Waited 2 hours 10 mins for the most disgusting, gloppy, tasteless, inedible food we have ever seen. The only edible part were the prawn crackers! Would never recommend or order from here again.

Good food and probably best Chinese in Caldicot but …. Cash only , bizarelly they take card orders over the phone but refuse to use the card reader when you go for collection. I once got them to use the card reader for collection and the woman then simulated as if she was taking an order from the phone 😂 . Went in the other week and flat out refused card so had to go to a local shop for cashback. The chinese a ross the road, New River accepts cards and also online ordering

My wife went there for our meal for the 2 of us , the lady who served us wasn't the one who gave us the food and it was wrong, next time we will check and yes still go there the food is lovely

Tbh not sure its even worth 1 star with probably the worst customer service on front desk ive ever come across. Sooo rude and moody. Disgusting attitude how they slag off their customers. I think you should be aware youre not the only Chinese Takeaway in Caldicot, I wouldnt spend another penny in your joint. Yes its Cash only- for obvious reasons.

I ordered the mixed hors d’oeuvres and salt and pepper squid. They ran out of part prawn toast, the spring rolls were soggy as was the squid. The whole thing was tasteless. I will never go there again

Ordered food for collection 2 hours previously to pick up at specific time and then when we got there it wasn't ready!!! Watched other ppl come in and order over the counter and left before we did.was kept waiting for half an hour with no explanation other than ' it can run over sometimes'.what's the point of collecting if it's not ready?

Food is shocking, had 4 takeaways over a few months, utter rubbish. Nothing fresh. All overcooked. No flavour. Would be nice to do authentic fresh cuisine

Pre ordered a meal here for delivery at 6.30 pm .meal arrived on time ,was hot and order complete.Not the first time I have pre ordered and couldn’t fault it .Thank you Mr Jim and staff ,always amazing food x

Ordered from this place twice now and both times have been awful. Both times told the food would be delivered within the hour. 1 hour 30 minutes later we have to call to see where it is. This time round as I was placing my order the phone was put on the worktop I assume and I could very clearly two members of staff arguing, all the while I’m trying to get her attention to finish my order. While on the phone both times the staff were rude and argumentative. They were very stand off-ish and made me feel bad for asking if my food, which I had paid my money for would be much longer. Stating that by the time she had written the order down and sent it to the kitchen it wasn’t much over the hour. Incredibly rude and disrespectful to their customers. I will definitely not be ordering from here again.

We called to place an order on the phone we asked how long the wait was between delivery and collection and gave our address when just about to place the order they hung up, so we drove to the shop and waited for a couple of minutes until they served the customer who was paying in front for their order, while waiting the 3 staff behind the counter took an additional 4 telephone orders. When I walked to the counter the woman behind then asked me to move a step to the right to place my order as the couple before were paying by cash, I moved half a step to the right and asked how long if I waited and how long for delivery? It wasn't a hard question!! I was then told that I was abusing them and they didn't need to answer me due to my abusive nature, I am a manager for a multinational company and would never abuse staff doing their jobs all I wanted was to know how long I had to wait as I could pop round to the supermarket for milk, now I have had the same treatment in this establishment 2 or 3 times and now I have felt the need to complain, food rating is quite good but customer service is appalling. I left without ordering and went to another takeaway

Had a new garden starter . I like my food cooked but prawn toast was fried to its death and the ribs well not sure told it would be a hour and a half delivery when I ordered it at 6.55 pm . Phoned as it was late . And phoned to say it was not good. !!! Not the best response !! I do not complain nor comment on things but I am so disappointed in our £27 meal and I will never use this place again

Another tax dodgy Cash only place in Caldicot. Food was ok. Standard Chinese takeaway. I would consider it again.

One of the best Chinese Take Away restaurants you would visit! Good food, friendly service, courteous staff, very nice and clean shop with a nicely designed waiting area with red leather benches... I'll give it 5+ if I can. By the way, the prices are similar to any other Chinese Take away... So you wouldn't be paying any extra for all the pampering they offer 👍 I wish such a place to be local to me!!!

Food is great but I have to say the two people on the front desk are so rude. They moan at you if you have no cash even though they have a card reader ? Probably the rudest customer service I have seen in a long time and can't believe I'm alone in experiencing this. Shame because the food is lovely.

It feels like the best of the local Chinese takeaways in the area. That is reflected in the massive queues. Never had delivery but hear them saying 90mins plus on a busy night. I always collect and the wait time is pretty long. Hugely efficient team working there on front of house and kitchen. Food is always good quality and hot when it arrives. Very rare to have a mistake. A good reputation justly deserved. Only real downside is that it’s cash only. I never carry cash any more and taking card payments isn’t straightforward.

Needs to get with the times. No card payments under £15 and no Apple pay

I would give this place 1 star, but I can’t just because of how lovely and friendly the staff are. Been here about 4 times in the past couple of months and I’m really not sure why we keep going back; each time the food is, at best, lukewarm or just mildly gross. I think this time we’ve finally given up. I understand this place is very popular though, so, maybe we’re just unlucky.

Be warned in advance. This place only takes cash. Food is average for a Chinese place, but they are very popular. So expect a wait time.

Absolutely garbage is all I can say about their service. Kept waiting yet again this time for 50 mins past the time the food was supposed to be ready. Ordered at 6.55 pm and was told it would be ready at the latest in 40 mins. Had to walk out without my order at 8.35 pm. I asked 3 times and was told each time they would check but they didn't check anything they just carried on taking orders and didn't seem at all bothered I had been waiting for this inordinate amount of time. Not even an apology! Ill ensure I repay that favor by leaving a 1 star review every week for the next year and will never go in there again.

Delivery service an absolute joke! An hour late, no drivers. Orders should not be taken if they cannot fulfill. Never again.

Very good service and on time when delivered. The food was outstanding as usual. The girls on the phone taking order was very helpful especially with me not being English. The delivery driver was polite as well.

The food was 1.5 hours. Delivery was supposed to be in 1. Food was poor quality. Food was cold not warm actually cold. I had prawns in my order the temperature was worrying. We didn't eat it.

Poor customer service, was told to wear a mask, showed my medical exemption but was told it didn't matter and to go outside and call if I wanted to get any food. Multiple people were entering, waiting and leaving, but they wouldn't serve me. If I did order by phone, from just outside their door, I would still of needed to walk in and pay/collect. This woman didn't even speak kindly nor say please once, so very rude! Needless to say I left and won't be going back there!

This take away is by far the BEST chinese in the area! People travel from many surrounding villages to eat from here! I have never had a bad meal from here, in the last 5 years+! Their BBQ sauce is awesome! Nothing comes close to these guys.

Taste wise this is by far the best tasting take away in Caldicot. the only problem is I have mdical problems which mean I cannot talk on the phone, or walk to them so I need to be able to order online, which I can't. The staff have been there since forever and are always lovely, if ever I could visit a takeaway, this would be it.

Love this place. Have tried lots of takeaways in the area over the last few years and this remains a firm family favourite. Good food, friendly staff. Yeah you can wait a while sometimes but I think it’s worth it.

Customer facing staff need training on how to speak to customers very patronising, dissapointed with the service. However the food was very good.

This Chinese takeaway has to be the best in the area, the customer service is excellent and staff are always welcoming, the food is always very good and reasonably priced, we order quite a lot when we have guests over and we have never had an issue with wrong items which is always a huge bonus, all in all I'd highly recommend this takeaway.

Foods good, they are absolutely busy but that's always a good sign. They deliver but it's cash on delivery which is okay, whish they had online payments but that would probably mean higher prices. Speaking of which the food is fairly priced.

Avoid. Ordered by phone for collection, waited in the restaurant for 45 mins for them to tell me they didn't know who I was. Front line staff EXTREMELY rude and called me a liar. After an awful experience, I then chose to go to WOK U LIKE who were spot on.

Always good food and reasonably priced. Delivery can sometimes be slow (due to swamped kitchens as the drivers are always excellent) and collection times can vary but upto an hour on a busy night as the place is so popular.

The best Chinese Takeaway in the area! very consistent every time, I will never go anywhere else for a Chinese they are simply the best, they are always very busy so order before going down is my advice. Fabulous Chinese Food!

Iv been living in Caldiot for 49 years and quiet regulary have a Takeaway have chiniese from here but had one on friday. It was the worst one i'v have in my life seriosly i ussualy love it from here i have never said i would never go to a chiniese again but i will never go to the new garden ever again all my family was i'll for two day and the rice was dry and the chip were horrible THE WORST CHINIESE I HAVE EVER HAD!!!!!!
