Had chips and fishcake Saturday it was disgusting will not go again the fishcake had no fish in rock hard batter and looked like it had been reheated 0 stars

Very friendly staff. This is a takeaway fish and chip shop. I was on holiday, so I had no knowledge of good takeaways in Sheffield. Upon entering the shop,we were greeted by the very friendly staff. Our order was cooked fresh. However, there was fish in the warming cabinet. The portions were very good, and the fish and chips were cooked to perfection. The fish was thick, white, and flaky. It was an ample portion for anyone. I can honestly say that I was impressed. Unfortunately for me,It may be quite a while before I visit again as I was on holiday as I said but would not hesitate to go here again. Absolutely delicious fish and chips 🐟🍟

The food was AMAZING. diverse choice great. Partner kebab …me fish and chips. And I have to say. THE BESTfish and chips I think I’ve ever had and that’s a fair few. Great great can’t wait to order again

Food was hot and tasty, cod especially well cooked and the batter, my only gripe was value for money, more expensive than most and portion sizes much smaller too but well cooked, hot and tasty. It’s a bit annoying to be charged service charge and delivery !! Would we have been charged service charge had we come to collect? Felt a little annoyed by both charges.

What happened ? The driver delivered to no 7 Rivelin valley road ?? Even though I had put a note on the order to use the gate next to red garage door and there’s no garage at all at 7 rivelin valley road so wth is going on why are you not reading the additional notes totally unacceptable plus read the address how can you end up at a wrong address !!!

It’s a not cheap, but it’s very fresh and tasty. An example of you get what you pay for. I’d much rather pay twice the price for freshly cooked.

Ordered from here many times, but tonight was weird. The fish was like it had been sat out all day; very dry and tasteless. The chips look like they’ve been throw back in the frier from earlier. Won’t be revisiting.

app never updated from food being prepared so called restaurant who said it had been dispatched 20 mins ago, but we only live 5-10mins away and it hadn't arrived. advised by restaurant to call just eat. called and spoke to a lady to ask where our food was at the point it just arrived. the meal was fish and chips and due to the delay the meal was lukewarm and soggy and i didnt eat it. Not the fault of the restaurant as their food is usually excellent. Very disappointed and it cost nearly £40.

Decent fish and chips. Chips were slightly soggy and fish was quite greasy but it was alright. Couldn’t believe they charged £8 for a tray of mixed meat - tiny portion! Food was quick l to arrive.

This is dreadful food! Do not - NOT - eat from here. We used to have food from this shop back in the day, and it was excellent. Tonight, fancying fish and chips, we ordered through Just Eat, expecting proper fish shop chips, and fish in decent batter. Were chips that were clearly frozen, thawed and subjected to a cursory frying and fish in thin, wet tasteless batter. Verging on the inedible. Paid £29 for rubbish.

I expected chip shop fish and chips - I've had great food from this shop in the past - what I got was frozen and thawed chips that had been given a cursory frying and were thick, clumsy and hard, and fish in thin, damp and most definitely uncrispy batter. Verging on the inedible. Having not had fish and chips for a long while, we were eagerly anticipating what turned out to be a major disappointment. I do not understand the positive reviews, unless this was an untypically bad night, or that the tolerance of third rate fast food has become massively more relaxed.

£7 for a SMALL fish and chips is insane. In this economy it's not worth it. Cod is not really crispy, kinda eh, food was still warm after a 30 minute walk so it's alright. But not a place I'd frequent.

I ordered a small portion of fish, chips and curry sauce and it was £8.30. This price seemed high to be but I was in a hurry and after seeing the reviews on here thought it’d be worth it. It really wasn’t. The batter on the fish was thick and stodgy, and the actually bit of fish was very small. The chips were ok, not good or bad, just average but the portion was very small. The curry sauce was typical chip shop curry sauce and I had no issue with it. The lady behind the counter was pleasant and friendly. Overall, I felt annoyed that I spent that much money on a small, underwhelming dinner.

The fish and chips are pretty good aswell as tasty. But hospitality and service is a bit questionable and blunt. If your local and been going there for a 100 years then you'll be greeted by a warm friendly face. But if its your first or third time there, the staff can be rather blunt and want nothing to do with you. My advice just treat everyone the same, old or new.

Food was good but i knocked down to 3 stars becuase i ordered a two bags of chips in my order and only got one. Checked the reciept and it indeed said two bags.

My first order but certainly not the last. The cod was white on the inside the batter crispy and dark golden ( not yellow like some) just perfect!! Even the chips well cooked crispy yet fluffy on the inside just excellent!! Thank you!

I received undercooked and inedible chips and promptly contacted the chip shop. The staff at the chip shop refused to collect and replace the chips, but suggested a refund instead. However, they informed me that refunds should be sought directly from Just Eat since the order was placed through their platform, but she will authorise the refund. unfortunately, my refund request was denied. I am so disappointed, as I have lost over £10 on food that me and my children were unable to eat.

Really greasy and very well done

Chips weren't the best, greasy and just not right. The fish was mushy and didnt flake like a good fish. Couldn't eat it all, the dog didnt mind!. The curry sauce was more like Chinese curry sauce also, all in all disappointed.

Everything is expensive these days, but this is still a great chippy. The portion if chips is generous and the fish is amazing.

Second time I've driven here when it's supposed to be open and it's shut. Won't bother trying again. I know that's harsh but it's not hard to advise your opening hours..

Best food so far, Chips OK !, Peas Great !, Plaice ,Very good!. The Roe was the best I've had for years, fresh & lovely & cut thick, Its rare that Roe arrives this good. Thanks for this meal.

I like the fish & chips here as long as they are frying separately from other foods! I wish the staff to be careful not to touch the money & the food with the hand.. Also, to find out a way to let the smoke of cooking to go away from the shop.. it's fine unless you've got an asthma 🙃.. Many thanks

Easily the best chippy in Sheffield, The staff are lovely, the food is consistently good, the portions generous and the pricing is fair given all of that. Oh and while it gets busy at times, that's probably a good sign rather than anything else!
