite, well dressed. I have come here with my family regularly and the consistency and quality of the food is excellent, prices are reasonable. I book my table but they try their best to accommodate you if you haven't.

Had to send back my starter of nachos as it was so awful and the natchos just tasted of batter, Then had a lasagna as a swap out and was just a burned pile of mush.

On this occasion the food wasnt as good as other visits. Thr burger bun was dry and the steak a bit gristly. But saying that, it was still great value for money.

Probably the worst burger I've ever eaten, was supposed to come with bacon but didn't. Really bland. Booth seating was messy, waitress wiped the table but there was food all over the chairs.

It was such a lovely meal, all the staff were brilliant and very helpful 🙂

January 2024 Another review. Went here today for late lunch. Once again, just want to say many thanks to the staff- especially the blonde member of staff- for their help. So friendly! It was busy but the expected wait time for food was explained at the outset and the food arrived quicker than expected. Will be back soon. ............. Went for lunch here today with our 4 year old son. Huge thanks to the (blonde) member of staff who took our order and helped out with the Tesco vouchers I wanted to use. Really friendly. Really helpful. Food was great - just as we were expecting. Thanks again! N x

Genuinely one of my favourite places to go for food. Warm welcome by friendly staff every time. Comfy and good atmosphere. And the food is great and good value too. Highly recommend. Easy parking and public transport too. Just on the edge of town centre.

Absolutely awful place - dirty, indifferent service and very poor menu. So bad we walked out.

Indifferent staff. Tables left uncleared and dirty. Food very poor. Cheeseburger with tiny amount of cheese. Mac and cheese was basically a bowl of runny cheese sauce and non existent pasta. Onion rings not cooked properly. Waitress failed to tell us we had to order at the bar so that delayed things and if they bring food to you surely cutlery should be brought to you too. Very poor experience and one i will NOT repeat. Far better places to eat locally than there

Went here last night for food before cinema I ordered from the Xmas menu had the holiday burger only ate few bits from it I had send it back it's was soggy couldn't go cinema as I was feeling sick after couple bites and when I got home I kept being sick and still today being won't ever be coming back plus first time goin there awful they nice enough to give me a refund tho

Went for Sunday lunch very disappointed won't be going back again

I hate this pub and the manager is horrible. I went here after a warm walk to get a cold pint. I give him my id on my phone plus it says 18+. He said ‘we can’t put it through the till where other places do. I had a cold drink instead and I found an empty booth to which he said ‘you need to move as the table is reserved but had no names on it. When I ordered at the till, the manager and I were talking then this lady came in and asked her a question which is rude. Horrible attitude and horrible place 😡

Incompetent staff. After waiting 45 mins we asked if our food was coming and were told the order hadn't made it back to the kitchen. Nobody checked on us even as they served all the tables around us that arrived much later. Food is good value for money though if you manage to get it.

This was honestly upsetting, me and my dad wanted to try something new. Honestly this doesn’t even deserve 3 to almost 4 stars. This establishment needs to be shut down. Once I walked in I could tell this place was dirty. There’s multiple reasons why, to start off once you walked in there was a distinct smell of urine almost everywhere. I thought this was a restaurant not a public restroom. To add on with hygiene there was flies almost everywhere . It felt like I was Oliver Twist trying to eat any food without any care for the preparation or where it came from. It was atrocious. The staff was another thing. Never in my life would I think I would experience a waitress with no shame touching her rear end. When you sit down you are greeted with a lovely table, I think they love to clean using pritt sticks it was extremely sticky. Now for the customer service I was heavily disappointed. For people coming for the first time there wasn’t much explanation of the system. If you never have been here before you are expected to grab almost everything by yourself. We sat down for 10 minutes waiting for a waiter to the point my disabled dad had to walk by himself to the counter which is a fuss on itself to order. After that the food came in around 10 minutes which was quite odd due to we ordered 2 meals. As I looked at my meal you could tell it was microwaved and not prepared well. My chips had a brown liquid on it from how it was prepared most likely in the same area as the steak, the steak was like chewing into a leather belt I almost choked once. The only decent part was the onion rings, although they were 100% from the freezer. Once the food came we sat down for 10 minutes eating with our hands due to our waiter didn’t mention we had to grab our own cutlery. It was quite alarming due to I thought it was common hospitality to do so. In general I would heavily recommend not coming here. It’s dirty, loud and the food is attrocious. Save your money go to Mc Donalds. 👍

Great handling of a large group of 46 ladies at lunchtime on a Saturday. Pre-ordered our meals and they were delivered efficiently, with good quality and value for money. A seamless process - well done to the staff.

Lovely food, OK service, OK atmosphere. If you haven't had the candy mania then try it but perhaps share with another or don't have too large a main course! Visited on a Friday evening and I would have thought it would be full but easy enough to find a table without booking. Would I go back? Yep

Been a few times recently and the same staff are there each time. They have zero people skills and can be so rude at times. Especially the young blonde girl. It’s such a shame as the food is the best it’s ever been! Definitely need new staff!

So I had the gammon and as I struggle to cut it sometimes due to my disabilities, I asked the staff to pre cut it for me and they did, this was so helpful of them to do. Really nice and very assessable to people with all different abilities

The drinks menu's for the staff are different from on the public menu. I cant tolerate aspartame which is in lemonade, so i ordered a malibu Colada, one of the only drinks that doesnt list lemonade as an ingredient. Long story short, got aspartame in my cocktail. Thats a lawsuit you would loose.

Went for 3 meals last week all good. Booked Sunday dinner yesterday, the veg was soggy, the meat dried out and tough we were unable to cut it. Another customer requested lunch and was told to return an hour later. We were given steak and chips, that was tough, we gave up and came home. No one came to see if the second meal was okay.

First time here for my anniversary meal and it was so lovely we didn't want to leave for our cinema booking. Staff were very welcoming, helpful and polite. Food was beautiful! And it arrived quickly. The price was also much cheaper than I was expecting. Will 100% be returning!! Thank you for a lovely evening.

Awful food went there three nights as nowhere else nearby to eat. Classic over cooked freezer to the fryer food.First night ordered steak with trimmings sent it back as was inedible so overcooked disgusting. Second night fish & chips, fish overcooked and tasteless. Third night chicken/cheese wrap with salad, turned up cold and tasteless. The whole experience was disgusting.
