New Shahi Nan Kebab in Leicester

Food is delicious, place is nice and clean and the staff are friendly. What more could you ask for.

£7 for a kebab roll is a joke! Size of the seekh kebabs were so small and I could tell they use so much fat content in them! Not good at all! Used to be good back in the days not so much now.

A great neighbourhood place to get different types of naan; butter naan, kheema naan, donner kebab. I prefer naan over bread with non-veg meals so I keep hoping to this outlet.

I have ordered from this restaurant using online food delivery. I am a foodie, exploring authentic tastes. I tried almost all food items on their menu and could assure they are hidden gem of Leicester. They offer authentic and geniune taste on fair prices. The food is packed well as well. Would highly recommend their nihari, qeema and biryani.

Have been going here since I was a kid mayby once every few years as the years went by and the food had always been bang on. Had a family freind bring me a takeaway of kebabs back to London for me recently and still as good as you can get. Don't change the recipe!

RIP OFF! DISGUSTING!!! this guy is a joke absoloute rip off use to be so good couple years ago his kebabs have been getting so tiny ive have attached a photo its a joke £9 for a chicken mix look at the size of the chicken pieces 2 of them are like popcorns lol THE GUY ALSO JUST CAME OUT FROM THE BACK OF THE KITCHEN AND WIPED THE SWEAT OF HIS FOREHEAD WITH HIS HAND NO SHAME!!!! even the seekh are not the biggest. Whoever goes here has not travelled round leicester and seen other takeaways kebabs. I mean i know prices have gone higher but the size of this £9 you can get a full chicken for more less that price lol

I never tried it but my uncle took me there and I was mind blown by the tasty food the place provided next time I come back to Leicester I will definitely come back to this brilliant kebab shop.

Finally found a place that serves proper seekh kebabs and not kebabs full of fat mixed with garam masala. They were full of flavour and juicy. Definitely will be ordering from here now on.

Ordered 2 curries and 2 nans. The curries were very poor quality. They were both watery and looked like they had simply heated up pre-prepared food. Very bland and extremely disappointing food. Avoid at all costs.

I ordered from deliveroo and my mistake as you can't see the real reviews... The google reviews indicated that the quality has dropped and the reviews were correct. There are far too many better places to spend your money, food was average at best and suffice to say, will not order from here again. Deliveroo, the customer service, the delivery time and delivery driver were all good.

Without a doubt the best lamb curry, butter chicken and keema naans I have ever tasted in my life. I would reccomend this place 100% Nourriture délicieuse, je recommanderais à tout le monde le curry d'agneau, les naans keema et le poulet au beurre! Ils sont les meilleurs que j'aie jamais mangés. 100% Bonne.

Food was decent, quite expensive, but unfortunately I had a bad stomach shortly after the meal, maybe due to hygiene levels being poor.

Used to be awesome but seems the owners have changed and the quality of food too. Kebabs are not like they used to be.

Food is well cooked - and the shop is very clean. I could tell hygiene is important to them. Above all, the food never fails to satisfy my expectation - very tasty.

The place is not much to look at... but the Food was very nice, I ate there some years back before it changed owners and it was great then. I see the standards in flavour have not waned. I will be visiting again in the not too distance future. Psst...I would have taken a picture of food... sorry I consumed it... down to the last onion 😉

Awful experience. Fancied an Indian meal during lockdown been working 12 hour shifts. Ordered from here, a Nihari Lamb which Ive had in a number of places before and made by Indian friends. Ordered with Pilau and Naan It was 4 small pieces of lamb in what I can only describe as brown water with slices of ginger. Looks like the chapati flour (or whatever they were supposed to use) wasnt added to thicken - and nothing else really. It was like tea....it soaked into the nan couldnt put it on the nan, and same with the rice, it sank through and the rice floated in it rather than it sitting on the rice. Absolutely terrible. No substance to it at all. I could have drank it rather than ate it. Well, I didnt do either......after it ruined the rice and the naan. £13 down the drain. Ive found since ordering from a number of places since lockdown the quality in a couple of places (not to mention portion size) is horrendous value. In case the company respond I have the Deliveroo order number 6815 of 17/4/20.

Ordered their lamb and chicken biriyani plenty of times as a takeaway. It is the best biriyani I have ever had! I am always craving their food. Definitely try their food, you won't be disappointed!

This my favourite mixed kebab (lamb seekh kebab and chicken tikka) in Leicester. Bargain price for a small portion at £5 which has a skewer of each meat, salad, mint and chilli sauce and is the perfect size to fill me up. The biggest let down is they don't f-ing accept card. CASH ONLY which is so annoying when the closest cash machines don't work or charge 1.75 for a withdrawal (not their fault) but it ain't the 1960s get a damn card machine! All this said, still my favourite spot for a kebab, will return....having had gonna to a cash point beforehand of course.

Very bad experience completely messed up my order then argues with me saying I ordered something else. Will never visit ever again suggest others to triple check the orders they put it.

This place was the place to enjoy a kebab. The mix kebab 2 skewers of chicken pieces and 2 skewers of lamb seekh kebabs rolled in a naan, salad and sauce separate. A frequent visitor, staff are friendly but always changing and more recently the quality seems to have dropped. I have to say I haven't tried anything else from the menu apart from the kheema naan, also awesome! But recently the meat has been dry and the general cleanliness of the shop where they cook seems to have dropped. Minor improvements needed which would make it great again but I don't go as much as I used to because being afood lover I hate being let down! Sort it out Shahi!

Just been back and it's not great news. They have really gone downhill. The naan is no longer fresh, its bought in from costco along with the water. Really not impressed.

The best biryani in leicester in my opinion and my family and friends opinion too. My family have been eating biryani from here since I was a kid and I’ve got so many of my friends hooked on the biryani here, it is so addictive my mouth is watering just thinking about it. The staff have always been super friendly too!

Firstly this place is so dirty and the staff are rude and Ill mannered Ordered a kebab roll, very little salad. Naan bread was rock hard like a Frisbee.. No salad or sauce. The chicken curry and rice gave us food poisoning the following morning. Avoid at all costs unless you want to be seriously ill .

Ordered a chicken tikka only to get 6 pieces no bigger than cloves of garlic. Not even half a chicken breast used. Meat was tough and chewy. The salad was obviously left overs from the day before as brown and soggy. Very disappointed. Would not recommend.
