Maddocks Coffee House in Carmarthenshire

Enjoyed an absolutely scrumptious English Veggie breakfast here. A lovely relaxing place with fantastic friendly and fast service. Try this place it is Great!

Came here with mu daughter for the first time. On arrival we waited around a bit to be seated although we had booked the staff seemed busy & distracted so we were happy to hover. When we were seated we were not made aware that we had to the counter to order so waited around for a while before getting up to check. The interior is li Ely & quirky with a relaxing vibe, very different but very cosy & nice. Food was slow coming but when it did, wow! The food definitely made up for any waiting, Good size portions, really tasty & well presented. We will definitely be back.

My son treated me for lunch in this place today (he always raves about it). Now I am not easily pleased when it comes to eating out and I am pretty much always disappointed. However this must have been the best full English breakfast I have ever had....and I am not even exaggerating. Top quality locally produced ingredients. It was like a piece of art served in a skillet. Great work chef!!!

As always food delicious. The Stacks look awsome! Surroundings so pretty, so tasteful, you can tell the guys have put heart and sole into the place. A pleasure to spend time there. Have not been in little while but its always a VERY safe bet. There is never anything to fault normally, but I was aware that the service was not quite as smooth as it normally is, think maybe new staff still finding their feet - which you do allow for, NOTHING that would dissuade another visit. In fact I'm looking forward to our next brekkie. AND its furbaby friendly, doggos welcome.

Went for brunch lunch, Full English plentiful but some items were not warm enough. The veggie breakfast was also a bit cold, only realised after we left we had been served without the advertised rarebit. Generally ok but for the prices charged, it is expensive the game needs to be raised a bit.

We stopped hoping to get a table, we were not disappointed, great meal, very large portion . But well worth the visit. We will go again .

I happened to be in the area and popped in for a cold drink on a hot day and say something like Pasties. I had worked near this Maddocks store in the past and had been in on a few lunch breaks. First thing I noticed was the nice little shop had been turned into a posh café with not much on display. I ended up getting 4 cans of cola, 3 slices of Quiche & 2 ice creams to take away and was charged £23 WTF! I nearly said " I don't want them" and I should of. I had noticed Sandwich rolls are £4.25, That is ridiculous. Changed from the nice little local type shop it used to be, You know a village community store. People say help small businesses but Helping the community it should be. There is a cost of living crisis. Then myself and my littlest one had a bad belly/wind/ poops later that day, we ate more Quiche than the rest of my family. Cannot and will not ever be going back.

£5.50 for a slice of cake!!!!! When I questioned the price, I was told that there was a set price on the till which included cream or ice cream whether you had it or not. I wasn’t told this when I ordered. £11 for 2 small pieces of cake!!!!

Decided to try this place a couple of weeks ago after recommendations from friends. Brunch was excellent, couldn’t fault it and the dogs were extremely well catered for with a cheeky sausage. Being dog friendly inside and out is a huge bonus for us. All of the staff were lovely and we are going back for our third visit tomorrow with friends. Used to go to llandeilo but not anymore.

2 friends from work, meet face to face to catch up on the past 2 crazy years .... What better way than afternoon tea 🙂. And what an afternoon tea it was!!! Fresh, soft, proper bread sandwiches, 5 varieties including coronation chicken, chicken tikka, egg etc. Quiche, warm and lovely short pastry. The cakes and sweet things were a complete, 3 tier cake stand, with a fantastic Eton mess dessert, scones, sponges, brownies etc ... The staff were friendly, attentive and professional... Nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend and I will definitely be back.

Our first visit today, having driven passed many times. I must say we were not disappointed , we had coffee and a cake. The coffee was exactly as we ordered extra strong black and a very hot latte, they listened to what was ordered. Needless to say we will be back again. Maybe for lunch next time

Visited for cake and coffee , odd my mix up with payment , customer service in respect of this mix up needed to be better . Scone was dry and bread like , wouldn’t recommend ordering one of those. Coffee overpriced . Very pleasant decor and staff were friendly but just need to read the room when it comes to sorting out mistakes.

Very disappointed will not revisit. Food not as described on menu. Items swapped without prior warning. Items missing from meal. Very expensive and poor service.

We were looking for somewhere to break up our journey to St Davids and found this place on the phone. Not the cheapest but the food was excellent as was the coffee and the place itself was very nicely done out. We'd definitely come back, much nice than sitting in a roadside Starbucks or Costa.

Lovely, quirky place Friendly staff Service a little slow but it was busy on the day we visited. Food excellent quality and tasty but did seem over priced for what we had. Nevertheless enjoyed and will continue to visit.

Great to find somewhere that wants to stay open after 4PM for tea and cake. Nice eclectic interior with great choice of cakes.

Visited on advice of a friend. It was OK, but only OK> Two sandwiches, two coffees and a glass of wine £29. Because you put a few crisps and some salad alongside a very ordinary sandwich, doesn't make it a justifiably expensive sandwich. Will not...
