I’m very appalled by the service. I ordered chicken chow mein x two, chips and curry sauce, and salt and pepper chicken. I was charged £37 on my card when the website and Facebook says it should’ve been no more than £25.50 when I challenged the restaurant about this, they refuse to give me a refund. Have ignored all of my messages, and just stated that it’s the old menu despite the website saying it was updated four weeks ago. I will never go back again. Be aware when ordering from here!!! They will rob your money

My regular take away place, yet to have a bad meal, unlike other take aways I have had Always quick to cook & collect, and recommend the ribs, sweet and sour chicken and especially the "spicy chips".👍 Pop in, order, then grab a pint at "The Shoes" while waiting

Food was delivered much later than informed. When it did arrive it looked like it had been cooked as long as I had waited which was an hour and 45 minutes. Food was in edible and the chicken looked like chicken nuggets not chicken wings as per menu. I could never recommend and will never order from here again extremely disappointed and ripped off.

This is a great place to order from. Calling them was easy and straight forward and the order was quickly made. Delivery was when we were told it would be and the meal was very hot and extremely delicious! Best Chinese I’ve had for a long time and best my mum has had in her life. Thank you for such a wonderful meal - we will be ordering again :)

We was told 30 minutes to wait for our food collection and when arriving we had to wait nearly 2 hours. A dish was missed which we had to then wait for 20 minutes extra . The food was poor quality and tasteless when usually it is ok. For £100 I expect better service and better food. I called the next day due to them closing early the night we originally ordered ( and we also had company). I was told I would be able to get 50% off my next order and this was agreed. Upon calling today to claim the gesture of good will I was told this wasn’t possible and only 20% is what they could offer. Unfortunately I do not like being told false information and mislead so I will take my business elsewhere. This is very disappointing as I have been a customer of New ocean city for a number of years.

Always find it welcoming good variety of vegetarian food,once even delivered my food as there was an issue and I'm not in there delivery circle

We often order takeaway from New Ocean city. It has been in Newmarket for as long as I can remember. Situated on Station Road, just off the Clock Tower, it is a 2 minute walk from the High Street. There's very limited on road parking outside but you can normally find a place somewhere along the road....park near the gap and enjoy the 2 min walk back to the takeaway. Service is always excellent. They do get busy so order ahead of you can. Good normally excellent.

Really gone down hill, Used these for years, driver went to wrong address, food arrived late, cold and sweaty, order was wrong, food was terrible quality, not the usual quality we’ve received in the past, not a lot of food for £50 either! They did send out replacements which went in the bin as chow median boodles black and chips soggy and greasy. Shame as Won’t bother using them again.

Consistently the best Chinese takeaway in Newmarket - I have been ordering from here for years, and the quality has always been excellent. Would definitely recommend.

12.10 for a small special rice and curry sauce pawn crackers very expensive Chinese and the pawn crackers are stale must be there weeks sorry its a rip off

Really do not know what’s happened with this takeaway but we will not use it again. The beef with black bean was questionable and portions were very limited. Quite oiley both dishes ordered and only for there being some flavour, it would have been a single star rating. Sorry Ocean City, but we have ordered our last from you.

This is yet again another takeaway minus prawn crackers. May seem petty but we do like a prawn cracker with our takeaway. Won’t be using these again as staff attitude incredibly rude and they just hung up when we asked where the prawn crackers were ? The delivery driver said they don’t have any ?? Never heard a Chinese who dont have prawn crackers especially when you spend over £30! Will try over takeaway next time

We had a fabulous takeaway last night dinner for 3 Delicious .... loverly and hot and although they said 35 minutes more like 20... highly recommend... thank you all very much..

My new go to takeaway, they can make you food off the menu too which is a bonus.

I realise it's Saturday night and takeaways are busy, but was told 30 minutes, so arrived 35 minutes after ordering and waited until an hour since ordering. Ordered 3 sweet and sour sauce, but they were all approximately 3/4 full compared to normal. Disappointing after the long wait and not worth the drive back to have them topped up.

Open bank holiday, fast preparation and easy collection. We love it.

DISSAPOINTING. Tried to take extra money off my card when using the card reader. Clearly hoping I wouldn't notice or ask for a receipt. Please check the digits they put in the card reader and the amount you actually owe !!

Best Chinese takeaway in Newmarket! Love it

1st take away of the year and we are sooo pleased we picked Ocean City, they did not disappoint, they never have. We are not regulars with any take away (as you can see) but we will be back again and again

Well done Ocean City, one of the few things that have kept us sane through this current madness, Great food, great tastes , good enough to beat the lockdown blues. Each item we have had , so far, has been very good, and we are slowly working our way through the extensive menu.

Consistently very good quality food, very pleasant staff and reasonably priced. One of the best Chinese takeaways ever, very highly recommended.

Have tried a couple of Chinese takeaways in Newmarket but this is by far the best. Always well cooked and delicious. Would always recommend phoning to place your order as quite busy every night, but this not surprising as the choice and price is excellent

When ever we have a large family get together and as we all love Chinese food. Our order is always with new ocean city. Wonderful food and great service 😋😋

The crispy duck was awesome and my (very picky) daughter loved the chicken fried rice. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are very generous!

Happy to find this restaurant delivers as it never use to,I ordered Duck,Prawns,Chicken and Beef,All were very tasty and definitely I’ll be ordering again.

Excellent Chinese for a very decent price, it's our takeaway of choice. The Fountain is a more expensive finer dining experience but for a regular takeaway this place orders great flavoured foods, very much recommended.

The food is always generous helpings but sometimes a little greasy . However they are always friendly and do their very best to have orders ready on time

Ordered my food at 7pm and told it would be 15 minutes, I noticed it was busy so was happy to wait 1/2 hour or so as they usuallyAre the best Chinese in town. Once it got to 8pm I was bloody annoyed! Despite several Complaints from others they continued to take orders. The girl on the front counter admitted to someone they had loads of food cooked and in boxes and were trying to figure out who it was for! Finally got my food at 8.20 only to get home and discover that not only was I missing a few items but the food was lukewarm at best. Had ordered for 6 people, massive waste of £70. Not good enough. Don’t take orders if you don’t have the capacity to fill them and don’t lie about how long the wait is. Poor service.

Ordered take away at 5pm...Told it would be 20 mins...6pm rang to see where our meal was and told out for delivery...6.35pm rang and cancelled order as it would have been getting cold ...This is not the 1st time its happened to us so will no longer order from Ocean City...Went into town to get fish and chips..Went past the Ocean City and was completely empty so why cant food be delivered on time

We have been coming to this Chinese for many years and always considered it by far the best in the area. Unfortunately, this evening we had a very disappointing experience. We placed a telephone order and we're told it would be 40 mins. We turned up on time and had to wait a further 20 minutes before our good was ready. Upon getting it home, we found that there were several items missing/not what we ordered and everything was cold.It will be some time before we come here again.

Awful...used this take away for over 10 years on and off. Worst meal we've had. Watery with no flavour...even extra soy sauce didnt help. 3 of us ended up dumping it and going for pizza

I've had takeaways from here many times and it's always been my favourite even despite competition. Make sure you order via phone before collection as they're often very busy especially at weekends but highly recommend

Not bad. Ordered chicken noodle soup and veg spring rolls. Veg rolls were tasty and hot. Chicken soup hot but mediocre. Not much flavour... but it's soup so who really cares. Will order again.

Reasonable Chinese at a reasonable price.

'Chip shop' type chinese takeaway, dishes were good quality and reasonable sized portions. Large selection of dishes available and none of the grease problems you sometimes get with an unknown takeaway.

Very good food and fast service. Love the crispy seaweed.

Only been once but the food was excellent! Going back again today. Definitely recommend!!t
