New Jade Palace in Southampton

I get from this Chinese takeaway once a week and have been for a year now! Always arrives quickly and hot. I find sometimes when I order from other places and ask for no veg they just ignore it but this takeaway always does my requests. I highly recommend the salt and pepper chicken and the curry sauce is amazing

Ordered the chicken satay skewers, salt and pepper squid and 1/4 crispy duck, all of it was absolutely delicious. Chicken was really succulent and sauce was tasty, crispy duck was perfect, salt and pepper squid was crispy without being rubbery which you don’t often find and garnish was fresh. Portions where all generous and arrived on time. Well worth the money will recommend to Chinese takeaway lovers

We wanted a quick meal and we got far more than that. What we got was, tasty very fresh and obviously very carefully cooked.

We had booked the delivery for 7.30pm as the birthday person wouldn't be home from work until then,booked online and then phoned and checked this would be okay. The food arrived 40 mins early. It was very annoying......

Decided to have a change from my usual Chinese takeaway. Was apprehensive but can honestly say it was lovely. The chow mein in gravy was really good. Will def order from here again.

It was approaching 7:15 and we had nothing but good intentions. The excitement was kicking in and the atmosphere around the household was scintillating as we were all ready for a delicious takeaway. We had all finished for the day, I had worked a long 8 hour shift and my parents finished with putting our back gate on and also finished working in the bathroom ( putting solvent around the shower). It was around 6 when I first felt my tummy rumble and pure excitement of a tasty takeaway was running through my vines. Although Jade place was by no means our first choice, as we did indeed explore our options. Initially we tired contacting our local Chinese takeaway, who rarely disappoint, only to find the line must’ve been done as it was constantly ‘busy’. Our second option, although a bit further away, did not sell chips on the menu, which was absolutely devastating thus leading us to jade palace. Although they did not sell lemon chicken which was sought very heavily after by my father we had the foresight to see beyond this and instead chose the chicken curry which I must say he was made up with! Once we decided on Jade palace we had nothing but high expectations as my parents had previously had takeaways with them and were pleased with the food. We placed our order at approximately 7.15 and everything was great, the house hold was in great spirits. We had regular updates about our food however they weren’t very accurate as it reported our food would be with us by 8.35 latest. It was creeping up to 8.35 and there was no sign of the food, the nerves were slowly busking up and we were all looking at each other in desperation for our food as we were so hungry. More time passed and it was not 8.50 and still no sign. We had no interest in watching the tv so we turned It off and we opened the Curtains which had been pulled hours ago, so we could see the delivery man when he arrived. With all the lights on however we could not see the out of the front window so we had no choice other than to turn all of the lights on the house off so we could see the lights of the delivery drivers car. We emerged into the darkness and waited and waited. It was now 9.15 and from up the road we saw a glimmer of light, “that must be him” we thought and finally it was! After two hours of waiting our order arrived and the food was marvellous! To conclude, the food was really good but the long waiting time certainly took the anticipation and atmosphere out of the night! Overall great food, but took a year to actually get to us! So if you want it order soon for 2021!

Have been using the The New Jade Palace for more years than I care to remember, and in all that time I can honestly say I can count on one hand the times I’ve not been 100% happy with the food . Ye I’ve tried others , but I think you get used to the tastes and flavours of a certain establishment and somehow nowhere else quite matches those standards .

One of the best Chinese places I've eaten at. Cheap, delicious and very very autenthic. Very recommended if passing through Southampton.

I recommend their food. Tastey and varied. I tried different things. Speedy service too. Nice family business place.

We ordered a wide selection from the menu and each dish was sublime! Thank you, New Jade Palace - we will order again soon!

There was cigarette ash in my chow main. Never again.... completly rank. After tasting that neither me or my husband could not eat the meal at all.. utterly dissapointed as I was telling all my friends and family about how good the food had been but this really alarms me about the hygiene of the resturant.

Food was good and hot! Delivery was well within the time window mentioned when placing order. Portions were a good size!

Ordered some hot special chow mein which was one dimensional in taste despite all the different meats in the dish - the amount of salt in this dish was shocking and king prawns in spring onion and ginger. The dish was 65% spring onions and the prawns had minimal flavour. Maybe other dishes may be up to par ... just not these 2

We drove to new jade to order and pick up food. There is some parking in front of shop otherwise you can park down the side street. Staff very friendly and food cooked quickly. Food was still reasonably hot when we got home. Really enjoyed it, would recommend and the crispy shredded beef was especially nice. Cheaper ordering directly than through a website.

So had the meal for one plus some crispy prawns which sounded amazing. Got the order after the delivery guy gave me an aweful complaint on how he had to walk up stairs to get to my flat. The prawns where cold and tasted over cooked and left on the side for ages. The sweet an sour source was more like orange gunk and came out in one sludge!! Would never even think about going here again and would never recommend it to my worst enemy! Little drastic I know, but I love Chinese and this was aweful!!

Had a take out last week. Was was nice and for the member of our party that didn't like Chinese, the English options were tasty as well.

This place has been around for as long as I can remember, before Netley Chinese started to deliver it was the nearest place that did, its opposite the bus stop in woolston Southampton, if you've got a while to wait for the bus I recommend that sweet and sour chicken balls as a time and belly filler.

Queríamos encontrar un nuevo chino llevar que no entrega y encontramos el nuevo Jade Palace. ¡Qué descubrimiento! La entrega fue rápido, la comida estaba caliente, guau ... el sabor de cada plato era mejor que los que hemos probado en mucho tiempo. Los precios también estaban bien. No cabe duda de que con ellos de nuevo.

Bien, así que tras la Victoria en acequias Bursledon Road (ver mi crítica anterior) tengo que encontrar otro chino. Más en mi zona no es agradable por lo que pensé que podría probar este nuevo. Otra mitad dijo que no había nadie allí (jueves víspera? !) que tenía que ser una señal de que todo iba bien. Sé que mi comida china e india dentro y esto era asqueroso. La salsa curry era insulso no creérselas con sólo una porción picante sabor. Su marido dijo curry era insípido. Cuando fue propiedad de aproximadamente de Jimmy hace ocho años, el lugar estaba abarrotada. Dar este un sitio de paso obligado perderse a menos que realmente no son muy exigente por lo que come.

Great food best around good prices .Also fast delivery Try the chicken curry egg fried rice. Very nice

Food is lovely! Doesn't taste to salty like other Chinese takeaways Iv had, order from here everyweek and had no problems!

Me quedé muy impresionado con la comida de Nueva Jade Palace.
