My favourite chinese takeaway for a few years now. Very tasty, Cantonese style food, similar to what you get in Jamaica. Prices are very reasonable, always arrives steaming hot when you get delivery. Update June 2024 I've moved out of the delivery area and haven't found anywhere tasty enough to replace New Silver Sea. So now, it's a planned occasional weekend treat, and I have to pick it up. It's still delicious!

Won't be giving this place another go. My food was incredibly salty. To the point it was almost inedible. My chow mein was weirdly salty (obviously cooked with extra Soy sauce which wasn't specified) but also sweet In random spots which was weird. Salt and pepper prawn where just salt and I thought the portion was rather stingy with just 5. Black bean sauce was awful thick and lumpy. Tasted more like unmixed gravy granuals. My spring roll looked great, really thick and golden but no taste to it at all. Prawn crackers small portion but free and best of the lot Didn't enjoy it at all. Waste of money from my experience and wouldn't order again.

Horrible. The delivery didn’t come for 2 hours and the workers lied saying it was on its way when the app said it was still at the restaurant. Poor service and rude workers.

Food was hot and delicious. The new menu has lots of choices and options. Definitely recommend the Malaysian Sambai Fried Rice.

This is our favourite family Chinese takeaway. They've been consistent for years and are always good with keeping us happy during the nights when we're all starving but can't find the strength to go to the kitchen.

Was a regular user of this place. I order a meal for one and the lady knows me. On this occasion I ordered my meal, went to pick it up, returned home and found a hair in my meal. I called up and explained but due to the weather and coronavirus I threw the food away and didn't return it. A week later I called reminding them of the situation. They offered to give me a meal extra if I purchase a meal. I explained the reason I buy meal for one is because there's just me. They then had a long discussion and offered me the meat but no rice..... the total cost of the meal is only £8.80. Ps I have a shaven head so no chance it was my hair.

Below average Chinese.. the sweet and sour pork was inedible, chow main was not great duck with black bean was watery.

Don’t bother ordering from here.. I ordered via just eat because golden house Chinese shop was closed. The food is just very bland and tasteless. Do not order the salt and pepper squid it’s vile! Massive onions and carrots. The foods mega cheap but not enjoy full. Avoid avoid avoid order from golden house.

avoid this place! food was 30mins late so called and they had delivered to the wrong house, 30mins later they delivered someone else's order to me and then refused to collect it and refund it. I complained to JustEat for a full refund. The food was bland and tasteless. don't use them, there are plenty of better options nearby.

Third time I’ve ordered from this place, and the last. This time I ordered Singapore chow mein. Lady on the phone repeated order back to me so i know I was understood. On collection I gave my name and the lady said, yes, Singapore rice. I said no, chow mein. She then looked at the ticket and handed the bag over regardless, knowing that she is got my order wrong. I only realised when I got home. Quite disappointing it was handled that way. In terms of food quality, its your average Chinese takeaway.

Good Food fast service and reliably priced

Little bit disappointed with this meal. Tasteless and not spicy where it should be spicy and my favourite part of any Chinese meal is the prawn toast, was a proper let down, oily and I think the prawns got away!

Very close to my home, but certainly not the best!... the food tastes ok most of the time, however like most takeaways, they have their bad days; when the food is tasteless. The service needs major improvements. However I can't see that happening; as businesses like these are more interested in taking one's money and doing their own thing; rather than paying attention to their customer's needs. So long as people still buy from them; its "business as susual" and "take it or leave it"; for the more prudent customers. Nonetheless there are quite a number of relatively good Chinese restaurants close by and since I'm "paying" for the service and not "begging" for it...I choose to go somewhere else and; have not had a bad experience so far.

Late, very rude, dry,rubbery and bland food.

AWFUL, had to phone 6 times before getting through to anyone, should have stopped trying after first no answer, got through made an order for collection, Salt and Pepper Ribs - taste like cardboard and no flavour, Chicken Satay was very bland, Spring Rolls were soggy and hardly any filling, even the Seaweed was bad, ordered main courses have not even bothered to eat them after the starters, put down for the dog and she left it, never again

I have eaten here before and normally like it when I complained about the food the response I received was quite shocking. I had to speak to another member of staff to agree a refund and when they came back for the food, convinced me to only take back £10. Such a nice place and a shame for this experience

i usually order here but today the food was awful, i will not be ordering again, very sorry however the food is usually good this might just be the one off, but i stand very put off.

It was OK but it took 10mins for them to find my house even though I live down the road from the Chinese takeaway shop it made it very disappointed in the shop I don't know if I will do delivery again or go to the shop again. :-( :-[ :-\
