We ordered a take away for delivery, and ordered it to be delivered at 8pm as we were due home just before then. Just eat then said it was was delayed until 9:20pm so we knew we had plenty of time. I received a call at 6:20pm saying they were outside. I apologised and said it was ordered for 8pm, we are not there to collect it. The driver apologised and said he would sort it. At around 8:15pm I rang up just to confirm that the food was still coming and a young girl answered and said she would find out. Suddenly a very rude and angry man came on the phone, he did not say who he was, and started actually shouting at me down the phone for refusing the order. I tried to explain the problem but he would not let me get a word in. He said on his end it did not say 8pm but I had the app open and it said 8pm on my end. I even tried to say it may be a just eat error but he would not listen. He was extremely aggressive. I asked to speak to someone less unpleasant so he put the young girl back on the phone, who was full of apologies and incredibly helpful. So I would like to thank her and point out how good she was considering how aggressive and unprofessional her colleague was. When the food was delivered the driver was lovely, and he did show the ticket that said 6:55pm (still later than they actually tried the first time) but I explained that I had triple checked and the app said 8pm. I absolutely think this was a just eat error and did not bother me in the slightest, these things happen. This review is based on the vile behaviour of one of the staff. This is the first time I've ever left a negative review for anything because I was so appalled by the way in which he spoke to me. We order from here regularly and enjoy the food, so I really hope the establishment get rid of this awful employee.

Popped into Mangal House for a takeaway at the last minute. I ordered a Chicken Gyro, this came with chips, onions and cacik sauce (Tzatziki). Service was quick and the staff were nice. The meal was filling with a great mix of flavour. Nice takeaway in the local area that offer a mix of cuisines.

Thought I would try a delivery from here to see if it was somewhere I would like to go for a meal and honestly it was they worst takeaway I have ever had. I ordered a pizza which tasted horrible and a parasam which was worse. I asked for salad with the parasam but they gave me chips and these chips were still half frozen. You had to select bechelmal cheese, chilli or garlic with ur parasam and although I thought they were meant to come with cheese anyways I didn't want to take the risk. When it came they gave me these horrible chips and garlic sauce so when I rang and complained they said it came with the cheese sauce??? Why then is it on ur menu I wasn't given a tub of it I was given garlic instead. The chicken on the parasan was just heated and rubbery so it was £20 wasted. Good luck if u order from here and I hope ur drunk enough to eat this crap

We ordered from here told food ready 20 minutes got there to be told cash only these details not on menu or informed by phone when ordered had to go to cash point whereby charged £1.55 to get cash. Food was of a very poor quality frozen chips tepid at best pizza was extremely dry very little sauce I informed girl that was very disappointed with lack of information given re cash only told enjoy food if only would have given zero if possible

After a number of great takeaways very disappointed in tonight's food and service! Parmo was burnt with freezing cold chips, seafood pasta wasn't but Mac cheese with 2 tiny mussels and also cold! Total waste of money. When I complained I was told there are too many people wanting free food so nothing they can do! I definitely wouldn't want free food and would never return!

Had squid ,goats cheese starters.pasta salmone ,pasta carbonara,chilli mussels with chips and cheesy garlic bread all of them delicious ,very generous portions and nice and hot as well .always had great food sitting in well takeaway is just as good .thank you mammas.

Local to where I was staying thought I'd try it out.The restaurant was very busy and the staff were flustered and rushed but worked very hard . There was a good ambience due to the number of people eating.Covid rules were applied .The chicken meal was bland and the pizza average.Overall it was ok

Came here for evening meal, arrived early not a problem seated straight away with menus, gave us enough time to look over what we’d like to eat took order great... food came out hot & fresh , staff could not do enough to accommodate my partner who’d has a gastric band, starter Had filled him up so main got tubbed up not an issue, staff could not have done more to accommodate ****** will definitely be visiting again, if you want a lovely meal in cozy surrounding with fab staff look no further.... thanks Lee & Shaun

Ordered from just eat. That will be the last time I order from here. It was 45 minutes late. My order came to £42 only half of it arrived I rang to say I had not received half my order the guy in the background went off in Italian shouting (have no idea what he was saying by his tone it wasn’t friendly) rest of the order got sent out. Which I was told it would be another £7.80. I said I wasn’t paying for it as I had already paid. The poor delivery guys hats off to them. Vile man and vile service.

It really pains me to write this review as we have been here several times and always had amazing food and service. Last year we had a fabulous evening on New Year’s Eve, everything spot on even though we were a party of 12. However, New Year’s Eve 2019 was disastrous. Our table for 14 people (2 friends decided to join us after hearing great things about our 2018 visit) was booked for 8pm. Our meals were pre-ordered, which we didn’t do last year, so expected to be served quickly and efficiently which is important when you have 3 children in the party.We were not actually seated until after 9pm by which time the kids just wanted to go home and were becoming rather tetchy, as were the adults to be honest! We were eventually served (after being given menus and expected to order again, although after we told the waiter they decided they already had our pre-orders) at 9.50pm. We ordered drinks from the bar which arrived in dribs and drabs over about 40 minutes. We are still waiting for two of the starters to arrive! When the mains came half of them were barely warm and my son’s steak was totally inedible, I don’t think it had even seen the grill let alone cooked, it was purple inside. Dreadful. Needless to say we didn’t order desserts as we would have still been sitting there now!There was one waiter and two staff on the bar, one of whom had just started that day and was thrown in at the deep end, and the other had actually just called in to eat (she was the owner’s girlfriend) and was roped in to serve. The only apology we had came from her. It would have been nice if the owner (the waiter) had apologised but this did not happen. We understand that staff shortages occur but a heartfelt apology would have gone a long way to ease our frustrations, but no, met with head down, no eye contact at all while we all stood for an hour waiting to be seated.The only thing that was achieved quickly was when we asked for the bill. Now to me, any good business man would have halved the bill or at least taken off the drinks as a gesture of goodwill but no everything (other than the still alive steak, which my son said when he sent it back that he wouldn’t pay - by this time he was past being hungry) was to be paid for. When we went to pay the bill we said we weren’t prepared to pay all of it and they eventually knocked off £30, which was again left to the owner’s girlfriend to sort out, he just disappeared. With hindsight I think we should have just given them half of the total because in all fairness it wasn’t even worth that. Ruined our evening, we thought we were in a new episode of Fawlty Towers. Such a great pity as we really loved going there in the past. We were not the only ones to have had such a bad NYE experience and I feel it will take an awful lot for this business to survive if things don’t drastically improve.

The food, the service, and the owners negligent attitude completely ruined my families New Year’s Eve dinner. We were part of a large pre-booked party of 14 people that included family members and friends from locally as well as the United States. Everyone at the table was shocked and appalled at the wait time (we pre-booked and pre-ordered for 8pm, and did not get sat down until 915pm and did not get food until 945pm!), the food (absolutely disgraceful, undercooked, wrong, and cold), the service (horrendous), and the lack of customer service (pathetic). Zero leadership and/or apology from the owner for what ended up being a total disaster of a meal from start to finish. Zero compassion. Zero effort to make things right or to try and solve the problem. Zero communication. I am of the belief that pure greed caused the delays and wait time issues, as clearly they had given our large table and probably some of our pre-ordered food to some “walk-in party” earlier in the night too close to our 8pm slot. While I can understand this is certain unique situations for much smaller tables/parties, I would never expect it in this situation where we pre-booked months in advance and paid a deposit!!!! And on New Year’s Eve!We spoke to various other patrons who were experiencing similar issues with pathetic cold food and ridiculous wait times. Everybody was fuming. So it seems like the entire night was a disaster for this place. to the owner——What happened? And what are you going to do to put things right here for the good people who’s big night you destroyed?

The best meal we have ever ate! Dont let where it is put you off. Parking out the back. Friendly staff, happy hour deals fab, best steak ever! Cant wait to return!

RottenThis restaurant offers home delivery as a takeaway I would suggest not attempting to try this at all if you’re looking for good food travel a mile and a half further up the road to a proper Italian restaurant. Food quality and delivery times are a joke if you want your order for around 8 o’clock I would suggest ringing the restaurant at 4:30 pm delivery times are diabolical. Food came cold and to be honest you would be better off going to McDonald’s. Pizza was absolutely disgusting and the pasta Bolognese was pretty much out of a packet you could do better yourself with a microwave meal. Try it you might like it.

Popped in for some lunch with our 3 and 8 year old. They ate for £2.50 which is amazing and we did the 3 course special. Really relaxing and the food was amazing as always. Really worth the money and a lovely place. There is a small car park on site which is on a hill but accessible. Inside it’s all flat with plenty of room to get around.

We booked for our daughters birthday and had great time. The restaurant has such a lovely atmosphere and the food is also very good. Staff are so friendly and go out of their way to make sure you are looked after. Thank you for the lovely surprise for the cake with a candle for our daughter she felt really special. been here many time and had lovely food but its been taken over,food is expensive and digusting,husband asked for chicken and chips he got BOILED CHICKEN,, 2 tiny pieces grey coloured disgusting 10 chips for £12 ,,absolute disgracefull how they dare charge us that much ,wont be going back ,my lasange was a frozen meal ,i got £5 back when i complained but still not happy

Lets start this review by saying we have visited this restaurant many times in the past and have fabulous food and service which is why we booked it for our wedding anniversary meal with friends on 13/8/19. However, what we did not know was that it has changed hands. As soon as we entered we were aware something was amiss as the people at the next table were complaining.We then waited for about 40 minutes for our order to be taken as there was only 1 waiter in who was serving drinks and food and to be honest he was the only decent thing about the evening. Eventually after about 1 hour 10 minutes we got our starters. 2 were ok but the 2 who ordered calamari were disappointed by the minute portion served. We then waited about another 40 minutes for our main courses. 3 arrived the 4th one didn't turn up. This had happened to another large party who were served before us. When it eventually turned up it was disgraceful. It was supposed to be spaghetti bolognese. it looked like mince in gravy with out 10 pieces of spaghetti in it. My hubby had seafood pasta which had a few mussels in it a couple of prices of calamari and nothing else, no prawns. It tasted awful and it was sent back. We then asked to speak to the owner who was cooking that night!!!!! as the chef was on holiday. Well what fun that was. He said he was sorry but he'd only had 1 booking that night, that was us and he had 2 large walk in parties and it meant things got a bit out of hand. He offered us a free meal if we went back. not a chance. I do want to say that Michael the waiter was superb. He did the very best he could in such difficult circumstances and if not for him the night would have been even worse. We were given a bottle of wine to take home and various things left off the bill. If there was no chef available he should not have taken bookings as the owner clearly cant cook. If you read my many reviews you will see I never leave negative feedback as I do try and see the good in everything but apart from the waiter nothing else was good. If you are thinking of going check the chef is in.

My fiancee and i visited here yesterday (been here many times) and as always, we were delighted with the food and wonderful service that maurizio and his team provide. There is a friendly atmosphere here every time and nothing is too much trouble for the staff who are brilliantly accommodating. The 3 course lunch is great value for under £10 and there are several choices available.

We had table of 5 adults 2 children and what an amazing night we had ! Food service with a smile was fantastic just couldn't fault this restaurant ! Only thing I can say is you need to brighten the appearance of your restaurant from outside a little bit other than than we had a brilliant time and will certainly return x

Wonderful experience from start to finish. We got there we were greeted and made to feel welcome, we all ordered a steak to be cooked different and all were cooked to perfection and tasted beautiful I will definitely be going again to try more dishes if the steak was anything to go by the others will be beautiful too, the great service continued throughout the evening and the staff are very friendly.

We celebrated a birthday here. Amazing food and so reasonable. The wine was very nice and service very attentive. Well worth a visit - don’t wait just for special occasions. This is a fab venue - good for evening meals and for romantic occasions.

Well we went for Sunday lunch here at 1250 and we ordered lamb to be told there wasn’t any! It’s on the menu which I checked online before we drove there so I wasn’t happy. We were offered pork as an alternative. Thankfully my son was ok with pork. However when it arrived, it was pork steaks chargrilled and he didn’t enjoy the charred burnt taste. The only saving grace was the venue was clean and decor really good (and my son loved the mash)!

Had a lovely tea out . Staff were lovely, food was great, kids meals were a good price , the children loved they pizzas. Would recommend.

We tried this restaurant out for Sunday lunch. Service was very good and I couldn't fault the staff, they were very friendly and helpful. The food was very average, not the greatest Sunday lunch by any means but it was fast enough and good value. The Yorkshire was nice, turnip lovely but mash lumpy. Portion size not very big but adequate for a lunch.

2nd visit to this Restaurant and as always Food and Service was Fantastic. Traditional Italian food prepared by Chef Gerry delicious as always and the waitress Stacey looks after you very well. Restaurant is nicely decorated, and lovely and cosy we will definitely be back again and many more times to try award winning Chef Gerry's food.....Try his burger WOW!!!

Visited here with four friends and we all had the three course special as it was such good value for £9.95.

Me and my other half were brought here by his cousin and her husband. The staff were super friendly from the beginning, we were accomodated quickly all evening and never had to wait for anything. Starters all went down a treat (we had brucetta, carrot soup, garlic bread, and calamari) my main was delicious (chef special tuna steak and lobster spaghetti). My dessert wasn't the best thing in the world but I wouldn't complain as everything else made up for it anyway. Our waitress Stacey was a gem with us, making us feel welcome and taking banter from us all. Would recommend and hopefully visit again next time we're in the area.

Visited Mamma’s for the first time tonight and was greeted by a lovely young lady called Stacey who saw to our needs throughout the night, what a bobby dazzler she is and a real gem. We ordered many drinks along with starters, mains and desserts which were spot on. Very tasty and good value too. We will certainly be back as we only live 10mins away. Thanks again folks.

We have revisited since the new chief has takin over and I must say it was just as nice and the price of the special is even nicer. There was a young girl singing and she was excellent and she sang requests The waitresses were really friendly and nothing was a bother. We'll b definitely back xx

Tried a takeaway from here tonight ordered over £30 worth of food and we were so disappointed got muscle in chilli sauce starter we had 6 each but could only ear a couple as they were so chewy awful!! Then I had chicken breast in crema sauce and it was burnt and dry the chips were just like fish shop chips.. and don't even get me started on those things that's were meant to be onion rings!! Stay away save your money it's meant to have a award winning chef I don't believe that for 1 min

My son loves your mash and suggested a revisit last Sunday. I’m so glad we did. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The food was hot, tasty and plentiful. There was a young lady with guitar who played throughout our visit and even played a request for my son. We were celebrating his birthday so he was very happy overall as was I. We will be back. Very busy and we went at 1330hrs. Shown to our table and drinks ordered which came quickly. There was only two meat choices left but when the meal arrived all my son did was praise the mash. He would have been happy with just a plate full of mash the meal was hot n tasty and venue/toilets clean. The table next to us were eating Italian dishes which looked delicious. Will be back

Although we love the food here tonight we got a take away pizzas needed at least at least another 10 minutes as wasn't cooked properly, pasta and garlic breads were lovely just need take away pizza's cooked longer

Visiting for my daughter's wedding, she and her fiance took us here for an evening meal. The food was delicious, and the service excellent. Huge portions, an abundance of sauce on the dishes. All 4 of us couldn't finish our meals, and the waitress offered the option to take the rest home! Really good value for money .. 2 courses plus an alcoholic beverage for less than £20 a head! Thoroughly recommend this place for a meal out in a relaxed atmosphere.

This was our first visit. We live nearby so thought we would try it. We hadn't booked but there was plenty of space. We were a little surprised that we were shown to our table but not asked what we wanted to drink. But a few minutes later we were able to order our drinks and then our Sunday lunch. The drinks and food arrived quickly. We both enjoyed our meals. The waitress who brought our coffees forgot our chocolate which we didn't expect as you don't always get one. Oops she said I'll get your chocolates, you can't have coffee without. She brought us two each. We would go again.

Visited with a family of nine today for a birthday, was a little disappointed this time as normally always really good. Staff are amazing but on a Sunday they now have a singer on and you cant really have a conversation with your group. They offer the normal Sunday menu along with their normal menu, everyone was content with food but the Sunday dinners people had were look warm at best. I assume they were waiting at the pass why those orereding food from the standard menu had their food prepared. Will return ,but most likely not on a Sunday the singer is a bit pointless and really you can't even hear yourself think.

We didn’t intentionally come here. We went along to Mamas Kitchen but they were full. All I can say is I’m over the moon they were full.

We went here for a birthday meal tonight. We called in on Monday to ask about lobster as we had seen it on the menu in the past, but it didn't seem to be there when we checked. The gentleman on the phone was very accommodating and asked us if we wanted a seafood platter with added lobster. He even asked us how we wanted the lobster cooked and served but we left that up to the chef.

Went here with my partner to celebrate my birthday, the food was delicious and very reasonably priced, we were served promptly by a cheerful and helpful waitress, however the taps in the toliet were not working and I was unable to wash my Hands after using the toilet, not ideal in a restaurant.

Once again this place never fails us. Impromptu visit with family for Mother’s Day tea, didn’t book but after a busy lunch they still welcomed us with open arms and an excellent meal. Ozzy and Stacey run a very friendly restaurant with excellent food and service and however busy they don’t drop their standards. Excellent, highly recommended.

Just been for Sunday lunch, we had never visited before. The place is very well done out - simple white walls giving things a nice clean look and just about the right amount of Italiana up on the walls. Staff were incredibly friendly and really added to the feel of the place. Food was great, none of us had a meal we didn't like. Roast dinner was generous, pretty good tomato soup and the risottos went down well.

We visited this restaurant last weekend for a last minute treat. It was around teatime so the place was quite quiet so difficult to judge the atmosphere of the place. There are so many Italian restaurants around that it's easy to compare good and and not so good restaurants. The food was very tasty indeed and the service was good. Only criticism re the food was the strange choice of deserts. A bit like the frozen desserts in Spanish restaurants which no one eats. Having said that I was still impressed. Restaurant didn't feel cosy but I accept that may be due to the time we were there.

Wow we're do I start! I can't say thank you enough for yesterday. OZZY, Metti, Stacey and the rest of the team were fab couldn't do enough for us. From booking the private room upstairs a few weeks back till everyone left the christening yesterday the team were amazing very friendly and attentive. A big thank you to the chefs who cooked and served up some beautiful food, pizzas, pastas, garlic bread, chicken gouions, wedges, cakes plus more and they were all fresh hot and homemade. All the guest said they food was beautiful and was more than enough for everyone. Ozzy has gone above and beyond my expectations even making Emily my daughter a beautiful picture for her christening day which she'll be able to keep a for memories.

First visit to Mamma Mia Italiano and certainly won’t be the last. Was very impressed with everything. Visited for tea with husband and 2 kids aged 12 and 8.

I've been here twice now, most recently as an all adult group. The food and service are excellent and very good value too. The menu is extensive with a great selection to suit all. The staff are attentive but not overbearing, and they genuinely seek honest feedback to improve. This is a very good recent addition to the local area and I recommend a visit.

Arrived 6pm was made welcome as we entered the restaurant and escorted to our table food was simply brilliant well impressed with everything we all had different meals starters and main and initially sampled each others really good food. We will return, good size portions, enjoyed the experience.

We have been to mamma mia’s a few times now to eat in and take away and can’t rate it enough! It’s a lovely family friendly restaurant with great fresh food! We tried out the new take-away menu today and must say the new burgers and the kebab box are both lovely, the burger is one of the best I’ve had! A must visit !

Second time we have been here and I have got to say it's our favourite restaurant by far, the quality and service you get here is the best around. The seafood pasta is super tasty and you can tell it's cooked with freshest of ingredients also the staff are really friendly and welcoming. Not one really to ever write reviews but can't rate these enough..ps the garlic mushrooms are lush

The four of us, (me, my wife and two teenage kids) came here on a Saturday night,our second visit. Again great food, good atmosphere and decent service! It’s by far the best in the area!

Went last night food was amazing cooked fresh starters to mains and desserts were brilliant. Decor is lovely and fresh the place is a lot nicer than the Indians Naz Haven before had a quick look at the hygiene rating before booking as that's really important when looking at a place to eat and the restaurant recently got a 5 star rating that puts your mind at ease. You can look into the kitchen when walking in and it's totally spotless. Special thanks to waitress Stacey for being warm and bubbly making our night. Owner came over and spoke to our party which was a nice touch. Looking forward to going again when in the area

Absolutely beautiful, as soon as you walk through the door you get the WOW FACTOR, same can be said of the delicious food served up, great service from the most friendly staff. The owner Ozy came over and introduced himself, he talked to us for quite some time, really nice guy. All in all a very enjoyable experience.

We have eaten here 3 times since it opened and loved it every time. When we went with our children for my son's 4th birthday, the staff made a big fuss of them both and really made us feel welcome. The birthday mocktails went down a treat and the food was all delicious. Stacey (The waitress) was a big hit with both of my children.

This restaurant has just opened and is literally 1 minuet walk from my home so I had to give it a try. I visited the end of September with a friend. I was very impressed with the decor. The staff where very pleasant. Service was very good. We ordered a bottle of wine, starter to share 2 steaks and 3 sides and was very pleased with the overall bill. The food was delicious. I will definitely be back. Thank you to all the staff for an enjoyable evening.

Absolutely beautiful meal, service was perfect nothing was a bother for staff when I asked for extra garlic for my son who loves it with his pizza, definitely planning on returning prices reasonable, looking forward to my next visit there 😋

Went for lunch and drinks today for the first time. I will start by saying as soon as walked in we thought,,WOW! The decor is amazing and the Art on the wall fabulous. The food and wine were amazing too. Could not fault a thing. The owners came to talk with us and we're there for ages after our meal, explaining where they were from and why they opened the business in Fencehouses, explained to us he is an artist, and did all of the art work,other than a couple of ladies who he met at art college, who came and did a beautiful mural on the wall as a kind gesture. After all of this, when I was ordering our taxi, they made me cancell it and gave us a lift home!!! Words are not enough to explain how great thisl place is, the hospitality is second to none,they even explained where all the meat comes from and how much,and it is certainly best quality meat they source. And they by the best meat for the customers, and don't make a big profit. We can highly recommend this place, and will most certainly go back. Also the staff were fabulous too. I like to try new restaurants in my area and this one is a really good addition. Lovely food great service & the inside has been updated brilliantly.

Visited tonight with friends . Very nice place . Loads of work been put in to get it to the high standard its in . Staff were profesional and very nice . Food over all was very good . Didnt eat steak but saw one being served and it looked amazing looking forward to next time to try it .

new business second day after opening ,had table booked for 5.30 and there was already some family groups in with other diners arriving all through our stay.service was prompt and friendly ,we got good bottle of pinot grigio and ordered our starters and mains ,bruchetta and calamari ,when the starters came we decided to share them the calamari with a strong garlic mayo went perfect with the sweet tomato and bruchetta.we were asked if we were ready for our mains ,pizza pollo picante and pizza pepperoni,again going halves on the pair .thin crust hand thrown bases very nice and fresh as could be ,the picante really quite hot .we decided to have dessert so asked for what was left of the pizzas to be boxed which was not a problem.our friendly waiter said they had dessert sampler if we would like to try ,it came on a large heartshaped plate, 8 small desserts, selection of creams and flavoured sauces all lovely.a great meal and service .will visit again
