New Golden World in Broxbourne

This is the worst Chinese shop in Cheshunt !!! First of all, my delivery was not complete When I started eating my food, I found hair in it when I asked him about this they was not interested fixing this so basically a £50 order just went down the bin. would definitely recommend not wasting your money here, you will be disappointed

I work as a domiciliary carer, I had a gap and was happy to see this Chinese takeaway. I walked in and ordered seafood chow mein with extra mushrooms. Other customers were in and out and the place seemed busy - phone was ringing every few minutes with customers ordering food. The guy who was serving seemed polite,,, also wished his regular customer happy Mother’s day which I thought was sweet. I was alone when he came out with my order. I asked him for salt (in a nice way) and this guy that I thought was polite turned in to a very rude person!!! He said he can’t give me salt as they have too many orders and they need salt for other peoples food and they are busy. I couldnt believe what I heard and felt very embarrassed. I asked for fork as I will be eating in the car and he gave me fork and tissues. I still don’t know why he couldn’t/ didn’t give me SALT. I had to drive down and buy salt from the one stop. I was just shocked - and felt very disappointed. I will NEVER EVER walk in to this place again. Its a big 0* for the service from me. Very weird guy!!!

Good Chinese take away spot. The food is delicious….im a good cook so when I eat out and say the food is good, it is good.

Food was nasty Chicken looked snotty and tasted like snot Egg fried rice was not cooked Ordered meal went Nextdoor to get cash and got back in 5 minutes and the meal was ready .tasted disgusting 🤢

venue has an odd smell that should of been enough of a sign. food very greasy and has left me with an upset stomach. won’t be back

Food is not bad there actually I'm going there more often now it's under new management

Been using this Chinese for years! Always been happy with the food & always hot even when I get home after collecting. Really polite friendly staff member on the front. Never disappointed. Tried other ones in area and they’re nothing like here

Me and my family have been violently sick with FOOD POISONING after have our dinner from here. My partner was the worst he had a large amount of duck. Will not be coming here again!! My son has had a really bad upset stomach to.

*** FOOD POISONING*** This place nearly killed me, I’ve had a massive food poisoning from their chicken chow main. It is now 3 days since I’ve eaten their food and I am still crippled from the pain. I’ve been suffering from unbelievable stomach cramps, Upset stomach, Nausea, Vomiting, Diarrhea, Fever. I’ve been put on IV drips and all sorts of other medications to ease the suffering. STOP eating from here people, this is not a joke. The pain and suffering is unbearable from food poisoning. I will be contacting the local council about this place. Shame how irresponsible some of these places can be. Keep safe

Pains me to write this but I have to be honest. I've been using this Chinese for the last 3 and half years but I must say its gone really down hill. Ordered tonight and it was bland and tastless was so disappointed the curry sauce tasted like water. Shame as this was a really good Chinese

wosrt Chinese ive ever had tonight out of golden world since mike the old owner has sold his business its gone down hill .the bbq sauce is watered down the sweet chilli beef wad over cooked and chewy,the rice had too much soya sauce in it the ruce looked bkack i wouodnt buy again

Just picked up a takeaway really looking forward to it Especially pay day weekend but this new mob cutting corners bbq sauce favor less cutting corners on Ingredients three to four dishes can cost close too £20 . I'll rather have covid then another takeaway from these people

First time coming here today. I can honestly say gotta be the best chinese around here.food lovely and hot and no grease like most chinese. We definitely become a regular customer. Only thing that let's it down no card payment. But if you can get over that it's a excellent place.

Short changing me didn't bode well. Singapore noodles were good though even if cagey took ages ro Cook I won't becoming again orboreering from them

A fantastic takeaway. Food always tasty and you get large portions too. Good choice of vegetarian dishes. We always go here, or order a delivery. Highly recommended.

Distance delivery during lockdown, so card payment over the phone & food left for us with no contact. Food non-greasy and very tasty. Only negative is the sauces appeared old - they were super thick. Despite this we'd definitely order from here again.

Best chinese takeaway i've been to

On Sunday I made an order and it came within 13 minutes from phone call. I ate the food and its given me food poisoning !! Been sick for two days straight now and had to take time off work because of it. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! Never eating here again !!!!

Not been here for a couple of years due to moving away from the area but had it today and it didn't disappoint.

Good value food and reasonable service. Shame they only take cash.

Ordered 15 dishes and everyone of them was delicious. Would definitely place another order soon.

You can tell a decent Chinese by how greasy it is and the food is not greasy. Lovely special chowmein and crispy chilli beef.

Just realised something!! The guys that work in Oriental Wok at the pond work in this one too!! So basically I reckon they have bought New Golden world. Decent grub!

Dirty, cannot comment on the food because half way through the order, I cancelled and left the shop. On closer inspection I found it to be a bit too dirty for my liking.

Under new management, will never be the same again
