This cafe, sited beside free parking on Morrisons supermarket, offers traditional British sandwiches and cakes without the frills at very reasonable prices. Our chosen bacon bread roll and egg mayonese sandwich were well filled and tasted good. The bread choice was limited to white and brown wholemeal.

Well if you love microwaved bacon this is the place for you. My advice is to stay well clear , it was day light robbery. They didn't care if you enjoyed your food or not. I will not be çalling there again.

Lovely atmosphere and great service. The food is good and the cakes are amazing! Katalin, the lady who makes the cakes, has an amazing talent and can make cakes for any occasion. She made my son's Christening cake and it not only looked amazing but tasted great too! Would highly recommend, especially the tiramisu cake :-)

The cakes are lovely the staff friendly and the prices reasonable ,what more can I say ! This is a small friendly establishment with car parking nearby. Worth visiting Malton if you are travelling on the A64 to or from Scarborough.

It's a bit hard writing this review as the staff were so lovely and helpful but the food was just barely edible. My husband and I both got breakfasts, me the smaller size, and both our eggs were not cooked properly. They were still like jelly and cold , hope that makes sense lol. The rest was ok. My husband loves his food but was not impressed by this. It's a shame as it looks very nice and clean. Really nice staff just not good food unfortunately.

We popped in for afternoon tea last Wednesday, we were very impressed. The cakes are dangerous if you are on a diet. They shout "Eat Me" they not only look amazing they taste even better than they look. They gave you a generous helping too, so forget the diet for the day. The tea was served in proper bone china cup and saucer! and lovely tea pot very pretty the hot chocolates were nice too, shame they didn't do milk shakes for children. I liked all the little hand made things around the tea room it which are for sale too. Lots of different little idea for presents too. plenty of space so great if you are a family or group on a day out. WE will be going back again very soon

We called in on the off chance to try this cafe and was very impressed, we had a short wait while our breakfast was cooked but well worth the wait, it was really tasty and was obviously not cheap and nasty, gorgeous sausages. The owner was a character and very friendly and staff were very pleasant. Will call again.

Excellent F&C. Probably too many chips. I would suggest cutting the portions down. The quality of what we had was very very good. We are visitors and unlikely to be back in the area for a long while, but would recommend to anyone looking for a delicious F&C.

"you enter as a stranger and leave as a friend" said the bar room sign which greeted this weary wanderer who'd taken a wrong turn. I ordered a pint and sure enough before it was pulled I was in conversation with a local man who thenintroduced me to the bar staff! The Sunday Roast was in full swing, the campers were in and out from the pub campsite and the occasional labrador was stealing hearts but nothing seemed to much trouble for the staff. This is a proper country pub, as warm and cosy as a storybook cottage and it's charm appeared to be working on a nearby American couple who's fantasies of an Olde English Country Pub had all just come true. I was on foot and was a few miles from the nearest town but lo and behold one of my new-found companions insisted on giving me a lift... As I exited the bar I glanced the "enter as a stranger and leave as a friend" sign again - this pub does what it says on the tin!

Absolutely loved this pub/restaurant. We sat outside with our dog at one of numerous tables and had a delicious Sunday lunch. So much flavour in the meat and the roast potatoes were the best. A bit pricey but worth it for the setting, the food, the service and the landlord brought out some steak pieces for the dogs to share. Amazing.

It would look like I’m beating a drum for this pub! But we keep going back because to be honest it is just such good value. Tried their two steaks for £20, choice of rump, sirloin or ribeye, we both went for sirloin, superb, cooked as we wanted, medium rare, salad, mushrooms, peas, onion rings, and a separate bowl of chips. You must try it! I also think you will find it harder to get a better pint of bitter, landlady told me lines are cleaned at the change of every barrel as well as normal cleaning.
