Truly the best Chinese takeaway in Hereford. Sad they don’t do delivery but I will never get from anywhere else. Been here for years and even servered my mum when she was 20, and now I am! Very good prices too Please never close!

Take away last night set meal for 2 would not have fed 2 starlings . £14.00 for 2 pensioners was awful. When we went back to to complain we were told it was meant for 2 small people!! Didn't say that on the menu would not consider a refund.

Our Usual chinese, staff are friendly, prices are decent(If a little expensive) as the food is amazing, and cooked very fast, never had to wait more then 20 minutes, highly reccomend this Chinese, in my opinion the best in hereford, try there BBQ ribs- the best in town, and for only £6 you can get a great tray meal, there lovely fried rice, with the delicious chicken and char sui and bbq sauce. Highly reccomend, esspecailly if you live close to the river, much better then many others, Ruby and such. Even if Planet buffet is more for your money, if you want something to eat at home, defiently New Canton House And with orders over a certain threshold of price, you get there amazing crackers, for free.

This place is absolutely not worth the money, for what it is. Terrible service with terrible owners, the prices are ridiculous! Never again!

A good Chinese for food, the staff always friendly and cheerful. Would definitely recommend. Only down side they only take cash payment.

The soup was still hot which was good, I ordered tofu but the flavorful gravy was missing, though the vegetarian noodles were tasty, I will order again some chicken based main dish and review again.

...further to my last review... but then they have whopped a 20% to 25% price increase on everything. Still the debatable decor and "no cards accepted" - fine if the food and the prices were OK but.. We are checking now out the other places and will report what we find...

I had a beef chow mein and vegetarian spring rolls and a side of chips. Chips were lovely, spring roll was lovely however when cutting into my spring roll I did find a prawn and the fact it is called a "vegetarian" spring roll, it didn't seem quite vegetarian to me. My beef in the chow mein was quite dry, but I did order it without any vegetables so it was cooked separately but I feel that it shouldn't be an excuse for my meat to be dry. Other than that it was quite nice.

Okay it doesn't take cards and the decor may not be first class but don't be put off. We were despairing of finding a good "Chinese" takeaway in Hereford when we heard about this place. Very good. Each of the three dishes we had their own distinct flavours and spices - Great. We will be passing again.

What a find I am always looking for the perfect chinese take away and I think I found it last night. The food was delicious the curry sauce amazing. This will definitely be my take away of choice from now on iam getting hungry thinking about it. It was definitely 10 out of 10 and if I could give a higher score I would fantastic.

This is by far the best Chinese in Hereford...they don't take cards they dont deliver but by God the food is great..Ron is fast and efficient on the counter and knows what I generally order even reminding me if I forget the curry sauce for my wife...I would 6 star if I could

Ordered chicken curry's with chips and rice all food very tasty would recommend any day all great portions

I've been a fan of this Chinese for a long time but the friends I was with had not been before very positive feedback from them. Quick service and stayed hot enough to travel 5 miles Would recommend again

I think this is the first time I've been here since the Crystal Rooms closed. Food was good, pancake roll was huge and tasty, reminded me of the ip sisters. I had Sweet and sour king prawns and they were lovely.

Had a lovely meal here in the week not badly priced at all worth a visit but don't expect the man to speak to you behind the counter cause he was not a people person but at the end of the day we weren't bothered as we were there for the food really,Would definitely go there again.

Inexpensive, but tasty. Fab vegetable chow mein and sweet & sour dishes, amazing chips. Very quick service.

New Canton House serves the Best Chicken Chow Mein by far! I have visited many Chinese Takeaway all over the midlands and last week I came to visit some friends in Hereford and ordered Chicken Chow Mein. It was very FRESH and TASTY!HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE CHICKEN CHOW MEIN DISH ;-)

This place serve the best chinese food i had in a long time , great value for food i never feel broke after eating.

I have been visiting this Chinese takeaway for over 20 years. It has changed hands a few times but I have always been served by "Ron" who has worked there for many, many years.He knows me by my first name and gives an excellent service. The food has always been good and we have sampled/ordered many of the different dishes over the years and have never been disappointed.I often telephone my order nowadays and the order is always ready when I arrive.The prices are very reasonable too.

the new canton house is the best chinese takeaway in hereford by far, the service is excellent and if you spend over £13 they throw in a free pack of prawn crackers.
