New Lucky House in Bromley

Terrible! The hot and sour soup was very salty and inedible. The won tan in the soup hardly had any meat in it. The noodles were very greasy.

Got salt chilli pepper squid and 2 beef chow mein, opened the lid smelled the food being off. Called and asked what they've used to season, replied as only soy cause. Luckily kids didn't fall ill of eating. I couldn't pin point the reason for such smell. 4.2 star Don't seems to be giving the right rating.

I had a takeaway for the first time from here. I really didn't rate what I had ( chilli beef and egg fried rice) the chilli beef was like eating pure sugar and the egg fried rice didn't taste great. My friend had different ( chicken skewers and mushroom chow mein) apparently it was ok but not amazing. Upon ordering the person on the phone seemed very blunt and not friendly. Unfortunately I'll stick to my usual Chinese takeaway. The only reason we decided on the new lucky house was because it was recommended to me by someone.

First time ordering last night and my god the food was absolutely vile we couldn’t eat it 😡 Food didn’t taste right at all. Won’t be ordering from this place again 😡 We clearly asked for no prawns / fish to be in the pancake roll and the lady sed nothing with be in it so she lied. 🤬 £26.60 down the drain . You need to sort your food out and start doing wat the customers ask for

The last meal we ordered from new lucky house was over a year ago and it wasn't the best, thought we would give it another chance wish we hadn't. The crispy chilli beef was slimy not crisp at all, the sweet and sour sauce and curry sauce was so thin and runny. Won't be ordering again.

Have been looking for a half decent Chinese take away reasonably local for some time. Decided to try the New Happy House and was so pleased I did. Food is tasty , well cooked , and not the usual depressing standard fare of so many other restaurants. Have used it twice now (one was for a family party) and will continue to do so.

Placed an order and was told ready in 30 minutes. Waited over an hour in the takeaway. Got food home king prawns like bullet, ribs just tasted of salt, food was overcooked. Never had this problem with them before. Really disappointed and will not be ordering from them again. Tried to ring and complain, but phone continually engaged

Long waiting time these days. Prices increased but portion sizes have reduced! Quality seems to have declined.

Order semi regularly as live close by so easy to collect. Always fast and friendly service on the phone and upon collection. Good value for money and can’t beat the classics.

Looked at the reviews and ratings as my usual Chinese wasn't open. Reviews said 4.3 on 2 sites. They couldn't be further from the truth! I was told it was 30 min delivery and ended up being 1hr and 10min after calling them! Everything was luke warm,won ton soup was like a mud soup,1/4 crispy duck was off the bone,dry and not crispy! The crispy beef was good but again the sauce Looked like mud! Very unhappy as we don't order takeaway often and this is probably the reason why!!

This is a brilliant takeaway - great food, lovely people. What more can one want? And they provide Fortune Cookies if you want them instead of the usual prawn crackers .. .

As a family we have used this takeaway for more years than I care to remember and appreciate change of ownership. Tonight very disaapointed with our meals, it was more a game of hunt the vegetable in the vegetable chowmein. Portion sizes are good and food is hot. We will give one more try...

I have been eating from this takeaway for over 5 years and have always enjoyed the food. The ownership has changed a couple of times but the food seems to be the same high standard. Reasonable prices, friendly staff, quick service and hot food all help. The only fault I can point to is that although the prices have understandably gradually risen, the number of prawns in the House Special Chow Mein dropped from four to three last year, and is now down to two although the same size carton is used and there is plenty of both meat/veg and noodles!

Tried this place for the first time - and was really impressed! Delicious, good quality food, good prices and lovely customer service :) will defo be coming back - great to find a Chinese takeaway like this in Orpington.

We have always enjoyed a lovely meal from this take-away. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The satay prawns on skewers are delicious and one of my fave starters, followed by prawns hong Kong style with cashews & the chicken curry is good; the curry sauce is always an extra on our order to enjoy with chow mein! Def recommend to all 👍

Dont eat here...there kitchen is so dirty and staff so rude.

We live very near this restaurant and have always used it. It has always been very good and we have never had any reason to complain. The last two times the portions were extremely small and in thin plastic containers. I will give it one more try but if it stays the same we will regretfully have to look elsewhere

Been going here over 20 years, always loved the food and think it's probably the best Chinese takeaway in a 10 mile radius, unfortunately since the new owners took over a few months ago, delivery times seem to have taken a hit, I live around 3 miles away and on a quiet night (e.g. Tuesdays) delivery used to be around 40 minutes, the last few times I've ordered it's been an hour an a half sadly :( hopefully they can improve on this to get back to where it was again

We have used this kitchen for many of our takeaway meals, and have never been dissapointed with the quality of the food, the temperature of the food, and the delivery has always been within the time scale they advised, a lovely company.

Ordered a Chinese yesterday - now all 3 of us have been violently ill.... we have been loyal customers for many years but now had to take my first sick day in years..... disgraceful

It's got a level 5 food hygiene rating!!! All the others in the area are 2 maximum, nice food, ready when they say it is. And its got two golden waving cats behind the counter! Will definitely use again.

I have recently moved to the area and this is the best Chinese takeaway that I have found. Great food, lovely people and lovely delivery drivers. Service is always made personal and they always deliver quality food.

Ordered a chicken chowmein which had no more than 4 tiny shreds of chicken in the entire tray. Waited over an hour and 10 minute's for our food to be delivered. Absolutely disgusting. Ruined our dinner completely. Never ordered from here and certainly never will again! Waste of time and money!!

We have lived in the area for years, but for some reason have never tried this Chinese takeaway. Last night we tried it for the first time and thought it was fantastic, by far the best in the area.

This is a Chinese takeaway on World's End Lane at Green Street Green. The food is really very good, competitively priced and for a nominal fee they deliver to the local area which is really handy. Very good - our favourite.

The only place I can get my sweet & sour because I hate the amount of Ginger most places use. Always happy with my food.

Me, my family and friends are regular visitors to NLH and are never disappointed! The food is delicious and fresh, my personal favourite is the salt and pepper squid, amazing. It's worth the wait trying to get through on weekend evenings, they are busy for a reason! Big shout out to Simon, who always finds time to chat and smile :)

Fab food, never too greasy and reasonable prices. My only comment is that the chicken balls could be a bit crispier but I make do! The curry is amazing and the staff are super friendly too. Nothing bad to say - always delivered hot. Sometimes a wait as they do get busy but usually arrives long before expected.

Just moved back to area from Bromley and had used new lucky house before, but years ago hoped it would be as good as I remembered and they didn't disappoint would recommend in fact I'd say its THE BEST Chinese in Orpington, price is good, food arrived quickly was hot and full of flavour the crispy aromatic duck was AMAZING... meat so tender it fell apart and obvs. the skin was crispy and flavoursome. Mmmm definitely going to be ordering again in future, I actually wouldn't order from anywhere else now.

I have been using this takeaway for a number of years and can not recommend it highly enough. The food is consistently really good, with a great menu to choose from. Delivery is always prompt and the service both in the shop and on the phone is spot on, always very helpful and cheerful.
