This for me is the best Chinese takeaway in Sutton Coldfield. I have been enjoying food from here since the 90's. I have never had/a bad meal. The biggest issue is what to have cause I love it all. Highlights for me are the special foo yung. Monks vegetables. Chips salt pepper. Chicken chow mein. Chicken balls. Crispy beef. Actually the list goes on.

I really can't fault the food here. Tasty and tender meat and lovely cooked veg and noodles. All dishes are hot and generous portions. Expecially enjoy the Singapore rice

This restaurant is generally ok, the food is pretty good, but just lately the sweet and sour balls are terrible, they are mainly mushy batter and the smallest square of chicken somewhere hidden inside. Also they don’t take debit cards which these days is a pain, especially as we are advised to use cards because of hygiene and Covid and all that, they really should move with the times because we are heading towards a cashless society.

Excellent food. Staff are nice and food was made quick. Still very hot when we got home and the food was very tasty

food was ok taste wise but nothing particularly special about it apart from its decent size portions, quick service shame they don’t deliver.

Had Pork curry fried rice, the curry and rice was nice but the pork was processed meat and not real👎..would of given 4 stars for real pork. would not recomend, it would of been a regular weekly visit but not now 👎👎

You can just drop in and wait for your food or phone in advance and they will tell you what time to collect it. There’s a good range of Chinese food which is delicious. I find the portions quite generous and often save some for the following day’s lunch. The staff are friendly. Although parking is limited as there are other shops in the block, you can use the car park at Pesto opposite , free of charge, for 20 minutes which is plenty of time if you’ve phoned ahead with your order.

Do the maths yourself: Often -but not always - you’ll find you’ve been over charged. Depending on the size of your order the overcharge will vary. Anything from 50p to a few quid if the order is quite big. You’ll notice they don’t tell you the price of the order when you phone either. That’s either a genuine but habitual mistake... or a canny assumption that you’ll pay what they tell you when you get there. Do the maths yourself and confirm with them that that is the actual price before she gets her calculator out... though one of the servers doesn’t seem to like it when customers do that! This isn’t every time, but it does happen quite a lot. More often than not I think. The food is your standard Chinese takeaway fayrw and can range anywhere from good to quite disappointing, depending - I think - on how busy they are or how bothered the chef can be to do a good job. For example sometimes the amount of meat you get in a given dish can be adequate one time and the next time you can get a few scrappy little tough bits and tons of watered down sauce... The inconsistency of quality (and price) is annoying

You can just walk in and wait for your meal but I keep a menu in the house and phone an order through, as they'll tell you how long till collection. They do a good range of oriental food at reasonable prices. I like the chicken chow mien. Portions are large so u usually get 2 meals out of one box.

Very quick service and reasonable prices. Lovely chicken and sweet corn soup with loads of tender chicken pieces. Nice chow mien. Sweet and sour chicken balls had too little chicken and way too much tough batter. Eek. Location for me makes it worth a visit again but will have a go at other dishes on the menu. For the hungry rather than fussy!

Local and the food's OK. The last time I went there were 2 females behind the counter. I entered and began to address them prior to ordering. The shop phone rang; one disappeared into the back and the other answered the phone. She finished the call and I began again. The phone rang and I was cut off halfway through my order as she favoured the phone once more. If I hadn't been so hungry, I would have walked. We've since found alternative takeaways where the staff are attentive and respectful.

The food is good and the service quick and friendly. No delivery which would be good sometimes Classic Chinese takeaway menu reasonably priced
