Food was probably one of the best Chinese meals I have had for a while, portion size was generous and cooked exactly as I would expect

Really good. We ordered salt and chilli chips, curry sauce, noodles, prawn crackers, chicken balls, and spring rolls. Everything arrived on time and piping hot. The delivery driver was lovely, and the food was really well wrapped. Even my picky friend loved it, which says a lot! We had plenty left over too. Would definitely order again.

Seen a few good reviews, However i tried tonight i got chips and gravy and my dad got sirloin steak with chips and gravy. The chips where frozen the gravy was absolutely rank the steak was black. No one go you will not be impressed only good thing was that the food was piping hot.

After my 1st visit consisting of a kung po which was excellent I tried a spicy munchie box which was not very nice top chefs is better but £4 more you get what you pay for

Unfortunately, our dining experience was far from satisfactory, leaving us with no choice but to discard the food. First and foremost, the most glaring issue we encountered was the taste of the dishes. To our dismay, everything we sampled had a noticeable sourness to it. This was a perplexing flavor profile that did not align with our expectations or the descriptions provided on the menu. It was not a pleasant sourness, reminiscent of ingredients gone bad or an improper culinary technique. The overall taste was simply unappetizing and off-putting. The disappointment extended beyond the flavor, as the quality of the food was also subpar. The dishes lacked finesse and attention to detail, which further contributed to our dissatisfaction. It felt as though minimal effort had gone into their preparation, resulting in a lackluster presentation and an overall lack of flavor balance. While we understand that every restaurant has its off days, the overall experience at the New Diamond left us wondering if this was an isolated incident or a consistent problem. The staff, though polite, seemed ill-equipped to handle our concerns when we brought up the issue. They appeared surprised and unsure of how to address the problem, leaving us feeling unheard and unimportant as customers. It is disheartening to have high expectations and be met with such disappointment. The New Diamond failed to deliver on the promises of a memorable dining experience. We genuinely hope that the restaurant takes this feedback constructively and works towards improving their food quality and customer service. In summary, we cannot recommend the New Diamond based on our unfortunate encounter. The sour taste permeating the food and the lack of attention to detail left us with no choice but to discard our meals. It is our hope that these issues will be addressed, as there is potential for improvement in this establishment. Until then, we advise potential diners to approach with caution and manage their expectations accordingly.

Placed order at 7pm and money was paid online but they claim that they didn't receive my order on Hartlepool eats when you have acknowledgement on that platform.

We have ordered twice from this takeaway and have been very happy both times. So much food, very tasty and well-priced. Exceptionally clean and friendly and kind staff. The only negative is that they only take cash, however there is a cash machine nearby or in the Spar shop.

Absolutely amazing! I've been to a lot of Chinese takeaways in the town and this is by far the best. Had crispy chilli beef, house special rice, chips, soft noodles, and curry sauce (4 of us sharing incase you think I'm a proper greedy git). Everything was cooked fresh. Not exaggerating when I say it is the best I've had...considering I've frequented chinese from everywhere from Glascow, to Newcastle, to Middlesbrough, to even London. It is never been the case where I've said that every single thing I got was cooked amazingly and tasted spot on! NOT JOKING. Get yeself down there and try it. Is even open on a Monday when most others aren't.

Weve ordered from here a few times and theyve never got our fiod wrong but the last couple of times weve ordered theyve nit taken the veg out and forgot something off our order AGAIN

Absolutely disgusting!! won’t be back. Shared appetisers were from the day before cooked and left out, ribs were tasteless dry and old, spring rolls looked like they’d been flattened and stood on and we only got one of each item. The chow mane was made with vermicelli noodles, totally tasteless, salt and pepper chips were salt and sugar chips and again cold. Over 30 quid for the order and all we got was yeah sorry. Never again.

Had this for the first time tonight and it was lovely food. Didn’t have to wait long either :) will come back for sure.

It shows as being open but it's been shut for a while

As a vegetarian who has been using this Chinese for years I found meat in my VEGTABLE spring roll's. I phoned up to simply inform the lady who had served us what had happened, and was made out to be a liar and sniggered at down the phone. Well certainly not be using four seasons anymore!
