Nice eat-in or takeaway café, the best samoas at the best prices. No one does samosa like these! Amazing friendly staff. Love the lamb curry on a cold day. I came all the way from Dunstable for a lamb curry and garlic naan for brunch. Vegan options, too.

We placed an order for a family gathering on boxing day and Tayyib was great and very supportive. We ordered Chicken Tikka, Lamb Kebabs, and Masala Fish Pakora. The food was incredible and we will be ordering again in the future. I'd highly recommend them for a catering order.

Been to this place for Puri Cholay since I was young and never disappoints, today we also had Pani Puri and chai and they were all lovely. Cozy atmosphere and good food

Right, so I walked past this place and their Nihari offer caught my eye 👀. Nihari and 2 naans for £9. I thought in this cold weather that's a steal and worth trying. Usually the most tired looking places have the most authentic tastes. From my experience not every restaurant offers Nihari (like people do with Biryani which you find everywhere and it's so bad). So if they're advertising Nihari surely it couldn't be that bad. We step in, and the place is relatively quiet, really tired looking and it did make me question my choice. But even with the deco being incredibly dated, the table and seat was clean and I was still trying to keep an open mind and remember never judge a book by its cover. Immediately, the staff are all super approachable/welcoming and not the typical attitude to servicing customers like you expect from any other Asian place where it feels like you're an inconvenience and want to ask them for the bare minimum. The guys took my order with no issue, no need to repeat 3/4 times, just super helpful, super smooth ordering. With that, we later discovered the owner was also sat nearby and gave polite recommendations and exchange pleasantries. Anyways, the food came, piping hot, and much to our surprise the food SLAPPEEDDD!!!! It was so good. It was served in authentic crockery that you'd find at your grandmother's home. It felt like you were in her house and I actually unwind and relaxed. We learnt this shop had been here 45 years! That's saying something. The food was so good we even stayed for proper Pakistani chai and dessert. The shop has an abundance of sweets from mitahi to freshly baked biscuits where the owner gave us a couple to try for free. They made the chai fresh in a pot just for us. The whole experience was so enjoyable, all the guys are really nice and also great value for money. The food was delicious fresh snd nostalgic. I'll definitely be back. My only recommendation is to slowly fix the decor bro. But I'll be BACK!

I will not mantion but i am the manager of a shop in Bury park ,which one is the most busy one . I was asking something about Roti " i said just Bhaia ...... i said bhaia the Guy literally stop me with hand and told should i take his order or not .He look so angry . What i have done ?. after this situation my friend look at me and i look at him . Ohhh My God . I wish This shop owner ever experience this kinds of situation . What ever My freind and me always come here to take curry and butter nun . Not anymore Now . Thank You very Much to the shop owner To keep these people for customer service .

The food at New Ambala is delicious and the service is great I definitely recommend coming here if you are a fan of Pakistani dishes. The atmosphere here is calm and all the people who work here are kind.

I have only been here twice. Once on Eid and once yesterday. Both times for 2kg Chicken Pakora. First time they were mild. Second time very spicy. They were made fresh for me and ready for collection. Because first time they were mild, I didn't know they could be made spicy. They still tasted nice though. Just some polite request- if someone orders chicken pakora, ask them if they want mild or spicy. Thank you. Workers are very polite. Will definitely try other items.

"Unfortunately, the chicken pakora was not fresh and seemed to have been heated in the microwave multiple times.beause was dry and very hard. I noticed there were three microwaves on the shelf to heat the food, suggesting it wasn't freshly cooked. This seriously affected the taste and quality. I won't be going there again.

I recently tried the tasty chole at new Ambala in bury park Luton and I must say, they were perfectly boiled and simply melted in my mouth. The achari flavor added a nice kick to the dish and made it even more delicious. However, the bhature were a bit too oily for my liking. The service was excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and would definitely recommend trying the tasty chole despite the oily bhature.

Absolutely horrid - I ordered Karhi pakora and they gave me chanaa curry which I’m allergic to without informing me and charged the whole amount. Applied for refund in Just Eat for wrong item, they said they can’t provide refund. Overall SCAM. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT

Excellent traditional Pakistani food

Chicken biryani wasn’t a biryani, it was just rice with some chicken pieces chucked on top. The food wasn’t fresh and cheap cutlets of chicken were used. The hygiene is questionable and the service was inadequate. Shop should take some advice and make some improvements rather than being trigger happy with their responses!

Amazing and fairly priced halal food! I'd recommend trying the achari gosht, garlic naan and samosa chaat. They've reduced the prices a lot for Ramadan. You can get a nice biriani for just £3

I am always a fan of their pakoray , roti/nan and curries. But you need to try out the masala cod fish. It is absolutely delicious. Chips at first weren't that special quite soggy ....but *now* it's a massive improvement ....do try the fish and chips 💥

Ddnt wanna leave a review but the guy at the counter left such a petty face that im going to. So I Ordered 6 samosas and asked for enough sauces. Worker gives me 4 sauces. I politely asked for two more and he reluctantly gives me two, mumbling on that they don't give that many sauces. So let's do the maths. If I ordered one samosa, I'd get one sauce at least, 6 samosas would mean 6 sauces at least. But the worker makes a dumb face over giving less sauces. Pure pettiness, that's all I can say. So, thanks for responding (Mr Owner) but now I have to make it super clear as to why I left a review as you don’t realise the point which makes your apology to the situation pointless. 1. Reviews are not always about the product itself, there is such thing as CUSTOMER SERVICE. Product is good, that’s why I still come to you :) 2. My kids each want to have their own sauces with their samosas, however you, the owner expects two people to share one small pot of sauce between two then that maybe your world, but my world is the CUSTOMER’S WORLD and customer’s world is what you should be focusing on. 3. if your employee doesn’t want to give the extra sauces, he could have politely declined, but he makes a weird face and goes on about ‘no one gives that many sauces’. This is the root cause of me having to leave a review which is about this particular treatment and as a customer I found it disappointing as I am a regular customer. Don’t worry about turning this wrong into a right, as the owner you are good with your customer service skills but doesn’t necessarily mean your workers do. That’s where you can turn the wrong into a right, not just for me, but for everyone insha Allah. I might have been harsh in my review but its the only way businesses can improve where they need to. Ordered Chicken and vegetable pakoras. Chicken was not properly cooked, no flavour. Mint sauce and chilli sauce was not nice. The vegetable pakora vehsan was not fried properly. Very bland in taste

Dining is not the best, could do with some tlc & needs to be more inviting. Cutlery needs updating & the cups seriously need hygiene attention to it, alongside the store itself. Food, was on point. But could be warmer. Pricing is reasonable. Especially with my fav being on offer Samosa chaat ,2 for £7.99!

This is not original 'Ambala' sweet shop, what we see in Wembley. The shopkeeper was not a friendly person. None of the sweets were fresh. Kaju katli was hard as a stone. Rasgullas we're hard to bite. Other burfi were so old. Only gulabjamuns were ok to eat. Total disappointment. I bought fish pakodas. That was good. I had to refry them in air fryer as they were kept in the shop in open tray and not in any hot boxes. I also heard shop staff murmuring to dispute whether the biriyani was ok or not ok in their native language. I ll never visit again. A honest red flag from me. As always the owner will post some weird response. Good luck guys.

Had a wonderful visit to New Ambala where we tried their new cod masala fish which was delicious. The fish was fresh, not greasy and the spices were spot on. Very generous portions too! Would also recommend the chicken pakoras 😋

100000% not recommended. Most expensive food prices in Luton with below average food quality. Tasteless food and the salesmen are very rude and nasty and have no sense of customer service. Just compare their plain rice portion of £5.00 with A1 Lahori zaiqa’s chicken biryani of £4.00 only. That’s crazy.

Honestly the Best samosa chaat I have ever eaten, and I've tried samosa chaat from Ilford Lane and green street. I wandered in here as I was visiting Bury Park for the first time. The manager was very charismatic and friendly and could tell I was new. And pls try the Pakistani truck tea. It is toooo good. We have lots of tea places in East London but this reminds me of visits to Pakistan and tea from tea stalls on GT Road. Also tried the chicken pakoras which were so tasty and nice to have a differnet taste than the normal pakora batter taste. Bliss!

Came in for breakfast. The food was delicious, we really enjoyed it. Staff were attentive, and the service was really good. I have been in before for samosas/kebabs, etc; they have also been very good. Only critique would be the seating area - I feel like it could do with a bit of reviving and modernising to move away from the dated look.

Chicken biryani was expensive, chicken was old, and just few chunks were in one portion. Not a single full chicken cube or proper boneless I guess they use leftover chicken chunks. They should improve to justify the pricing in area
