food was late for starters but chips were dead, chewy chicen, sweet and sour sauce tasted like poo, spring rolls were soggy and tasted like bumhole, noodles were half decent 2/10 , but overall made me want to jump off a bridge and throw up simultaneously not a good hangover remedy bye

We’ve used these several times but always overlooked the rude attitude on the phone. Not anymore!! So so rude!! Very short and abrupt!!

Decided to have a takeaway from here having not had one for quite sometime ago. Wish I hadn't bothered. Chicken balls were not crispy & meat inside was undercooked. Meat in the rice was chewy and where was the duck?. Overpriced for what we had to throw away. Definitely not happy. Won't be ordering anything again from here.

On 23/01/21. My family ordered meal for 2 at 18.00 hrs To be delivered they did not give a time of arrival. We waited until 19.20. When we phoned them up. Asking. We’re our meal. Saying in 30 mins They are within 5 mins walking distance. We ordered from another place instead. Bad place to have food. Delivery and timing is very bad. Dissatisfied

Worse Chinese I have ever had! After a 1hr 50min wait having to call multiple times asking when my meal is yet to arrive and being told "In 10 minutes" on 3 occasions. Once my meal did arrive it was completely the wrong order, on the set meals asking for the A1 and receiving the A set meal with different items I did not wish for. Once receiving this menu I called up the business and the woman on the phone was extremely rude. Stating that I was "lying" about what I ordered, I showed no anger down the phone, however she carried on having a argumentative tone. I did not receive any refund or "money off" for my next meal (which I will not be having) not even an apology at the least. Please do not waste your money!!!!

Absolutely vile and their telephone manner is even worse. Won’t be ordering from there again. Didn’t expect much though because it looks dirty from outside too

It’s got to be 30 years since I had a meal from here and how I’ve wasted all those years eating elsewhere. After 10-15 mins our meal was ready. The food was well cooked. piping hot and very generous portions. I will return the next time I have a Chinese take away. Excellent meal thank you.

Been using the place for 20YRS only ever had a problem with delivery as its a small popular place so always order over the phone and collect mostly will be ready in 10mins. But occasionally the wait can longer but worth it tried other places but always go back to here as can't fault the food.

the chicken fried rice is out of this world. you have a choice either one with peas or one without my other recommendation is the chicken char main that is so delightful.

Best Chinese in the area will not go to another one been going here for 10 years now been a few mix ups quickly rectified can’t recommend enough when they are busy they are busy but always worth the wait.

Went here Friday night. Called in & ordered inside. Was only waiting 10 minutes & it was ready! Lovely lemon chicken & rice with 4 free fortune cookies! Will return again here!

Have been coming here for the best part of fifteen years and the food and service are consistently good. A convivial atmosphere and nice ambience.

Just wanted to congratulate this takeaway for the best Chinese food we’ve ever had. Dishes were full of flavour and totally delicious!

Surprised by the bad reviews, we had a very bad experience here 15 odd years ago so had been put off going back. But around 18 months ago we tried again on my husband's parents recommendation. So glad we did, we've had probably 8-10 takeaways since, 2 of which were big £90+ orders for a family get-together, all of which have been spot on. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Crispy duck with pancakes, yuk sung, salt and chilli ribs and salt and chilli chicken wings are our favourite. They were also able to do ribs in syrup even though they are not on the menu.

I haven’t been to New King Wah in over 1 year! Delivery is very slow, witch at the end of the phone is rude! Half an hour she said. An hour later they attempted delivery. Called to cancel the order the order....told her why I cancelled the order. She has blocked me....I don’t care. By the sound of it they have lost a lot of business recently. Change your ideas and your main contact or you’ll go out of business Avoid like the plague. If I could give zero stars I would!

Was very busy when we arrived but food ready 10 minutes after ordering . flipping tasty ! Don't take any notice of past reviews , 20 customers in front of us speaks volumes, delicious delicious delicious ..

Used this frequently years ago but on recent business stayover realised it has gone to pot big time.

Used to order from here every week even though there was usually well over an hour wait for it to be delivered. I will not order from here again. Last time I did I found a bug in my chicken fried rice. Absolutely disgusting!

Qué puedo decir, sonó en orden para entrega y dijeron 25 minutos. 3 llamadas y 1 hora 30 minutos después de comida. La mitad de lo que se describió en el menú era de desaparecidos y lo que hacían era bien mierda. Las patatas fritas eran buenos. Qué decepción. No volveré.

Pésimo servicio. Tan grosero. Pedí cancelar mi pedido justo después de pedir ya había notado el precio había subido de 3 libras. He pedido cada semana, así fue que era un poco de un choque.

Pedí un Chino esta noche, un par de los platos donde terrible, insípido, salsa era aguado y simple, así que decidí llamar y quejarse de que nos dijeron que estaba muy ocupado para hablar contigo, no importa intentar rectificar nuestra orden. Básicamente atrapados con comida comestible. Nunca jamás de nuevo.

Always have a lovely meal from here. Food is hot and tasty. Lovely size portions as well. Feel like you get value for money.

Ordered new years eve Chinese special curry and special fried rice. Chips are proper Chinese chips and curry was really tasty. Best Chinese around bar none lovely!!!

We ordered our food here again this week to find when delivered we had half of the order delivered wrong again. This is the second time on the trot. I understand that there probably busy on a Saturday night but we ordered it at 5.30 so I think there was no excuse of being rushed. My husband ordered roast chicken and chips as he didn't fancy a Chinese, when it was delivered he got chicken omelette..not impressed

Tenemos de nuevo King Wah cada semana. Muy decepcionado esta semana. Nos dijeron 45 minutos más o menos... tomó 1 hora 40. Llamé para preguntar donde estaba nuestra comida... dijeron que era sábado por la noche y que era 45 recapped minutos más o menos. Esta fue una hora después! He dicho lo que puede conseguir gratis por retraso... dijeron pan de gambas... tenemos que cada semana.

We use this place very regularly. Not too long a wait for delivery. Consistently nice, hot food. Never had a bad meal from here!

Although I don't live in this area I have friends who do and we have ordered from this Chinese quite a few times. If they say 15 minutes wait then they probably mean slightly less than 15 minutes which is great. The food is really good quality, well cooked, true to description and really edible. The shop appears to be very clean and hygienic. Another friend lives just up the road from the shop and he says that its always like that but it can get very busy... not surprising really I'd say.

Just a quick review. Absolutely outstanding food, always piping hot even when delivered. The portions of what you order are excellent, there is always plenty of meat (if ordering none vegetarian meals) and don't pack it out with veg. It maybe 2 miles away from us, but I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Have always been delighted with the food fro this take away until last night. Had the ususal, ribs for me and crispy shredded beef for the missus with fried rice and to put it bluntly it was crap. The ribs were all gristle, hardly any meat on them, don't know what the sauce was, ordered Kungo Po, didnt taste like Kung Po and how many onions do you need? Absolutely covered in the bleeding things. Although the beef was tasty it wasn't crispy, so really defeated the object. The price seemed to have shot up as well so doubly dissapointed. Been using this place for years and really miffed that they have let the standards drop to this unacceptable level.

We chose this takeaway after settling into a new home, after sampling several in the area.The food is delicious and is always good. It arrives in good time and always has freebies thrown in. We only have our chinese takeaways from here, it is our local takeaway now.

the food is terrible don't know if I had a bad batch but it didn't stay down for long, and people nearby have mentioned the rats in the garden and surrounding houses so don't know if one got into the curry by accident.

I have been a regular to this Chinese takeaway for years now. My favourite dish is sweet and sour chicken balls with special fried rice. They have never let me down. Their dishes are really tasty and filling!:)

Have not got a clue what a good chinese meal should be like. Not a hint of chili or salt in the so called chili salt and pepper ribs, Oh and struggled to find the meat on them also. If you wanted spare bone and grissle then here is the take away for you. The crispy shredded beef was in some kind of sweet sickly soup that they tried to pass off as a chili sauce. 100% the WORST meal I have ever had. Avoid at all costs.

Swadlincote lacks decent Chinese takeaways. Tried a lot of the local places and given them second chances. This one wins hands down - beef in black bean; duck with bean sprouts; crispy shredded beef and all of the rice and noodle dishes are lovely. Food always arrived hot and contains what was ordered!
