Always enjoy the food from here. I ordered the Spicy Chicken kebab for the first time and the guy warned me it was very spicy. He wasn't kidding - it's like eating fire!! I probably won't order that again but I love the hoagies and the curries are good too.

Great kebabs when their right, but not everytime! had a couple of dry overcooked one's in the past but tonight's one was excellent

Chicken kebab has the texture and taste of rubber.

This take away has never failed to deliver first class food and service. I sometimes order in person or have food delivered. Each meal and sundries have been well prepared and great value for money. Deliveries are always prompt with respectful delivery drivers.

As far as I'm concerned, the Sahiwal is the best Indian Takeaway in Kirky

Got a delivery on night a pizza n bottle of juice didn't notice the price that was mentioned gave the girl driver a 5 pound tip for within a mile range..aw well need to be more careful in the future..

Ordered a takeaway for collection. I got the feeling the girl who took the order over the phone wasn’t listening. I ordered a South Indian sauce only and a garlic Nan. I repeated the order twice. When I arrived at the shop they didn’t have an order for my name! I spoke to another woman and again told her the order was a sauce only & garlic Nan bread. The order was already waiting. I drove hime.. 20 minutes away. When I got home I opened the sauce… full of chicken.., so I phoned to complain. The msn on phone said he would send another one out in 20 minutes. After 40 minutes I called them back. Still no order. He sad the delivery driver had already been and got no answer. I told him it was a buzzer entry and no one had buzzed. He said well the driver was on way back to the shop and wouldn’t come back now! I told him the customer service was atrocious and they had just lost a customer. Not happy!

Have ordered our takeaway from here on numerous occasions. We are always happy with the delicious food. Generous portions are always appreciated. 👍

Used to be a regular here until we had a bad experience. Gave the the benefit of the doubt but, no. Standard of food has dropped. Undercooked Nan bread; burnt on outside, soggy and doughy inside with unpleasant stale, sweaty smell. Curry lacking in flavour with extra hot spice masking lack of depth of ingredients. Very sad to see a place go downhill like this. Why not just make good food and charge a bit more if costs have risen? Don't make customers pay for your lack of interest in good food. We will not be retuning. Wasted my money and will chuck out the remaining food (which we had hoped would be tomorrow's lunch) couldn't face it again.

Not only the best curry place in Kirkintilloch, if not the world, but also fantastic service, more than resolving a minor issue.

Been going here for years, very disappointed in the food quality since the new management took over,once a great takeaway but not anymore, shame, kirky mahal blows it out the water by far, great food at the mahal.

Absolutely phenomenal, I asked them if they could make a chicken chasni hoagie as it not on the menu and they said they would do it and it came and I thoroughly enjoyed it one of the best things I’ve ever put in my mouth cheers to the staff for doing it. needs to be a any curry hoagie on the menu

All the food is fresh and impeccable, the staff is exceptionally well mannered. The shop is incredibly sanitary and thoroughly clean. This is the best takeaway in Glasgow, in fact the world.

Staff are friendly and I like them all. The portion sizes are unrivalled (massive). However if I am honest (my own taste) I'm not so keen on the food definitely prefer Ibby's. Sometimes I am lazy & the pay by card option wins which is why I still use NS or if I have a shop to do in the Scotmid next to it.

We’ve been ordering here for a while now. The chicken tikka pasanda is mouth watering - we get this with fried rice and a peshwari naan which always arrived at our front door piping hot. Pakora is also great. In general a great take away

Family member ordered chicken pakora yesterday found a hair but just left it then today ordered a munchie box and had a hair in Donna meat will not be ordering again!! Phoned restaurant they were adamant there couldn’t have been a hair in it!

I’ve been a customer for over 20 years, likely, closer to 30. Has always been my ‘go to’ place for a takeaway in Kirkintilloch. I’ve seen some of the more recent reviews and accept that sometimes, places might not get it completely right. That said, I have never had any issues throughout my many years of patronage. My most recent order turned up, delicious as usual and with a complimentary Naan, as I’d forgotten to order any accompaniment. Discounted prices and delivery if you use their own app and just as importantly, a secure online payment system. Tried The South Indian Garlic Chilli Chicken for only the second time and it was delicious. Loads of flavour and not as much ‘nip’ as you might expect. What’s not to like and if not happy, please give the guys a chance to put right…….. Mike H Kirkintilloch

Don't know if there has been a change of management or what but the food had changed and not for the better. The pita breads are soggy. The food is luminous so match food dye my hands be yellow for the next week. Salad that's joke its just onion. Food is much hotter but that doesn't make it taste any better.

Amazing food slight mix up with order on Friday spoke to staff the nxt night and was surprised to find pokora and kabab meat extra in my bag .thank you

Quality totally unacceptable, have been using this indians for years and years and has always been the best and now wouldn’t even give my dog it , and a tandoori mix are you having a laugh there’s a tandoori mix and then a BURNT MIX!!!! And you’ve a cheek to charge £15.50 for it , pure disgrace! Don’t know if it’s new owners or what but use have went right down hill And are losing customers who have gave you business for years & years but seems to be use don’t give a s**t. WONT BE BACK!

Been a loyal customer of this shop for over 10 years. Quality of the food has noticably gone downhill for some time now. Customer service has also became unacceptable with obnoxious unhelpfull disrespectful girl behind the counter. Will never use the shop again!

Take to long with ur order . Called for a pick up an was told 20mins which was ok . Went to collect it 20mins later an waited another 50mins for it not recommend .

Most upset tonight. Kebab was smothered in onions even though we asked twice for none. Garlic nan had no garlic. Rice was watery when put on a plate. Chicken bhuna was beautiful. Meal ruined for my husband and a waste of money. So disappointed

Food has always been good but had couple dodgy meals bout a year ago. Glad to say food is back to it's normal high standard. Kebabs and pizzas are amazin. Thanx guys.

Just received my order via Just Eat. Really lovely curry (lamb dansak). Garlic naan was very tasty, though cold - chance you take with deliveries, I guess. However, I was very surprised to be asked to pay an extra pound for delivery by the driver - I though Just Eat included all costs, including delivery?

I ordered at 8.15 was told delivery would be 9.20 which was rubbish and I couldn't cancel it then it never arrived until 10.20 and it was cold! I phoned the restaurant and they never even asked any details and said we are very busy it's out for delivery

Had a delcious chiken tikka bhuna fried rice Veg pakora tandoor chapatti 10/10

Love their tender lamb bhuna somtimes needs a wee touch of yoghurt, their fresh salad is lovely mixed th rough the curry.Good tip .Cx

We use the New Sahiwal at least 3 times a month but over the past few months the quality has noticeably changed for the worse. To now find that the pizza bases are now 'thin and crispy' instead of the the standard 'deep pan' makes for a much less satisfying pizza - a lot less toppings/cheese, yet the same premium price. £18-£20 for a couple of thin and crispy pizzas? Hopefully they go back to the original bases.

Cold, and took an hour and a half to get here, guess they are busy for easter monday, but im busy with uni work and I ordered food in to save time not cooking, now im having to warm up the oven to re-heat my pizza. I cant stand cold pizza, hate leaving this comment as sahiwal is usually very good with quality and speed (20-30 min delivery time usually), but my last few orders were luke-warm or cold and later than expected.

Chicken tikka bhuna was perfect as usual. Best Indian takeaway this side of the Clyde.

Our family have visited this place from the day it opened. It's always been my dad's choice of all the indian food in Kirkintilloch. However over the past few years the quality has all but gone. (I use quality as far as one can for take away food). The straw that broke the donkeys back however came when I ordered via just eat. Paid online and their delivery driver came to the door and said I was to hand over another £2.50. I'm left somewhat bemused and after some discussion I phone the store and the well scripted girl informs me I had been charged because I wanted my salad and sauce separate. Surely the same effort goes into putting the sauce and salad on your meal as it does to put it in a tub that costs pennies. What's more the world knows these places over charge as it is and given we had been ordering from them from over twenty years it just shows you that greed has overtook customer service. Never been back since and never will be back.

Used to be the best place to go for a kebab but recently its getting worse each time. After my previous order they have lost our custom. Photograph attached is a pile of burnt chunks i had to pick out of my kebab. There was not 1 strip of meat, looked like it had been shredded.

loved the thinner crispier base on the pizza tonight, much enjoyed and appreciated.

My mum orders from here frequently and really enjoys it. On the other hand, when she has ordered for me the past few times I have been less than impressed.. Chips are a hit or miss, sometimes they taste either refried or like the oil needs changed. With my recent order left a note asking for a different sauce as I don't like chillies and they neglected to put any sauce on my meal.

Fast del.pizza was perfectly cooked. 10/10.

Amazing! Usually go with Ashoka but haven't enjoyed last few times so went with these guys. Wow!! Peshwari naan and chasni was AMAZING and the mushroom pakora starter portion could have fed an army! Loved it ❤️

Delivery on time and driver was a very pleasant chap. I ordered a South Indian Garlic Chilli Chicken and I'm not quite sure that's what I got. It was nice enough but tasted more like a bhuna with more sauce and it didn't have much of a kick to it. Would try again though.
