First time using this place and they get the order wrong. I told them and they insisted that my order was correct considering I went in and ordered it myself.

firstly may I comment on pancake rolls both were disgusting had been filled with bean shoots under cooked only two prawns in each no seasoning what's so ever .now let's get on to number 61 on menu chicken with bamboo and water chestnuts in all years I've had this it's made with chicken breast not the c r a p left overs with skin on it was insult to serve that was also most disgusting thing I've ever had pleasure of being served be warned people there back to serving bad dishes again I'd go else where if I was you

Found this place since moving to Hereford. Always so good never greasy, well priced and service is so quick even without calling ahead.

Great food, good portion sizes, reasonable prices. I changed from my regular Chinese Takeaway when it was unexpectantly closed for the evening. I will continue using Lucky House as good food and service is hard to find.

Visited here numerous times, but last week we grabbed a much needed takeaway, noticed the portions were much smaller and the price had crept up. The food wasn't so tasty unfortunately... Probably won't return!!

Definitely the best Chinese take out in Hereford, despite not offering delivery they are quick, efficient and very friendly, telephone in your order and collection in ten minutes and the food is absolutely amazing, one draw back is they only accept cash but the service and food males up for it. I would recommend to anyone.

Cash only and no delivery but 100% worth the effort to go to the cash point and then go and collect it, The food is always AMAZING, very consistent in quality, busy Chinese but always gets it out pretty quick. Definitely the best Chinese in Hereford 👍

This Chinese take away offers great food at reasonable cost. Even though we ordered on the phone there was still a long wait. The quality of the food and the portion sizes are both good.

If this is the best Chinese in Hereford don’t eat Chinese in Hereford! I spent £70 for a family of 4 and none of us enjoyed it and more went in the bin than was consumed.

Food tasted ok But have spent the next two days with bad stomach and constant diarrhoea Also a very dry mouth and throat on the night after eating it I think owing to the MSG and salt Won’t be frequenting again.

Food didn't take long for collection, staff were polite, premises appeared clean, some parking outside and the portions were quite generous. Unfortunately the food itself was dry and rather tasteless.

This has consistently been THE BEST CHINESE in Hereford. We have used it forever, even the new owners have taken up the mantel. However, the last time we went, my partner and I both had the most awful, awful food poisoning from the salt and pepper prawns, he was extremely unwell as he would only share a couple with me (think Smithy from Gaven and Stacey!) . I still wasn't sure I'd make it. I will never ever eat prawns again. However, it's hopefully a one off and the food was still great. We all take a risk with things like prawns so I'm putting it down to a bad day as there have never been issues before

Good tasty food, waited around 10 mins after ordering so pretty good for a busy take-a-way. Parking in the street outside, no issue with spaces when I went on a Wednesday night. Will use again next time I am in the area, 9/10.

Visited again on Friday 22nd October and a few more times since. We always phone our order through and it's ready when we get there. The meals are always great and reasonably priced, what more do you want.

Had my first meal from there tonight. Best Chinese meal I have had for years. Great flavours and the beef was so tender. Would certainly recommend. Definately go again

really clean, busy but fast service

Order was wrong when opened and it was too much hassle to run the gauntlet of traffic again. Less flavour than I would have hoped for.

Visited on Friday 24th September for takeaway meal. We went there just before 6.00pm and didn't take long to get our meals. There is an extensive menu to choose from and after deciding what we wanted it only took 10 minutes to cook it. It seemed most people were phoning through their order and coming to pick it up or have it delivered which is great if your in a hurry. Food was delicious and reasonably priced.

Do a little side road off Whirecross Rd. A hidden gem.

Really nice and really reasonable. 3 adults well fed for 20 quid. Sweet n sour chicken, Duck in plum sauce and Chicken chow mien. All good.

Only reason this gets 4* instead of 5* is because they gave me Chinese bbq ribs in Chinese sauce instead of the bbq sauce I asked for. Have tried other Chineses in Hereford but for me this is the best one I've been too so far. The weekend was the first time I had been here and food was ready in very quick time. Egg fried rice was amazing, chicken curry also very good just too much onion for me. Even though they got the rib flavour wrong the Chinese style ones were still probably some of the better ones I've had. Even the prawn crackers had flavour. Beef chop suey was very good also. I will visit again and then hopefully I can turn 4* into 5*

Looking for a decent Chinese, New Lucky House was reccomend, it didn't disappoint...food hot fresh and full of flavour. We will be returning.

Food is extremely tasty, fresh, fast and hot. After trying to find ‘the best’ NewLuckyHouse doesn’t disappoint! You know it’s good when you struggle to get through on the phones..so order sooner rather than later! When popping into store to collect it is extreme clean and welcoming! I picked up 17 - yes 17 - different orders last night for our Apartments. There wasn't one mistake, the food was hot and very, very tasty. Not one complaint or what if.... Well done The Lucky House. We shall be back!

One of the best Chinese takeaways in Hereford

Lovely lady taking your orders, very efficient and quick turnaround for your order to be prepared. Food was very good and would definitely eat here again should we be in the area. Cash only though, no possibility of paying by card. Tax dodge perhaps ?

A house that is both fairly novel and somewhat fortunate.

We have always had our food from here, not sure if different owners since revamp, had a takeaway last week and every dish was delicious. Easy to order over the phone, food ready in 15 minutes, free prawn crackers and bottle of pop (we spent £45). Food comes in plastic takeaway containers since revamp but generous portions and piping hot. Bear in mind cash only & they no longer deliver.

Ordered a takeaway on a Friday night for collection. Ordered over the phone and price confirmed. Food ready in 15 minutes and was tasty and piping hot. It was a large order for eight people but all dishes were of a high standard. Free prawn crackers and Pepsi due to the order size.Just be aware it is cash only, no cards.I would use again and recommend.

Visited here on my first night in Hereford for work.It was that good i went back again on my second night. The chicken and vegatables are so fresh and juicy. The girl behind the counter was very helpfull with the receipt i required. defo would return when back in Hereford

Had a bit of a revamp. The old chip shop layout has been replaced. Clean, tidy with good food. Bit of a shame no deliveries. Nice staff. Will continue ordering. Love the Kung Po.

Get with the times - even some market stalls take card payments. No visible signs to say cash only - Left the order.

Visited again on Friday 28th June for chinese takeaway. This visit was just as good as the last, they have a huge selection on menu to choose from. It didn't take long to cook and we were on our way home to enjoy our meal. You can order your meal over the phone as they do delivery as well. As I'm staying close by I always call in and collect it myself.

Caught gastroenteritis/food poisoning from this establishment. Left me bed ridden for nearly five days. Absolutely disgraceful in this day and age, I wonder what there getting upto behind closed doors with your food... You never know.

Visited on Friday 10th May for Chinese takeaway, the meals tasted great and are still good value. What more can I say.

Average take away. Crispy chilli beef had literally no beef inside. Small portions of meat in chicken Hong Kong style. Not much sauce.

Can’t seem to find a decent Chinese takeaway. King prawns, has to be said were “lush” As for the rest, not so good. Where on earth do they buy their chicken, very odd in texture and taste. Won’t be going there again.

Friendly service and good food!

Lived nearby for many years. Used to be OK but average. Changed hands in the last year or so and food moved up a notch. Had probably 6 or 7 meals over the last year and been pleased each time. Good or better than competition in the City centre so will continue to use.

Freezing cold inside. Even the person on the till had a coat on with the hood up. We stood at the till to order, started to order and rudely the lady on the till just answered the phone and started to take that order instead. Needless to say, we walked out to go somewhere more welcoming.

Needing a delivered meal for 11 people, I checked out all the reviews for the area and decided to go for New Lucky House. I telephoned to check on delivery and find out where I could get the menus as unfortunately no website. I followed up with a visit to collect menu and told to order following day when they open at 5.00pm and no problem to deliver for 6.00pm to our address.On ordering next day at 4.50pm was told would be difficult for 6pm as other side of town, busy traffic etc. As we had a function to attend afterwards I asked them to try for 6pm. To their credit it all arrived on the dot at 6.00pm. Large quantity of food, sufficient for seconds and also leftovers which we finished on return from the function. Good quality and complimented by all.Watch out for tricky parking by their premises though, with parking wardens patrolling and doing good business when I visited.

The spare ribs and chicken wings were lovely.
