I have a severe peanut allergy and this place doesn’t have suitable allergy guidelines, I have had a dish that doesn’t normally contain peanuts, I have ate this and have gone into a severe allergic reaction and have had to be hospitalised as I nearly went into anaphylactic shock, I have contacted the restaurant to question what oils they use to cook their food and if this dish contains peanuts which they answered yes and I made them aware I have severe nut allergies, peanuts being my most severe allergy, and I made them aware they do not have any allergy guidelines, they had absolutely nothing to say to me and were talking in the background to eachother in chinese so i don’t know what was being said regarding the situation and they showed no compassion whatsoever which is appalling, it’s the law for menus to show what allergens are contained in a dish and I searched for the dish I wanted and it didn’t show any allergens contained so I felt safe ordering it, People with allergies shouldn’t have to ring up takeaways every time they wish to order food. People in the food industry aren’t taking peoples allergies and dietary requirements serious enough and it’s putting peoples health and lives at risk, I could of gone into anaphylactic shock which has many complications but i’ve still got the aftermath of a very bad reaction, this takeaway should be ashamed of themselves and for anyone wishing to order who has allergies ring them directly and ask for the ingredients of foods instead of going through what i have because of their non existent food allergy guidelines and not showing contents on the menu, i’ve never had this issue with any chinese restaurant

I have lamb chop chips I like the onion gravy and the chips are nice and crisp not many places do lamb chop meal I used to have them in 80s with mom dad from local chippy nice to have them again

We ordered a beef curry with mushrooms & chips spare ribs dry wot a joke the food was cold. 4 spare ribs for £6.50 we rang and complained verbal abuse from the owner. They asked for the food back and they said replace it. And the women on end of phone said she would reheat it and when I,challenged her she said she didn't say that but she did. Will definitely not be going there again very raying 0

Food was freezing when it arrived and rice wasn't cooked fully

Shocking, took for ages to get through, then when we did the guy couldn’t understand a word we were saying and kept getting the order wrong, gave up in the end n went else where

Taste is alright but portion sizes are a joke 6£ for a tiny amount of chicken Atleast add two slices of chicken not just the thinest sliver of chicken. Taste is good though nothing to worry about that

Loved the food especially the chicken balls with curry sauce Super quick as well only waited 10 minutes for our order

This takeaway was recommended to me by a family friend and I can definitely say it is worth your money, I can for sure see why they recommended it Firstly, I had a delivery and it came fairly quickly, it was estimated 45 minutes which is typical for a takeaway but the driver was outside my house in 30 minutes The food was hot and absolutely delicious, I rang the shop to see what vegetarian options were available as I was ordering for my friend who is vegetarian and they immediately listed so many options that all sounds delish The lady on the phone was very patient as well and was exceptionally helpful as we were able to make amendments to our order I ordered salt and pepper chips with the chicken curry and it is absolutely worth your money Unfortunately I didn’t take a photo of the food before devouring it so I could only take one from their website (it came in a takeout box) Best Chinese I’ve tried by far

Had takeout went for mixed grill lamb chop tasted off me a mixed grill from there used be ace well lamb minging chop large sausage too big liver oh size of a 10 pence nd was it actually steak do not recommend delivery brill but food not

I would give more stars but the food was not good. The fish was vile, I enjoyed the fortune cookies and prawn crackers. The food went in the bin. Shame really, I ordered because I'd seen good reviews. Won't be back sorry

Paid 12.51 and ordered food on website. However shop was closed when attempted to collect and no one was answering phone calls. Never received a a call back or refund. Lack of ethics!!

Food was cold, chips were awful- chicken balls are more like chicken nuggets, mixed grill was terrible- smallest box, smallest bits of meat- smallest bag of prawn crackers. Delivery was slow, definitely not worth the money and would advise to avoid, id give a 0 rating if this was available!!

Accidentally left them a 1* on Foodhub trying to turn my phone off. The food is beautiful and the delivery driver was so sweet. Big portions and really good quality. By far the best Chinese/ takeaway in general round here

Disgusting sub standard food. By the time our food finally arrived (1 hour and 20 minutes 30 minutes later than the app said our food would be here) it was cold the rice lukewarm at best. Google should really give us the opportunity to rate a place zero. The most frustrating thing about our experience was the woman who dealt with us the sheer temerity of her to call me a liar was beyond me despite having evidence of when the order was placed the call made to enquire about our order and Ring footage showing clearly what the actual time was of delivery. She had the gall to call me a liar.

Well first of all I’ve had a bad stomach and the food was roar and chicken wasn’t cooked and was pink, hair in my food, food was also late and I rang up and the workers are rude. It was late. If you don’t want to sit on the toilet all day then I wouldn’t go here. I was told that I was lying on the phone. Food was also cold which I wasn’t going to moan about but when I saw the hairs and the roar food obviously that not what I wanted and not what I can eat.

Unfortunately i have ordered from here and returned to find incompetent behaviour from a driver giving where i and other neighbours who regularly order were seen with soggy prawn cracker as i caught the driver licking my prawn crackers and putting them back in the bag.I am not normally a man to complain as i am a pacifist and have seen afterlife on netflix so live life with a positive outcome however this is a disgrace.

This was an absolute shambles, ordered an expensive order, £40 worth for the food to arrive with CHUNKS of hair in. Rang the store and they claim they don’t have any workers with “dark hair” so they tried to say it was false, my brother had to then do down to the store, which is over 30 mins away to prove the fact there was chunks of hair, VILE customer service, will never order ever again.

I’ve been ordering from these since I moved to stoke 5 years ago & tonight we had multiple hairs in our food, when ringing to inform them of this the customer service is terrible and tried to say no1 has dark or curly hair like it was directed back at us, a waste of £40+ and a hungry family.

Must be the worst Chinese takeaway I've ever had chicken chow main was cooked in fish stock and my lady hates fish shredded beef was cooked so much nearly broke my teeth chips were horrible this place is definitely a keep away from I ordered off just eat I would suggest too them not keep this takeaway on there I love Chinese food normally but this one is definitely a no no 🤮🤮🤮🤢

Bacon and sausage was white the steak was bone and fat i got more meat on my index finger. Worse experience iv ever had I genuinely wouldn't give it the dogs . Had to get refunded by just eat but my god ill never go here again

I’ve ordered from here several times and never had a problem. The food is always hot and tasty. The only issue I have is one that I’ve faced today. I ordered the S&S chicken balls, you get 10, and I got 10, however, this time, they were relatively small in size. Usually they are quite big. Today they’re more like large chicken nuggets.

Absolutely disgusted with the food that was delivered I wouldn’t even give this a 1 star! The food that I ordered did not come and when I phoned up about this the lady on the phone was extremely rude and was not bothered about this when I asked for the food that was missed and a replacement for the food that was cold I was told to go elsewhere! Very aggressive and clearly had no simple customer service skills!!!!

Placed an order however we were missing the rice to the order and so therefore couldn’t eat the meal. This meant the rest of the food was going cold I called them to advise we were missing an item they were very rude although they were in the wrong I requested to have the other items changed as they’d be cold waiting for the rice to come they were dismissive at first but said yes it’s on it’s way now. 30 minutes later still no food rang them and they said they still waiting for the driver, I said why lie. We then drove to them giving them the cold food back and they said well don’t order from us again. So rude can’t believe the staffs behaviour and the manager was extremely argumentative with shocking customer service skills although they were in the wrong. Don’t order from here poor customer service and the food is always missing items or cold.

Absolutely disgusting and they can't take it back if it has been opened apparently because of covid. This is no excuse for inedible food chow mein cold rice cold chicken balls been cooked at least twice chips cold and soggy its not acceptable really. Customer service well there isn't any just a rubbish attitude the same as the food. Don't waste your money!

Excellent food and service but large portions not large

Food is terrible my chips were like milk bottles 🤣 I rang to get the issue resolved and was told some chips are Chinese tradition and some are English ( chips are chips ?) To rectify this problem they wanted me pay for delivery again when I had already paid for it once not my problem their chef can't cook chips 😳. The owner on the phone was terrible no customer skills at all she really wasn't bothered they had delivered chips like milk bottles.The chef certainly can't cook if that's the case. Carrots in a beef curry 😳 hardly any mushroom . Safe to say we will not be buying from here again nor recommending people do absolute terrible disgusting food with matching customer service skills!

Been twice since the original owners retired. I was hoping the food had improved from previous visit but no it’s still poor. The previous people used to do banging crispy beef and capital ribs. I miss them

Great tasting food and excellent service Plus they deliver

Took ages waited well over an hour, chips were dry overcooked and we're like they were reheated. Chow mein was slimy and the vegetables all tasted old. The rest was pretty much the same, didn't bother eating it after a few bites. Such a shame as we've had no problems before.

Food was ok. We thought we would chance it. I do prefer FATTS HOUSE. Food taste was 6/10. FATTS HOUSE 10/10, only recommend if else where closed.

Overcharged me,food was not cooked and in parts cold,mushrooms were not cooked,,wont be ordering from again.

I started to order from that place the food around 2/3 weeks ago . I felt a bit scared at first because I read much negative opinions . But for my surprise the food and delivery were sooooo goood . I love the chow main , crispy rolls are amazing . The food is fool of taste and spices . The food when arrived tastefresh every single time . If food is old my nose and tongue easy can get this . So I can’t say nothing bad about that restaurant. It’s not long time of wait for delivery, for sure if the food sometimes take longer doesn’t mean as it’s something big . Every single place when they prepare the fresh food what’s not ready to put just for microwave it takes longer than normal take aways with ready frozen food . Tell now food arrive warm without any issues . Thx so much for ur food 🙂. Keep do ur job well

Just finished my meal from the new great Wall. It was done when it said it would be done. The staff are very friendly and polite, the food Was delicious.

The food was disgusting. Chips were old reheated dry like cardboard. The chow mien had old veg in and chicken was dry. Wouldn’t even feed dog that. Avoid this place at all cost.

Ordered via Just eat and after an hour called to ask where it was. I was told they are waiting for the driver to come back. Food eventually came and is was cold. Obviously hanging around waiting for the driver Reported this on Just eat. I then received a very odd phone call presumably from the owner, asking me what was wrong and being berated for reporting an issue with Just Eat. Won't bother using again. That's not how you deal with customers

Iv just ordered my tea tonight and boy what a cracking meal. Iv not had a bad meal from here in the 2yrs iv been using it regularly. Tonight easy 5*... quick delivery too 👍

Ordered a meal tonight ,they said it would be an hour wait. It took well over an hour and hour rang to see how long it would be. When it arrived it was cold and all slimy didn't enjoy at all. Think we will be staying away from here again .

Interesting experience with New Great Wall tonight. Didn't have a great meal from them or customer service when I called up to report it, despite having excellent experiences with them previously. I left an honest review on Just Eat about tonight, having previously given them glowing reviews. Got a 2-minute voicemail afterwards from the owner(?) expressing disappointment that I'd left a bad review on Just Eat. Not sure that's an approach you should be taking with customers, wonder if you do that with every bad review? Won't be back.

Food is always ok most times but I tried to complain about a meal and they kept saying that we was lying had another meal today and I found public hairs in my egg fried rice I will never go there again its turned my veiws on Chinese from now

It took almost 2 hours and 2 phone calls to get the food. The chips and spring rolls were mush the black bean sauce was more like a watered down satay sauce. I can honestly say this was the worst chinese I have ever had in my life!

Order from here was an absolute shambles, waited an hour and a half for delivery which did not show up. My husband called the restaurant and the said they would get the delivery driver to call when he called he claimed he had delivered to the wrong address and was very aggressive, swearing at me down the phone To give him his dues the manager did come to our home and speak to my husband to apologise, and I appreciate that it is not his fault but that of his delivery driver, but in future he needs to vet his staff better of he will lose a lot of custom.

They give you chip shop chips at the weekend , then they turn to frozen in the week, the gravy was thick in lumps in edable.

Poor customer service. Ordered chicken breast with rice noodles. What arrived was a container with chicken breast, rice noodles covered in bright red bbq sauce. We thought it was a mistake so rang the Chinese. They said that they are unable to cook the chicken without the bbq sauce. What the hell.

Not a pleasant take away, very dingy looking. Shocked to see outdoor coats worn in the kitchen and serving area, unhygenic me thinks, food was very salty, chips dried out for being kept warm for to long, fried rice greasy, prices expensive, quality poor. 1st and only visit, will not be returning

Only given a one star as can't leave less ordered a portion of egg fried rice, a portion of shredded chicken with no sauce, a portion of crispy chilli chicken and two tubs of BBQ sauce not a hard order at all what we got was 2 portions of chilli chicken the rice and BBQ sauce when we questioned the meals we were told that the two dishes we ordered were very similar which is a bit strange given that one is a shredded dish and the other isn't and we have also ordered the same meals from multiple different restaurants and they have never been the same in any way then it only get worse the chicken tastes nasty not even sure if it is chicken to be honest (probably not) then there's the BBQ sauce which just tastes like a tub of salt the is no other flavour in there at all just salt needless to say won't be ordering from there again it was that bad that even my dog turn his noes up at it and he's not fussy in anyway shape or form he will literally eat anything or would until we ordered from here

Since they’ve had new owners, the food has gone down bank. Chips not cooked properly, chicken fried rice tastes awful, and the bottles of tango are a funny colour. Unimpressed, will not be going back.

Absolutely rubbish food! It turned up 30 mins late and was freezing cold. Had fish, chips and peas. The fish was all batter and no fish and really greasy. The chips were really soggy and greasy. Will definitely not be using these again. I wouldn't feed this to my dog. Seriously don't recommend this place at all

Ordered over the last 2 weekends and the food was terrible ! Beef and lamb in the mix grill were small and hard and dry ! The chips seem like frozen chips and not fresh same as before with the old owners ! The fried rice was hard and dry ! And the chicken and cashew nuts meal was dissapointing ! Most was thrown away ! Too expensive now and food not as good standard as previous owners ! Hope they get better !

The delivery driver at this place nearly knocked child over then did wheel spin on my front garden ripping my grass up!! Called to complain said he would come round never turned up !!
