A wonderful dining spot with a warm atmosphere and amazing food. The staff is friendly and attentive. Highly recommended!

The new Jasmine House is an average Chinese takeaway. The service was great but the food was average; I was also a bit concerned that it was ready within 2 mins of ordering, suggesting it might have been re-heated or microwaved. The latter was my guess because the fried rice was massively over cooked.

Excellent Chinese food. Well organised, and efficient - and a real bonus for me is that they have a good choice of gluten-free options on the menu. I trust them - we had meals twice over the period of our 'stay', and I trust their claims. I am a very sensitive Coeliac, and I had no negative reactions. Thumbs up whether GF or Norm!!

came for the buffet at around 7.40pm monday 22nd april; the food was absolutely amazing, cozy restaurant with amazing staff, the man who was working was great made the experience amazing

It was a cheeky Friday evening. Myself and my hungry clan visited this emporium for the 1st time. We had booked a table and I'm glad we did as it was jolly busy when we arrived. We were quickly seated and our drinks order was taken. We had 2 young urchins in our party and thr host entertained them with jokes as he took out order etc. We enjoyed the buffet which was great. We ordered several starters and they were all amazing. The salt and pepper ribs are the best I've ever tried, simply delicious. My only complaint was that a few of our party ordered the mix platter for thr starter and so 5 portions of thr mixed platter was brought to the table on a huge plate and put at the one end of the table, I watched in disbelief as the folks at that Ed of the table promptly polished it off whilst little old me was only able to grab 1 rib! Despare not though as the staff returned and asked if we wanted to order any more starters, which we did so I got my share in the end. The mains were ordered and I must say they arrives very quickly and in quite sizeable portions too. We all had something different and they were all fantastic. We were stuffed by the time we had finished the mains. We had a party of 8. (2 children) Most of us had 2 drinks and we ate until we couldn't move and the bill came to a little over £20 each. We will be returning.

We bought a take away as a birthday treat! Did I say treat! It was a nightmare. Cold chicken in Fried rice (4 pieces) dry & tasteless chips in curry sauce.chips not cooked properly. Chilli beef £7 + in a small container......5 small pieces beef, masses of onion, peppers Noodle container small,.............all tasteless, dryoverpriced and cold. Will we go again? NO!!!!!!!I Oh forgot to mention.......free bag pomadoms. Greasy & black spots!

My 8 year-old daughter wanted to go for a Chinese for her birthday so 6 of us decided to go for the first time. Well they could not have done enough for us. Great fun with the staff, so much food and amazing value. Obviously doing things well as they were having to turn people away and we went in to eat at 5.30. Will definitely go back and they made a fuss of our daughter for her birthday. Would definitely recommend.

A warm welcome followed by a great buffet meal. Nothing was to much from the attentive staff. Service was very good topped off by good tasty food. Eat in or take out your choice but you will not be disappointed.

I fell in love with Jasmine House Chinese restaurant way back in 1987 and have eaten there many times since. Throughout the years it has remained loyal to its roots serving up fabulous Chinese food at a great price. Staff are always friendly and attentive and make sure your experience is great

Found metal in my food it wasn't the first time, It was off a scouring pad, Pretty big piece, Put me off completely

Ordered a takeaway for collection after work, no issue with the waiting time and service was good at the counter... The horrors only started when I got home, two portions of chips completely undercooked, needed more time in the fryer, chicken was so chewy we had to keep leaving the table to put in the bin, the rice was so hard - every dish we had was not edible, disgusting as this cost over £30. For my daughter to use the word 'minging' to describe her dinner was just about right. We've used the takeaway service here many many times in the past but tonight was definitely our last.

We'd had takeaway before, but this was our first time eating in. Pleasant food, we had the buffet, but as we didn't eat loads, it's probably cheaper to have ordered separately.

Food in all sauce tasted the same. Chips were bland. Prawn crackers very greasy and didn't taste of prawn. Boiled plain rice not fluffy just a lump, egg fried rice nothing in it no egg just yellow clump. Food very poor hard to tell what dishes were by 2 letters scribbled on box, £160 spent on takaway, poor ingredients and poor cooking.House speciality Steak not beef steak more like cheap cut like knuckle very expensive. Only duck ok but that was it out of mixed variey of dishes as you can see by price!

It actually pains me to write this but have been thinking about it for a while, having visited this place at least once a month for the past 22 years, sitting in and take aways, however never again. First off, the prices. Whilst this has never been the cheapest Chinese restaurant in Hereford, the prices are now ridiculously high, almost laughable actually when compared to other restaurants in the city. They have repeatedly risen the prices of items by 20p multiple times within the last year alone. If this food was good then it would still be worth it but this brings me on to point number two. So not only have they constantly been raising prices, the quality of the food has nose dived in the last year or so. The meat is paper thin, tasteless and chewy, the noodles and rice are rock hard and the chips are always under cooked and crunchy inside. The fried soft noodles are often burnt and the curry sauce tastes like vinegar. For the prices they charge, this is criminal. I once recommended this place to everyone and said it was worth the price but find myself turning people away when they mention it out of embarrassment that they will get a bad meal after talking about this place a lot previously. And then we have the service, once phenomenal however this too has taken a turn and has become indifferent and in some cases, downright rude. They often get orders wrong and then openly blame you for ordering the wrong thing, and not only that, count your change, I've also been short changed multiple times and then again they deny it when you go back and confront them. A problem that would be solved if they took card payments, which they refuse unless your order is over £25 or more and even then they are reluctant to let you use it, forcing you in to the shop next door to use their ATM which is often out of order so you have to buy something to get cashback, money I don't want to spend. So in short, this place was once great, easily the best in town, however this is certainly no longer the case and will never be returning or recommending this place to anyone, in fact I will be telling everyone to head out to Amazing Asia or New Chop Suey Bar or New Lucky House. These places are far cheaper, food is much nicer and service is certainly far more friendly. New Jasmine House, you've really let yourself down, and this chain of one star reviews here seems to prove it. Buck up.

Great takeaway. Tonight we had a meal in the restaurant for the first time and we were impressed. The food was great as always and of good quantity. The restaurant is bright and airy, the service also good, a great evening meal out and not overcrowded either, it was just right.

Said the rice was crunchy and asked for it to be replaced - was told it should be!! (but never before!) was told i wasn't a Chinese cook, then the waiter went around asking other tables was there rice crunchy too to insult me - they obviously don't like food complaints!! only been going here for over 25 years with my family - NEVER AGAIN

Ordered a takeaway last Saturday and I was not impressed in the slightest! The “chicken balls” were rock hard pieces of over cooked crap, couldn’t eat them!! The chow mein consisted of the mushiest noodles I’ve ever had in my life with a load of random stuff in and did not taste good at all!! The egg fried rice did not contain any egg!! And the prawn crackers were soft! I called up and complained and they were not interested in the slightest in trying to rectify this for me! Safe to say I will not be returning, i wouldn’t even feed it to my dog! Threw £17 worth of food in the bin 🤬

Excellent food and service well priced

A large group of us ate here tonight and as usual the service and food was superb. They made us feel at ease even though our group were being quite loud and boisterous, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you 😊

Have been to this restaurant in the past and thought it was amongst the best, if not THE best, in Hereford. We ordered the Set Meal for three take away. We also ordered an extra portion of chicken balls. Could not believe the poor quality of the food nor the tiny portions. The sweet and sour pork was absolutely inedible, and was thrown away. The only half decent dish was the beef in black bean sauce. The extra portion of Chicken balls came in a tiny bag and was not Chicken balls but Popcorn chicken. I don't know whether this restaurant is under new management but I can't think of one decent thing to say about this meal and, at a cost of over £40, feel this restaurant has lost a customer.

We visited last night with our young baby in her car seat. We were made to feel very welcome and the gentleman working there moved a table around for us so we could put the car seat on a chair and not the floor. Both he and the other lady serving food/taking orders were exceptionally welcoming, friendly and polite. We never once felt rushed and despite being very busy (I would DEFINITELY recommended booking) they came to check if we were ok or needed anything. We were told several times not to rush and take our time, despite the restaurant being full. Plates were cleared very quickly and orders were taken just as quickly. The food was absolutely delicious and the portion sizes are very generous indeed! We had a wonderful experience with both food and hospitality being top notch! I highly recommend this restaurant!

Always use paid 38.00 For the first time all I can say the owners could not have been there the meal was well below standard, source taste not good veg just well killed some prawns so soft other so hard! Yuk sung noodle only cover half Free prawn crackers normal back floating in fat. Curry think and then like water and not all food covered in curry! Special fried rice meats good veg boiled to a soft we’ll all no Rest of meal for daughter she left if Prawn bread cut in half extremely lazy in presentation. Very sad as when the owners not there staff don’t care.

Awesome speedy delivery at reasonable prices.

The staff were super helpful as I needed to arrange food for 18 people. They helped us work out what to order before the day so we all had a plan. Orders need to be placed on the day, and collected. The food was really good quality, the king prawns were soft and tasty, which is not always the case with takeout. The flavours were great and each meal had a distinct flavour of that dish. The Peking duck was really good, sauces were really delicious! Spare ribs in house special sauce were a winner! Apologies we forgot photos but it was a rush to get into the food! Well done to The New Jasmine, we’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area!!

We hired a house locally for a few days and found the restaurant on trip advisor. The food was amazing and great value. What made the meal was the service, we did not feel rushed to enjoy our meal. Highly recommend.

(Excuse my spelling of Chinese words) Yuk sun - lovely fresh crisp lettuce Crispy duck - plentiful for 2 as a starter Mixed platter (with salt and pepper ribs) - After ordering this you wonder how the hell are you going to eat the main course! Ragdan (chicken) Curry - that distinguising flavour of Chinese curry sauce with fresh tomatoes Adding rice and chow mein noodles makes the place a winner for anyone!

What a disappointment after hearing from a few other locals about the change in quality of the food we decided to order what was usually our usual and wow what a waste of money our spring roll looked like the frozen left over party food that you get from Iceland at Christmas, our beef was okay but our chow mein was BLAND had no flavour what so ever and nothing like we normally would have we should have just got a packet of bachelors super noodles and a pack of Iceland spring rolls.

Stale, cold chips. Chow mein not chow mein and lacking in any flavor, curry sauce has the consistency of jelly. Nothing fresh.

No particularly great and certainly not the best Chinese for 20 miles as per the review. I'd stick to the Thai in Hereford instead. Poor quality.

My takeaway meal was prepared for me in about 10-15 mins when it sounded like the phones were mad and the restaurant very busy! My meal was superb, I can especially recommend the ribs!!!! Definitely 5*
