Enjoyed the food didn’t enjoy the waiting time. I placed the order around 6:30 it finally arrived 8:20 not what one would call FAST food, ok it was Saturday but I’ve never been kept waiting so long before.

The delivery of food was fine, unfortunately the food was not great. It was all under cooked and gravy was watery and we had to throw away majority of it away

Vegetarian food cooked in meat oils resulted in a piece of Pork being included in the dish. At first the restaurant argued that this was not meat, but once they collected the dish it was confirmed to be Pork. The restaurant did offer free meal.

food was Luke warm ,Kong po chicken lacked flavor, chips were cold, Chicken curry a bit of sauce and a few bits of onion must do better if you want returning customers

Really fresh food! So tasty and not overly salty or soggy. It’s definitely the best Chinese food to order on the island or surrounding areas. I won’t go anywhere else now!

Chicken hard curry sauce runny portions really small

By far the worst Chinese we’ve ever had and waited 2 hours for it! Even after 3 phone calls to chase it up we were lied to about the ETA, The portions were tiny, the food was awful, ribs and chicken satay were days old, prawn balls soggy and greasy, prawn toast like burnt rubber, everything was lukewarm infact the only edible things were the seaweed and prawn crackers! The rest went in the bin. £32 for food even our dog turned his nose at. Never order from here again. Truly awful.

Staffs are very friendly and food portions are always very generous and piping hot. They are usually quite busy on Saturdays so was happy they were able to deliver within 50minutes. Will be ordering here again

Hi there - food was really good, especially the Szechuan chicken and this is far from my first order, the food’s consistently good. However I didn’t get the large bottle of Coke; any chance it could be dropped around while someone is delivering nearby?

I get it’s Mother’s Day and busy, but the food wasn’t particularly warm when it arrived.

I have been a customer for the past twenty seven years and never had any complaints throughly recomend the slow boat and I have sampled the other Chinese takeaways on the island and this one has always been the best fantastic value for money and food tastes excellent

chicken was undercooked alil and the crispy beef was abit over cooked I know it's ment to be crispy but it was very hard

leave review come up before food delivered, rook 1hr40mins for delivery and the distance is 1.2m. food was hot but not good. never again

The food was alright, a bit bland in flavour tho and it turned up a little cold as well which is a disappointment. I usually use this place as my regular for ordering Chinese as it always comes full of flavour and piping hot.

Ordered as a special treat for birthday. chicken balls were nice, crispy beef was nice but the rest was really watery and didn’t have much flavour at all. Was really disappointed. It was also really expensive compared to our usual Chinese ( which was shut for holiday) which is why we tried this one. Unfortunately won’t be trying again

Terrible ordered a take away was told would be 40 mins delivery it 2 and half hrs when asked for refund wouldn't give one. Always use slow boat not now.

Probably the best local Chinese in the area, but the quality has taken a dive.Curry sauce was like gravy texture.prices have also risen yet the quantity remains small.The shredded chicken chow mien came in the same size tray as the egg fried rice.

Ask for no shrimp in rice but it was put in. So won't order from here ever again

High cost of lamb, only enough for four wraps should be six. Prawn balls undercooked, very doughy. Sweet and sour sauce was as thin as water and tasteless. Rice was nice.

I haven’t ordered from here in a while because last time it wasn’t aa nice as usual, I think they just had an off night, however I’m really glad to say that they seem to be back on form and I really enjoyed my dinner. I’ll definitely come back to them again soon.

Ordered at 18:10pm and finally received at 20:20pm. Tried many times to contact the restaurant to find out what was happening but no answer. The food was barely warm and flavourless, what a waste of £40 and apparently this is the best Chinese on the island, hate to think what the rest are like!

Delivery was on time... Great.. we was starving .. unfortunately food was inedible. Chicken was rubber like, the BBQ sauce was orange in colour and had oil floating, separating the sauce. Husband took two mouthfuls and binned it. Spring rolls were undercooked and bit into them unable to break through from the sogginess
