Really disappointed with this place, Esp after dining in the Newcastle branch a few times. Our drinks order was taken, no cobra zero...& no other zero beer was available, it wasnt until I went UP to pay when I was asked, did we not get offered the zero Heinekin?? I had to get UP to ask for ice for my drink, this was requested when ordered & read back to confirm. We ordered our food, 1 of us had a food allergy & when the dips came with the poppadoms - we were told "oh you have the allergy book - you can look in there" Thankfully we had dined at the Newcastle branch who had informed us attentively which dips were safe. The food order was written down & read back which we checked on the menu. Sadly 1 dish was missing & after addressing this TWICE it arrived, rushed & only 3 bits of chicken (£12) Picture uploaded & you can see by the other dishes the meat was plentiful. We were also glad not sat downstairs, when going to the bathroom, there was a horrible smell & we all commented on this. The bill arrived with the cobra zero on & a 10% service charge - so watch out for that Very dissappointing

Wanted to try this award winning restaurant for some time now and got the chance on Saturday and WOW what a culinary experience. The food and service was absolutely fantastic . I loved the menu and the decor was really authentic and different with TVs showing live land recorded links into Mumbai street activity going from day time to night time which was really clever. The toilets played street noise from Mumbai with sounds of people chatter and traffic horns ….. really good. We went for 5;30 and the place was already busy which added to the ambience. A special shout out to Gaurab the manger and Charlotte who were fantastic and made us feel very welcome. The food was Devine and very authentic with good and unusual choices which are very different to your usual Indian menu. We also sampled some of the restaurants signature cocktails which again were themed around India . I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant and I have already booked a return trip, Top Tips ……. You need to ask if you want the street plates first as a starter otherwise all the food is brought out together If you have a chance then sit downstairs which is only used on busy nights Thanks again Guarab and to all your staff for looking after us and see you soon

Tuvimos una comida para llevar desde aquí, la entrega fue rápida y la comida excelente, tuvimos un pollo pathia. Había un montón de carne y la salsa era muy sabroso, sin duda pedir de ellos.

Qué puedo decir, personal amable y buen ambiente. Y cuando se trata de comida también las palabras no dan justicia, disfrutamos de la comida

We ordered a takeaway via JustEast and were honestly a little underwhelmed by it all. We went with the steak and chicken mixed kebab, which literally only had a couple of pieces of the meat we ordered and then was for some reason bulked out with doner kebab. The meat was okay, but not great and the side salad pretty limp and drenched in vinegar. We also had sides of chips and halloumi, which again were only okay. I think at £30 it was really overpriced for what we got, not sure I would be in a hurry to order from here in the future.

Attended a party here last night, Terrible service and drinks. The staff were miserable definitely no service with smiles in this place. I do agree with the last review, the staff need customer service training. Gin with a warm bottle of cheap lemonade for my first drink, Then I got a glass of Warm Prosecco (which I was advised by the staff that the party guests were drinking far to quick so can’t chill quick enough)🥴 Then I received a flat dreg from a different kind of Prosecco bottle which I had to send back. Then I noticed each round of the same drinks I was being charged different prices. When questioned I was told I should be lucky that I have been undercharged the previous time🥴 Good job this place is at the bottom end of the town so it was a 1 off visit, I’ll not have to visit again.

Lovely afternoon meeting old friends & one special friend from Australia. This is a hidden gem but could be improved greatly and 'COULD BE A UNIQUE' place for Sunderland. Firstly they need to get the phone line working. Three of us had tried to get through to pre order food but phone line does not work. Two lovely happy girls on service but they were overworked and looked stressed, they need a pat on the back . Couple of jacket potato orders were missed from one order so it was an extra half hr wait. Then 2 sandwiches came out with wrong fillings then they ran out of bread so no more sandwiches could be ordered. Not the waiting staffs fault but they got the flack. Then we were told there was no white wine left. Such a shame as we loved the place but it needs these things addressing. would still recommend as we need some unusual attractions in our city. With a telephone system that works.
